Showing the Genin how,s it done

The day was bright and zenaku was having to squint his eyes in order to keep the sun from blinding him. Today was a fine day cause today zenaku had a mission at the academy, his mission was to help motivate the up and coming genin at the place. Supposedly the young wonna be ninjas was not putting in a enough effort so he and one other was sent in to try and help.

Speaking of one other that was zenaku was doing now, he was supposed to go and meet his partner for the mission at the academy gates but when he arrived he did not see any one there. He was not to worried about it so he sat down Indian style, he crossed his arms and closed his eyes as he waited for his partner to show up.

Taiga was up a bit earlier than usual. Particularly because she was given a special mission which was unlike the others she had been doing. It appeared she was developing at a fast rate. So fast that the administration noticed her growth and decided to put her attributes to better use. To Taiga this was big news. She was not narcissistic when completing other D-rank missions, though she found the menial labor not entirely beneficial to her or any ninja in general. She questioned why ninja even ran chores in the first place, as a laborer would be much cheaper and even more experience. Regardless, those missions helped her pay off her debt which was still quite large all things considered, but at least a third was paid off and she was proud of that much.

In her room she'd swap out her comfy pajamas for a less comfy set of outdoor clothing. She wore her sandals, tight fitted pants, and t-shirt today which were all black in color. Underneath her t-shirt she wore a mail shirt serving as the only bit of armor she had. She wore a utility belt which carried the bulk of her gear. She had two holsters on either side of her and a pouch around her back side towards the right. On the left side around the back was where she stashed her tanto in its scabbard. Across her body she wore a baldric which carried her wooden staff which served as her primary weapon. On both hands she wore two iron kakute rings, one of her middle finger and the other on her index finger. The spikes were facing inwards to appear as normal rings. Upon closer inspection the spikes had a metallic green tint to them suggesting they were laced with something. This was her basic gear she carried at all times. She saved her sickles for serious confrontations. But today she felt would be relatively easy and didn't need to intimidate anybody by being armed to the teeth.

In a jiffy she was ready to start her day. After a quick breakfast she'd leave her home and take the road to the academy where her mission was set. She'd arrive ten minutes early to ensure she knew where to go. With little effort she found her way around the other side of the building where a chain link marked the perimeter around the outside training area which had a track field for running, a small lot for dueling, and other training equipment fit for small time practice. From this training area it also had a secondary entrance to the academy. Taiga saw what she could only presume was her partner. Either that or a homeless man. He seemed older. Too old to be a Genin by her standards. From her perspective it looked like he was meditating just outside the gate entrance. So either way she had to deal with him.

"Hello. Are you my mission partner for today? I am Taiga Amari." She spoke with the same nonchalant sincerity she did to anybody she met, displaying a neutral first impression and not being enthused nor repulsed. She treated all strangers with the same opportunity to do right. It was only a matter of them acting on it. But that didn't mean she would let her guard down.

The day was looking to become a good one as the weather was warming up and the nice breeze blowing threw town was making him want to fall asleep. As he was about to doze off he looked up to see a young woman standing before him and he could tell that she was a true ninja in every sense of the word. Zenaku stood up from where he was setting and he brushed his self off of any dust as he stretched his arm out to offer his hand in a hand shake. " It would seem so miss Taiga Amari, I'm zenaku Uchiha and I'm glad to be working with you on this mission. So if I may ask how would you like to go about motivating these young student cause I do not wish to step on toes so I would rather have a game plan before going in." Zenaku would ask her as he smiled.

Taiga hide skillfully among the disguise of pleasantries, though little did this man know that she was ready to react at a moment's notice. She was naturally cautious at all times in public. It was something she was born with. A natural sense of awareness. Some would consider her paranoid, but to her she could only be comfortable by knowing her environment. As the rose up from his meditation form he offered a hand to shake.

Taiga knew better than to accept his offer as that would result in an unpleasant surprise for him. Instead Taiga bowed in response serving as a more formal greeting which may come off as strange between two young peers, but it was the best she had to work with. He introduced himself as Zenaku Uchiha. Taiga was partially familiar with the Uchiha clan. She knew of their capabilities and their history. She was curious if his Sharingan has developed, or if he was as truly mediocre as she assumed at first glance. It was merely out of her own nosy habit and not out of disrespect. She could honestly care little about his goals or career progress as a ninja. All she knew was that she had to work with him for today.

When Taiga read the mission details she had a completely different view on "motivation." She wasn't the coaching type nor was she willing to pretend to be one. It would be inefficient to act like someone she wasn't.

"Discipline." She stated bluntly before following up with further details. "Fear is one of the best motivators. These students are poorly disciplined for whatever reason. I intend to use my quarterstaff to beat the worst ones into shape. Hopefully the others understand the message."

Although Taiga was confident in her method she was open to other suggestions or to hear with Zengaku originally had planned. "What did you have in mind? I hope that is what you were thinking about before I arrived."

Zenaku could understand why most people did not shake hands so when she bowed to zenaku he retracted his hand as he bowed back to her. He listened to what she had on her mind tho he did not agree 100% with her method so zenaku thought of a better idea which he could Incorporate with her,s so that they could each get a message to these young boys and girls with out wanting them to run away from being ninja.

So when she asked him what he thought on it and if he had any ideas he thought of something that might be interesting for them.

" I agree that discipline is a fundamental factor for ninja but if we just go in there beating the kids up all that's gonna do is scare them off so if you don't have a problem with the idea how about we give our self's up as the test subjects. Being able to see taijutsu done on others is a better show then them not being able to remember plus seeing cool jutsu preformed is a good motivator also. But this is just a suggestion so what do you think."

Zenaku was not the smartest person so he was mostly going off what sounded cool to him if he was still in the academy which he still was until just a few years ago.

Taiga could tell her suggestion didn't sit well with him. His body language led her to believe he had something else in mind. She'd listen to his concerns as she felt he did not quite understand what she was suggesting. She never intended to pulverize the students. They would be taking a step too far and she could be charged with some nasty crimes. When she heard the term 'test subjects' her eyebrows scrunched with one raising as she appeared almost insulted by the terms he used. Taiga was uncertain if putting on a demonstration would actually motivate these kids or make them look like a fool.

"Test subjects? We are supposed to be authority figures for these students, not dogs putting on a show." Taiga did not want to completely shut down his suggestion, but it was something she did not agree with. And she was certain Zenaku felt the same with her authoritarian method. But there had to be a compromise somewhere, and she figured it out in a split second. "Let's do both. I'll help you put on your little show for these students. If I catch any of them not taking the presentation serious, they'll be physically disciplined. Does that sound fair?"

She wasn't fond of compromises since she felt the presentation being a huge waste of time, but she wanted to at least establish some authority and strike some fear into the student's hearts. They had to understand that being a ninja was something that had to be taken seriously. Taiga remained before her partner and was unwilling to continue unless he agreed or they established some sort of compromise.

Zenaku could tell that what he said caught a nerve of twigs but then she came up with a good plan that he thought sounded fair and good.

" that sounds good with me, I'm just glad we could find a way that suits both our styles of doing things."

Zenaku said as he smiled with his eyes closed. Now came the fun part which was trying to get these kids wanting to become ninja, so zenaku walked in to the academy with his mission partner probably behind him. As he got to the area where the kids was he could see they was all sitting in a line formation.

" hello kids my name is zenaku uchiha and beside me is taiga, today we shall be demonstrating what it's like to be a real ninja. Now first off who can name off the three major things that ninja learn in order to go in to combat."

Zenaku knew that this was simple stuff but he just wanted to see who was listening in class.

" ninjutsu, taijutsu and lastly genjutsu."

Zenaku looked over to the kid who said that and was glad that they was at least paying attention.

" that is correct, now taiga is there any thing you would like to say to the class before we start."

Zenaku asked cause he did not wish to make it seem like he was taking the whole thing g over.

Taiga nodded at Zenaku's approval. It's not that she felt the urge to beat those weaker than her. But there had to be some authority presence in the room for the kids to take them seriously. If the students misbehaved in front of them she felt it was their responsibility to be hard on them. Zenaku would open the gate to the courtyard where Taiga followed behind him. They'd head straight to the main doors and open them to a gymnasium area where the kids were already lined up waiting for their presentation. Her partner and herself stood before them as he began to speak. While speaking Taiga would raise her hands together and form a unique hand sign for the Shadow Clone Technique. The completion of the hand sign would mold her chakra for the technique. Besides her she would spawn an exact replica of herself. The clone of Taiga would make herself around the gym reaching to her back and retrieving the quarterstaff. Standing in the center of the students behind their line formation the clone would remain dormant yet vigilant of the students. Her eyes would scan the crowd and ears kept sharp for chattering. She would make sure there were no disturbances during their presentation.

Zenaku gave Taiga the floor to speak before they moved onto their little show. The real version of Taiga was paying attention to entire time so her response was not delayed. "We expect all of you to take this demonstration seriously. Any misbehavior would be dealt with by my copy. So enjoy the show." Taiga had no more to offer, so she would turn her head to Zenaku and speak. "So what did you want to do first?"

As zenaku was speaking to the class he noticed that taiga had went and made a clone using the shadow clone jutsu. This clone would go behind the students as she was keeping a watchful eye and ear to make sure that they was actually paying attention.

Zenaku listened to what she said but she did not speak long as she turned back to zenaku and asked him what they should do. " I know how about we demonstrate some of our jutsu for the kids to see then test them on there knowledge. Sense they already saw your clone jutsu it's time they saw a element." Zenaku said as he took a stance before he began to build up his chakra. Once he was ready zenaku did the hand signs then called out the jutsu in his mind so he would not ruin the test. " Water style water bullet jutsu." Zenaku opened his mouth as he fired a large ball of water about the size of a basketball at the stone wall, he did not use enough force behind the attack to damage the wall but just enough to empress the kids. " ok kids so what jutsu was that."

" I'm not sure but I know it's a water style jutsu."

" that is correct you at least got points for knowing its element. Ok taiga your next." Zenaku would say as he turned it over to his partner.

Zenaku told her they were to demonstrate Ninjutsu which she initially found odd why they would do this indoors. It was difficult for her considering she had the Earth element. This meant her technique generally changed the environment greatly and doing that inside a building risked messing with the foundation. There was one technique she had that, although not super flashy, could represent the Earth element quite well. Jin focused his chakra and executed his water technique. It was a ball of condensed water that moved fast. It served as a basic water attack, and despite its simplicity she could tell it had the potential to blow her over like a bowling pin.

But it was for reasons such as the water technique that Earth came into play. Earth was stronger against Water regarding Ninjutsu. Water broke against the Earth's surface a made the attack nothing more than a splash of water. When it was her turn she'd give a brief explanation.

"That was the Water Style Gunshot technique. It has been recorded to move at speeds up to 45 meters per second, and even 60 meters per second when used aerially. So despite being a low ranking technique it has the ability to do serious damage. The best counter to Water release is Earth release. With this technique I can harden my body to as tough as diamond. It would take a serious Water technique to break my barrier. Watch."

Taiga held the hand sign she needed to activate Earth Release: Earth Spear. Despite its name the technique did not produce a spear. Instead her skin turned dark brown. Releasing the hand sign she would call out to her shadow clone. "Hit me." From across the room Taiga's shadow clone would reach into her pouch and retrieve a single kunai before throwing it directly to her neck. This would be fatal against regular flesh. But the blade would instead strike her diamond hard armor and bounce off giving a sound similar to the blade hitting stone.

"Ninjutsu has a greater purpose than offensive technique. This defensive technique can be applied anywhere. Lets say something is bound to fall on you or you're fighting a diseased animal. It can be helpful for preserving your own well being."

Taiga would release her technique allowing her skin to return back to normal. She was completely unharmed just as before.

Zenaku was not only surprised that this woman knew of his water style attack so well but she seemed very well skilled in her earth release jutsu. " That is actually correct taiga so class pay close attention of what she just said cause you can learn a thing or two." zenaku said as he clapped his hands after watching her shadow clone throw a kunai knife which just bounced off of her. he was not sure what to do next cause he was not a teacher he was just there to teach the kids discipline but he guessed that taiga would probably have a idea on what they sould try next.

" Ok taiga what next, we still have taijutsu to show if you want or do you have something else in mind for these kids." Zenaku asked her as he stood there with his arms crossed in front of his chest, so far she has not disappointing so knowing her she could differently come up with something.

After her display of the Earth release technique she watched the Genin closely from her position in the front of the class. They seemed excited over the simple bout of Ninjutsu she felt it was unnecessary to bore them more with presentations. Perhaps now they were willing enough to take class seriously. She'd turn her head back to Zenaku and speak.

"No. I feel we have done enough today. Let them do some training exercises themselves and see how much they like it."

Taiga was surprised she didn't need to motivate the Genin physically. Perhaps they weren't as bad as she made them out to be. Maybe they were just kids who gradually lost interest instead of delinquents. She wouldn't think about it too much as it was little of her concern. She completed her mission and that was what was important to her. She'd turn to face the other direction before speaking one last time.

"See you around, Zenaku."

With those last words Taiga left the Academy through the same doors they came in.

After watching taiga use her earth jutsu the kids seemed very into what they was doing, which meant that it seemed that they did what they was supposed to do. " Good work there ninja you did a very good job." Zenaku looked over to see there home room teacher walking back in to the class. " Thank you sir just doing my mission. tho i give it back to you now i must leave."

Turning around zenaku walked out of the room and as he was he heard taiga tell him she would see him around.

" Sure thing taiga i shall see you around some time."
