Appearance:
Kenpachi is 5’10 with a lean wiry build, his skin is the pale white of the aristocracy with a handsome face to match. He has maroon eyes with dirty blond hair and large gold earrings.
History:
Kenpachi was born to a well off merchant family. He is the eldest of 3 boys and as such was destined for a different life than the one he currently has. He was supposed to take over the family business when his father became too old to continue. His family appeared normal to all on the outside but they had a secret arrangement with the Kazehana clan that stated the second-born son of the family must leave at the age of 5 to begin his training to become a ninja. Kenpachi’s younger brother, however, was very frail and sick most of the time so he decided to take his place when the time came. His parents not wanting their middle child to have what would be a very hard life called in as many favors as they could to change the agreement this one time and allow Kenpachi to take his brother’s place although he was three years older than was customary.
At first, his training was extremely difficult for him but in time he became accustomed to it and even started to excel in some areas. One of these was his ability to wield a Yari with his hands and with his Jinton techniques. It was a very unusual way for these techniques to be used and made him somewhat of a black sheep. Once he graduated he was determined to make a name for himself to prove those who doubted him wrong.
Personality:
Kenpachi is a charismatic person due to his initial mercantile training, however he has an arrogant streak and a need to find exciting things to do and see. He has a need to prove that his unorthodox style is effective if not superior in some was to the traditional uses of Jinton.
