Welcome to the Shinobi Marketplace! Here you will find all of the goodies you'll need from shinobi tools, to simple weapons and armor, and to crafting materials! These Marketplaces remain the same in each shinobi village (aside from Village Specific Items).
How to Purchase Items
To purchase items, post a roleplay in your village's (or the village you are visiting's) shopping district. In the topic, post a list of the items you wish to buy with the itemized prices. This can be a single post topic (remember to leave afterwards!). These items and the EXP from the post can be claimed in your Character Update.
Item Rank/Grade/Hardness
Unless stated otherwise, all items will be of C-Grade. Being of C-Rank Quality and Hardness.
Village Exclusive Items
You are required to get the approval (IC) from the village's Kage/Jonin Commander in order to purchase these items if you are a foreign shinobi visiting the village. If you are a native to the village then you have full access to these items.
Konohagakure Exclusive

Item Description: This specially designed mask can be attached to any helmet-like armor or worn on it's own. Designed by a Kirigakure loyalist, the mask allows the Shinobi of the village to survive in environments that others couldn't.

Item Description: A Pair of uniquely designed gauntlets cover the hand and most of the forearm of the wearer, small engineered speakers are built into them. Application of a chakra to these guantlets allow the user to use the speakers offensively or defensively.

Item Description: A unique metal found within the Land of Earth, the first Tsuchikage built Iwagakure on top of the first mine discovered. Its use helped secure the first Tsuchikage's reign, and the walls of the village were laced with this metal to help in the village's defense.
Item Effect: [Hardness: B] A unique metal, when forged, allows the item to drain 5 points of Chakra upon contact with an opponent. This is not absorption, no matter the amount of metal used in the forging process of an item, this drain cannot exceed 5 points per strike. |
Eye Scope

Item Description: A strange contraption that fits over a single eye that a user can change the telescopic zoom of the object. Not very stylish, but it's pretty useful none-the-less

Item Type: Sunagakure Exclusive Crafting Material
Item Description: This specially weaved cloth can only be found within the desert of the land of Wind, the secrets of its design a closely guarded secret passed down within the tailors of the land. Most armor within Sunagakure is made with this material as it keeps the wearer cool no matter the heat of the environment.
Item Effect: [Hardness: B] This Unique Cloth is forged, the armor used in its creation reduces the damage from Katon techniques used against them by 1-Rank. This reduction stacks with other reductions that may be present such as a clan's natural resistance to Katon, etc. |
Giant Tessen
Price: 10,000 Ryo
Item Type: Bukijutsu Weapon
Item Description: Large, folding fan made of metal and heat-resistant cloth that helps Sunagakure Shinobi channel Wind Release techniques as well as defend against Katon techniques. Due to its large size, the wielder of the Tessen is capable of using it as a shield to protect them from attacks.
Item Effect: [Hardness/Grade: B] Allows the user to cast Wind Techniques through the weapon without the need of handseals. Requires at least C Rank Strength to wield this weapon as this is considered a heavy weapon. |
Black Market
The Black Market is available to those that have the Squalid, Poor, and/or Wretched Lifestyles within a village that does not have a Police Station. This is also available to Missing Nin and Wanderers (read the Crime Rules for more details).
Items available can be purchased on the Black Market for 2x the price. However, the Black Market also has other items available to them -- These items are AT COST.
Weapons
In order to gain a weapon from the Shinobi Shop, you are required to make one. Follow the Crafting Guidelines when creating your weapon. These weapons do not offer any special benefits nor stat-boosts of any kind. May not make Engineering Weapons.

Requirement: Become a Genin in your village
Item Type: Armor
Item Description: A headband with a metal plate bearing the emblem of your village. Generally scratched out by Missing Nin to show their disloyalty to their village. The user may place this headband anywhere from the forehead to shoulder to even around the waist.
Item Effect: Wherever it's placed is up to the user. Protects the area with C Rank Hardness. All you have to do to get this is claim it. You only get one. Only the Kage and Jonin Commander may gain more for the sake of handing them out themselves if they wish. |
Chuunin Village Flak Vest
Requirement: Become a Chuunin in your Village
Item Type: Body Armor
Item Description: A flak vest in the style of your village. Covers the chest, back, torso, and shoulders. The armor has metal plates to protect the user.
Item Effect: Protects the body, not arms, for B Rank Hardness. The user also gains 4 pockets capable of holding small items such as kunai, shurikens, etc. |
ANBU Mask
Requirement: Become an ANBU
Item Type: Face Mask
Item Description: A blank mask given to the ANBU to decorate as they wish. This is a staple to ANBU to keep their identities hidden.
Item Effect: A mask that covers the identity of those behind the mask. Any achievements gained by the ANBU member wearing the mask will gain renown to their ANBU Persona rather than themselves. The hiding of the ANBU's identity is merely visual. Protects the body for B Rank Hardness. |
ANBU Armor
Requirement: Become an ANBU
Item Type: Body Armor
Item Description: Consisting of a Flak Vest (in the style of their village), arm guards and shin guards.
Item Effect: Protects the affected areas for B Rank Hardness |
Kage Hat

Item Description: A white conical hat with the name of your country emblazoned upon the front of the hat.

Target will maintain the speed penalty as long as they have even 1 Caltrop in their foot. Armor of B Rank and higher that covers the bottom of the feet will ignore this effect |

Item Description: A backpack that is carried over the shoulder. Can be either a single shoulder backpack or a double shoulder backpack.

Weapon Sealing Scroll

Item Type: Sealing Weapon Storage
Item Description: Weapons can either be unsealed individually and appear in the user's hand(s) or the user may use this to launch weapons at a target. This will launch at either C Rank Speed up to 50 meters when using the Unseal Technique or can be launched at the speed and range of specific techniques used to weaponize these scrolls.
- Small Weapon Sealing Scroll:
A small hand-sided scroll about 6 inches wide. The scroll can unfurl to about 10 feet in length. This scroll is completely blank and has a spot on the end where one can mark the scroll. - Large Sealing Scroll:
A much larger variant of the Small Sealing Scroll that is about 12 inches wide. The scroll can unfurl to about 30 feet in length. This scroll is completely blank and has a spot on the end where one can mark the scroll.
Item Effect: The user is required to have Fuuinjutsu in order to seal items into the scroll. The user is required to use the Non-Elemental Ninjutsu "Unsealing" in order to remove an item from the scroll. The user without Fuuinjutsu will not know the contents of the scroll whereas the user of Fuuinjutsu can know the contents of the scroll upon feeling it. - Small Sealing Scroll: Can hold up to 5 weapons within the scroll or up to 10 square feet of items within the scroll.
- Large Sealing Scroll: Can hold up to 10 weapons within the scroll or up to 30 square feet of items within the scroll.

Item Description: A large gourd strapped to the user's back.
Item Effect: Requires at least C Strength to wield. Can carry a large amount of sand, shaved metal particles, and water within. 3 Particles will be enough to fill this entire Gourd full of Metal Particles. |

Item Description: A tag, approximately 4 inches wide and 8 inches long, an explosive seal is placed upon the Explosive Tag. This item can be stuck onto a target, exploded remotely (by using the Seal of Confrontation), or set on a timer.
Item Effect: When exploded, will explode in a 5 meter radius explosion dealing C Rank Non-Elemental Damage. |
Flint Fragment

Item Type: Explosive Catalyst
Item Description: A small piece of flint that can be held in the hand and struck against steel or held in the mouth. This creates a spark and can be used to ignite explosives.
Item Effect: Can ignite explosives. |
Flash Bomb
Price: 1500 Ryo each
Item Type: Explosive
Item Description: A small ball of paper, approximately the size of a baseball, with flash powder held within. The user is required to ignite the fuse. This fuse has a 5 second fuse (can be set to shorter by cutting the wick). When it explodes, it creates a quick flash of extremely bright light capable of blinding foes.
Item Effect: Explodes in a 5 meter radius ball of light. All within the ball of light (or all within 10 meters that look at the ball of light) will suffer from blindness for 2 posts. The targets will suffer from (--) Perception for that duration. |
Smoke Bomb
Price: 1500 Ryo each
Item Type: Explosive
Item Description: A small ball of paper the size of a golf-ball with a wick upon it. The user is required to ignite the fuse. This fuse will instantly start bellowing smoke. This fuse has a 5 second fuse (can be set shorter by cutting the wick). When it explodes, it instantly covers an area with smoke.
Item Effect: Explodes in a 15 meter radius ball of thick smoke. Unless the target has the ability to see through smoke, targeting anyone becomes extremely difficult. This can also conceal everyone's actions, giving nobody the ability to see what's going on through the smoke. Any wind-based techniques or anything that applies pressure is capable of blowing away the smoke. |
Chili Pepper Bomb

Item Type: Explosive
Item Description: A small ball of paper the size of a golf-ball with a wick upon it. The user is required to ignite the fuse. This fuse has a 5 second fuse (can be set shorter by cutting the wick). When it explodes, it instantly covers an area with thick pepper.
Item Effect: Explodes in a 5 meter radius ball of pepper. This will deal D Rank damage to everyone within range of the explosion due to the pepper burning. This will burn your eyes on contact, causing the user to tear up. This will also burn when you breath and cause the user to choke. This will also remove all bonus Perception gained by enhanced Smell. |
Nail Bomb

Item Type: Black Market Explosive
Item Description: A soft-ball sized black bomb made entirely of clay. Shaking it around, the user can hear nails and other bits of fragmentation rolling around in the ceramic pot. Requires the user to ignite the fuse to use. This has a 5 second fuse (can be set shorter by cutting the wick). When it explodes, it explodes and throws shrapnel all over the place.
Item Effect: May only be bought via the Black Market. Upon exploding, it explodes in a 15 meter radius, dealing C Rank piercing damage to everyone in the area. Deals B Rank damage to anyone at the point-blank range. |

Item Description: A strange rainbow-colored tonic that comes in a clear body with a logo of the galaxy upon it. This tonic is very fizzy and tastes a bit like soda.
Item Effect: Allows you to do a Character Reset. This may not be traded nor resold. May only have 1 of these in your inventory at a time. Once you use a Reset Tonic, it will have a 180 day cooldown between use. |
Blood Increasing Pills
Price: 15,000 Ryo for a pack of 5
Item Type: Medicine
Item Description: A small marble-sized black orb that can be eaten that speed up the formation of red bloodcells, increasing the flow of blood. Generally used upon losing a large amount of blood in their body.
Item Effect: Restores up to 2 pints of blood lost from the user's body. Instantly kicks in and has a 10 post cooldown |
Coagulation Pills
Price: 15,000 Ryo for a pack of 5
Item Type: Medicine
Item Description: Appearing similar to the Blood Increasing Pills, this pill appears more deep red than black. This is used to increase the coagulation of blood.
Item Effect: Takes 1 post to activate. Completely stops current bleeding. May only be used once per thread. |
Military Ration Pill
Price: 1,000 Ryo for a pack of 6
Item Type: Medicine
Item Description: Appears just like Coagulation Pills (so don't confuse the two). Made of powerful stimulants and nutrients that can act as a meal replacement -- especially on travel.
Item Effect: The user can go three days and three nights without sleeping. This will also immediately replenish 10 CP per pill consumed. May consume up to 3 per thread. |
Poisons

Item Type: Black Market Poison
Item Description: Also known as "numbing poison". A green poison that that smells like rotten flesh. As the poison enters the bloodstream, the target will start to feel numb.
Item Effect: Injury Type Poison. This is a C Rank Poison. Decreases the target's Coordination by (-1 Tier) and Speed by (-). Has a 3 Post Countdown before it activates. Lasts for 6 Posts. |
Corpse Rot
Price: - Lesser Corpse Rot: 20,000 Ryo per use
- Greater Corpse Rot: 35,000 Ryo per use
Item Type: Black Market Poison
Item Description: A thick black poison that seems to be more of a jelly than a liquid. This poison seems to appear to 'boil' when exposed to air. When sealed into an air-tight container, it doesn't appear to boil.
Item Effect: Injury Type Poison. The user must select which one they want to buy when making the purchase.- Lesser Corpse Rot: This is a C Rank Poison. Decreases the target's Chakra by 15 CP. Has a 3 Post Countdown before the poison activates. Once poison activates, the target will lose CP.
- Greater Corpse Rot: This is a B Rank Poison. Decreases the target's Charka by 25 CP. Has a 4 Post Countdown before the poison activates. Once poison activates, the target will lose CP

Item Description: A rolled up blunt of marijuana. Has an acquired scent once ignited. May turn your eyes bloodshot red.
Item Effect: Increases the user's Intelligence by (++) and decreases our Perception by (-). If the blunt gets wet, they cannot ignite. Has a 2 Post Countdown -- Lasts for 4 Posts with a 4 Post Cooldown. |
Contraptions
These are engineering items that use moving parts and simple mechanisms. These items do not require Attunement in order to use.

Wrist Mounted Senbon Launcher

Item Type: Contraption
Item Description: A launcher in the form of 5 tubes strapped to the user's forearm. Each tube has a pull-string that uses a spring to launch senbon at the opponent. Senbon can be coated in Injury-Type Poison.
Item Effect: Can launch up to 5 pre-loaded Senbon by pulling the string and releasing the string. This will launch the senbon at C++ Speed up to 50m accurately. |
Hidden Kunai Mechanism
Price: 2500 Ryo each
Item Type: Contraption
Item Description: A spring-loaded mechanism that holds a kunai upon the user's forearm.
Item Effect: This will push the kunai up the user's sleeve and into their hand instantly. May have one in each arm to quickly equip a kunai. |
Wireless Radio
Price: 10,000 Ryo each
Item Type: Contraption
Item Description: Strapped around the user's throat and has an earpiece in one of the user's ears. This acts as a wireless walky-talky that allows people to tune into a frequency. While on the same frequency, the user may speak to others with Wireless Radios.
Item Effect: The user is capable of communicating to others wearing a Wireless Radio, keyed into the same frequency, within 5km of one another. |

When creating crafts, the user must establish what each generic item is in the description of the item being crafted. These materials can be up to the crafter as metal, cloth, leather, etc etc. |

Item Description: Several different sized glass containers that comes with a cork. Used for storing chemistry items such as poisons, medicines, and compounds (or other things chemistry is capable of creating that's in the form of a liquid or a powder).

Item Effect: These items aren't required if the user has enough Intelligence to be able to create their own seals without the need for ink. For those without enough Intelligence, they'll require this Ink Pot.- Small Ink Pot: Equivalent of 25mL. Can write up to 1 Large Scroll, 2 Medium Scrolls, 4 Small Scrolls, or 8 Tags
- Medium Ink Pot: Equivalent of 50 mL. Enough to write 2 Large Scrolls, 4 Medium Scrolls, 8 Small Scrolls, or 16 Tags.

Item Type: Sealing Equipment
Item Description: Ranging from a blank tag the size of an Explosive Tag to a long, long scroll. These are what most people would write seals upon or use to seal items within.
Item Effect: Cannot be used in an offensive way like Weapon Scrolls can. These are more for general purpose sealing or storage. - Blank Tag: Primarily used for Explosive Tags or Flying Thunder God Tags. May be used for other tags depending on the Enchanter/Sealer. Can hold 1 Fuuinjutsu Seal.
- Blank Small Scroll: Can be used to create 10 Tags when cut up. Can hold up to 10 cubic meters of inventory when sealed into the scroll. Can hold up to 2 Fuuinjutsu Seals on the same scroll (May use any of the 2 Fuuinjutsu Seals on the scroll)
