Water Park!

With the chuunin exams coming up, most Genin would need to start training rigorously, which is understandable since if they do well, they get promoted to chuunin with more responsibilities and more importantly in Daisuke's eyes, a better paycheck for the cigarettes. Despite his financial situation, he thought it'd be nice to get his enjoyment in before he had to train like crazy and he couldn't think of a better place than the water park. He vaguely recalled going there once with his parents, as a kid but he can only briefly remember the rides and he's pretty sure it's going to feel nostalgic as he's in there.

The entrance wasn't that busy, a bit of a line but it wasn't massive and people would easily get in within a few minutes of waiting, but Daisuke wasn't planning to go alone. He bought about three tickets, one for himself, for Hana and someone she could bring along. He thought about inviting Inarie along, but she didn't strike him as the type to go for an event like this, so he suggested to Hana that she brought along a friend of hers. A bit of curiosity was there as to who the friend might be, but he'd see soon enough.

He's simply waiting by the entrance at the moment, having more casual wear but brought a bag to switch into an outfit suitable for getting wet, if needed. As soon as Hana and her friend came along, they'd go into the line and go into the water park.

Hana wore her black cloak over her swimwear, which would later be revealed once the gang were all inside. It seemed a black cloak was a common sight to see among the village given its high population of ninja. It was more common to wear that versus her bathing suit outright. Hana picked up a snow cone along the way to the water park to help pass the time during her walk. She chose to invite Chigetsu to the water park above all of her contacts she had. Katsumi was still sick, Kitsuki was busy preparing for some concert of hers, Arisu was very unlikely to show up given her fear of crowds, and all of her previous 'friends' suffered the same problem as last time. They were not responding to her texts. Hana was fine with that. After all, when one door closes another one opens. And Chigetsu has been a pretty good squad mate. Deep down Hana also felt that her and Daisuke could hit it off fairly well and maybe they both would get out of their introverted shell.

This water park was the only one in Kirigakure and also the largest. It was only a half hour walk away from her house which allowed her to take her time. Like any water expenditure she braided a few strands of her hair to keep it from getting too much in her face. She had a ton of hair and it was thicker than most other clan members due to her poor hygiene and hair care habits. But today was a special day for her. Hana actually showered the day before just before bed to make sure she was squeaky clean. After all she had to be fair to the other patrons trying to enjoy the pool water. She was lazy and not a barbarian. With her hand peeking through her cloak she gradually worked at her cherry snow cone on her way down the sidewalk in her flip flops. Obviously she turned some heads but she tried not to pay much attention.

Eventually she would reach the outskirts of the water park. The lines were too bad and she was the first to spot Daisuke waiting on the sidelines. She approached the boy in a straight line coming at him from his right side just outside of his peripheral vision. It had been a good month since she last saw Daisuke for some odd reason. Hana knew very well his life wasn't interesting and he had no reason to be avoiding her like he had. When she was ten meters close she had a greater view on the boy's facial expression and body language. Something sparked up in her nervous system. He's thinking about cigarettes.

Instinctively Hana hurled her snow cone at the side of Daisuke's pudgy face like a tomahawk allowing the cherry snow top to strike first splattering and sticking to his face. She'd stop just a few meters before Daisuke, arms crossed beneath her cloak hiding her body language. But just from what Daisuke could see now was more than enough to confirm she was unhappy.

Chigetsu wore a pleasantly cream colored two piece swimsuit, with the bottom having a little frilly bit that extended down to look like a tiny skirt. She wore her favorite purple hooded jacket overtop it, zipped up and covering herself until she arrived. This wasn’t all too different from her normal choices of attire, just with the difference being the lack of stockings and the replacement of sandals instead of shoes. Even though the difference wasn’t all too different, Chigetsu couldn’t help but feel a little bit cold and exposed. With her jacket zipped up it wasn’t so bad, but the thought already of strolling around with the majority of her torso exposed made her a little bit nervous. It had been a long time since she had gone swimming like this, especially in public. Plus, the last time that Chigetsu had gone swimming it had been… different. Before she had retreated into NEETdom, and so she had to go out and buy a new swimsuit for the occasion.

As she reached the outskirts of the water park, Chigetsu would spend a few moments marveling just at the number of people and the lines. They weren’t bad, but having to wait for something like this was a profoundly confusing experience for the young Hozuki girl. She was used to swimming in private pools and beaches, and when their clan wanted to use a water park it was usually entirely rented out for the day. So entering a public experience like this with the rest of the general population was… different. Not bad, but she wasn’t used to having so many people around, all of which could potentially be looking at her at any moment. The thought of that made her wonder if she should have worn a more conservative swimsuit.

Eventually from scanning around the people she would spot Hana, who was in the process of hurling a snow cone at some other person who Chigetsu didn’t recognize. Seeing it splatter across his face immediately broke a giggle out from the Hozuki’s lips, distracting her from her earlier thoughts. She would take that as her chance to enter the scene, scurrying up quick to take a position behind Hana.

“H-Hey! This is the right place after all. I was afraid I was going to get lost or something…” She would nervously laugh a little bit at that. Chigetsu would take a solid look at Daisuke, who she could only assume by that snow cone throwing that was someone Hana was familiar with. It was hard to really get a good look at his face with the cherry snow cone covering it though. Subconsciously she would reach out to take a hold of her thick pink braid, idly playing with it in a fit of nervous energy. Looking up to Hana, she would whisper, “Is this your friend?” while gesturing at the cherry-covered boy, pointing at him with the tip of her braid.

The waiting wasn't that long fortunately, what was unfortunate however is that as soon as he could see Hana in his peripheral vision, he already felt a cold liquid splashed against his face, only moving back his head very slightly out of a reflex. The cone fell down to the ground and what was left is the liquid on him, he'd normally be a bit pissed but the fact that he's in his casual getup and not his swimming clothes is a bit of a save, and considering they're at a water park, he can easily wash off the liquid, what was in question however is why the hell she'd do that.

He slightly turned his head, seeing Hana and a girl with pink braided hair... a look that lasted longer than it should've. "Fuck she's cute..." he thought instantly, but mentally restricted himself before he went down that slippery slope of lewd thinking. He focused back on Hana, raising his eyebrow. "It's nice to see you brought a friend, but it isn't nice to see you though." in the end, he'd get the last word.

"How did you even get the Mizukage spot when you do shit like this?" he'd comment, Hana might be a capable ninja but she doesn't have the right... personality for a mizukage. He sees leaders as people who inspire, to be a role model for other people and considering he just got a snowcone thrown at the side of his face, it's not something you'd expect from the leader of a village.

Hana watched as the boy got pegged with a Chinoike Cherry flavored snow cone, a well deserving punishment for his foul thoughts. Hana heard Chigetsu quickly take position behind her as she shifted her attention to her over Daisuke, fortunately looking past Daisuke's autistic stare over Chi's figure. "I wouldn't call him that. He was my servant for some time before he...evolved. Now he's just my neighbor." Hana would say to Chigetsu giving her a brief explanation on their situation before turning back to Daisuke, her eyebrows furrowing keeping her arms crossed. "That's called being reprimanded. I know you were thinking about ciggies. Come here!" Hana approached Daisuke with a fast-paced stride as her flip flops clicked furiously towards the boy.

Leaning into his personal space she'd sniff his clothing and body, even attempting to catch whiffs of his breathing. Her nose was trained like a canine as she focused on finding any recent signs of tobacco smoke. Hana knew his lungs were already tainted for life given his past experiences with smoking, so she had to try and smell past that. But as far as Hana could tell after sniffing him for a good ten seconds, head to toe, she was unsuccessful in finding what she looked for. After circling Daisuke with her nose she'd stare intently into his eyes, piercing his soul with her own while backing away back to her corner with Chigetsu.

And just like that all tension was released. Her intense visage and body language relaxed back to her casual self. "Alright then! Are we ready to enter?" She announced to the party of three. "Oh, by the way this is Chigetsu. She is the most recent member on my team and seems pretty cool." Hana knew Chi likely needed a helping hand when meeting new people. If she was anything like when she first met her, that is.

Servant? Evolved? Neighbor? There was obvious some history between these two. Those words evoked some powerful mental imagery though. She would stop herself before her mind wandered trying to figure out what exactly what their prior relationship was, as strange things would have inevitably flooded Chigetsu’s imagination. Watching the two interact was almost like watching siblings fight with each other, especially with the snow cone throwing. Watching it all brought Chigetsu to another nervous giggle. As an only child, seeing the two interact like this was kind of cute. That giggling would be ended immediately though as Hana rushed forward towards Daisuke, getting all up in his personal space and sniffing at him like a feral dog. Chigetsu’s earlier expression would be replaced with one of absolute confusion. “What…?” The sniffing would continue on for much longer than it should have, with Hana circling around the boy. Without knowing Daisuke’s history of smoking, and having missed the significance of Hana’s comments on ciggies, the entire display was just strange and confusing.

Having no idea what was going on, the easily impressionable Chigetsu would follow after Hana’s lead, getting a little closer to the cherry-colored boy and cautiously sniffing at him. He smelled… Like a guy? A tiny bit of sweat. Nothing at all like what Hana had smelled like when Chigetsu caught a whiff of her on their last mission... The smell of cherry flavoring kind of overwhelming his natural scent now, given how strong that stuff was.

As soon as Hana pulled back, Chigetsu would realize what she was doing was actually very strange, especially since she didn’t even know this guy’s name. Backing up out of the guy’s personal space immediately, her face would flush over with embarrassment. “H-Hi! My name is Chigetsu!” She would repeat it, even though Hana had just introduced her. “Uhh...You don’t smell bad…!”

“I just… I was copying Hana…” She would mumble that excuse quickly under her breath, staring down at the ground now. Returning to fidgeting with her braid, Chigetsu wouldn’t dare look Daisuke in the eyes as she spoke. “Sorry, that was really inappropriate…”

So apparently, Hana has mind reading abilities now. The one thought of thinking about ciggies and he easily got on Hana's shit graces. He didn't even bother at that point as she started to sniff around his clothes, presumably for the smell of cigarettes. He failed to see how that'd have any results, considering the snow cone but he just dealt with it until she was done. Of course, as soon as she was done, Hana pretended like she did nothing weird. It seems even with the expectations of Mizukage on her, Hana is still Hana... great for Daisuke.

What made it even more awkward during the whole thing was Hana's friend joining along... great, someone just as weird as Hana. It's already bad enough to deal with one of Hana, but two Hana's? he was going to nope out of there as soon as he'd get the chance... but at least she was nicer about it, getting the compliment of him not smelling that bad.

"Well thank you, at least you're nice about it unlike a certain someone." and it was quite obvious who he's referring to, but they'd get in the line soon enough and started to make their way into the water park, courtesy of Daisuke who bought tickets for all three of them. He'd rather ignore all the awkwardness of all that smelling as soon as he could, not even asking why Chigetsu joined in on it.

"Oh right... sorry, my name is Daisuke Kaguya. You could probably guess I'm a Kaguya by the hair though." he's somewhat proud of his Kaguya heritage, all though in recent times, he's been trying to down the arrogance of being one since he comes off as too much, with his encounter on Kit being a prime example in his head... he cringed about the bone protruding, he probably tried way too hard to be friends with her but at least he tried.

"Where should we go first? ladies choice." it's less about being a gentleman and more about him being indecisive, to him, the slide looked pretty fun but the idea of just sitting back and relaxing wasn't that bad either.

Hana was very proud to see her new accomplice join in the investigation. Although she doubted Chigetsu's nose was as powerful as hers it was the effort that counted. The pink haired girl had to be straight edge as well, avoiding alcohol and any recreational drug while punishing those who did. She was an ideal member for #HamburgerNation, Hana's official and unofficial team name for Calis, Katsumi, Chigetsu, and herself. Daisuke went to officially introduce himself, making it a point to include his white hair as if it signified anything. Sure the Kaguya were known to have other worldly traits, but white hair was still at least a bit common. The Yuki also tend to have similar appearances to the Kaguya, though a lot more uncommon. If only there was a better way to flag somebody with your Kaguya heritage. Maybe a display of one's clan ability? Hana wondered how that would work out. She figured it would be tasteless and rather grotesque to do in a social setting. Not to mention ruining a perfectly good set of clothes!

But standing around wasn't nearly as fun as enjoying the water park itself. After being in line for a few minutes they made it to the front where they were admitted into the park and Hana could finally expose herself. Unzipping her cloak from the inside she'd pull it off her body bunching it up in her hand.




Her body was liberated from the confines of the cloak as the warm sun graced her albino skin. Despite Hana's dislike for all things feminine she generally didn't skimp out on polishing up her appearance when it was the occasion. She, along with Chigetsu, were given a choice on what they wanted to do. Although she did intend to have fun it wasn't possible on an empty stomach. Hana ate light in the morning because she was intentionally looking forward the park food. "You guys can go ahead. I'm going to try and find us a good table and join when I'm ready." Ideally she wanted something close to the water, but not too close to where her food may get splashed. She'd make her way to the concession shack giving the other two some alone time.

The shack had no line which was convenient for her allowing Hana to place her order. The cashier greeted the Mizukage with a kind grin and short bow. "Hi, can I get one...I mean three double cheeseburger deluxe, two with chili and cheese, two hot dogs, three orders of fries, two orders of onion rings, a small pepperoni pizza, and a bucket of hot wings. Oh, and... two large Pepsi Max and a large sweet iced tea." While Hana was accustomed to Daisuke's tastes she was unsure what Chigetsu liked. Hana figured tea was a popular choice and given the girl's mannerisms she figured sweet was something she could handle. Hana ordered the food with Chigetsu and Daisuke in mind, though they were not essential in helping Hana finish off the order. The mere forethought of the order caused the girl's tummy to rumble. And she didn't plan on leaving the area until she got her order.

Luckily, Daisuke didn’t seem all too bothered about the fact that Chigetsu had just been a total weirdo and started smelling her. Unable to really pick up on the social aspects that were being displayed here, namely the unique relationship that Daisuke and Hana had, Chigetsu was left oblivious and confused. Daisuke did seem to be a bit mad at Hana for smelling him like that, and the whole snow cone thing… They were family or something, so maybe it was like that? Chigetsu was an only child and was never really close to any of her clanmates, so she didn’t really understand, but that was her best guess as to why they were both acting the way they were.

As soon as Daisuke introduced himself, Chigetsu would introduce herself again, having forgotten already in her nervousness that she had just done so literally seconds ago. “Daisuke. I’ll remember your name! My name is Chigetsu Hozuki, and my hair…” She trailed off, unsure of what to say for a second. “W-Wait! I already … I already told you my name?” Internally she would scream at her mistake, and the internal dread she was feeling at it would bleed into her expression. “I’m sorry! I’m sorry...” This was actually the third time that Chigetsu had been introduced. Twice by herself, and once by Hana. Her brain wasn’t fast enough to work in social situations like this without some sort of preplanning, and in her haste she had already embarrassed herself twice. She was prepared to clamp her hands over her mouth at this point and not say anything for the rest of the day. Hana was reliable anyway, and Chigetsu could just leave all the talking to her…

Hana unzipping her cloak would cause Chigetsu to freeze, both mentally and physically. She hadn’t noticed it before when they were doing missions together, but seeing Hana in her swimsuit… Chigetsu would stare at Hana’s chest for a moment, before turning down to look down at her own. While Hana was responding to Daisuke’s offer to decide what to do, Chigetsu would be caught up seething in jealousy. She was beginning to regret wearing a two-piece swimsuit like this. Who was she trying to fool anyway? Chigetsu was obviously as flat as an ironing board, and while that wasn’t her fault it didn’t make it any less depressing. Sometimes life just wasn’t fair. Sulking a bit now that she realized how beautiful and stacked Hana was, Chigetsu would allow herself to be consumed by that depression until she realized that Hana had disappeared.

Having not paid a lick of attention to what they had been saying the last few moments, Chigetsu would blink a few times. Had Hana left her alone with Daisuke? She had only just met him a few moments ago, and the realization that now she was alone while wearing a swimsuit in this public place while someone she had only just met made a prickling sensation crawl across her skin. Her shoulders would tense up, and she would stare nervously down at her Daisuke’s feet to avoid eye contact.

“I’m… I’m not good at deciding. You can choose what you want to do…I’ll do whatever you want.” She would whisper it out, holding a nervous, soft smile on her face the entire time.

The order was fulfilled and Hana took the tray from the concession stand. It was piled high with comical amounts of food from her previously placed order. Now it was time to find a seat. Taking her cargo to the tables next to the pool she tried to scout the waters for Chigetsu or Daisuke, but oddly enough none of them were present. It's been like twenty minutes. Where are they? The pools were fairly crowded but given her perceptive eye finding them would not have been a problem. Something was up.

Hana retraced her steps back to the front entrance of the park where Daisuke and Chigetsu still stood. Chigetsu was still there, but Daisuke wasn't there if you know what that means. Daisuke stared blankly at the horizon as if he was admiring the water park for an unhealthy amount of time. Hana's eyebrows furrowed. Did he suddenly go brain dead? Marching over to the couple with the tray of food in hand she confronted Daisuke. "What are you doing? Did you decide not to do anything?" She scolded towards Daisuke. But her fury would be her own shortcomings as a single misplaced step over the wet concrete caused Hana to topple forwards.


The tray of food toppled towards Daisuke as Hana shrieked over her slip and fall. The chili and cheese, drinks, pizza, and some of the buffalo wings painted Daisuke all different colors. Chigetsu would unfortunately be caught in the crossfire, though only being met with some iced tea splashing her bathing suit. A single accident compromised the water park experience and nothing else. "Oh no!" Hana sprung up on her feet and scampered over to Daisuke, who was now toppled over. "Oh good. I thought I lost you." She said, bending over to retrieve the bucket of chicken wings. She only lost twelve out of the forty. It was unfortunate, but could've been a lot worse. "Well that sucked. This blows. Let's go." Hana said with her bucket of chicken in one arm and grabbing Chi's arm with the other. They'd spend the day doing something else like watching a movie or something after leaving the park and changing back into normal clothes.

Chigetsu had been standing still for an uncomfortable amount of time waiting for Daisuke to respond. Her anxiety prevented her from continuing with the conversation, or asking if he was okay, and so it would stay at a stalemate of silent staring for way too long. She would end up being saved(?) by Hana’s re-entry into the situation. Turning over to Hana, Chigetsu would regard her with a bright smile, one that had (please help me) no hidden messages behind it.

And then Hana would trip.

Chigetsu would step to the side immediately, reflexes somehow saving her. The majority of the food would thus land on Daisuke, but at the same time she wouldn’t be spared entirely. A good portion of what seemed to be iced tea splashed over her, soaking her bathing suit. Because of her liquid nature, a bit of it would begin to seep into her body as well. Chigetsu would make a face that was half shocked and half looked like she was about to cry. She hadn’t been knocked off her feet like Daisuke had been, but the pretty bathing suit she had just bought was now soaked with the sticky tea, and she would have to shower for a while to get this tea out of her body…

Hana would grab her arm before Chigetsu could start crying, and pull her away from the mess that had just been created, and the collapsed Daisuke. It managed to preemptively stop the young girl’s waterworks. The two of them would find another way to entertain themselves for the day, like watching a movie or something, after they both managed to get cleaned up and changed.
