Mission Goal: Rescue Mal and Wash. Kill anyone who tries to stop you.
Description: Remember when you helped steal medical supplies and returned them to the grateful townsfolk? Well you hurt someone’s bottom line and now Captain Mal Reynolds and the pilot Wash have been kidnapped. Go to the Alliance base and rescue them before they’re tortured to death. Also don’t forget to collect Mal’s ear, he needs that. The base is protected by two squads of C-Class npc’s with Bukijutsu and all D-Rank stats.

Malcolm has done it again and in all stunningly brilliance.

Tamwyn remembered when the man had stolen the medicine from the land of frost by mistake then returned it. However apparently a big shot mob boss in the Alliance’s pocket was intending to steal that cargo and sell it for a premium profit. However, the Serenity crew had stolen it and returned it. The mobster never had the opportunity to do so. Now the man had tracked down Mal during one of his jobs and kidnapped him and the navigator, Wash. Now they were being tortured to a slow and painful end and it was up to Tamwyn and Yenn to rescue them. The pale haired man moved into the base silently, Yenn probably shadowing him. The plan was simple enough, they would sneak in and rescue Mal and Wash behind the guards backs. Then come out attacking while dragging them along.

It did however had the unfortunate drawback of Yenn having to be the one to play main line offense rather than Tamwyn. A position she had never really filled before. She was not however strong enough to physically carry Mal and Wash. While Tamwyn was, that would however require both of his arms. So he would need to carry them out, and she would need to clear the field for him to do so. Just sneaking in, getting them out, and sneaking out wasn’t an option either. Because Mal would just come back and try to kill them all anyway because they’re Alliance. “Sometimes..that man is more trouble than he’s worth.” He muttered quietly as he snuck through the base.

This crew was like a literal magnet for trouble. It didn’t matter what security they put in place or how carefully they planned things, something always went wrong. And spectacularly so. Turned out that those medical supplies that they had gone to so much trouble to steal and then give back had been promised to a mobster named Niska. And Yenn guessed that as a general rule you weren’t supposed to steal from mobsters, as in return for the betrayal Mal and Wash had been kidnapped. She was worried about what was happening to the Captain and the Navigator, besides the fact that this Niska was known for his more brutal methods of dealing with people she also considered everyone in the crew to be friends at this point and she didn’t want anything bad to happen to them.

The thing that was different about this mission was that she was going to be responsible for most of the combat. She wasn’t strong enough to carry both Mal and Wash, probably wasn’t strong enough to carry even one of them. Certainly wasn’t tall enough. She had killed many times now, and was feeling more confident in her capabilities but every time it came to doing it again that all too familiar nausea would roll through her. She would shake it off and smile sympathetically at Tamwyn’s comment. “Maybe. You know though, if you were in there, there’s nothing I wouldn’t do to get you back.” Placing a hand on his arm to steady herself she would take a deep breath and rise to her feet, ready to burst into an Alliance controlled base. Moving forward she would stand in plain view of the assembled guards and shout. It was always her plan, draw their attention and deal with it later. “Hey fuckos! Who wants to try their hand at making it out of here alive?” She expected that they would all try, but she didn’t intend on letting any of them succeed. A group of angry and incredulous guards would rush her as she activated Laser Circus. A halo of brilliant energy would form around her hands as she fired multiple beams of ranton at each of the attackers. There were a few moments of hectic noise, frantic running and then silence as the last of their bodies hit the ground. She would look at Tamwyn and motion with her head to go further in, taking a moment to steady herself against a nearby stack of crates as her stomach heaved again at the smell of charred flesh. “I’m right behind you.” she said as she collected herself.

Yenn’s comment made him smile at her and he gave her a quick kiss before responding.“If someone took you I’d just level the place and take you back.” He would say cheerfully before moving in and taking out the torturers that were slowly edging Malcolm and Wash to their deaths. His movements were quick and efficient and he swiftly took both down before picking off various torture devices from the two men and picking them up on his shoulders. Lightning crackled to life around him as he carried them. He was strong for a person, but two grown men, one on each shoulder was a lot for a normal man so he needed the power his Lightning Armor provided. He carried them out of the complex as Yenn began to yell and antagonize the Alliance guards. As he exited the complex a large amount of interesting looking lightning bolts would be flung from Yenn’s hands, a few dedicated to each guard. They would turn the men and women defending this place into hunks of charred flesh, life no longer pulsing through their veins. He would pause for a bit as she leaned against crates and as she readied herself he would continue on.

It took some time for them to return them to the ship. While inside Tamwyn had also stopped to get an ear that had been cut off from Malcolm and wrapped it in a napkin. Simon could probably reattach it with some medical ninjutsu. Once they returned to the camp Tamwyn would hand wash off to Jayne who set him down gently for Zoe to ‘wife’ over. Tamwyn would lay Malcolm onto the doctors table and let Simon get to work before he motioned for Yenn to follow him and left to their bunk. He wanted to sleep for a week and if he could have her wrapped in his arms while he did it then it would be the best sleep in his life, it always was.

Exit

The torture scene was sickening. And to top it all off someone had cut off Malcom’s ear, which Tamwyn was thoughtful enough to collect into a napkin and bring with him. She was glad that all she had to do was kill all the guards, and not carry two grown men and their respective body parts. She had to admit though, seeing Tamwyn easily hoist the two men onto his shoulders was quite the sight and she distracted herself from her nausea by imagining herself being the one in his arms. Once they returned to the camp the rest of the crew went straight to work caring for Mal and Wash. Simon was a genius with medical ninjutsu and reattaching the severed ear was a simple matter for someone of his skill. Wash was tended to by his wife Zoe and everyone else stood around trying to make the two feel better with a strange combination of sympathy and jokes.

Yenn didn’t have much else to do once Mal and Wash were safe so she went back to her and Tamwyn’s bunk and waited for him to arrive so that she could curl up in his arms and drift off to sleep. There was no place she would rather be at that moment after they’d successfully completed the mission. He was her hero after all, and she lived for the quiet moments she got to spend with him.
