Kokonoe was far from a prodigy upon her birth, she was in fact quite lackluster in her beginning years. Unlocking the potential behind her eyes, the Sharingan, was the hardest thing for Kokonoe to do. For this reason most of the other Uchiha figured that she would give up the idea of becoming a ninja to aim for becoming a normal citizen. Kokonoe was almost willing to accept that life when she was pulled aside one night in her youth by her grandfather. Utsushi Uchiha told her of his own adventure to unlocking the doujutsu passed down by their ancestors, how it was hard for him as well, but that he didn't allow for anyone to tell him how he was meant to live and by hardening himself for the future ahead, he obtained great fame through battle and eventually unlocked the Sharingan.
This pep talk was what she needed in her life, that necessary drive to push the young Kokonoe to follow in her grandfather's footsteps but not to match him -- to surpass him. It was easier said than done however as she still had to pass the Academy. It took a little longer than her peers but eventually she graduated into becoming a Genin at the prime age of 14, still young and spirited. Without the Sharingan, Kokonoe had to work on backing herself up by going with her strengths, flame ninjutsu and sensing out targets for their missions. Even with her faults she proved to be a powerful asset to her team when missions called for her talents for the following 3 years.
The Chuunin Exams were where it got rough, while she was smart and did well in most subjects that required mental tactics and studying, she was a little lacking on the physical side. She failed to become the champion of the Chuunin Exams but still passed along with her squadmates of Team 3. She retained her rank as a Chuunin for 4 years with her teammates. It was the arrival for her Sharingan to emerge during the events of an A-Ranked Mission bringing them all straight to a Battlefield where Kumogakure and Konohagakure were temporarily raging battle... and Konoha was currently losing.
After the Battlefield of the Lost, as Kokonoe called it, she was promoted to Jounin for her efforts and surviving after being temporarily captured by the enemy, killing several ninjas in her attempted escape before being rescued by reinforcements. Despite being a Jounin for around a year, she still considers herself a fledgling when compared to others of her ranking, needing further experience before she feels like one properly.
Personality:
Kokonoe is intelligent and witty, holding an intimate knowledge of Konohagakure and its workings due to her experience as a Jounin of the village. Although relatively calm and mature when a situation calls for it, Kokonoe is quite laid-back and playful, often teasing or flirting with those younger than her. She shows herself to be an incredibly serious and determined fighter when confronted with an actual threat. Willing to fight, kill, and die if need be for whatever she believes in, Kokonoe is a dangerous woman to those who stand in her way. She always maintains a veil of respect for her opponents, is polite in combat situations and prefers to fight one on one. In her off time, she often drinks sake in bars and naps. Other times, she likes to chase after both women and men.

- The sound of voices and of a lone sobbing, muffled but near enough for one to notice welcomed Kokonoe as her eyes began to part open. Her onyx hues shifted upwards and about but soon realized this wasn't the war-torn forest that she'd grown accustomed to over the past few days. What lay in place of familiar territory was a holding cell temporarily crafted for use on the battlefield by earth style users. The last few hours of her consciousness were beginning to trickle into her brain which ached with the force that she'd been hit with prior.

Kokonoe, Satsuki and Momo were supposed to survey the area just outside of the fighting zone where activity was more frequent to look for supplies and openings in Kumogakure's defensive formations. Their sensei Nishiki was on the front-lines but assured them that he'd return before nightfall, it was already getting close to sunset and that meant visibility was going to get worse as time went on. "We should go ahead and retreat back to our side's established territory and make camp. The longer we sit here the more danger we'll be in when night finally comes for us." Kokonoe advised her comrades in hopes they'd take her advice.
"We were told to scout out and find openings, wouldn't the best time for that be during the night? We could get even closer and see where they are moving back to during nightfall then help the others plan an ambush." Satsuki retorted, she was always the wild one of their group that focused more on the present than reading outside the box. "I think Kokonoe is right, we should move back, I-I already don't like it out here." It seemed as though Momo was already close to shaking out of fear of being attacked by the more well-known heavy hitters of Kumogakure's forces. She was talented in battle but knew her limits and allowed fear to plague her mind whenever faced with stronger opponents.
"Screw you both, I'm getting a better look!" Satsuki called out, jumping from branch to branch in attempts of finding a more closer and visually accessible spot to spy from. "Satsuki! Damn it. Momo, send word back to the others that Satsuki and I will be moving ahead and to send others after us if we don't return within a few hours." It was a strong idea, Momo already didn't want to be here longer than she had to, so giving her something to do that would bring her safety was a good step in the right direction towards getting her to do as Kokonoe wanted her to. Momo nodded and then turned around, dashing off as fast as her legs would take her.
They were temporarily split apart from one another, leaving Kokonoe to follow after Satsuki. "I swear, you never listen to anyone, do you?" Satsuki was quick to grin and turn her eyes back upon Kokonoe while she jumped. "Got you to tag along, didn't I? Good to see you didn't ditch like Mom--" Satsuki's words were cut short upon slamming directly into another ninja whom was in the midst of a jump as well, causing both collided ninja to fall downwards towards the ground. "Satsuki!" Kokonoe lept downward and reached out a hand, clasping hold of Satsuki's own outstretched and with a flip both of them skid across the ground, uninjured for the moment.
As both turned their eyes onto the fallen figure, it was the sight of the body turning into a cloud of smoke that made them go immediately on the defensive. "A clone!?" Satsuki went to grasp for her kunai holster on her thigh while Kokonoe brought her hands close together in preparations for a jutsu. They were both caught off-guard however when three ninja arrived at once, catching their attentions away from one another long enough to allow a forth to slip between their defenses and crack his fists against the back of their heads with enough force to send them unconscious.---
That's what led them to now being prisoners of war to Kumogakure, trapped together in different cells with nothing left but the vague hope that reinforcements would soon arrive to retrieve them both. Kokonoe took a slow breath now that she'd regained her mental footing of the situation, writhing her wrists only to feel that they were encased in rock with both hands kept separated by a layer of the rock so she couldn't make hand-signs.
"How nice of you to join us, we just finished interrogated that friend of yours, as you can see it was quite effective." A large male, had to be around six feet even with a toned frame and dark skin, looked around mid thirties. Kokonoe couldn't recognize him by any given name so he must've not made a very big name for himself yet. Turning her attention towards the sounds of the cell beside her, it was the sobbing noises that she'd heard before that must've been Satsuki. Just what did they do to her?
"Now then, we're going to let you both make a choice. You both get to decide who we kill, we only need one prisoner so the other is just going to be dead weight. If you choose the other person, we'll let you live but if you both choose each other then we'll torture you both more until you come to a decision, the same will be done if you both choose yourselves. So go ahead, choose."
Damn, this was the worst scenario for them both to be in, the walls were just thick enough that the sobbing from earlier was muffled. They wouldn't be able to know what one another choose in this case so they couldn't collaborate together. What would Satsuki choose? Kokonoe had to give it some though while this man just seemed to grin and revel in her pained expression of thought. What a sadist.
"I choose myself." Kokonoe ultimately decided, waiting to hear back from the man as he looked to the side towards another partner he'd had at the other cell. With some moments passing by it's unclear what was chosen until the man steps inside and smirks, taking out a kunai. "You both chosen yourselves." Thank the stars Satsuki wasn't an idiot. Torture is something they could both handle... they just needed to buy time until they were rescued... if they were rescued.
Minutes passed as Kokonoe's screams filled the room's air, teeth clenched and blood drenching down her stomach and chest from gashes made by the man's weapon. She almost passed out twice from the pain but managed to hold herself awake through it all. "Can't have you dying on us just yet so lets treat these wounds with some care, shall we?" Medical ninjutsu was it? So they were just going to heal the wou-- her mind was cut from it's thoughts when the man in-front of her began weaving handsigns.
She couldn't make out the jutsu being used at first glance just from the signs alone but when he began breathing out fire onto the kunai's blade it became very apparent. What followed was the man cauterizing her wounds closed, forcing audible yelling from her as she writhed around on the floor after the wounds were sealed shut. The blistering agony of having your skin forcibly burned together, it was enough to make anyone just want to give up on the spot.
The only thing that kept Kokonoe going was Satsuki, keeping her alive was paramount to this entire operation working out without them being killed. The man stepped back out of the cell and tapped his foot, waiting for the few minutes it took Kokonoe to get to an ample situation to speak. "Round two, what are you going to choose? Kokonoe grit her teeth, glaring out at the man in anger. "MYSELF!"
Silence followed but the man grinned wide after getting a nod from his partner. "Looks like your friend decided to choose you too. Sadly you're going to have to live with the fact she went and betrayed you because we're just going to kill her since she sold you out. Think of it as a favor, we're such nice guys aren't we?"
Satsuki had chosen her? Tears filled her eyes as she was more upset that Satsuki was apparently going to be killed now, they couldn't get away with this! They shouldn't! Kokonoe began tugging and pulling at the chain connected to her earth covered hands but it was too strong. Hearing the sound of screaming down the other cell, Kokonoe began bashing herself backwards against the cell wall, over and over and over. Once the earth binding her arms broke enough, she pulled her wrists and hands free, finally!
Just as she began to rush towards the cell's entrance the screams were gone and she knew what it meant... what they'd done. She couldn't forgive them, she wouldn't! For the first time she felt pure untamed hatred and as tears rushed down her cheeks she could see in a new light. Her Sharingan had been activated and the next few minutes for her right before the rescue unit would arrive were a blur.All she remembered after, was being covered in blood.
