Suzuya: Shopping Episode

First day after graduation from the academy, Suzuya immediately starts planning different ways of combat. His first idea was his most prominent to him. Metal wire and Senbon. Perfect for setting traps and conducting his lightning. “I can actually just scatter these all over the place with the wire attached individually and bury some of them.” He says to himself as he walks towards the shops. “How much should I buy? Do I buy a lot and make it so I won’t have to buy more too soon? I feel like that’s the best option. At lease for the moment.” The people around tilt their heads to one side, questioning why Suzuya is speaking to himself out loud. As most people stop, stare and then continue on their way, shaking their heads as they do so, some children are just enthralled at the sight if someone speaking to themselves or possibly some invisible entity that they can’t see. “Oh! I almost forgot to factor in the cost of some pouches to hold all of them in. I mean I won’t carry all of them around at once. So maybe just two pouches would be fine.”

It wasnt often that Kanara would go out of her way to actually buy some things she deemed as necessary. After all, most things she needed she was getting rather easily regardless of where she was. But despite her being equipped quite well, there was always something else she needed, whether that was something as marginal as food, basic shinobi supplies or maybe even armor.

Today on her shopping list would be a series of things, those being:
2x Military Ration Pills | 5,000 ryo per bag of 20. Counts as a chakra recovery period when moving between short topics. Restores 10 points of the user's chakra in battle. Three usages per topic.
1x Medikit | 5,000 ryo ea. Includes one syringe, blood drawing kit, two rolls of bandage wrap, grain alcohol, one tourniquet, one roll of gauze, soothing cream, needle, thread, tweezers, scalpel, and shears.
2x Soothing Cream | 1,000 ryo ea. Minor pain relief and aides with healing.
6x Bandage Wrap | 500 ryo ea.
2x Wrist-Mounted Senbon Launcher | 5,000 ryo ea. Five senbon slots. Senbon not included. Can be loaded with poison.
10x Flash Bomb | 1,000 ryo ea. 15 feet blast radius.
10x Smoke Bomb | 1,000 ryo ea. 10 cubic meters of smoke.
10x Chili Pepper Bomb | 1,000 ryo ea. 10 cubic meters of gas.
10x Explosive Tag | 1,500 ryo ea. 15 feet blast radius.
100x Senbon | 50 ryo ea. (Simple)

While her list was soemwhat strange and quite extensive as well, it had reasons behind it. Important reasons. After all, when it came hard to hard, she would bite herself in the butt if she was loosing out on something because of this phenomenon. Entering one of the many stores, one she knew which sold senbon, she would look around quickly, before deciding to pace over and step next to the genin who was in front of a showcase of different senbon. Reaching inside in order to take one of them out, she would let the tip of her finger go over it as she gave out to the genin: "Also shopping, huh?"

Almost not realizing that someone was talking to him, Suzuya happened to look up and notice the person standing next to him. "Oh, yeah! Kind of. I haven't bought anything yet, just been looking and trying to think of everything I could use. First thing was senbon hehe." he replies immediately returning his gaze back to the senbon, and hand on his chin. "I really need some that I can run steel wire through, if you have any recommendations. I just became a genin so I'm just trying to get some basic things. Oh! which reminds me, I also need smoke bombs." Suzuya visually adds it to his mental list as he grabs out for lots of senbon that he is looking for. While grabbing in a large amount, he attempts to count it all as he grabs, only to lose count towards the middle of the bundle.

"My name is Suzuya. Suzuya Nara." Suzuya pours all the senbon into one hand while reaching out with his other to shake the stranger's hand, hoping that this could be the first friend he has made since becoming an official ninja. For the first time since this interaction began, he finally pays full attention to the entity standing next to him. Seeing this very interesting individual, who has been a ninja much longer than he has, Suzuya can't help but smile from excitement. "All in all, I plan to get a couple things at least just to start off. Right now all I plan on getting is:

I believe, if my math is right, it should cost me around 20,100ryo total." Suzuya nods his head in acceptance, as he concludes his mental math. After this he returns his gaze back towards the hopefully new friend standing next to him. He gesture for her to walk with him since he doesn't want the conversation to end yet, but does want to continue gathering everything he has decided to purchase.

Kontinuing to keep the senbon in her hand, Rolling it around and shifting its weight in her hand, she would shrug slightly before she replied to the question: "Oh, i am just using them as a distraction. And for that the will be good enough anyways..." Pausing for a few seconds and eyeing the shinobi, she would shrug slightly and ask him: "Arent you a little old to just have finished the academy?" waiting for an answer, she would, after the genin had stated his name, hold out a hand for him to shake when she gave out: "My name is Kanara."

Watching him monologue about the price of his desired items, and finally nodding, she would raise one of her hands ever so slightly to stop his thinking: "You forgot to calculate in the discount for shinobi. Its 25 % off of the goods here. Or at least is at most places." Regardless of that, her hand would move to the senbon stand and take up two items, that being senbon and launchers, before following him. "Smoke bombs are so-so. They can be detrimental as much to yourself as they can be to your enemies. What exactly do you specialise in, if you are buying senbon? Are you a ranged fighter?", she would ask while walking behind him towards the shinobi wire section of the store. Another item that Kanara needed.

After hearing her speak on his age, he thinks to himself for a bit. Then he shrugs as he responds, "Well I mean I never really thought about it to be honest. When I was younger, I spend tons of time just thinking about different ways to use some of my family's techniques. I was also kinda trained a bit by my family anyway, so I never had the urge to attend classes. It was only until recently that they told me to actually stay in class and finish to graduation. So that's what I did."

After shaking her hand, he smiles and responds, "Nice to meet you Kanara."

"You forgot to calculate in the discount for shinobi. Its 25% off of the goods here."

"Wait, shinobi get discounts? If I knew that earlier, I definitely would have finished the academy earlier. Thanks for letting me know!" With this, He determines that his total would decrease from 20,100ryo to 15,075ryo. "Smoke bombs may be so-so in terms of visual effects, but they help me travel during battle. I might not have finished academy, but my time was’t wasted." He says this with a slight smirk.

After purchasing everything, he walks off to the side to fasten on his hip pouches. He chooses to put both of them on his lower back and fills one with senbon and one with the steel wire. he keeps most of the senbon and steel wire in the shop bag along with the smoke bombs. ”I definitely appreciate your help letting me know about that shinobi discount. That’s all I need to buy right now. Oh also, I meant to ask, what rank are you? I know I was pretty late, but going off of that I assume you aren’t a genin?”

"Family techniques, huh?" Kanara would give out as she mustered the stranger. If he was part of a larger clan, it was unusual that he graduated so late, but then again, kanara had been graduating late as well, and as such she couldnt really judge him upon that. "What kind of family do you belong to? Is it a larger clan? Aside from that, not going to classes i can get. After all, theres always something else to do or more interesting. I was somewhat the same." Kanara would ask instead. WHile it was somewhat weird that his family hadnt told him to get enlisted earlier and to finish the academy, Kanara didnt know much about other clans to begin with.

"Yeah its no big deal. Kind of how you can get stuff cheaper if you are a student, you know?", Kanara would add after eh explained his thanks about notifying him. His statement about smoke bombs being beneficial for him however created another question. ]b]"Really? What did ya do that time then?"[/b] she would ask next, as she continued the most part of her shopping.

Eventually, when most of her hardware needs were satisfied, she would head outside with the Konoha genin when he asked her. Chuckling slightly as she looked at him she would give out: "A bit rude to ask it like that. After all, you should get to know me before wanting to know such stuff first. Maybe ill tell you later. For now i need to see a butcher though.", before heading towards the butcher, waving for him to follow her.

”I never expected it to be a rude question. You just seemed more experienced than me considering all you’ve said about senbon and smoke bombs, hehe. But nevertheless, if it really was rude, then I apologize for saying such.” Suzuya replies following her to the butcher. ”My clan isn’t too much, just the Nara clan. And if you know about us, then you would be able to figure out the usefulness of a smoke bomb to me.” He says this bringing his signature smirk back to his lips. He reminisces about the time he spent training before and during the academy. These are the memories of how he has learned most of his abilities, and some memories of ideas he has yet to attempt and try out.

”There aren’t too many abilities that we have, but I have some ideas that I’m working on in my spare time. Granted, I haven’t mastered all of the current techniques, but I feel like its best to learn certain things when it is most beneficial.” The smirk grows into a large smile as he gets excited about his own ideas. His imagination almost swallows his attention until he is brought back upon reaching the butcher as requested by Kanara. He hasn’t had much interest in shopping for such things that didn’t include brainstorming about how to change existing techniques, so a butcher shop never peeked his interests. Being his first time, he looks it all over. Taking in every perceptive thing it has to offer: how it looks, how it smells, and also the kind of energy it gives off.

"Well i suppose it wasnt exactly rude, but rahter... blunt." Kanara would elaborate when suzuya went out of his way to apologise to her. "Sorry for not stating it more clear. Nara - clan however... i heard storries, even if i couldnt say exactly what exactly they are doing. Maybe you will be able to show it to me eventually." Once inside the butcher, Kanara's buisiness would be concluded rather quickly. Her goal here had been to order a good quantity of pigs to be slauhtered and turned into vakuum sealed jerky. A deed that the butcher agreed to happily, seeing how much money Kanara was willing to spend on it just like that. Even with the 25% discount, they still were making money and Kanara even got free delivery to her house.

Bringing her attention back to Suzuya while the butcher was calculating something on his own, she would remark: "Seems about right. Getting stronger should be a thing that you enjoy, and to me it seems like you are just doing that, so... keep on going with it. Actually, what do you say hat we go to the trainings area and show me those clan techniques of yours?"

After a promise was given, that it would be done no later then 4 days after her order, she would leave the butchery, with the genin still following her.
