Volunteer Work For a Ninja [Mission] Empty Volunteer Work For a Ninja [Mission]

    Mission Name: Dog Grooming Service
    Mission Type: Chore
    Mission Rank: D
Mission Goal: Help to wash and groom the dogs.
Description: The 'Happy Puppy' Dog Groomers are overwhelmed due to overbooking and lack of staff. The manager is requesting urgent aid for a shinobi or team of shinobi to lend a hand and held out for the day.
    Payment: 10,000 Ryo
    Requirements: Genin+

Taiga was indifferent about animals. They were cute and cuddly but required some bit of maintenance to them. She could never see herself raising an animal of her own given the amount of dedication you needed to raise them correctly. Taiga barely had time for herself nowadays with all of her training she needed to grow into a real ninja. But today was going to test if she really liked animals as much as she thought. She was assigned a mission to help a local store with grooming dogs. Taiga was unsure how this tied in with her duties as a ninja. It was hard to believe the village accepted it as a mission offer. They were expending useful ninja doing mindless chores. Although she wasn't strong she was definitely capable.

She wore her regular outfit though decided not to carry any weapons since she was going to be working in a store washing dogs. The only weapons she did carry were low profile and light letting them be easily concealed in her clothes and body. She wore two of her kakute on each hand on her middle and ring fingers with the spikes facing inwards. They would look like regular iron rings on the outside but packed a nasty surprise. She carried three shuriken in each of her sleeves and a kunai between her sash around the back side. Taiga generally preferred to carry something for general protection. When doing real work she liked to carry the rest of her gear, but she was comfortable enough in her mind to know she most likely wasn't going to get stabbed while washing dogs. She was expecting help with her mission so she waited outside the front door for that person to show up.

"Well I certainly didn't think I would end up back here. But I suppose it can't be helped." A tall man of bronze skin wearing a simple grey short sleeved shirt with a pair of dark green cargo shorts. The soles of his feet appear to be callused to the point where Mistral doesn't feel the sharp rocks or at least appears to be unfazed by them given that he's barefoot. Wrapped around his neck is a Konohagakure headband with the steel plate facing forward. Mainly to offer protection around the neck from any unsuspecting blades that somehow finds their way to his neck.

This time Mistral was tasked to help another friendly Genin with this chore. Considering that he's done it once before the people at this grooming place already knew Mistral. He appeared to have no weapons or even armor on him. Not that Mistral needed such things within a place meant for grooming dogs, but also because Mistral has yet to buy his tools yet since they can get expensive. Mainly the bombs and medicine in particular. With his hands in his pockets, the young man with the silver long hair approaches the building when he noticed that there was someone waiting outside. Granted there were multiple people out here considering that this was one of the main streets for trade and travel. This person appeared to be feminine with long sleeved shirt with a bell-shaped sleeves. A sash wrapped around her waist that reminds Mistral of a kimono of sorts. Her green hair though certainly stands out since he can't even recall anyone with that hair color.

"I take it you are the other Genin that I'm helping?" Mistral's smoky voice inquired as he waved his hand to catch her attention while approaching her. He didn't want to make it look like he was sneaking up on her.

The village was busy enough for Taiga not to be bothered with keeping track of everyone who walked by. She figured there wasn't a variety of customers who entered a dog grooming place. The younger patrons would likely be the kind who were Genin and to aid her on her mission. Sure enough the voice who called out to her was exactly the type of guy to fit the bill. A young man with a flamboyant appearance, yet a cool and nonchalant personality. He was built like any other Genin: average. It was expected as the Academy rarely had any individuals who chose to specialize in a particular field upon graduation. A lot of Genin lacked that direction to know what they wanted to be and what they were good at.

"Yes I am. Taiga Amari. Let's get to work."

Taiga said nonchalantly, showing no sign of enthusiasm, urgency, or mood to what she may be feeling. She didn't give a lot to work with in terms of warming up, but that was just the kind of person she was. She was not easy to befriend and she preferred it that way. The job she worked was better handled if she had less ties to worry about. Turning to the door she'd turn the knob and enter the establishment leaving the door open for Mistral to follow behind. She'd let go of the door knob hoping her partner knew how to close the door behind himself.

Mistral's eyebrow raised in question. He has never heard of her, so Mistral assumes either she's a new graduate or just taken the low profile route. Mistral himself has been out of it for a couple of months now after his older brother, Hideki, passed away. In a sense he needed some time to grieve as they were close as brothers and were rivals even. Yet Mistral never got the chance to prove that he's better than Hideki who was better at just about everything.

"Interesting, name's Mistral Senju. Nice to meet…" That's when Taiga turned towards the door and entered the building. His voice dropping to barely a whisper. "...you." Still Mistral walked in behind Taiga and immediately he recognized the two familiar faces in this establishment. To whom Mistral flashed a grin as he waved at them. The lobby was cozy and yet small. However even from here they could see some of the dogs that are being trimmed and brushed by two individuals. One was a young blonde man that went by the name of Choko Vanders. Son of the Vanders family which happens to be one of the lesser nobles in Konoha. The second was a brunette female that went by the name of Katrina Sun. Both wore similar clothing of short sleeved black shirt with a pair of brown shorts. They were inside the grooming area when they hear the chime of the bell from the front door. Both looked up, and while Choko flashed a dazzling smile. Katrina shoots a piercing glare directly at Mistral.

"Ah, there you two are. I was beginning to wonder if we'll be by ourselves." Choko jest as he puts down the scissors and brush to come greet the two newcomers. Upon seeing Mistral, Choko extended a hand to which Mistral accepted with a handshake.

"it's good to see you again Mistral."

"Same, and i see some things never change as well." Mistral gestured with a lift of his chin towards Katrina. Choko chuckled as he didn't deny nor agree with him. Still Choko turned his attention back to Taiga to which he begins giving a rundown of how things work.

"My name is Choko Vanders, and today I'll have you guys mainly bathe and groom a few dogs today. We're giving you each 4 dogs to get clean, and remove any matts that you can find. Also be mindful of their claws as one of the Chihuahuas has a nasty claw curled into his paw. Both of you will be required to get that fixed and bandage it please. Other than that, any questions on what to do?"

When the door opened a small bell chimed alerting those within the building that more patrons arrived, or in this case, part-time employees. Mistral was familiar with one of the owners sharing some sort of background. Maybe he was a frequent patron on his own time? Taiga could see Mistral owning some dogs of his own. Or perhaps this was not his first time working here? The latter was unlikely. She imagined the shop would have to be run by poor management for them to have to emergency hire ninja to do dog work. Seeing as she was paid ten-thousand ryo alone to do this gave the impression her partner would be getting roughly the same, and the village a portion as well. It seemed cheaper to hire more employees, but that was just her input.

The mission was self-explanatory. They were each getting four dogs to work on. This included a thorough bath and trimming. There was also a Chihuahua whom somehow managed to get its own claw stuck in its pawn. She was partially surprised they didn't enforce the Chihuahua as more urgent. She couldn't imagine each of them taking their time with their four dogs as the other one suffered from its injuries. It could end up infected that way.

"That won't be necessary." She didn't want to waste anymore time hearing how to accomplish such a menial task. "Mistral," Taiga turned to face her partner, "We should work on the Chihuahua first." Taiga didn't bring her own medical supplies, but she hoped the store would keep a stock somewhere. She would try to navigate the walls for a first-aid box only to be unsuccessful. "I'm going to check the backroom. Find the Chihuahua and get it ready."

[OOC: Sorry bud, but I have other places to be :p ]

Taiga wasted no time doing her job and taking care of what she needed to do. Mistral stood around doing nothing as expected given his long silence following her first request. It was fine by her. Dogs were dogs. After taking care of the small doggy the others weren't much trouble. She just had to scrub them down and rinse them off. In enough time they were all cleaned off and she smelled of wet dog. But that was small considering she got a bit of money in exchange and learned how to wrap bandage wrap.
