    Unique Abilities:
Inventive: Akemi, lacking the natural abilities of many, instead comes up with his own abilities. Unique ability halves the word count needed for learning custom techs, but doubles the word count for learning normal techniques.

Appearance: Standing at only four feet, and weighing barely fifty five pounds, Akemi is anything but intimidating or impressive. His eyes are an emerald green and often dart hither and thither taking in as much of his surroundings as he can. Akemi’s hair is black, shoulder length and tends to remain combed off to his right side, with a single bang that drops down between his eyes that he often has to brush away. He has a very light complexion with only the faintest signs of a tan appearing anywhere on his body, and no blemishes to be seen.

His attire is rather plain as well; typically he wears a white shirt, or a blue one on some days. Typically he wears a pair of loose-legged pants, though during hot days he tends to wear shorts. Akemi tends to wear short socks, as well as a pair of boots and a pair of gloves on both hands.

History: Akemi Nakamura was born to a librarian and Kunoichi of the Kirigakure no Sato, or the Village Hidden in the Mist. It was an occasion marked with little circumstance as both parents were not of a very high rank in the Kirigakure nor were they in a special clan of their own. He screamed little, cried little and was as happy a boy as he could possibly be. His mother earned more than enough money to keep them all in a home and with enough food.

As he grew, his mother and father tried to give him as normal a life as possible, his father read to him all the time and made sure that he read as well. His mother began training him from an early age trying to show him the advantages of taijutsu, and ninjutsu especially. His days were spent studying, reading and training. Whatever time he had after these three things was spent amongst what few friends he had.

It wasn’t long after he had turned four that he learned of what his mother’s job was, what it entailed and decided that it was amazingly cool. During one of her trips he began asking his father as many questions as he could, though being only four these questions were limited to what it is that she did and why she did it. His father wasn’t entirely certain that he wanted his son to follow in the same footsteps as his wife; the work of a ninja was rather difficult after all. But once he and his wife had discussed it some, her husband eventually relented and agreed to allow their son to do whatever it is that he wanted with his life.

With this potential roadblock out of his way, he began to train and study more but didn’t neglect his friends and playtime. They played harder than they ever had before, the majority of them having long since decided that they were going to become ninja, with a few exceptions. As the time to enroll in the academy approached, their games switched to punching and kicking each other in preparation and excitement.

It was nearly time to enter the academy and he was extremely nervous; after all what would he do if he failed? He began to panic, hyper ventilating ever so slightly as his first day approached. His mother took him out to the meadow where they always used to train and told him that it was time for him to impress her. He moved and watched and punched and kicked, all in the attempt to prove himself to his mother. She was far too strong, and he knew that, but he couldn’t simply give up, could he?! No. He couldn’t give up, not at this point, he had to keep going! He rushed at her, punch ready for her stomach and knee ready for her chin, but when he neared her she simply twisted a bit to the left, kneed him in the stomach and roundhouse kicked him away. She explained that he wasn’t quite good enough for that yet, but that if he kept going, then he’d be just fine and then gave him a smile before saying that he had to go back cuz it was almost time to go to the academy. He smiled, nodded and ran off to get his things. It was going to be an interesting day.

Personality: Akemi is a very curious individual, constantly wanting to know the whys of jutsus, the transpiring of events and of how certain places came to be. This drives him to study all that he can, though it does lead him to be somewhat scatter-brained often talking to himself or losing himself in one odd thought or another. He’s extremely studious as well, constantly reading and trying out new jutsu whenever he can, though this gets him into trouble when he doesn’t pay attention to the world around him. Unfortunately, he’s stupidly romantic, often going out of his way to “set people up” as it were. This leads to an almost calculating nature, as he observes people’s habits, movements and interactions often causing people to think him odd.

When interacting with others, Akemi does his best to be cheerful, friendly and genial. Though more often he comes across as awkward or people thinking him insincere or foolish. He doesn’t have much self-esteem, causing him to second guess himself, his actions and his judgements. His interactions with his peers tends to be a bit better than interactions with his superiors, with his peers at least, he feels like he can be himself. With his superiors he does not feel like he has this same freedom, constantly and consistently putting on airs in some vain attempt to impress them. This is still the case with his peers, of course, only not as bad. He does his best to make friends by bringing snacks and assisting others with their own studies and training.
