The orders had been simple and easily understood. Those who were responsible for the mass decrease in the villages overall value were to be mass executed. Since there was no official way to judge this without possible years of paperwork involved, the age group most liable for all of it had been singled out. A younger generation given motivation to improve before they see the same fate. Truth be told Tadara saw great value in this. To him he thought the purge like this should happen in every corner of the world. However it would not be limited to just the elderly. It would include anyone who could not provide value over the value they took from the world around them. Those who wasted space should not occupy it. Still the coordinated effort of all the men Chen had brought with his grid pattern style search with his bee swarm checking house to house had dwindled the percentage of a chance they would find them so easily now. Or for that matter not defended. Most of these people did not see the sense in this cleanse and had chosen a foolish path. Choosing to instead fight back against impossible odds.
It so happened that he had located a group of people who were directly involved with the state of the village. People of influence and power from years of draining the economy like a leech. Greed and pride keeping them going like they fed off it for power. So they had used that influence to gather some of these rebels under them. Still these soldiers from a disbanded military were almost like amateurs. So keen on defending this lot of the old guard that they would not see his scouts. They would not know they were being counted...weighed...measured and memorized. Every patrol, every cough notated and even the slightest gait of a limp in one of their right legs. Their conversations analyzed for a likelihood of who would attack and in what order if threatened. How many of them could be eliminated if caught out on their own...which they did often. They were not organized with experience but they had some training. However against Tadara it wouldn't matter. The squad they had brought with were occupied on the other side of the village or guarding Chen at the moment...so he would handle this task alone. Confident in his plan. The owl would set out.
The owl would stay within the shadows as he formed a tiger seal and would sink into them like water. His dark form already covered in a black cloak with an owl mask. He needed to get close and move among them in silence for this to work. The first went out for a smoke every hour. Seperate from the others who hated the habit. He would light a smoke and sigh under a single flickering lamp above him. One moment it flickered on and then off...a moment would pass before he would tap on the light. Revealing the owl standing behind him. With his left hand Tadara would cover the mans mouth with a gloved hand. Forcing the cigarette lit in between his lips and holding him in silence. Using his other hand as the man's hands would raise to fight him would grab the mans trench knife from its sheath and use it to stab him up and under the sternum. With surgical precision. He would set the body down slowly before shifting down and low. Moving along the wall as soon as he was in the door. Over to the power box for the building. In silence he would open it before flipping the master breaker.
With that done Tadara would take a breath as he set the knife in his belt. Quietly he would form three hand seals. Dog-Ox-Rat before slamming his thumbs in three spots on his legs before raising up and taking the knife in his hand. He would shake his arms as he focused ijutsu chakra into them. Letting them extend outwards for three meters before they came. At this point his speed was B rank and he had the advantage of surprise. In the dark the first one cleared the doorway calling out for the first victim. He squinted as he tried to see in the dark. Holding up a light in his hand. Quickly his throat found a trench knife buried in it and then yanked out the side. Even as he fell Tadara took his sword. The other three called out and rushed in at once. Utterly unprepared for their enemy. Tadara would spin the light from the first person to enter the room and throw off their senses. They came in full of rage but unable to see where he was accurately. Two of them fell quickly from precise strikes with the trench knife and sword.
The last one would try and slash at one of the arms. Only to see it whip away as he slashed at air. Tadara would use his B rank speed at this point to move behind the man. Shifting into his blind spot as the two blades rained down blows in a duet from opposite directions each time. If one was blocked the other would strike. Taking out muscle groups until the man would fall over. Bleeding to death and unable to move. With that Tadara would move onto the old people hidden away above. Their screams echoing out into the night as the Owl completed his mission. Their guard slaughtered with medical precision. Until there was silence.
