That strange haze still hung over him, but he sensed no one currently sensing him all the same. He would like to have prepared more, but time waited for no one. He wore all of his things, though some of dubious presence considering his nature and composition. But no matter, enough for now, all the same. It really was far too bad that he did not have the ability to use water techniques, as they might be quite valuable, considering his homeland, but alas. Maybe in a future timeline. Of course, rumors abounded of various thefts as of late, and strange sightings were everywhere; the current calamity was, thus, something more to be expected than a true surprise, though the exact nature would have been difficult to predict. Regardless, something was certainly off about the whole attack, but Hisha had... not been consulted.

A vault guard and a simple compulsion revealed the location, commanded him to go to the eastern gate to help the defense, and erased his memories of such an interaction quite easily. It was merely a short jaunt away, a merging with the wall, and a quick swim to the vault itself. Luckily, no one was stationed inside which seemed... foolish. Not that it mattered much in the end. He did not specifically need anything here, though he had a few wants. And with his recent scouting, he had some further ideas. Mostly, though, he needed the ability to hide more effectively; if the village should fall, he'd want some... insurance. Of course, he would periodically check up on things with Adzuku, far above, before swimming out, never fully unmerging. Really a reading trip, more than anything, but these stones, those would help immensely.
