Character Appearance: Standing at 5'4" tall, Aika has long straight black hair that reaches all the way down to her lower back. She also has piercing green eyes that is contrasted well against her black hair. She has pale skin with a near perfect complexion. She has an athletic build with a pretty size-able chest. She is normally seen wearing shrine-maiden attire and will always have her trusty blade at her side.
Character Personality: Generally kind-hearted. She isn't really one for violence unless the need arises for it. Even with her dislike for violence, she was particularly good it, spending a lot of time training in the training grounds. When she isn't busy training, she could be seen tending to local shrines as the cute shrine-maiden that everyone likes to talk to. Not only is she easy on the eyes, which she was well aware of, she doesn't let her exterior beauty outshine her inner beauty. She does, very much, have a 'girlfriend' attitude where she is the kind of woman you'd take home to meet your parents.
However, she gets really lonely really fast and can sometimes be quite the shut-in. She's also a closet pervert, finding guys of all walks of life to be 'hot' and is extremely boy-crazy. She doesn't find obsession with them, but she also fawns for them when she gets the chance. She's also very naive, still a virgin and certainly acts like one. While she is kind and sweet, she can also have kind of a mean-streak if she's pushed too far or annoyed enough. She won't yell nor raise her voice, but she will have a firm mannerism and will drop the kind and cutesie act in place of someone who doesn't really want to be messed with.
But she's also extremely gullible and extremely trusting mainly due to being of moderate intelligence. She doesn't have a fixation that people are against her, generally leading her into more trouble than she'd like. She's probably bound to be betrayed and killed because the world is filled with assholes and scumbags.
Character History: Aika was abandoned as a child and was raised by an adopted pair that run the local shrine. The fact that she was adopted and abandoned wasn't hidden from here and she was told, by the time she turned 8 years old, of this abandonment. However, she didn't let this deter her from living with the elderly couple and loving them like her parents. She didn't care to know who her birth parents are -- they abandoned her so why would she be curious?
But the moment she reached puberty, things started to happen with Aika. Her eyes have changed, having been born with a dull brown set of eyes; the awakening of the Denrankyugan changed her eyes green. A painful experience that she would rather not repeat. At about the same time was when she had split her soul into two with the other half of her sword taking on the form of a sword. Beowulf, he called himself. Interesting. The fact that her soul would call itself Beowulf. It kept her company but she desired more.
Her days were fairly simple, train with Beowulf, tend to the shrine, go to the academy. Train with Beowulf, tend to the shrine, become a genin. Train with Beowulf, tend to the shrine, become a chuunin. Train with Beowulf, tend to the shrine, become a jonin. Train with Beowulf, do missions, do more missions, and do more missions. Her life was simple but she enjoyed it. Maintaining a routine helped her stay sane in the complex world and maintaining a routine she did.
Once she turned 16, her adopted parents, the elderly couple died at the same time. While it warmed her heart that the two died in each other's arms with a content look on their face, it just left Aika empty. She was left with training with Beowulf, maintaining the shrine, and being a shinobi. She had dealt with her share of suitors, while they drove her wild, she still ultimately broke it off with many of them. She wasn't ready to settle down and start a family while she had to train with Beowulf, tend to the shrine, and be a shinobi. All she had left of her adoptive parents was the shrine so she felt attached to it.
