Turning up the Heat

Son'Rei would step out onto the newly rebuilt Sand Forge, he had trained in the area before the destruction, but it was completely different now. Everything looked new, as though it had not been used since its recreation. This saddened him, yet at the same time made him happy. He would be the first to train in this new ground, and he would not be bothered by others which was always a good thing in his mind. Son'Rei was not the socialist that most people were, he preferred his solitude. It gave him time to think, and time to train. His preparation for the Chuunin Exams would take him through the basics that he already knew but at the same time gave him the chance to ensure that he would not forget them when he was out there fighting. He decided to start with a technique that all Fujio learned growing up, one that was used to help train the Fujio in learning to mix their elemental natures. There were two of them in fact, but the first one he would test out would be the Kindling Technique. A simple technique that he would be able to use with any fuuton technique to grant the wind a burning touch, forming the Ram hand seal for the divine wind technique, Son'Rei would add the Tiger hand seal after and produce four small flaming tornadoes in front of himself.

'Bunny Arrival' :

Letting the flaming tornadoes die down, Son'Rei would step through the sand forge and near a training dummy on the far side of the training area. While he didn't need the training dummy in order to train the next technique, he was curious as to the damage the technique would cause. Like with the Kindling technique, this was another that was taught to you Fujio members for learning to mix their elements. The exact polar opposite of the first technique, this one was designed to mix with a Katon technique and intensify the damage the fire would cause by fanning the flames so to speak. It was amply named Intensify, and it stayed true to its name. He would consider which Katon technique to use in conjunction with it for a moment before finally settling on the great fireball technique, forming the string of hand seals for the great fireball technique, Son'Rei would add the bird hand seal to the end of the string unleashing a fireball that was surprisingly greater than any other great fireball technique. The flames from the fireball would reduce the training dummy to ashes, thanks to the fuuton chakra he had mixed into it, the dummy never stood a chance.

Now that the two simpler techniques were out of the way, Son'Rei would move on to the next technique on his list to train. It was one that few of the Fujio used, mostly due to the fact that the more powerful scorch release techniques that they held in their arsenal dealt far greater damage, but still one that was important for him to make sure he could use properly. He wasn't sure what he would face in the chuunin exams, so he had to ensure he was prepared for as many scenarios as possible. This one in particular would be useful if someone tried to fight him at close range or tried to grapple him, but beyond that it would not have much use in a fight, especially if he was able to keep his opponent at a distance like he wanted. Forming the Ox hand seal, Son'Rei would amplify his body's natural heat to the point where steam seemed to be rising from his skin, while it would not affect him in anyway, those that would try to touch him while he had it active would suffer from burns and any flammable material that they might try to restrain him with would be set alight as well.

The next technique was less of a fujio technique and more of a personal nature for Son'Rei, while almost any of the clan could use the other three techniques, this one was unique to him or at least it was as far as his clan. He had seen the technique performed by few others but was able to inquire enough knowledge about it that he would be able to pull it off, or at least he hoped that he would. Son'Rei would let out a slow breath as he recalled what it was that he had been shown, forming a string of five hand seals, Son'Rei would create a ring of fire in the air that he would send forward. Controlling it with his chakra as he watched it fly through the air before flinging it towards one of the training dummies, while it was effective it was not nearly as effective as he would have liked. Son'Rei would form the string of hand seals once more only this time he would add the bird hand seal to the end of the string. Adding the intensify technique to empower the burning halo so that it would deal more damage, Son'Rei will fling the ring of fire at another training dummy watching it explode in a much more brillant explosion than before.

Now that most of the simpler techniques were out of the way, Son'Rei would move on to the last of the katon techniques that he would be training, at least for today. He would form a string of three hand seals before exhaling a breath of pure fire from his mouth, stronger than the great fireball technique but not as large. It required the target to be closer to be affected by the flames, but was something that he could work with. Ending the technique, Son'Rei would form the string of hand seals again this time adding the bird hand seal to it as he had done with the other techniques. The flames of the technique would burn even hotter than they had the first time, as they reduced the two training dummies in front of him to ashes. Son'Rei would smile before repeating the process once more while facing three more dummies.
