Meeting up with Sensei Five.

Emiki strolled into the Marketplace with a drawing in her left hand, a concept art design for armor that would survive the unnatural speed of which she ran and more often than not ran into things. She had heard rumors of a Tengu that could craft amazing wares, and more importantly didn't know of Emiki's reputation amongst the Smith's in Kiri.  Most of whom refused to do service with her after all the things of there's she broke do to them not being able to withstand insane levels of force they would be subjected too.

But that was neither here  nor there, at least not yet. First things first she needed Ryo for which to by her armor, and the rest to spend on a weapon that would hopefully last a few missions before breaking from the strain.

If they did? Well thankfully a single mission paid as much as Five was paying her and would allow a temporary restock before those broke as well.

As she spotted Five she reached into her sports bra and withdrew a paper. If he read it, it would say,

As promised I shall trade Knowledge for Ryo, so for the sake of fairness.

Kit, Kat, and I went to The HIVE an exclusive school for Ninja. One of the things they taught us was our duty to destroy The Enlightened Society for Rebirth and Reorder a secret society of terrorists whom seek to bring about the end of the world by resurrecting the 10 tails, and reshape the world in their image.

They are skilled infiltrators, saboteurs, and criminals of the highest order. Yet, most are unaware of their existence, or complacent to their wrong doings.

They are the greatest threat the world has ever seen and exists within it's shadows.

"Sensei, it's your pleasure to see me. Emiki hopes you did not wait for long. Emiki knows how annoying waiting is. She hates waiting on others or having others wait for her."

Five had actually decided to dress nice for the day. He had done his eye liner and painted on the blue tear under his left eye and the purple heart under his right. Black slacks were pressed and black dress shoes shined. His shirt was actually tucked in. Silver in color behind a grey vest. A black tie was over that. Tucked under the vest but carefully lined up with the buttons on the shirt. Two small golden earrings dotted his right ear and his hair was slicked back with hair product to keep it in place. He chose a black long coat to put on over it all and hung a golden colored scarf around his neck loosely. Not wrapped around it but hanging there. He tucked a trench knife into his right inner breast pocket and his wallet into his left. With that done he would check himself in the full length mirror and admire his appearance. Oh he looked delightful. He would smile to himself before stepping out the room and shortly after out the front door to catch a carriage into town. Emiki was likely faster than the carriage by far but he would arrive before the allotted time anyway.

He arrived with some time to spare and even ordered two lemonades at a stand before he heard the heavy steps of the girl approaching him. She could step lightly he had seen as much but if she wasn't trying to, well, she was a very abrupt child. Hopefully no one would mistake her for his daughter. The first thing she did though was hand him a folded slip of paper. He would hand her a lemonade in turn as he opened it to read its contents. His eye brow raising in surprise. He hadn't expected such valuable intel from her so early in the game. How worth the ten thousand ryo this already was. Two groups he hadn't previously known of and now he knew of their agendas. He would reread it carefully before tucking the note in with the trench knife. He would need a fairly hidden room for this intel as he gathered it. Still he would smile to the girl and shake his head no. Speaking in that silky voice that was like a lullaby before taking another sip of his drink.

"No no my dear not at all. In fact I only just recently arrived before you. Tell me, have you made up your mind on what you will be spending your ten thousand on?'

As Five handed her the lemonade Emiki gave as squee of joy as she took it and sipped it happily, after taking a fair sized draught she sang, "Oh su~gar! Su~gar! I ruv you! And your sweet le~mon~y goodness! Yes I do!" Before going back to sipping it. She barely noticed the riot of colors her Sensei was wearing, but she did notice the design on his face, "Emiki thinks those pictures on your face look cute. You should do cute things on your face more often."

Emiki would go back to humming her love ballad for sweets as he looked over her writing before he spoke up letting her know she thankfully hadn't made him wait, and wanted to know of her plans for the Ryo. She would show him her picture with her elegant hand writing annotating various things in the concept image. "First Emiki will stop by a rumored Tengu who set up shop in the village who can craft amazing things. Once Emiki finds out how much this will cost Emiki. She will buy it, to protect her for when she is moving at dangerously high speeds and as a backup weapon.

"Once Emiki has that the rest will go towards a temporary sword. Maybe a Tanto until Emiki is able to buy herself another sword. They never seem to be able to withstand her pace of speed while fighting. They always end up warping and shattering ... Possibly because Emiki is too fast for weak weapons."

Nodding to herself as if that, and not her lack of proper swordsmanship was the reason her weapons had a tendency to break from her 'style' of fighting. Said style being running into things at high speeds, or hitting things while running really fast into the target.

Five would slowly nod as the girl hummed and spoke almost in unison. Perhaps sugar had been a poor choice but it was his favorite drink. He hadn't really considered the ramifications of handing the hyper speed addict sugar. He knew almost immediately he had screwed up. Still he would adjust his coat and turn to continue walking. Allowing her to mostly lead the way where they were going without having to tell her to do so. Still he had recently done some shopping of his own and her shopping list sounded well below the market value. He would frown a little and wondered if he had accidentally ripped himself off. Perhaps while they were here he would purchase the highest tier weapon he could. Still this was his student now and she was already proving her worth to him. He found most of the population to be worth little more than a reason for people like him to get paid. Dangerous people needed to be eliminated and so long as he was the one doing the eliminating he would be one of the dangerous people left to his own devices. Still he would voice his concerns to her as he walked.

"That all sound's expensive. Are you certain that ten thousand will cover it? If not, you could always take a loan from me. Owe me with a slight interest. Oh and afterwards lets get some barbecue. I am in the mood for some teriyaki today."

He would almost purr as they walked at the thought. How long had it been since he tasted succulent meat? oh god if this girl was a vegetarian he was going to be disappointed. No more sugar daddy for her until she downed some meat. He grimaced as that gave his dirty mind a mental image he didn't actually want. He wasn't attracted to her after all. Still he kept his eye out for anything unique for a top tier weapon. A last ditch effort perhaps for some situation where anything less simply wouldn't do. He was sure he would need it eventually and he didn't want to be caught unprepared. He would sigh as everything they walked passed had little to nothing to offer. Making sure to follow her at a walking pace. Making her slow it down and stay near him if she wanted this badly enough. Just another lesson in patience.

Hearing about meat for lunch on someone else's coin Emiki gave a joyous laugh before looking at Five with a serious expression, "Are you sure Sensei? Emiki wouldn't want to bankrupt you for feeding her, especially if free meat is being offered. Emiki's been known to do that to a few people she's hustled to owe her a meal. Sadly it's hard to find any one in Kiri that can drop 20k on a meal when they think there's no way Emiki can eat double her bodyweight in food. Don't ask where Emiki keeps it. It's a secret.

"As for gear. Custom orders are usually very cheap, and better quality than the shops gear, but so few exist now and days, and fewer do business with the ninja that habitually shatters their gear due to excessive force. Still 10k should get me custom armor and a store bought Tanto at the very least, and 2 missions from now, Emiki can buy a good weapon."

With that she'd go on towards the shop sipping her sugary drink and day dreaming of luxurious, juicy, dripping with flavor Teriyaki Meat.

Five would follow along. She was keeping pace with him which was a good sign. Idly he would wonder if she even realized she was being trained. His offer to loan her money was glossed over like he never said it of course. Still she seemed rather confident in her eating habits. A buffet would be in order he supposed though he found the idea of eating so much grotesque. She was so much the opposite of him he idly wondered if he really wanted to stick around. obnoxiously talkative and distracted easily. If not for that incredible speed and a slight ability to follow directions he would have sent her on her way. However this was good for his patience. Training himself against the most conversational wall he had ever met. He would sigh as she sipped the drink he already regretted giving her into the shop. He was finding this all a bit of a test but he would keep calm and cool all the same. There would be lessons taught to her in due time. His other student was much more like him so perhaps with their powers combined they could bring out the best in her.

He would enter the shop shortly after the girl and move slowly through the products. It was an impressive set. Some more than others but still all of it was better than the basic shops and cheaper too. He would pat his wallet as he considered shopping here himself in the future. He would eye a set of armor here and there and slowly realize there were no weapons in here. Oh dear. That meant a second stop. Still it was good to be appropriately geared for ones skill sets. If she was to become an assassin like Five a good set of armor could save her life. He let out a slow breath as he moved to the counter. Tapping on it before waiting for Emiki to select her armor. He would pull his wallet from his coat and pull out ten thousand ryo bills. Passing them to her without much thought to it. Still even as he shuffled through his wallet he did so in such a way that it was difficult to impossible to actually see what was in his wallet.

"Pay for your gear now with this Emiki. We wouldn't want you to forget and run out of the store with the product." Which he was surprised she hadn't just stolen a weapon by now.

Emiki walked out of the Shop with her sensei. She'd need to return after the first Exam to move on to the next phase of her armor design, but for now it would have to do. Emiki felt her nerves light up with nervous excitement as she saw the finished product dancing inside her head. When everything was said and done Emiki was going to have armor capable of withstanding insane amounts of force, both from her insane moving speed, and from her impacting things while moving at said insane moving speeds.

Sure there was always the option of not blasting into things at breakneck speeds, but that wasn't really her style. The armor would also compensate for the fact that she had no turning speed to speak of. But that was neither here nor there, that was something for Future Emiki to deal with, the Emiki in the here and now needed to get herself a modest sword to stab people with until it eventually became warped or shattered under the strain like all her other weapons.

Looking at Five, Emiki gave a cake eating grin, "Well it will be a small wait, but Emiki will eventually have armor capable of doubling as a weapon and will make sure it lasts at least a few weeks before Emiki needs to replace it, now it's time to find us a cheap weapon than all the meat Emiki can eat!

Finding a tanto was easy enough, a few stores down from a weapon smith making mass produced, overpriced goods. Paying the 5k needed to get it, Emiki looked at her sensei with sparkling eyes, "Now that Emiki has a small sword ... or a rather ambitiously sized dagger, where would you like to go for teriyaki beef?"

Five would wander almost aimlessly around the two shops they visited. He had invested a little over a hundred and fifty thousand in shops like these before now but the quality of some of these custom goods was impressive. He may have found himself more entertained had he started here. Still his second soldier was gaining equipment capable of keeping up with her. A student to be molded as he saw fit. Another assassin to strike at the heart of wherever their squad was aimed. It was good that she was investing in herself so heartily. If she were a slacker he would have never accepted her as his student. Certainly she wasn't without her flaws. However together their fame and prestige would rise. Their deadly arts combined would spread fear to Kiri's enemies. They just needed to be sure not to be feared by the village itself. He was far from ready for that encounter. Nor did he wish to see it come to pass. He would stroke his chin as he thought mischievous thoughts. Perhaps this Hana had aspirations that he could assist with. She would find him most agreeable if she wanted someone dead. An enemy in the court perhaps.

Emiki was actually rather a delight as she led him through the market. Unlike most men he rather enjoyed shopping. Purchasing a bell and a violin both to be sent to his home. He would enjoy playing an instrument again. He even purchased a couple of gold plated earrings with purple jewels to match his eyes which he placed in his ear that had none. Forcing them in and then with a slight green glow the piercings were healed. No blood to be seen. He would glance at her as he finished paying for the tanto. Plucking it from her fingers as he led her into a Teriyaki house and buffet. He was sure to pay for four people. Counting her as three as per the managers request as he knew of the terror of all buffet restaurants by name and appearance. Once they were seated Five would tuck the tanto into his inner coat as he smiled to her. Their first four plates of meat being brought to them along with some tea. "You can have it back if you mind your manners. Chew with your mouth closed and try not to be more ravenous than a wolf. If you behave I will return it to you after the meal." Teaching her restraint. For the love of god just a little restraint.

Emiki watched as Five placed in the gold earings after sending off some instruments to who knew were, and gave a little squee, "Sensei! That looks absolutely adorable on you! Emiki thinks that Sensei has good tastes, but Emiki didn't know you played music? Emiki is a patron of the arts, and usually gets her family to give her money so she can help artists she likes succeed. A world without art, is like a world without joy, Emiki thinks. Can Emiki hear you play someday, if Emiki is lucky?"

She'd hop in place excitedly as she asked. Much like a hyper active, easily distractible child, but beneath the veneer of hyper excitability, was a genuine interest. She was the type of person who loved all forms of the arts, it was creative, expressive, and full of emotion. Just like Emiki, except with the whole, Emiki never was able to get talented in art. She just lacked the coordination and ability to focus attention for any length of time.

As the entered into the buffet and Five took the Tanto and told her she could get it back after dinner if she minded her manner and kept her ravenousness under that of a wolf, Emiki would give him a major dose of the puppy eyes. Something who's effectiveness was severely cut by the fact she looked like she was an olympiad and every bit the sports nut she was, "What if Emiki promised to keep her Ravenousness to below that of a hungry, hungry hippo? Emiki can promise lower than a ravenous hippo."

After his reply Emiki would Body Flicker around the buffet picking out entire racks of ribs, whole hams, and large chunks of entrees on her first pass, until she had a proverbial small mountain on her plate.

"Itadakimasu!"

After giving thanks for the meal she'd tuck up as Five went about a less, hectic pace to get his food. The food veritably disappearing from Emiki's plate, As she sucked the meat from bones, inhaled the softer meats, and popped dumplings as if they were made out of cracked. All the while a low moan of pleasure was trickling out of her throat. By the time Five came back Emiki's first course was finished. "Be right back Sensei!"

Of course most of the whole courses were still being rushed to cook but Emiki's found other dishes to pile above her hairline with food. Stopping over by a chef running over to take out a freshly cleared out, section, courtesy of Emiki, "Emiki's getting soup next, can you give me a gallon bowl if you have it? Or a small clean bucket for ramen?"

Emiki laughed at the small look of horror on the chefs face as he looked at her as if she'd grown a second head, "B-b-b-bucket!? G-g-gallon!?"

"Yes. Emiki can go for half a gallon if Emiki makes two stops if you don't have a full gallon." Emiki replied with a small laugh before heading back to the table leaving the chef in a daze.


Smiling happily at Five, Emiki would cheerfully thank him, "Thank you Sensei! The food here is good isn't it?" And much like before, the food would seemingly disappear within moments. Leaving Emiki to wait for the soup receptacle.

Five would watch impatiently after he sat down with an organized and balanced meal on his plate. However all he could do was sit and watch. It was horrifying. She wasn't even remotely attempting to behave. She was like a wild beast of legend mowing down any food she could get her hands on. She was amused by her own disobedience. His frown would lengthen and his eyes would flicker red as he grew more and more irritated. She was acting the fool and he was having none of it. His appetite for his own food had faded away now and he felt no desire to eat. His eyes shifted passed her to see others watching them. She was humiliating him in public. His right hand would slowly flex and unflex as his knuckles turned white. He had to remind himself it would be frowned upon for him to strike her here in plain view of the civilians. He wouldn't tolerate any more of this theater regardless of how much she complimented him. The cook looked to him for aid as she ordered a gallon bucket of ramen. That was it. He had allowed this to go far enough.

With a slow movement he would pluck the tanto out of his coat. For a moment he would slip it up to catch it by the blade before with a flick of his wrist and no warning or killing intent he threw it. Pinning a bone in her hand to the seat next to her face. His eyes met hers and he was livid. He had given her simple direction and she had ignored it. No self control whatsoever. He would stand up from his seat and adjust his coat before moving next to her and leaning down to whisper to her. "I would advise you take my words more seriously child. I will not tolerate an act of ignorance and rebellion like this again. The next time you embarrass me like this, I won't be threatening you, I will be dragging you out by your hair. Understand? Now I am going to leave. I will send summons the next time I have a lesson for you. Enjoy your meal hippo." She had named the animal herself. Now he didn't care if she cried or not. She had disobeyed him. He left her with her meal, her tanto and her armor ordered to walk out into the street. A small drizzle had begun but he was furious. To calm down he pulled a cigarette container with a joker card on it out and opened it with a click. Plopping the cigarette in between his lips he lit it with a match and took a long drag.

Emiki didn't know what Five was angry about, and made her confusion clear, "But Emiki didn't speak with my mouth full or eat with her mouth open, and Emiki limited to normal setting to a tenth of usual per serving. How was Emiki disobeying you?" The confusion on her face was clear as day, as was her oblivious to the danger of the situation.  Not just the tone shift, but the fact that thrown blade had went clean through the bone and was millimeters from stabbing her having not fazed her in the least.

Not in the whole "I'm super brave and not scared of anything" false bravado those scared for their lives used to hide their worry. But rather a complete obliviousness to the danger around her. It was the cocksure, freedom of worry that would allow her to rush into an enemy group armed with nothing but a kunai, or would ignore the warning signs that she was dangerously close to overstepping a line.

Her lack of perception and intelligence couldn't have been painting any clearer of a picture as it did right now.

With a shrug she'd give a nod, "Still Emiki thanks you for the blade, she looks forward to getting her summons for next lesson, and Emiki thanks you even more for the food ... although if you are leaving can Emiki have your food as well? It would be a waste not to finish it."

With that she'd go back to her meal until she was kicked out ten minutes later for surpassing the limit of 11 plates per person (4 times over since she was eating for Five and her 3 people order.), and nearly putting a halt to the buffet from them rushing to put things out.

With a slightly full belly and a pep in her step she'd head home, and get ready for the first day of the exams.
