Mantling A God Empty Mantling A God

Post by Arisu Thu Sep 14, 2023 9:02 pm

In the serene heart of Kirigakure's wilderness, surrounded by water as well as plant life, Arisu Otsutsuki sat cross-legged on a moss-covered rock, her eyes closed in deep meditation. Her journey to confront the Sage of Six Paths and master the Six Paths Sage Mode had led her to this pivotal moment of self-discovery and mastery. Arisu's meditative practices and her journey to perfect this power was taking up most of her waking hours at this point, but she was close to a break through.

Meditation had become an integral part of Arisu's daily routine. She understood that to unlock her full potential, she needed not only physical prowess but also mental clarity and spiritual balance. As she breathed in the fresh damp air, she let go of distractions, doubts, and fears, diving deep into the recesses of her consciousness. In this tranquil state, Arisu tapped into her inner reservoir of chakra, allowing it to flow and circulate freely within her body. She focused on the rhythm of her breath, synchronizing it with the natural energy of the world around her. This communion with nature was a cornerstone of her training, helping to ground her.

In a way, she was following along the same path as Hagoromo, becoming one with the planet. It was key to her though, she was in training to become the god of this world, its protector, and so she needed to be as in tune with nature as anything else. Being a Sage had to be like breathing; second nature, but also something she could function well without.

Arisu's mastery of her Rinnegan played a vital role in her meditation practice. With her ocular prowess, she could see the chakra networks within her body and the world itself. This allowed her to pinpoint the most potent sources of natural energy, which she then absorbed during meditation. With her eyes closed, Arisu visualized the chakra pathways within her body as intricate networks of rivers and streams. She learned to navigate this complex system, channeling the energy to vital points where it would enhance her physical and spiritual capabilities. This precise control of chakra flow was a prerequisite for achieving Sage Mode.

The heart of Six Paths Sage Mode lay in the connection between her and her environment. Arisu's meditation allowed her to forge a deep bond with the world around her. She felt the pulse of the ocean, the rustling grass, and the flow of a nearby stream. Nature's energy became an extension of her own being.

In this heightened state of awareness, Arisu could sense disturbances in the natural order, including the presence of potential threats or allies. Her Rinnegan allowed her to see beyond mere appearances, unveiling the true essence of the world. This communion with nature not only enhanced her sensory abilities but also imbued her with the strength and wisdom of the environment itself.

Sage Mode was a three-stage transformation, each stage building upon the previous one. Arisu's journey through these stages was a testament to her discipline and unwavering determination.

Stage 1 - Gathering Natural Energy: In the first stage, Arisu focused on gathering natural energy from her surroundings. With her acute chakra vision, she identified the most potent sources and slowly drew the energy into her body. This required immense concentration, as too much natural energy could overwhelm her, but too little wouldn't do anything at all.

Stage 2 - Balance: The second stage involved achieving a delicate balance between her own chakra, the gathered natural energy, and her physical and mental faculties. Arisu had to harmonize these elements seamlessly to avoid losing control of her transformation. It was a challenging process that demanded exceptional control and composure for most, and even she struggled with it. It wasn't something she'd been practicing her entire life, even though she was naturally gifted.

Stage 3 - Sage Transformation: The final stage of Sage Mode was the transformation itself. As Arisu achieved perfect equilibrium, her physical appearance altered. Her eyes shifted into a golden color, her horns grew larger and took on a blackened coloring which faded into her pale forehead, and her abilities reached their peak. In this form, her strength, speed, and sensory perception were enhanced to an extraordinary level.

Arisu's journey to master Sage Mode had been fraught with challenges. She spent countless hours in meditation, honing her ability to gather and control natural energy. There were moments of frustration and exhaustion, but her unwavering determination pushed her forward. She was a patient woman, capable of spending days without food, drink, breathing, or moving. All she needed to do was focus on the world.

She often found herself reading over the teachings of the Sage of Six Paths. His guidance and world view was invaluable, helping her broaden her understanding of her duties to the world. It was interesting to know that she'd be fighting an avatar of his in order to more or less become his spiritual successor. Once she surpassed this challenge, she'd be ready to continue with earnest. Kitsuki wouldn't be happy, but they both knew that there was no stopping Arisu's progress towards godhood without killing her, so it was bound to come to a head at some point in the near future.

As Arisu's mastery of Sage Mode grew, so did the benefits it conferred. Her sensory perception reached a level where she could detect the faintest movements and disturbances in her vicinity. Her physical abilities surpassed those of most shinobi, granting her unparalleled agility and strength. Moreover, her chakra reserves expanded, allowing her to perform powerful jutsu with ease. Sage Mode also heightened her strategical prowess. She could analyze her opponents' movements, predict their actions, and devise counter-strategies with remarkable speed and precision. It was a state of total enlightenment and empowerment.

After years of dedicated practice and meditation, Arisu Otsutsuki's journey to harness Sage Mode had more or less reached its climax. She stood at the precipice of confronting the Sage of Six Paths, her greatest challenge yet. The Sage Mode she had painstakingly cultivated would be her ultimate weapon, granting her the power and insight necessary to face the ancient legend.
As she opened her eyes, the Rinnegan's iconic pattern appeared, and a calm but resolute expression graced her face. Her journey was about to enter its final chapter, and Arisu Otsutsuki was ready to embrace her destiny as the God of this world.

    -----

With a firm resolve, Arisu performed the necessary hand seals and channeled her chakra into a summoning jutsu. Smoke swirled around her, and a series of loud, resonating chirps filled the air. Moments later, a giant creature appeared before her - a towering centipede-like construct, adorned with various sharpened rods, as well as the same patterned Rinnegan as her own eyes.

The Animal Path was a powerful part of her arsenal, capable of summoning a variety of creatures to aid in combat. As the centipede loomed before Arisu, she couldn't help but be awed by its grotesque yet fascinating appearance.

Arisu's Rinnegan was activated, granting her the ability to peer into the Giant Centipede's chakra network and analyze its capabilities. She observed intricate lines of chakra flowing within the creature, but each of her summons were quite different in capabilities and techniques. Some were far superior to others, each uniquely suited to a very specific task, although none of them were quite strong enough for the task she required them for. At least not on their own, but if she was able to utilize them tactically and bring them around as needed....

The Animal Path could conjure a wide array of creatures, each with unique abilities. Arisu summoned each of the ones she knew and noted the presence of animalistic chakra signatures; those of a dog, panda, rhinoceros, bird, centipede, chameleon, crab, and ox. Each summon possessed specialized skills, from enhanced speed to devastating attacks.

Arisu had long since realized that the Animal Path had complete control over its summoned creatures. With it, she could issue commands with precision, directing them to attack, defend, or perform specific tasks. This level of control made it a formidable opponent in battle.

Arisu also discerned that the Animal Path was linked to the Rinnegan. Perhaps it was because of it that she was able to control them in the first place, but not only was she able to summon them, the Rinnegan bestowed upon it the ability to channel chakra through these creatures, seeing through their own eyes and sharing all of their vision.

She examined each of her summons in turn, committing their abilities to memory so she could best utilize them in combat as needed.

The Bird was the one she was most familiar with, having used it to help her fly towards the 2 Tails. It of course commanded the natural ability of flight, held access to some incredibly fuuton strength, and was versed in its own style of bird taijutsu. She knew that it was capable enough of holding its own against some Bijuu, although by itself it didn't overpower one, although it was capable of creating a Lightning Clone of itself that served to double its effectiveness. The utility and harassment power it offered was incredible.

The Panda was less of an offensive creature, but offered incredibly strong defensive, doton, and medical abilities. It would offer a potent crowd controlling ability as well, and could take a lot of damage before dropping. It would serve well to defend from massive attacks, using its own body as a shield for its allies.

The Multiheaded Dog was one of the more interesting of the summons, able to take a massive amount of damage and continue harassing. Unlike the Panda, it wasn't really a defensive creature though; in fact, the more damage it took, the more of a dangerous threat it was, as it was able to split itself into multiples. Its biting power was purely unparalleled, granting it much strength.

The Chameleon was one of the most powerful of the summons by virtue of its ability to hide its own presence. With that ability, it would be easy enough to attack from almost anywhere with a powerful water technique of its own, or with the power of someone hidden inside it. This was a wonderful combination, especially with Arisu's Path's of Pain, considering she could choose whether they were being controlled or not, and thus whether or not they could be sensed. On top of that, it was capable of sensory itself, and with the shared visual capability of the Rinnegan, it was nigh impossible to hide from it, while also impossible to track it as well.

The Crustacean, much like the Panda, was incredibly defensive in its own abilities, but chose to specialize much more in controlling the environment and flooding the field. It held some offensive capability of its own as well, and was much more of a generalist than a pure tank. Arisu couldn't complain with its abilities, and it may be one of the theoretical stronger of the Animal Path Summons.

The Centipede was a trapper and ambusher, choosing to hide and capture its opponent rather than directly overpower it. The resulting attacks would deal most of the damage, as it was able to coat its body in a flame, and damage anything it touches. Combined with its doton traps and chakra draining abilities, it was very useful in niche circumstances, especially if Arisu wasn't trying to kill her opponent.

The Rhino was a tank, but with a focus on charging down people. It was very offensive focused and hard to stop, but served best in a corridor or as a bulldozer. Changing directions wasn't the best thing, so it was, again, one of the more niche summons. She likely wouldn't use it too often, but there may be circumstances where she would if it served a purpose.

The Ox was the final of the animal summons she had current access to. It was like the Rhino in that it was a charger, but it wasn't quite as durable. Still, it was incredibly fast and could change its charge direction much easier. It was one of the better physical styled animals.

Arisu's power over summons and other beings extended beyond the Animal Path; perhaps her greatest and strongest of them all was the Gedou Mazou. This colossal statue, seemingly composed of stone and wood, held a significant place in her arsenal. It not only allowed her to deal with things like Jinchuuriki, but it was one of her best defensive and offensive creatures, completely at her command. Currently it had consumed the 2 tails, so one of its eyes was opened, but the other 8 remained closed for now. Arisu doubted it would ever come to pass that all 9 would open, or that she'd reform the 10 tails, but even without them, it rivaled the Bijuu in capability alone.

With her Rinnegan activated, Arisu approached the Gedou Mazou, analyzing the intricate chakra patterns embedded within its colossal form. The sheer scale of the statue hinted at its immense power and purpose. Arisu sensed that the Gedou Mazou possessed a gargantuan chakra reserve, dwarfing that of most shinobi. It was a wellspring of energy that could be harnessed for devastating jutsu or otherworldly abilities, but only if she was smart about it. Every technique that she used through the statue drew her own energy instead, so she'd need to tap into its chakra with some other technique if she wanted to make use of it.

It's punching capability rivaled that of even the strongest jutsu, capable of taking down even the toughest beings in only a few solid strikes. That power was surpassed, surprisingly, by its own sheer durability. As far as Arisu was able to tell, it's purely impossible to destroy, and even if it was to take enough damage, it would simply regenerate the damage over time. That was all well and good, but it wasn't even the most fearsome part of the statue.

It held the ability to summon Bijuu binding chains that could instantly lock down and capture bijuu or jinchurriki, and served as a chakra binding thing for anyone else, reducing their capabilities if they touched it. More than that, Arisu herself was able to make use of the chains using her own body as a focal point for their creation. This was one of her stronger jutsu as well, the chains were powerful and durable, as well as fast enough to keep pressure on most.

And perhaps its strongest thing, although one she did not utilize was the Phantom Dragon. Being hit by the Phantom Dragon took ripped out a person's chakra from their body, consuming it and killing them instantly. The difficulty there was that Arisu didn't enjoy killing people, preferring to avoid it, and the dragon moved too slow to hit most people that would pressure her in combat enough to be using that technique. However, it couldn't be understated the danger of that technique.

As Arisu concluded her analysis of the Animal Path and the Gedou Mazou, she couldn't help but feel a mixture of fascination and trepidation. These beings were each individually more powerful than the vast majority of the armies of the world, but would they be enough to help her fight the Sage's avatar? Arisu's resolve to confront the Sage of Six Paths burned brighter than ever. She understood that her journey was not just about physical strength but also about comprehending the depths of her adversaries' abilities and the legacy that carried.

    ---

Arisu had to consider that she also had her Six Paths of Pain to rely on. Of course, they were controlled by her, but when she factored in how many summons she had access to, it meant that she herself was already an army. Each of the paths were as strong as a Jounin on their own merit, and they shared Arisu's pool of chakra and techniques. This meant that everything she was individually capable of was replicated 6 additional times. All of the basic elemental Chakra natures were at her disposal. Even better, they had access to Yomotsu Hirasaka, her Tool Creation technique, and the Repulsion technique, in addition to the Kiri exclusives that Arisu had learned.

She herself was armed with the Kiba Blades and the Demon Bell artifact, granting her access to some additional abilities from the bell and a reduction in her lightning costs from the blades. She held some other impressive weaponry, which was distributed among her Six Paths, Naitome holding the Ersatz Blade's icy reforge, while the rest were kitted out with some of Kirigakure's armory. With her ability to create weaponry on the fly using the Tool Creation technique, Arisu didn't bother making them have any kunai or other weapon set up, just all armored up and a basic weapon each. Ideally she wouldn't need to use them and could preserve her chakra for the summons or the Gedou Statue, but it was nice to have them on standby. Besides that, Arisu could summon them using the Animal Path, and should she really require any true aid, she could call on the support of any number of allies she'd made over the years using the Animal Path as well.

    -----

With the stock of her arsenal taken into consideration, it was time to practice and perfect her usage of each of her abilities, making sure she was at her absolute pinnacle of power. It was mostly just review, but Arisu's exposure to combat had been fairly limited in her time on the world. She'd never really trained very much, much less thought about how she was going to use things in combat against others. So now it was time to actually use them in practice.

Fire. Arisu stood before a roaring inferno, flames dancing at her command. Fire Release was one of the fundamental elemental jutsu, and she aimed to make it her own. With each flicker of her fingers, she manipulated the fire, shaping it into spheres, spirals, and serpentine streams as she flitted through her learned jutsu.

She pushed herself further, challenging the limits of her control. Flames blazed in intricate formations in front of her. Fire became an extension of her will, a weapon that could incinerate her foes or forge her path to greatness. It was a powerful tool in her arsenal, but with her mastery evident, it was time to move on.

Water. A serene lakeside served as the backdrop for Arisu's Water Release training. Her hands moved gracefully, mimicking the fluidity of the element itself. Water jutsu required precision and control, traits Arisu was determined to embody.

Droplets danced around her fingers, forming into blades, serpents, and cascading waves. She held an impressive arsenal of water jutsu given that she was in the Land of Water, hosting some of the most powerful techniques in Suiton that existed. She drew water from the lake, shaping it into an ever-changing canvas of liquid artistry. Through her diligent practice, Arisu harnessed the adaptability of water, ready to extinguish flames or drown her enemies.

Earth. A rocky terrain became Arisu's training ground for Earth Release. She focused on the stability and resilience of this elemental jutsu. With every stomp of her foot, the earth quaked, and massive boulders emerged at her command.

Arisu practiced shaping the landscape, creating walls and barriers, and entombing her 'foes' in earthen prisons. Earth Release provided her with a solid foundation, both in combat and in her journey to confront the Sage of Six Paths. Her determination was as unyielding as the earth beneath her feet.

Wind. Arisu's training shifted to a windswept plateau. Wind Release was an art of subtlety and precision, and she met the challenge with the same poise as she did with suiton. With a flick of her wrists, an exhalation of her breath, blades of compressed air sliced through the air with deadly accuracy.

She honed her Wind Release techniques, creating tempests that could scatter her opponents and gusts of air that carried incredible speed. Arisu knew that Wind Release would be her ticket to countering the swiftness of the Sage of Six Paths, and she trained tirelessly to perfect it.

Lightning. Amidst a stormy night, Arisu trained in Lightning Release. Lightning crackled and surged at her fingertips, a raw and untamed force of nature. She harnessed its power, directing it into precise strikes and bolts of energy. Unlike the rest of her techniques, she was able to utilize this much easier due to the Kiba Blades. Not only did she receive a reduction in cost, but she was able to form these techniques without any hand seals so long as she utilized her blades.

The tempest above mirrored the intensity of her training. Arisu's control over Lightning Release was masterful, and she could now deliver devastating jolts of electricity or move with the speed of lightning itself. It was a power that could pierce through any defense.

The Kiba Blades, iconic weapons of Kirigakure, were a symbol of precision and lethality. Arisu's training montage took her to a secluded dojo where she honed her skills with these formidable blades.

With each swing and strike, she embraced the art of Kenjutsu, Bukijutsu, and Taijutsu, blending her physical prowess with the deadly grace of the Kiba Blades. Arisu learned to anticipate her opponents' movements, striking with finesse and exploiting vulnerabilities.

As Arisu Otsutsuki progressed in her training, she came to the conclusion that true mastery lay not only in the individual elements but in the seamless integration of all her skills. The final chapter of her training saw her combining elemental jutsu with her blade techniques and Taijutsu.

Flames danced around her as she struck with the Kiba Blades, delivering precision strikes while using Earth Release to fortify her defenses. Water Release formed protective barriers and were followed up with counter Wind Release projectiles. Lightning Release enhanced her strikes, making her a blur of lethal strikes.

In this culmination of her training, Arisu became a living tempest of elemental power, ready to confront the Sage of Six Paths. Arisu's training regimen was a testament to her unwavering determination and her commitment to achieving the pinnacle of her abilities. Elemental mastery, combined with the precision of Taijutsu and the lethal grace of the Kiba Blades, would be her arsenal in the battle against the Sage of Six Paths.

    -----

After relentless training, the goddess finally found herself in a moment of respite. The calmness of her surroundings offered a stark contrast to the intensity of her training. She learned that this well-earned relaxation and the significance it held in her journey was something that was just as required as the rest of it.

Arisu had retreated to a hidden oasis deep within the heart of the forest. The peaceful sounds of babbling brooks and the gentle rustling of leaves formed a symphony that enveloped her. It was a place untouched by the chaos of the shinobi world, a sanctuary where she could finally lower her guard.

Nestled beside a serene pond, Arisu reclined on a bed of soft moss, her eyes half-closed as she inhaled the fresh, clean air. It was a moment of solace, a chance to reflect on the arduous path she had trodden and the road that still lay ahead. As she basked in the tranquil ambiance, Arisu felt the weight of her rigorous training slowly lifting from her shoulders. Each element she had mastered, each blade technique she had honed, and every moment of sweat and determination had led to this moment of relaxation.

Her muscles, once tense from the demands of combat training, now melted into the softness of the moss beneath her. It was a feeling of liberation, a release from the constant drive to improve. Arisu's training had forged her into a formidable warrior, but now, she could embrace her more spiritual side.

The oasis was a tapestry of vibrant colors and harmonious sounds. Birds sang melodiously from the branches above, and colorful fish darted playfully in the pond's clear waters. The gentle rustling of leaves and the distant murmur of the waterfall were like a lullaby, soothing Arisu's senses. With her enhanced perception, she could appreciate the subtle nuances of nature even more deeply. Every rustle of a leaf, every ripple on the water's surface, and every gust of wind carried a message of serenity and connection with the world around her.

Arisu's journey had not only been about physical training but also about spiritual growth. In the midst of this idyllic setting, she resumed her meditation, delving into the depths of her consciousness once more. As her chakra flowed in harmony with the surroundings, she reflected on her progress and the challenges ahead. Arisu understood that relaxation was not just about physical rest but also about rejuvenating her spirit.

With a soft smile, Arisu extended her hand over the pond's surface. Her mastery over Water Release allowed her to connect with the element on a profound level. As her chakra flowed, the water responded to her touch, forming delicate patterns and ripples. She watched the water dance at her fingertips, feeling the cool, refreshing embrace of the liquid element. Water Release was not just a tool for combat; it was a source of solace and comfort, a reminder of the delicate balance between power and serenity.

As the day began to wane, Arisu decided to experiment with her Fire Release. She breathed deeply, summoning a small flame into the palm of her hand. It flickered like a miniature sun, casting a warm, comforting glow. Arisu closed her eyes and focused on the flame's gentle warmth. Fire Release was not just a symbol of destruction; it could also represent renewal and transformation. In the midst of nature's tranquility, she found a sense of inner peace, as if the flame in her hand mirrored the strength burning within her soul.

The Kiba Blades, loyal companions through her training, rested beside her. Arisu reached out to touch their cool, polished surfaces. These blades had become an extension of herself, and their presence brought her a sense of security. She unsheathed one of the blades and began to practice fluid, graceful movements, not as part of training but as a form of meditation. The rhythmic sound of steel cutting through the air was like a soothing lullaby, a melody of balance and precision.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting the oasis into twilight, Arisu Otsutsuki found herself at the intersection of relaxation and preparation. Her well-earned respite had rekindled her spirit and revitalized her determination. Finally, Arisu knew that she was ready. Her elemental mastery, blade skills, and moments of tranquil reflection had transformed her into a warrior of balance and strength. She had the tools, the summons, and the support that she required. With the gentle sounds of nature as her backdrop and the Kiba Blades at her side, Arisu's journey continued, guided by the knowledge that relaxation was not a sign of weakness but a testament to her resilience and unwavering commitment to her destiny.

    ----

The wilds of Kirigakure were known for their harsh and unforgiving terrain. It was here, amidst the untamed wilderness, that Arisu Otsutsuki sought the perfect location for her fateful confrontation with the Sage of Six Paths. Her journey had led her to this point, and she could feel the weight of destiny in the air.

As Arisu ventured deeper into the Kirigakure wilds, she felt the primal energy of the land. Tall, dense forests obscured the sky, casting eerie shadows on the forest floor. Mist hung low, veiling the landscape in an ethereal shroud. This untamed environment resonated with Arisu's spirit. It was a place untouched by the hand of civilization, a canvas for their battle that would remain etched in the annals of history. Here, amidst the chaotic beauty of nature, she would confront the Sage of Six Paths.

After hours of exploration, Arisu stumbled upon a sacred clearing deep within the forest. It was as if nature itself had prepared this stage for their impending battle. The clearing was bathed in dappled sunlight, its floor blanketed with soft moss and vibrant wildflowers. A gentle stream meandered nearby, its tranquil waters providing a stark contrast to the looming intensity of their encounter. As Arisu stood at the center of the clearing, she felt a profound connection with the land. It was as if the very earth whispered its approval, acknowledging the importance of this moment. Here, surrounded by the beauty and serenity of the wilderness, Arisu knew she had found the perfect location for their battle.

With her heart brimming with determination, Arisu raised her voice to the heavens, her words echoing through the Kirigakure wilds. She called upon the Sage of Six Paths, her voice carrying the weight of her resolve.

"Sage of Six Paths," she declared, her words resolute and unwavering, "It is time."

Arisu's call echoed through the forest, a declaration of her readiness to confront the legendary Sage. She knew that this battle would be a test of not only her strength but also her conviction and purpose. The fate of the shinobi world hung in the balance, and Arisu Otsutsuki was prepared to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

As Arisu's call faded into the wilderness, the anticipation of their battle hung in the air. The sacred clearing in Kirigakure's wilds stood as a testament to their impending clash, a stage where the destinies of two warriors would intertwine.

The Sage of Six Paths had been summoned, and the battle of destiny was about to commence. It would be a confrontation of unparalleled magnitude, a clash that would echo through the ages and shape the future of the shinobi world. Arisu Otsutsuki had found her battleground, and destiny awaited her call.

His spirit manifested in the form of the avatar that she was to fight, and they readied to begin.

    91+65= 156, Success!

Arisu's fight against the avatar went extremely well for her. Almost immediately she took the initiative, pressing it and never letting up. The fight was one sided, she didn't let him get in any sort of momentum built up, taking the offensive like she'd never done before.

Almost from the onset, the Avatar was put on the back foot by her ferocity, a swirling dervish of blades and elemental energy. She didn't even end up needing any of her summons or Rinnegan abilities, she was capable enough on her own. (With a 91 roll, her X class bonus was all she needed to win outright, nothing else even factors in) It was obvious that Arisu had over prepared.

With the Sage on a backfoot, Arisu's blade found itself an inch from the Avatar's throat. She didn't kill him as it was evident that she was superior in this fight. Perhaps if he had been in his prime he might have put up more of a fight, but she was far stronger than the shadow of his remaining chakra.

The Sage held up his hands to signify his surrender, and clapped them together. A flash of his chakra enveloped his hands and he brought them up to Arisu's head, launching the chakra into Arisu. She felt it surge through her, and the Sage disappeared with a smile. He was unable to stick around here any further, and he was unlocking part of her potential by imbuing her with his own chakra. It resonated with her, unlocking what was already there.

Perfect. She felt new depths of power at her finger tips.
