Mission Goal: Protect the pregnant woman, kill any Alliance who try to stop you.
Description: One of the crew's friends, Nandi, sends a message for help from the crew of the Serenity. There is a custody battle waging between a civilian and a high ranking member of the Alliance. She’s requesting the crew to get rid of the Alliance that are trying to steal her baby.

Now this was a job Tamwyn could really get behind.

Apparently a friend of the crew’s a woman named ‘Nandi’ was in the process of a custody battle for her baby against the Alliance scum who impregnated her. He didn’t even intend to let the woman be a part of the child’s life and if he got the child he could make that desire a reality. The Serenity was tasked with ensuring that did not occur without leaving any traces back to Nandi. Simple enough, and in true Serenity style, they were going to eliminate some Alliance members too. Hey, that’s a win-win in everyone’s book in Tamwyn’s eyes. Well, except for the Alliance, but who cares about them right? The crew was currently outside of the Alliance base where the high ranking member was stationed and they were just waiting for confirmation that the man was indeed within the base. Then they were going to raze it to the ground with Tamwyn and Yenn being the ‘main’ force. The rest of the crew were just going to back them up. In case any Alliance members reached them.

To be honest that wouldn’t even be an issue. This was the type of thing that both Tamwyn and Yenn excelled at. She had already seen an example of his personal destructive power during their first mission together. When Yuan Ji had simply ceased to exist due to the sheer power of his Kikoho blast. This wouldn’t be much better, there'd just be more debris. Of course the base was too large for one blast to do the job, but it would certainly cause so much damage and confusion that everyone would notice and no one would be thinking about a desperate mother trying to keep her child in her custody when they thought of this.

This particular mission hit home with Yenn. She was livid when she found out that this high ranking Alliance official was thinking of stealing Nandi’s child. Cruel ‘parents’ were something that Yenn considered herself an expert on and this was one father that wouldn’t be getting away with anything. All her and Tamwyn had to do was fuck everyone up. And unlike the last mission, this one she had no problem with. Her anger was palpable and dark storm clouds laced with lightning would roll in as she waited for some sign to begin from Tamwyn.

Assuming she got one she would set about cleaning up anyone that managed to escape Tamwyn. To say that she was bloodthirsty in those moments wasn’t entirely accurate. But it was close enough. Yenn had taken this mission to heart and she saw red as she stalked across the field and helped to raze everything in sight. She was barely aware of her partner, didn’t see the faces of the people she cut down. All she could see was the memories of a hateful Quan and Tien in every person she looked at and it drove her fury and need for vengeance. Her violet eyes crackled and sparked with electricity as she channeled raiton and ranton on the hapless fools that had signed up to join the Alliance, her face twisted with rage as she screamed at them. “You don’t deserve her!” She didn’t know if Nandi’s child was a girl, it didn’t matter. She wasn’t actually talking about Nandi anymore.

As the dark storm clouds above danced Tamwyn would realize that this particular mission would probably resonate rather um ‘thoroughly’ with his partner. ‘Oh dear..’ He thought as she began attacking Alliance personnel. That was the intent all along but they hadn’t gotten confirmation yet that the man they were actually after was on the premises. Luckily that confirmation came as Zoe came down, a shopping bag in her hand. She had been in the Alliance base, which were really just towns with the men and women displaced and then reinforced for Alliance personnel. She was shopping and asking questions in simple curiosity. She nodded at him, as Yenn seemed a little ‘preoccupied’. Tamwyn would nod back before channeling his Kikoho and using it to blast the town with concentrated power the blast was 300m long and 100m wide and was targeted center mass. For the local magistrates house which Zoe helped him angle. If the man they were after was anywhere it would be there.

The concentrated blast would tear through the town in an absolutely indescribable manner. The crew of Serenity hadn’t seen this from him yet and Zoe looked at him with a wild eyed look in her eyes as he effortlessly tore into the town. Everyone in it was Alliance, as when they took over a town for their purposes they displaced all civilians who generally simply moved to a new location and rebuilt. Sometimes the Serenity crew helped with those projects too, putting towns back together and helping people rebuild after they had been displaced by the Alliance. This time though, it was all destruction. The next half hour or so was a blur of motion, an electrical charge was in the air and it was all confusion and fighting and killing. At the end of it Tamwyn looked toward the area where the Magistrates building had been. Then he would turn toward Mal. “Was he confirmed to have been inside?” He asked, they couldn’t identify a body they didn’t have and Malcolm nodded. “Various people confirmed it during interrogation.” Prompting Tamwyn to nod before sighing and turning to head back to camp. Now it would appear as if it was just another attack against the Alliance from the Serenity, and not a targeted attack against an individual within the Alliance hierarchy. “I’m going to bed, don’t wake me..” He would say, fatigue pervading his body. They had to be almost done, right? He would black out the moment he hit the bed, his arm loosely around Yenn if she joined him but he wouldn’t even be able to notice that at that point he was so tired.

Yenn was beside herself with rage, and she hadn’t thought to confirm that the person they were targeting was even anywhere nearby. Fortunately Tamwyn thought of that and got the confirmation himself as she slaughtered any Alliance members that moved. It was only the blast from Tamwyn’s Kikoho that finally brought her back to her senses and she would turn to look at Tamwyn guiltily before turning back and helping to finish off any Alliance survivors. It was more violent than she had ever been and it scared her, she had seen that same violence in Quan and Tien and she wondered if maybe she had inherited it and it poisoned her soul now too.

She wanted to ask Tamwyn about it, but seeing the exhaustion on his face she would resign herself to supporting him for now and ask him about it later once they were both more rested. Nandi and her child were safe, and there would be nothing to trace the attack back to her. The mission, such as it was, was a success. Once they were back in their bunk Yenn would smile as Tamwyn blacked out as soon as he lay down, and after planting a gentle kiss on his forehead she would curl up next to him and do the same.
