Operant Unblemishing

Pulling his goggles up Nakaba would step back from his 30th time delayed feeder. The original series had the issue of dogs reaching a paw in and breaking the motor to release all of the food ahead of schedule. This series wasn't perfect, but they were easy to repair and hard for animals without thumbs to break. The engineer would set them up in each of the 30 locations that appealed for the dogs in their area to be fed.

Nakaba went around to each of the thirty feeders bribing dogs with odiferous, high calorie treats. He pull a lever on the machine to ring a bell, and then he would manually pour food into the delayed feeders bowls with the pull of a lever. The next day Nakaba would repeat the process. The next day Nakaba would repeat the process, but wouldn't give the dogs treats ahead of time. The next day Nakaba would walk to the machines, and the would go off automatically. By the end of the week  Nakaba would wait for a feeder to go off automatically at noon, and watch as the chime of the bell brought a handful of dogs to each of the feeders. Anyone who wanted more than that could request another mission.
