Continuing One's Craft

Kiyoshi would awaken in the early morning, finishing his morning ritual of showering and eating, Kiyoshi would head to his workbench. He had been working with weapons mostly ammunition for his puppets, this of course lead to him wishing he could craft the ammo faster. He finished the blueprints for the molds last night, and now he was ready to begin his crafting of his design. Grabbing four units of clay he would begin to make the molds for Kunai this would allow him to increase his efficiency in the crafting of the weapons, as well as the speed in which he could craft them. Once he would get them in shape he would use his kiln to help in the hardening of the clay as he worked the other half.

Crafting:

Finishing what would be the first of many of these types of molds for crafting small weapons, Kiyoshi would grab four more units of clay. He would be simply repeating the process of what he had just done, but that did not make it any less important. He had to take special care as he shaped the molds ensure that each was perfect, a single imperfection in the mold would ruin what it was that he was trying to accomplish. The only way it worked was through perfection, so that when he used the mold all the kunai would come out identical to each other. Kiyoshi would carefully mold different units of clay into the Kunai molds as he worked on his second.

Crafting:

Two mold down, and two more to go. Well of this particular kind that was anyways. The plan was to have four of each type of ammunition for his puppets, that way he could craft the kunai, shuriken, or senbons faster. It was unfortunate that these molds were taking so long though, but that was the price he would have to pay for the perfection that the molds demanded. Without leaving his chair, Kiyoshi would reach over and grab another four units of clay. This time would be slightly easier, even if it was no faster than the last two. His careful shaping and scraping of the clay as the mold would begin to take shape, the small indentions within it to hold the future metal to be crafted into Kunai. Careful to ensure that this one would be the exact same as the last two.

Crafting:

Finishing the Third Kunai mold, Kiyoshi would quickly move on to the fourth and final of the set. The Casting molds had but one purpose after all and that was to help increase the efficiency that he was able to produce ammunition for his puppets, it made the repeating of the work over and over again worth it. Just as he had before he would be careful to ensure that the mold for the kunai's were perfect down to the exact shape and amount of metal that it would take to make each one so that they would all be exact replicas. The tediousness of all of this would eventually pay off, he just had to keep telling himself as he went through the motions of making his fourth casting mold.

Crafting:

Kiyoshi would sit down the fourth Kunai casting mold and stand back to admire his work for a moment, smiling to himself. That was the last mold, he would make others for the senbons and the kunai possibly even arrows, but for now he would stop. Kiyoshi would set the four molds to the side and grab a unit of clay, just because he was done with the molds it did not mean that he was done with the clay. No, it was time for him to make another figurine, one of his puppets, just as he had done for Goliath, Mini-mi, and the wolf puppets. This time it would be a sculpted figurine of one of his newer puppets Kenro, the puppet he designed with not a lot of weapons but to mimic the taijutsu users he had seen around the village.

Crafting:

Finishing the model of Kenro and placing it into the kiln, Kiyoshi would grab another unit of the clay. There were so many things that he could do with clay, but this time it would be a figurine of his puppet, Yami. Though he doubted that he could make the clay shine as his puppet does, the model of it would still be added to his collection. The simplicity of the design only speeding up the process by making it easier to mold the clay into the shape he needed to make a miniature model of yet another puppet of his.

Crafting:

Setting the figurine of Yami into the Kiln, Kiyoshi would let out a small sigh. It was time for him to start on what he had been putting off, as to why he had been putting it off, not even he knew. Was it because he was scared that he was going to mess it up, or was it because he was wishing to spend more time working on his figurines and ideas for future projects? Kiyoshi did not know the answer but the time for putting it off had passed and he now needed to get down to business and start crafting some armor. He was going to start small and work his way up just like he had done with his other crafts. His first attempt at armor was going to be a pair of gloves, like he said start small. Grabbing a unit of polymer and iron, Kiyoshi would get to work on making the gloves.

Crafting:

Completing the gloves, Kiyoshi would briefly slip them onto his hands. He had to be sure that they were as he planned to advertise them as after all, once he was done, Kiyoshi would grab another unit of clay there was still one more figurine that he needed to make, his the third of his new puppets, Chitora. Taking carein shaping the four arms and long nose of the model of his puppet.

Crafting:

Setting down the figurine in the kiln, Kiyoshi would begin grabbing units of glass. He had plans for different types of poisons to use with his puppets, he knew he would need a way to store them. Crafting some vials was of course the solution to this, sure he could go and buy them like everyone else, but there was something about working with glass that made him want to try it.

Crafting:

Finishing the set of twenty vials, Kiyoshi would quickly seal them away, he could deal with filling them later now that he had plenty of them. Poisons were perfect to add to his puppets, he only wished he thought of it sooner. For now however he would return to his armor work, another pair of gloves. He wanted to ensure that he got the gloves right before moving to more complicated armor types, he had to walk before he ran just as he had with the rest. Though thanks to his time smithing weapons this was easier for him than the first time he crafted a weapon.

Crafting:

Kiyoshi would finish the second pair of gloves and move directly on to the next pair, grabbing a unit of polymer and a unit of iron he quickly went to work. He didn't waste time admiring his work, his focus simply on repeating the process again. Heating the iron and mixing it with the polymer, allowing the flexibility of the polymer to remain while still providing the hardness of the iron. The process was slow at first, the heating of the iron feeling like the longest part of the entire process each time. While he waited for the iron to heat up to look over the second set of gloves, identical to the first he would smile to himself as he worked on the third set of gloves.

Crafting:

The young crafter was moving quickly as another set of gloves were now complete, Kiyoshi would set this pair with the other two, taking a moment to compare the three pairs as he took a drink of water. Nodding silently to himself as he thought, one more, just one more and then I will try something else. Kiyoshi grabbed another unit of polymer and iron, repeating the process he had already done three times before, heating the iron as he prepared the polymer. While he waited for the Iron to finish heating, he wondered exactly what his next project would be after he finished the gloves, slowing shaping the gloves as he let his mind continue to wander.

Crafting:

With the fourth pair of gloves completed, Kiyoshi would place them with the others before grabbing a set of blueprints and two units of titanium. Now that he had replicated the armored gloves four times in perfection, he felt confident enough in his abilities that he was ready to move on to something slightly more complex than a simple pair of gloves. He would begin by allowing the titanium to heat while he looked over the blueprints of the buckler. While more complex than that of the gloves, it was still a rather simple design and should not take him long at all to make.

Crafting:

As the titanium heated, he began the process of forging the two units together. The pounding of his hammer echoing through his small apartment workshop as he began to flatten the two metals into a single item. This was actually harder than Kiyoshi had given it credit for, with the gloves it was simple enough for him to mix the iron into the polymer. With this buckler however, he had to ensure that the metal maintained some kind of form. He did not want it as mailable as he had the iron with the gloves, no one wants a flimsy shield. It had to be strong and durable and for that he had to not heat the metal to full liquid state, slowly shaping it with the beating of his hammer.

Crafting:

The pounding of his hammer would soon give way to the shape of the round buckler shield, as well as the handle to hold the shield. Once the basic shape was done, Kiyoshi would begin putting the finishing touches onto the shield. It was what was going to set this shield apart from all the other shields that are made like it, a special etching design that he made. It was a pattern made to look like a cosmic galaxy, his attention to detail on the nose as he etched the pattern. It was merely decorative of course, but he hoped that it would be this designed that caught somebody's eye and brought them into his shop when he had it up and running. Finishing the design, Kiyoshi would give the buckler a polish finish before looking over his finished product with a smile. Setting it down on his workbench, Kiyoshi would head for the shower and then to bed to get some rest, done with work, at least for now.
