Hunting: Chen Kimyōnakama

Arriving in the remains of Sunagakure, Diana remained underground & undetectable using Mayfly as she would activate both her negative sensory alongside her chakra sensing technique and begin to zoom through the ground underneath Suna like a bat out of hell, searching around for Chen alongside registering any chakra signatures she wasn't aware of. if she was going to do this right, she needed to find his location, prepare her techniques far enough away from him that he couldn't react in time, and then strike him as hard as she could.

Seeing the destruction as she moved around Suna with her limited Mayfly sensory told her that she had failed to protect Suna. Buildings were destroyed, people were dead, and it was all just a bloody mess both literally and metaphorically. Even if she used Volens Memoria to collect the minds of those who died, Suna had suffered under her watch, and she would need to make as many amends as she reasonably could.

Cycling through her knowledge of techniques, Diana would settle on a very simple way to remove him. It certainly wasn't going to give her any points, but she needed to make sure he could not escape, or worse, kill her as she prepared.

She had gone through the entire village, but there was absolutely no sign of Chen.

She was too late. Too late again. Apparently he had left a week or so before her arrival, which made things much more frustrating for her, as now she had no way to locate him. Exiting from the ground, she'd truly survey the damage the man had done, and it was devastating for her to see.

It was rare for her to express her feelings, this was something that was very well known to her. whenever she felt joy, sadness, anger, it would usually manifest in the form of a smile or frown. Not this time though. As she saw the devastation that was wrought to the country she agreed to watch over, she could feel something build up within her; her eyes would flip between an activating and deactivating her dojutsu as a third eye made of chakra would form on her forehead. it felt like it was getting harder and harder to breathe, and she could hear the very simple question asked from the back of her mind.

'Do you wish to make him pay?'

She knew what was asking, or rather who was asking. Nue, the Demon beast could feel the negative emotions radiate from her being right now and Diana wasn't sure if it was asking because it saw a moment of weakness, or if it truly cared. Right now, she wasn't really sure herself, and to a greater extent she didn't really care which it was.

'Yes, I wish to erase that mockery of a human off the face of Kishin so that those who have died did not do so in vain.'

A dark aura surrounded Diana, the Pseudo-Kata of Nue as she let it's power leak through the seal.

'Then use all of my power as if it was yours, and scream your anger into the heavens. We will make sure you do not fail, for we acknowledge your year of survival in our domain and our defeat at your hands.'

The dark chakra would flair up around Diana as she felt Nue's power flow into her. before Diana had used their power almost like a tool; yes she knew it was a living being, but she did not fully grasp it's feelings at the time as they got used to one another. Now though, as her body transformed, she understood its underlying anger even more.

A sentient being pulled away from their home, the anger it felt. She channeled both it's anger and her own as the transformed Diana would roar into the heavens.

"CHEEEENNN!"

It would be a good half and hour before Diana was calm enough to de-transform, having stent the time surveying the destruction while staying mostly silent after she had yelled out Chen's name. It was a tragedy, yes, but all hope was not lost. After calming down, Diana took in the situation.

First and foremost Chen was gone, and she didn't know where he was. Until he surfaced, she wouldn't know where he went, which would be an issue as very likely the next person who would be hunted by him would be a victim. Second was that Suna, while in ruins, would be able to rebuild. She was already directing people to bring those who had died to her so she could provide the village with memory marbles of the deceased so that Suna would not forget those who were lost to keep their flame alive. Third, she needed to finish the adaptation of her body with Nue's Chakra. She had already done a fair amount of work, but they both knew she could go farther.

With that in mind Diana would give a goodbye and a promise that aid would come when she returned to Iwagakure before slipping back into the ground back to the Land of Earth, as she knew there were plenty of missions that had been left untaken that she could use to become stronger.
