One could've argued that in Kirigakure at the very moment, there were officially three people at the top. As long as the former Mizukage Nikuyo was nowhere to be seen and his successors who had either vanished completely or just left office without a say where out of the picture, those three shinobi were Tetsudashi Ken The Brutal Blade, Halcyon Yomi The Rogue of the Mist and than there was the current Mizukage: Yuki Takeo The Icy Flame. It was no surprise that that young jounin got the title of Mizukage in the end, he had already been the previous strategist for a short time and had shown great promise when Yomi had first meet him, being that he was intelligent and capable of forming unorthodox and cunning strategies on the fly.

However, after two years, Yomi was tired of not climbing higher on the ladder in Kirigakure. She had been doing odd jobs for the past two years, stuck with genin and her more 'hands on' work. She understood why they passed her over for Mizukage, heck she didn't even want to be burdened with the entire responsibility. Yet she did feel left out, stranded on the wayside now...while she was sure she'd become an anbu, a special jounin, strategist or even jounin commander, in the end, she was stuck doing nothing and she was quite tired of it.

So, rather than wallowing in sadness or feeling depressed, thejounin decided to send a missive to the Mizukage, stamping it with her personal seal so that it wouldn't get lost in the bureaucratic mess of the administration building. It was a simple proposal: for the Mizukage to come and enjoy some time off and spar with her at the training area, like they had done years prior.

With some time able to be spared, the brunette was capable of actually attending the invitation to get some training done. It was definitely reminiscent of how they first met years before. Simply wearing his standard suit and such, Takeo reaches the intended location, his arm elevating itself so he can offer an idle wave. "It's been awhile. I'm guessing you want to get right down to business?" The man chimes with a rather relaxed expression.

He was pleased to be able to get some training done at last. There were many techniques he wanted to put to the test but never had the actual chance to as far as training opportunities went. That wasnt quite something he'd admit though, so the male opts to stay quiet, just waiting to see if the Halcyon was ready to get things started. It would save some time afterall.

"Straight to the point as always," Yomi chuckled when the mizukage seemed to guess correctly that she was the type that wanted to go right down to business. However, unlike last time, she thought it better not to instantly go all out, as it seemed better to savor this match rather than having it end a bit too soon. As such, all she did, was to crack her neck and flex her arms for a bit. "I'm curious to see how much you've grown since your appointment to Mizukage...don't disappoint me."

With that being said, the jounin forced her chakra to course more violently through her physique, eager to show off that she had managed to raise her Jigoku no Ken to a new level, even more so to prove yet again that not the Kaguya, but she herself was the greatest among kirigakure's taijutsu specialists. In an instant, she threw all of herself at Takeo, rushing at him while cocking back both her arms, ready to deliver the first blow in the form of a swift repetition of jabs with the points of her fingers towards the Mizukage's gut.

Takeo lowers his arm to his side and readies himself as the female makes her advance, assessing the flow of chakra throughout her. Not waiting for her to get to him, the male forms half of the Tiger handseal, demonstrating a new quirk of his as he does so. Chakra is converted to Water chakra, and in one fell swoop it localises moisture from the air. Gathering in front of him, the water promptly manifests directly before him, taking on his shape with the intent of taking the attack in his stead. He personally advances as well, though it's with a different intention in mind once more chakra starts to envelop his reservoir.

Part of it emerges from within him, converting itself to chakra of the Ice element. In one instant, the natural water vapor in the surrounding area begins to crystallize, encompassing their general area as Takeo lunges his hand out toward the clone. He attempts to freeze the clone as well, hopefully before it reverts to its original nature, though this goes under the assumption that his rebuttal to her attacks succeeded. For the time being, there wasnt much he intended to do aside from that, mostly focusing on her chakra to ensure she wasn't going to pull a fast one on him.

Just as she hoped to reach the Mizukage, the jounin's swift consecutive jab was stopped in it's tracks by the Yuki clanmember's skillfull use of his kekkei genkai, managing to freeze not only the clone, but also managing to stop Yomi's assault, as one of her hands now was stuck solidly in the clone's gut. If it weren't for the fact that her armor had sufficient insulation to survive rather harsh weather conditions, she'd have frozen solid herself, but nonetheless she herself did think she was freezing, as there was no escaping the cold if it litterally surrounded someone. "Pulling one heck of a move there, Lord Mizukage," A grin appeared on her face, as she let the chakra flow in her body slow down back to normal, deciding that at this point, with one hand being stuck in the icicle which was only a water clone moments earlier, her Jigoku no Ken style was at a rather big disadvantage, as it usually did rely on the use of more than one hand. However, one of the most basic and most well known styles among taijutsu users did not and as such Yomi's grin had a reason.

Cocking back her arm, Yomi channeled but a minute amount of chakra into a single stretched out and straightened palm, before suddenly launching a swift thrust at the chest of the frozen clone with the intent of shattering it completely, fully intending to regain the use of both her hands and to remove this handicap which had been forced upon her by the Mizukage. "Surprise!!"

With her other hand now freed, she now was back to use everything at her disposal against the Mizukage, yet she was now more wary of his capabilities and as such, did not immediately attack, in stead opting to retreat with a single leap. She had made the first move and failed, so now Yomi decided to try and go for a more...careful approach.

Following Yomi’s change in movement and the destruction of the frozen water clone, Takeo brings his arms upright in an X formation, briefly taking the brunt of the series of ice chunks against his forearms. The brunette springs into action, darting up off of the ground and backpedaling in a manner similar to the female. He lowers his arms briefly, revealing a small smile prominent upon his face. “That isn't all.” Takeo calls out, and on cue, claps his hands together. The male strings through numerous handseals in quick succession, allowing chakra to swell up around his person as he shuts his eyes, keeping his focus on the Jounin with his senses just in case.

‘Overhaul!'

Heat starts to visibly emanate from his frame, with an orange, fire-textured glow beginning to flicker along his figure. Upon completion of the handseals, flames burst to life upon his forehead but remain unharming. The constantly flickering focal point of flames circulate throughout his body, speeding up the movement of chakra throughout him in a manner that Yomi was familiar with when it came to her own ability. At last, the male snaps his eyes open, revealing that his caramel gaze is now the fiery orange shade encompassing his lean form. With a deep inhale, Takeo eases into a rudimentary fighting style common among hand to hand combatants.

Assuming the Yuki goes uninterrupted, he rushes towards the female, making his advance towards her and starting off his method of attack with a jab aimed at her chest region.

It was not without a grin that Yomi watched as the Mizukage defended himself from the incoming shards of shattered ice, which were the result of her forceful escape from the frozen clone. However, there was no doubt about the fact that the jounin was not impressed by what followed suite, as flames came forth in a blaze, surrounding Takeo and culminating in a single, bright hot flame crowning him like some sort of glorious king of yore. Flexing her still thawing hand a bit, Yomi could not help herself but feel at the very least a bit intimidated by this rather regal sight. "A ruler of flames in the land of water," She thought to herself, truly seeing the irony in that idea.

With him rushing at her, the woman showed a rather diabolical smirk at the Mizukage. Yomi was probably the most proficient taijutsu user in Kirigakure, if not possible beyond the nation's borders. She owed it to herself to learn more than one style of combat, more than one style of taijutsu and was perhaps most notorious for the ease in which she could shift from one style to another as long as it suited her needs. Wether she faces someone with kenjutsu, ninjutsu or any other skill, she was confident enough that a great focus on taijutsu would no doubt effectively counter each and every skill as long as ample time was given to learn or create a new style.

However, as her hand was not yet fully thawed, switching to her most known and most infamous Jigoku no Ken style was a rather unexpected, but nonetheless necessary decision. Though for now she remained on the defensive with some more unorthodox techniques she had garnered and mastered over time. With her hands snugly in the pockets of her pants, her right leg swiftly shot upwards; with Yomi using the sole of her boot to catch and deflect Takeo's swift jab down to the ground, by forcing her leg back to the ground. "Try harder will you?"

As soon as her right leg would touch the ground again though, her left leg would instantly rise from its standstill position, aiming for the tip of Takeo's chin with the tip of her left boot. As long as Takeo held back, she'd simply revert to toying with him like she would with any opponent seemingly not taking her serious or too affraid of trying something stronger in fear of retaliation. "Where's that spunk and tenacity that you showed me two years ago...has being in office turned you into a rusty old goat?"

Takeo follows her movement to the best of his ability, though it's too quick for him to perceive first hand. All he can tell initially is that her leg had seemingly deflected his attack, and now she intended to go for a follow up that he did not intend to let happen so easily. Maintaining that mindset, the brunette promptly offers a rebuttal to the attack she delivers at breakneck speeds, with little to no delay after her parry using her foot.

As soon as her foot, Takeo makes an effort to try and throw his upper body backwards. Between his inability to perceive her movements clearly and that slight gap in the fluidity at which either of them could move their bodies, it was a difficult thing to pull off -- so he goes on the defensive. The attack still hits fairly well, a prominent lag time between its landing and him leaning back to evade it. It doesn't come without its own benefits, though, as there's still a small window for him to attack in, not to mention that he took the attack somewhat well for where it landed.

Katon-natured chakra surges to life within his other palm at this point, disregarding the other arm that was initially deflected and allowing him to throw his unimpeded one up at this point. The buildup of Katon chakra is promptly released as a massive cone of heat that explodes out in front of him, sweeping on towards the woman at close contact as Takeo himself stumbles backward from the brunt of her blow, being slightly pushed back from the sheer recoil of Burner. He was intent on trading an attack for one of his own, and it was nothing to take lightly even without being empowered by Overhaul or his natural affinity for the element he prided himself over.

Assuming he does succeed, the flame-wrapped Yuki promptly leaps back, distancing himself and rubbing his bruised chin. He answers her taunt eagerly.

"Right here."

She could see it, her opponent tilting backwards to avoid the swift upward kick, but with a grin on her face she could also see the tip of her boot sliding against his chin as well, yet in a mere instant, that same grin would vanish when a pillar of fire was blasted against her and blew her backwards. She had no time to properly defend against it, so her armor and her body took most of the brunt when all she could do was turn herself a slight bit to minimize the amount of frontal damage she'd take, dropping to the ground a few feet away coughing and sighing a bit for that lapse in judgment.

Even if the flames themselves weren't persay that damaging, they were still hot and her face which was basically the only part without protection took some serious burning, with her skin scorched slightly on one side and her hair shortened significantly. The only luck was that by turning away she managed to avoid getting hit in the eyes. Still, the eye closest to the heat was tearful and itchy from the dry heat it had so closely avoided. "Goddamned, that's why I hate fire..."

Making the handseals snake and ox, Yomi's entire body started to pump up again, at which point she pressed her thumbs against her legs a couple of times, gritting her teeth angrily as she looked at the Mizukage. "Time to ramp up this show," With her hands suddenly cupped together, Yomi instantly rushed towards her opponent like a bullet shot out of a gun, leaving the ground nearly torn open in her wake as she moved in to drive her fingers deep into Takeo's gut. "Fly..."

'Alright. Stop tensing yourself and relax your body.' The brunette muses, slowly relaxing his body as he manages to knock her away. Halting his intensified focus on his own bodily movements and more on his surroundings, the male watches as she skids backward, and prepares herself by amping up her chakra some more. He could tell that there was an increased flow of chakra to her legs, so at this point in time he narrows his gaze, lowering his body slightly and changing his own style.

The male briefly forms a single handseal, before he bends down and kicks off of the ground. In a prompt demonstration of bodily coordination, Takeo contorts himself in the midst of the air -- before channeling and then releasing katon-based chakra from his feet in the direction directly behind him. He propels himself at speeds similar to her own, if not at the exact same rate, practically launching himself at the woman with an outstretched arm, and a flattened palm. He attempts to take her attacks while trying to land his own right against her gut, intent on trading blows regardless of the dangers of direct contact.

All happened so fast, with the mizukage quickly repositioning himself and instantly turning on her to throw down this bout between them into the next level. He seemed to appropriately turn this clash between the two of them into a game of chicken and unlike most of her brethren shinobi, Yomi did not dislike this idea, so rather than stop or avoid the hit, she was pretty confident that the combination of her strong armor, pumped up defensive capabilities and offensive prowess would be enough to push forwards and not have a care in the world for what was coming at her.

She didn't flinch at all, receiving the incoming shatter palm with the grace and care of an incoming freight train, after all...there was no guard and no defense apart from her armor and physical self to even care about. "This'll hurt you more than me," She grinned when feeling her own fingers reach for Takeo's gut with all the force behind them and just as well feeling the Mizukage's palm press into her gut. Even if she would be able to resist it better than the Mizukage by all accounts, she could easily feel her gut reacting by convulsing when the shock of the shatter palm went through it, forcing her to gasp for air nonetheless.

Grabbing for her gut with one hand, she took a step back, heaving and wheezing as she tried to regain her bearings. "Well I think I just tasted what I ate this morning in a very different way than one would want."

Takeo takes the attack dead-on, immediately feeling the brunt of the force set in, especially the shock wave that rocks him through his core. He's undoubtedly tossed backwards from the brunt of the blow, feeling his bones rattle from the contact assumed. Judging by the searing sensation, the shock wave had definitely managed to crack, if not break at least two ribs, though he was hoping it was the former. Had it not been for his fortitude, he'd probably be a dead man, or just really battered.

It was safe to say though that they were practically even as far as damage taken, though having broken ribs just might be worse than burns. It takes the man a moment to actually gather his bearings (and his breath) after having the latter knocked out of him, still soaring backwards and being pummeled through numerous trees before he stabilizes his movement by arching his legs, pointing the soles of his feet downward.

In a quick burst of movement, the brunette thrusts out from the forestry around the clearing they're in, clapping his palms together and extending his arms out in front of him. More katon chakra is amassed in one fell swoop, and then sent firing down towards Yomi at breakneck speeds in the form of a twisting pair of blasts, shaped into an X. It doesn't aim to hit her directly, though -- instead it fires right on past her, not within Takeo's intentions but also something he could provide himself with a good follow-up for.

In one instant the fireball seems to perform a U-turn, slightly delayed in comparison to its former movement. Once it was back on its intended path, Takeo arches his legs again, pointing them above himself and sending him thrusting down towards the ground, landing in front of her and allowing the flames at his feet, as well as the flame at the base of his forehead to fizzle out. For the most part, it looked as though he was surrendering, but he hints at his next move as he brings his hand to his abdomen, huffing faintly but still standing erect and resolute in continuing to spar as the spiraling fireball homes in on its target.

"Better watch out."

Looking up, Yomi noticed that her own assault had indeed left a larger mark on her opponent than he had left upon her. Wether it was because she was actually wearing a more combat orientated attire or because she was simply the one taking the lesser attack in the exchange, she was still quite pleased with the results. With threes toppling and breaking as the Mizukage passed through part of the murky forest surrounding the area they had chosen for their spar, Yomi could only smile contently. Even if this wasn't yet a win against the man who now sat upon the Mist's favoured top position, she still regarded the exchange and clash of wills as a form of proof of her undeniable superiority within Kirigakure's top brass jounin.

However, no matter how hard she had managed to hit him, Takeo was still the Mizukage and Yomi had let him take that position for a reason: because she knew that if anyone in Kirigakure of her own generation was able to beat her or at least force her to her limits, it would've been him. With those thoughts in mind, he didn't seem to disappoint on those ideas, bursting out of the forest, back into the clearing like a fiery inferno. Flames seemed to burst into the air towards Yomi, only missing her by a hair's width and allowing her to only feel the scorching heat as the blast passed her by. "Heh," She let out a sigh, looking ready to intercept whatever the Mizukage seemed to have planned as he landed straight in front of her, his flames going out all over his body, seemingly either surrendering or running in short supply of chakra and stamina. Yet his words forced her to remember the blast from earlier and as she turned around it was nearly too late to actually dodge the damn thing, so she instinctively snapped her fingers, cutting off the fireblast in it's path and forcing her to take a step back slightly dazed, obviously with her back towards Takeo and thus completely open to him...

'So glad this woman isn't a sensor.'

He stands up straight from the very moment she turns around, and brings his palms together, forming the Snake handseal and inhaling deep. Water-natured chakra builds up within him and in one fell swoop, it sweeps on forward, spilling out as one mass of liquid. He didn't plan on using it to sweep her away, though, because that would just end up causing damage to the surrounding area. Instead, it's a coverage for him. In one fell swoop, Takeo darts off of the ground, forming numerous handseals.

In one instant, a gust of wind-natured chakra sends the male thrusting downwards in one fell swoop, sending him collapsing down upon her. This isn't without an action in mind following that, though -- because his palm is outstretched. Should he succeed, he ends up slamming his palm directly into the same vicinity he struck her before -- only against her chest this time around. If he does connect(?), she'd notice he's visibly huffing -- possibly from pain as he makes an attempt to pin her to the ground upon her back from the force.

"You did quite well but..."

The wave of water approaching both of them now interrupts him, causing the area around him to rapidly lower in temperature in one fell swoop. In a sudden emergence, a dome of ice encases both of them, with the water collapsing against the side of it but otherwise not breaking through. Still keeping his palm pinned against her, he peers down at her, finishing his sentence.

"...In a real battle, never expect a fight to be over just because it looks like it is." He remarks, then can't help but emit a stifled chuckle, and retract his hand. He follows those words eagerly, because he's quick to hop back, distancing himself and dropping the briefly formed dome of ice. As soon as the water starts to descend upon them once more, he extends his hand out, flash-freezing it in one fell swoop and crystallizing water vapor in his nearby surroundings. He keeps his senses on her in the meantime.

"I can't lie -- you've improved a lot over these past two years. A few messed up ribs was worth getting the chance to have a little fight." He remarks, then coughs up a bit of blood. He might've been trying to look tough at this point.

Yomi stood with her back towards Takeo, but this didn't mean she was blind, deaf or dumb. Sure, she wasn't the most perceptive among her peers, but from this range, not much of the man's movements could be called a surprise at all. The fact that he seemed to mistake this battle hardened jounin for some rookie genin was at best to be called a mistake. Had he forgotten who stood atop his jounin, who had fought him before on even standing with little to no effort?

It seemed he had forgotten and this mistake would not be taken kindly by the kirigakure jounin, for as he pressed to make his move, with raging waters sloshing and stirring about, the woman simply snapped her fingers with an invisible and even stronger barrier than before cutting into the water wave's path, keeping her safe from harm as the water envelopped the field. As she turned around, she kept an eye on her opponent.

"Should've been more careful with your assault," The Kirigakure jounin laughed, suddenly shifting out of the way to avoid the palm coming her way by simply taking a step aside, following this with a rapid flurry of punches aimed into his direction, with the intent of smacking him straight into the ground with great force. "You're the Mizukage..., but I'm the Monster."

Knowing fully well the water was crashing down, Yomi simply wanted to see wether or not Takeo would stop the water or take the brunt of it alongside his opponent. Another game of chicken, perhaps?

"No need to." Takeo responds, fairly aware of his surroundings and still able to comprehend his positioning. Instead of shifting his body in the air to avoid the nosedive though, the brunette simply keeps his palm outstretched, all while inhaling deep and ignoring the sharp pain that followed. Wind-natured chakra finds itself circulating throughout his person as he slams his palm flat against the surface of the ground, forming numerous cracks in it before ultimately caving it in from the sheer force.

With a twist of his frame at last the Yuki unleashes a blast of wind-natured chakra from his maw, easily the size of a beach ball. The compressed air attack is intended to slam directly into any given part of her body -- whether it's one of the fists she's attacking with or her physique directly. Either way, the man intends to push off of the ground with a singular palm, springing away from her while the attack is enacted. With a brief twist forward of his lower body he brings his foot in contact with the ground, giving him the brief leverage he needed to push off some more.

The tidal wave progresses on towards the two of them regardless, most likely catching his lower legs at most, but threatening to completely engulf Yomi herself. While the blast of wind was faster than norm, it didn't pose as much strength, so there wasn't much risk in it knocking her out of range -- but just in case, Takeo forms the Tiger handseal while within the air. Water vapor compresses it down into a single mass directly in the Halcyon's blind spot behind her, and lunges forward to extend both arms out, intent on yanking both of hers back in the brief moment before the wave makes contact.

Whether the clone does succeed, it's yet another distraction to something more as Takeo forms four handseals. She'd definitely notice the sharp drop in temperature, and the sudden solidification of whatever water that's actually made contact. In one fell swoop, both the wave and clone solidify, threatening to encase her if she hadn't escaped from the former, and threatening to keep her from breaking out if she hadn't avoided the latter's actions.

Either way, Takeo takes this time to keep a good watch on her and her reservoir, while noting how his own was doing. "If long range Ninjutsu just makes you use Fuuinjutsu, then I'll use Ninjutsu at short range where you have no choice but to take it head-on." He calls out.

Her punches seemed to connect superbly, making the woman smile faintly. However, she wasn't stupid, far from it even. She knew deep down that if both of them were to truly go all out, this fight would become less amusing and more dangerous. Takeo was the Mizukage not only because she had allowed him to be, but because in the end, he was someone who could actually very well stand at the top of Kirigakure. He had the versatility and drive to be a kage, something she herself lacked and had commended him for years ago.

Her reaction came a smidge too late, as her arms crossed in front of her, she could already feel the pouncing wind smash against her gut, her armor holding out pretty good, but not good enough to actually absorb the shock after having already been dealt a hard blow by the shatter palm earlier. The wind took Yomi along for the ride for a few feet, before she managed to utterly smash the air asunder with her terrible might. Alas, in the confusion and struggle with the blow, she had not managed to keep an eye out for Takeo. As such, she couldn't see what was going on, she could only hear the tidal wave of water coming down and just as she wanted to slam her hands together to form herself some seals, she could feel something grab hold of her arms in a desperate attempt to keep her put. Mere instants turned into centuries worth of processing, the jounin's mind trying to figure something out. She could take the brunt of the tidal wave, but no doubt it would be at great cost, nothing less than a few broken bones was to be expected from this onslaught.

Having no other option than to take the brunt, Yomi at the very least decided to preemptively allow her body to be dowsed with medically enhanced chakra, which would be used to actively combat both the brunt of the tidal wave's force and the damaging effects of the suddenly dropping temperatures. Using her own superior strength to break free from the clone, she only managed to form together a few handsigns before being encased in ice...

Takeo finds his feet mostly encased in the ice once it's fully formed, but his efforts seem to have succeeded to say in the least. Huffing a bit from using nearly half of his chakra reservoir, he brings that extent of chakra usage past that as he tenses his hand into a knuckle-whitening fist, engaging in the Arhat Style once more. The male proceeds to , draw in frozen water particles to encase his fist. Once he's coated it, the man thrusts his arm downward, slamming his ice-encased fist directly into the tidal wave of ice.

The sheer force of the attack causes the entirety of the gathering of ice to shatter, including the ice encasing Yomi. With himself and her freed, the man descends from a short drop and heats up his ice-coated fist, melting away all of the ice encasing it. The brunette simply looks at the female from head to toe for now, still keeping a good watch on her reservoir at that point in time to ensure she wasn't going to pull a fast one.

"Doing alright?" He asks with a small wince, mostly making sure some of that didn't manage to perviate her armor and deal too much damage. Though he could tell she was healing herself, so it was safe to say she'd be alright. He couldn't say the same for himself though, judging by that pinching, somewhat-searing pain in his torso. He needed to build up some natural resilience at some point. While his arsenal was impressive, he was still lacking physically. Probably because of how much time he invested into learning his clan's kekkei genkai.

She wasn't sure if he had noticed it, but as Yomi looked at Takeo suddenly covering his own fist in ice, her eyes shot into his direction, making it more or less obvious that she was in fact not frozen solid as one might've thought. The beauty of the Yin Healing Wound Destruction Technique, was not as most people thought in the fact that it allowed the user to take on heavy brunts of damage and continue, but to continuously combat smaller, longer lasting effects such as frostbite and burning. He medical chakra wasn't exactly heating her up, she was still friggin cold and her bloodflow was slowing down tremendously, yet there was hardly any damage caused by the actual freezing as it simply wasn't allowed to go past the horn-layer of her skin, essentially only allowing the dead layer of skin to be frozen.

If she had any time or reason to surprise an enemy, it would've been right when the Mizukage smashed the ice and though she staggered when reaching solid ground again, the higher temperature effectively making her blood pump faster and more actively again, the jounin decided not to go forth with this. Against all odds, he had managed to push her to such extremes that she simply felt a feeling of contentment and elation, the thrill of combat, of trying to seek out one's strengths and weaknesses. He had won, even if she was capable of dishing out more damage and perhaps even outlast the Mizukage in an actual fight, the man had shown great growth.

"I'm fine, I'm fine..." Yomi let out a deep sigh as she sunk to her knees, just to really take a breather and allow her stressed out body to recuperate a bit, even if she came out pretty unscathed on the outside, she wasn't completely undamaged. The left side of her face had been scorched and had actually slightly worsened in condition exactly because of the ice which encased her, not to mention the obvious strain on the muscles in her chest and upper gut, with probably one or two of her floating ribs bruised due to the impact of the Mizukage's earlier palm."Ok..."

Getting up again, the woman allowed her regenerative jutsu to heal up the majority of her superficial wounds, deciding that the bruising and straining were part of the whole deal after all. However, seeing Takeo wince, she immediately knew he needed some decent first aid. His ribs had obviously cracked, most likely due to the same reason half her gut felt like it had been mangled in an axe grinder. "Pull up your shirt, if we can at least set and minimally reduce the fracture, you'd only be looking at a simple hospital check up, some cold packs and a lot of strain for a couple of weeks," With that she'd simply wait for him to remove everything away from the place where he'd have his fractured ribs so she could use the Mystical Palm technique on the sore spot to alleviate a majority of the pain and potential issues. Though obviously at the edge of her limits, with some rest and a good shower, she'd be ready to go again.

The brunette Yuki continues looking at the woman, assessing the damage dealt to the left side of her face with a guilty grimace making itself apparent upon his worn expression. He slowly strides on towards the female, mostly trying to level his breathing out despite the damage dealt to him. Flames burst to life within his left palm, emanating in close proximity to her just to heat her body up slowly but surely, without the chance of frostbite. "My bad." Takeo mutters faintly.

He disperses the flames by the time she's finished up essentially healing off most of the damage, at which point he undos the buttons upon the overcoat of his suit. Takeo repeats the same process with his dress shirt and parts either side of it, allowing her to view his torso accordingly. Sure enough, there was some nasty bruising near where he was feeling the pain, but he was bearing with it for the most part. This was one of the times he was relieved to have some decent natural resilience of his own.

He could already tell with the application of Medical Ninjutsu that the pain was beginning to be alleviated and some of the damage was beginning to be repaired. "I noticed you've had a store around for quite some time now. There might be a few things I'm interested in setting up, a few of which are for the village's sake and one of which is a more personal request. Think you're up for it? After all, your crafting ability is the only thing I haven't seen how seasoned you're at yet." He intended to assess one more of her talents before going forward with any other things he had in store for her.

Feeling the heat of his flames was a welcoming show of comradery, but it also showed that the Mizukage wasn't all that bad of a character. Sure, Yomi couldn't deny that she always prefered the strong, unrelenting and ruthless characters as those who stood at the top; herself included ofcourse, but she couldn't deny that Takeo's added flair and feel for responsibility did give him an edge she had overlooked. She was really starting to like this guy, his manners, his ingenuity, all in all he formed the antithesis of Tetsudashi Ken. They were both powerful, but where one was direct and straightforward, the other was subtle, knew how to get around hurdles and was willing to formulate new plans when old ones failed. "You did a great job, utilizing probably my greatest flaw to secure a win through my blind spots, you've certainly grown...Takeo," Retracting her own hands to look at her work on the Mizukage's ribs, Yomi motioned the man to cover himself up again. "Ok, that's going to heal nicely with some rest...just don't try to do any ridiculous stuff for at least a few days."

Just as she got back up and was trying to get the dust, dirt and residual shards of halfmolten ice from her, the Mizukage mentioned her having a store and how he hadn't seen her crafting skill just yet. This ofcourse made her laugh loudly, raising her hand to cover her eyes for a moment, before her free hand formed into a fist with the thumb sticking out. She pressed her thumb against the armor she was wearing and grinned."What do you think this is, Takeo? It held up pretty nice, maybe needs some cleaning and buffing, but it'll be fine for any new round...this entire armor with some extra additions could be mass produced if you'd need me to. Though I think for your particular style, something more...classy might be more fitting, no?"

The brunette peers at the woman silently, observing as she treated his wound. As the pain slowly goes away, so does the sign of bruising in alignment with his rib. In spite of her seemingly-brutish attitude in the midst of fighting, she is still a talented medic. After all, her pressure point knowledge is fundamental in that unique, chakra-imbued fighting style of hers that seems to increase her chakra flow. It's inspiring in a way, both the technicalities behind it and the power it grants, but he wants to make his own style to rely on and fight with.

While he's extremely mature as far as persona and responsibilities go, he still has a long way to go when it comes to his physical capabilities. This was one way to do it -- and it's been successful. As the female praises him for how much he's come along, Takeo offers a small, relaxed smile, and lowers his clothing. He offers an acknowledging nod to the woman's statement regarding the case of his injury. He buttons his shirt back up, followed by the coat, watching as the woman points at her armor.

It was indeed above market quality, and seemed to hold up against a majority of his ninjutsu-based assault. Needless to say, it was extremely impressive -- and as the female offers to make him a little something, he actually considers it. "That would be great as well, though there's something else I'm interested in. Could you work on making a pair of gloves? Something made of probably Ebony for the palm area and... something like Steel, if not stronger, for the fingers, the wrist area, and a circular part upon the center of each back palm. I was thinking that circular bit could have a I engraved into it, if that isn't too much work." Takeo specifies.

"And if you want, a little extra thrown in could help too. Maybe something that compliments my Katon Nintaijutsu." He hints, then goes ahead and says something else with some gratuity before he forgets to. "Also -- thank you. For the treatment and for this fight. I still have a long way to go before I can protect this village to the best of my ability, and I can't afford to go easy on honing myself to be able to carry out that duty."

"So I don't plan on stopping until I've risen beyond their levels -- Nikuyo's and Ayame's." Ayame had died to his own subordinate and that very subordinate had ditched Kirigakure after going missing in his hospital room. Takeo had to do better than both -- he desired to be the first to succeed at his job, without making enemies of his own shinobi in the process. That was the meaning behind the symbol he'd bear upon those gloves; being number one.

Yomi listened carefully to the Mizukage's requests, his request was rather intricate, expensive, but all in all did have some merrit to it. Making a unique pair of gloves for someone of his caliber wouldn't be bad at all, in fact being the person to craft the armor and thus provide the strength of someone who was supposed to lead a village wasn't a bad thing. "Very well, I might be able to make you something...interesting," Yomi grinned, cracking her neck as she twisted her head from left to right. However, within a matter of an instant her hair had turned white, her eyes had gone from dull gray to icy blue and as she opened her mouth ever so slightly, it was obvious that her fangs had sharpened and become more pronounced.

"Becoming the number one...is a very nice and interesting ideal for a Mizukage to have," With her lips curling even higher, bearing her fangs completely, Yomi looked at the Takeo with a glint in her cold, blue eyes. "Though I have to say that it's sad that there can only be one to take that spot. So who will it be, the Mizukage or the Monster?"

Letting the strain flow away from her physical self, Yomi sighed deeply when her hair turned black again and her eyes reverted to the usual gray. "I'll make you something we can both be proud of, after all...there aren't many in Kirigakure who could actually entertain me like you do...takeo-kun."

With that being said, Yomi went to grab her trench coat, swung it over her shoulder andd started walking away. "It'll take quite some time to make you what you want, but when it's finished...I'll come and see you personally."

The brunette listens to her words after he's asked for his request. Relieved that she had accepted the request, he's a little eager to see that he'll have some equipment of his own soon. Suits were nice and all but he wanted something that would assist him in more ways than just looking sharp, and the woman seemed intent on helping him with that. As her hair and irises alike switch in color, Takeo peers at her, listening to what she had to say about the number one spot. Simply smirking with a hint of confidence. He had a taijutsu style of his own in mind, though he'd have to dabble with it for quite a bit before it became anything final.

Needless to say though, he intends to be number one in his village, and such a sentiment's probably palpable from the man. There'd be no guarantee he could defend this place at least until he could pass it on if he was anything other than number one. It was the only route he felt he could take as the village's current Mizukage. As the female insists that she'll make something up to par with both of their tastes and that she'll come to see him when she's done with it, he offers an acknowledging nod.

"Right, keep up the good work until then. Also, we'll just have to wait and see, though it's clear I'll have to develop a little something for myself to keep up." Takeo hints, turning on his heel as well. The man strolls off with a new stride in his step, reflecting upon what he'd have to do to take such a spot for his own.
