Lost Girl [Phiwa, Shu]

The mist was thick within the forest of Kirigakure, it had been raining for some time and the heat that accompanied it made the mistake thicker than normal. A girl traveled through the forest, quickly, on all fours, her hands and feet meshing within the dirt while a bright white animal followed behind her, looking as thought they were not going their full speed. This girl was named Yunolesca, a ryuutei that had been shunned from the clan. Her hair was wild, white and silver with icy baby blue eyes, with a scar over her left eye. The animal that followed was a white tiger named Khulan, their claws digging into the dirt with each step, a low huff and growl escaping the mouth of the predator with each step it took.

Yunolesca had no want or need to return to the clan, not wanting to be around the people that pushed her away from such a young age. The two roamed the forest, searching for food when suddenly, Khulan stopped Yunolesca, sniffing the air and turning her head in in the direction of this similar scent to Yuno. The tiger would cock its head and begin prowling to the direction, Yuno cocking her head as well but following slowly behind. This girl wore tattered clothes, barely covering anything as her chest was almost out and her skin revealing pearly white hue, complimenting her other features as well. She looked as though she had not bathed in a long time, her hair messy and dirt covering some places on her skin, specifically her feet, knees and hands. Yuno sniffed the air, smelling the same scent but couldn't pinpoint where or who this was. They would continue to prowl until they found the source.

Khulan met Yunolesca when she was just a mere cub. They became friends and have ventured Kirigakure since they met, sharing food, etc. They are family and have since been inseperable. Khulans loyalty is far greater than most pets, protecting Yuno as much as she can.

Phiwa had recently decided to take a day away from civilization and go on one of his usual strolls through the wilderness. He more often than not took paths which are traveled the least or haven't even been found. His interest lied within the promise of some sort of adventure. Sadly, today didn't seem very eventful other than Phiwa being able to find a couple interesting looking flowers and a couple of forest animals. Even though he hadn't originally found whatever excitement he came out here for he made sure to continue forward. The mist grew thicker and thicker as he went though, soon enough he had found himself in an area he wasn't familiar with.

He soon started to become hungry and regretted his earlier decision to travel lightly. With his hunger growing his senses began kicking in and almost instinctively he began sniffing around cautiously. It wasn't until he caught the scent of something all to familiar to him that he began to worry. Why would anyone be all the way out here, even then it seemed as if they were getting closer. He crouched down and made his way into some bushes beside a tree and hoped that whoever this was would accidentally show themselves.

The girl prowled against the ground, her eyes locked on to the mysterious figure. Khulans ears turned and twisted, hearing the environment around them, turning her head and then leaving the forest to go back to their home. Yunolesca looked back, watching the tiger flee, cocking her head but returning her gaze, her pupils becoming thin like slits, ready to pound. She would continue to prowl on all fours, slowly coming closer until she was close enough to lift her body off of the ground and pouncing at the man, digging her claws into the man's chest, baring her fangs until he would fall over if allowed. If he were to fall over, she'd land him on his back, baring her teeth and growling, her messy hair laying down against her back, drooping over her shoulder. Her ice blue eyes stared into his warm golden orbs, her eyes shifting size to side. Who was this person and why did he share a similar scent to her. "Two leg..."

There was a faint breeze that blew through the forest. The mist shifted around Phiwa's vision like some sort of illusion, a blanket which hid the threat that he knew was approaching. He held his arms outward as if he was waiting for something to walk within his range, like a predator waiting to ambush its prey. His breath was the one thing he was sure he could hear and even then he knew that it might've been loud enough to give away his position or cover the sounds of a quietly approaching enemy. Attempting to sniff out the threat wasn't of any help either as the thick mist dispersed the scent over a wide area. His immediate thought was to take off back toward the direction he had come from and see if they still pursued. Slowly rising up from his spot, he barely had enough time to realize that he had been paying to much attention on the wrong area. Usually most people he's ran into that tried to remain hidden would choose to remain at a distance. So when he looked down and saw another set of eyes meeting his own he was rightfully shocked.

He had barely enough time to move his arms into position before getting rushed and pushed down to the ground. He managed to make some sort of first contact of his own, grabbing one of the hands that had seemingly sprung from the mist itself. A pain shot through his chest which forced him to look down to examine the wound quickly. The claws, the overall animalistic nature of the way he was attacked and the scent all gave clear signs that this was one of his own. So, why was he being attacked? His head rushed with all possible answers but none seemed to really make much sense. Eventually he had come to the true realization that no matter who this was they had made the first move, so they'd have to be treated like a threat and not like someone who could be apart of his clan.

He reached for the wrist of his attacker and grabbed hold as to make sure no further damage could be done. His mind calmed and his next instinct was to actually get a good look at who this actually was. Their clothing was ripped and torn as if they had been out here for years. Could this possibly be someone who had been banished? His attention was instantly pulled away once they had spoken though. He shook his head lightly, clearing his mind before answering. "Two what? What the hell are you talking about and who are you?"

As Phiwa grabbed her wrist, Yuno began grunting and yelling, pulling away, eventually even going to bite the man's arm. "TWO LEG! BAD!" She'd cry out, still attempting to get away. With a quick bite and hope to release her, she would manage to wiggle her hand away and jump back, hissing and backing away from the slightly shorter male. "Not. FRIEND!" Yuno called out.


For a better look at Yunolesca, her hair was white with black like highlights near the tips of her hair, ragged and jagged, as if someone clawed her hair as a quick hair cut. It was matted, had yet to be groomed and she was covered in dirt, scars along her body, including over her left eye. Her fangs bared sharp and her claws were long and sharp. This girl was feral, yet to be tamed, a monster to society. Her eyes looked him up and down, her nose moving upward, sniffing the air again. He smelled clean, almost like flowers while Yunolesca smelled of natural spring water with some pine and wood. Not bad but not good either. Her hands would move, legs following, her body inching closer to the male. He seemed.. comfortable. Was it the similar scent that made her feel calm? Was it the fact that he didn't try to hurt her right off the bat? She didn't understand but she continued to get closer until she was five feet away from him where she'd sit like a dog and scratch her head with her foot. Definitely an animal if anyone ever saw her.


Yunolesca cocked her head, the two tufts that looked like ears would move and wiggle with the head movement, replicating a cats ears. "Smell. Funny." She'd insult the dark man. The birds around her would flock nearing the man, not avoiding him, some cats coming up to him and then roaming away. The animals provided comfort for her, allowing her to move her head back in hesitation but was willing to see how this played out. Who was he?

"H-Hey! What do you think you're doing!?" He moved his free hand over, subtly shoving her back. When he saw her attempting to get away he didn't fight against it. If anything having her that close seemed to be the biggest danger as of the moment. He quickly got back up and took a couple of steps backward. She fought against him like a feral animal and the first thought to come to his mind was that she was under some sort of mind control jutsu. On the other hand this could just be exactly how she is on a daily basis. Either way he decided to keep his distance for now.

He noticed her caution and began to lower himself a tad, raising his hands out infront of himself slowly. "Okay then. So you can speak, and you obviously can tell when someone actually wants you dead and when they were just walking so... you have some sort of common sense I suppose. Might be worth asking something." He thought for a couple of moments on what he could possibly say to her right now. She didn't seem capable of forming full sentences so he'd have to ask something simple. The only issue was she seemed to rely mainly on instinct as he had witnessed earlier, so he wasn't sure what would upset her and cause another attack. "Why are you out here? Do you have any family?" This was the best he could think of for the time being.

At this point he was more worried about stalling than figuring out if she actually was a Ryuutei, despite the shockingly familiar animal like traits of the Ryuutei. He didn't wish to run all the way back home with someone chasing behind him. He would engage her in a fight if that did happen, but she didn't even seem to know any better. If she's also acting on instinct that would only raise more questions. Why did she specifically go after another person? Phiwa was pretty sure there were a significant amount of animals residing within the forest. Also, why did she seem to move directly toward him. From the faint specks of her scent that he could sniff out earlier he knew that she was making her way toward him, just not from where. Nevertheless he was gonna make sure he made it out of here in one piece and with less claw marks covering his body. Speaking of claw marks the one on his chest had been bleeding slightly. He covered the wound, placing his hand over a majority of it and stopping most of the bloodflow. The wound wasn't fatal but it still was an inconvenience.

Yunolesca watched the man take a step back, continuing to scratch her head with her foot. Her head would tilt from his speech, not quite understanding what he was trying to imply. She'd get up to on all fours as she finished scratching, walking around the man and sniffing him, as if to see who he was. All she could smell from him was a cat, similar to her in the aspect of scent. She'd sniff a but close to his behind but then pull away as he smelt floral, almost as if he bathed in flowers. Yunolesca pulled away from the smell and hissed but continued to walk around him, her pupils now full and not on edge but she would flinch and step back if he were to move closer.


Yunolesca's eyes wandered, looking him up and down before her nose curled up at the thought of family. Family was a word she knew and didn't take too kindly with. "Family. Bad. Alone. Only Khulan." She would say, looking him up and down and then looking to the side as she sat down like an animal once again. Yunolesca had been out here for some time, getting scars along her pale body. she'd then sniff herself and then get up to walk to a nearby stream, her eyes surveying her surroundings. Khulan had remained at the stream, lapping up some water, rehydrating herself. Yuno began to lift her shirt in a way that would tear it more, stripping down to bare nothingness, revealing her pearlscent body to anyone nearby. She'd dip herself within the stream splashing the water on to her, Khulan looking around and growling at anyone who would come near. Khulan was a very protective tiger of Yuno, seeing her as family and nothing less. The two would remain in the stream, bathing and what not until otherwise.

Shu was running through the forest, toward what seems to be the direction of his home. He thought, "how am I this stupid to not put markers when I was going into this forest to hunt some food. I shouldn't have trusted my instincts to see if I could of made it back home if I only retraced my steps." As he was running and trudging through bushes he heard a few distant voices toward what seems like infront of him. As the voices grew louder he makes out faint dialogue of a masculine voice saying, "Why are you ...-? Do ...- have ...- family?" And a few seconds later a feminine voice broken out through the rustling of leaves, "...- Bad. Alone. ...- Khulan." While Shu was being distracted by the two strangers conversation and trying to puzzle what was happening, THWACK! Next thing he felt as the sound emitted right infront of him was the hard ridges of a tall great oak and him getting knocked off his feet. He laid on the damp grass with the wind knocked out of him, as he faintly hears more rustling coming closer toward him through the loud ringing in his ears. "Uhhhhh...." as Shu groans in inmense pain.

Already thoroughly confused by his current situation he had decided that it was better to just figure out what her whole thing was some other way. He looked at her and soon couldn't help but be amused. She was like a wild animal trapped inside a human body. He noticed that every time he would move suddenly she'd flinch back in response. Taking things slowly, he sat down on the ground and let her examine him in an attempt to gain her trust. Although he found her antics funny and entertaining, he still couldn't bear the thought that she may be out here all alone. Taking deep breaths he found this sort of interaction to soon become comforting.

When she spoke again he listened attentively as not to miss anything important. He figured her family had done something that drove her to this state, but the mention of another person added even more questions. Who were they and what importance did they have? He knew he wouldn't be able to find this out if he didn't dig further but he felt that he may not even have the skills to handle another possible attack. If he followed her from here he may be led into an ambush of possible others. The only thing that continued to combat these negative thoughts though was her scent. She definitely was like him but just lost to the wild he supposed. "You don't have to be alone. I'm sure someone from my home would be more than willing to help." He doubted she understood most of that, but it was worth telling. Eventually she seemed to lose interest and move away. He stood up and dusted himself off before looking in the direction she went.

It was then that he yet again became alert. Something else had shown up within the mist. Could this possibly be that Khulan person she had mentioned? Maybe this was his moment to learn more. He waited till she was well out of view before walking in her direction. This was a dangerous move but he didn't care seeing as she had previously attacked him. Maybe he could find this other person and ask them some questions about her and actually get answers. He eventually found her, and quickly turned back around once he saw what she was doing, and the thing that he could only assume was Khulan. He quickly retreated back into the forest when he spotted the tiger, and decided to just wait until they moved.

His attention quickly turned to another presence, but this one seemed to have announced itself. Phiwa heard a loud thud within the forest and looked in the direction it came from. He looked back toward the bushes that blocked his view of the stream then went off to see what had caused that sound. As he got closer he smelled something else. Was this just another wild person or was this someone who had also become lost due to the mist? When he got close enough he noticed a man sitting flat on his ass infront of a tree. He could only assume he ran head first into it. "Hey, are you alright? You look a little hurt."

Yuno would bathe herself within the stream, her snow white skin glistening within the mist, her ice blue eyes piercing through the thick fog, still on high alert of her surroundings. Without having animal like ears, her normal ears would twitch and move a bit, regarding any sounds around her, her face being more relaxed than before, finding comfort within the water. Taking her time to bathe, she would exit the stream and shake off any water, placing her clothes back on in a.. odd way. She would go from the bottoms, stretching the neck hole of her shirt and then her pants as well, all while sitting on the ground. Still remaining wet, her clothes would become soaked, her body clean but not her hair. Yuno now successfully smelled like spring water, allowing her to smile sheepishly and continue to walk on all fours, enjoying her new smell.


Just as when she were to leave, she would hear a loud THWACK, her head and Khulans head turning to each other and then cocking their heads. Yuno's head would nudge forward for Khulan to check it out, the white tiger nodding and running off while Yuno followed shortly behind, leaping after the tiger who was significantly faster than her. Khulan would hide in the bushes, her eyes locked on to the two humans, her body close to the ground as she got closer, revealing her face from the bushes first, her paw next, and so on, revealing her large body to the two. A low snarl erupted from her throat, baring her fangs to the two, all while Yuno lept in front of Khulan and stopped her from advancing, her head and eyes looking back to Phiwa and then turning back to the tiger. Khulan huffed and plopped down onto the ground, groaning and yowling, like a toddler who was just told no. Yuno remained silent except to say one word, at least one word to her..

Laying on the soft grass as Shu stares as the spinning verdant canopies, His whole body ached from head to toe as he remembered the feeling of hard brittle bark against his whole body. The spinning of the world starts to slow down as Shu hears footsteps coming closer very slowly, like a tiger about to pounce on his prey. A mysterious voice calls out and says, "Hey, are you alright? You look a little hurt." As Shu tries to sit up by planting his hands toward the ground to support himself up, he crumpled back down as his right arm dislocated from his right shoulder. "Uhhhhh... Oww.. Where did that tree come from?"

Groaning and still a bit light headed, Shu finally gets up using his left arm and starts to cradle his dislocated right arm so it lessens the pain. He looks around slowly to not hurt his head, and sees a fuzzy slim, dark figure with two unknown things sitting on top of his head. The dark figure stopped abruptly due to Shu looking at him. Shu tried to make out more details by squinting at him and leaning a bit forward, and the blurry figure flinched back. Shu discards the figure for now and still looks around to see if there was a second figure as he heard two people talking before his incident. Shu didn't see anyone else around until he heard scruffles behind the dark figure, and spotted fuzzy white spots close to the ground around all the greenery. Shu weakly nudges his head towards the white dots and says, "Behind you.. look out."

He gave the man another quick one over before actually saying anything else. He noticed the man had an injured arm as well, which he could only assume came from him running into the tree. "Well there's often a lot of trees in forests, that's kinda their whole thing." He gave a slight chuckle, and quickly stopped as he realized that the man still was in some sort of pain. He looked around as he knew that the possibility of that tiger still being around was high. How would he even defend them if it did appear? He was used to hunting but a tiger would've been an entirely new challenge all together. He noticed that the man was squinting and straining his face a lot. "Are you alright? Did the impact knock your brain loose or something?" He said with a sarcastic look plastered on his face, although he doubted the man could really see his expressions right now.

After a while he did move over to help assist the man whenever he was allowed, helping him brace himself if at all possible. "You need to be more careful out here man, the forest isn't to fond of people that aren't very aware." He stayed close to the man just in case he fell to the ground again. It was then that his head shot to the side as he had smelled a familiar scent. It was the wild girl and that tiger. He heard the warning of the man and turned around, spreading his arms out as if to protect the man. When he saw the tiger his eyes widened slightly but he regained his cool fairly quickly.

As he watched the girl call the tiger off it put him at ease. Lowering his arms, he takes a couple steps forward, at least 8 feet away from her. "Hello, is that uh... is that Khulan?" He pointed at the tiger, noting the fact she formed a bond with a wild cat. Whatever doubts about her not being a Ryuutei was instantly washed away. Phiwa's entire mood changed as he became even more at ease, as if he was with actual family instead of two total strangers. "Impressive. I've always wanted to form a bond with a wild animal like that. It's been kinda hard though."

"I hope that isn't one of my own kinsmen threatening another member of my family."

Raika's voice carries through the forest before she leaps to the ground from one of the upper branches, landing next to Phiwa and Shu, which would likely surprise all of them. She'd been careful to approach upwind of the group, like a good ambush hunter, keeping their scents towards her and her scent moving away from them. Her raven-black hair falls over her back as she stands up, revealing her clothing of a dark bluish-gray top that was nearly skin-tight to show off her body, sleeveless so her strong arms are exposed as well. One can follow the vertical stripes of her top nearly all the way down, until stopped by her dangerously low-sling pants that could do little to hide the musculature of her legs, while instead of nin-shoes, she was now wearing boots meant for harsh terrain. On her back was a large metal plate of armor, but it was unlikely anyone would be able to see it since Hiramekarei was also attached to her back using the tree climbing skill, the legendary weapon easily recognizable even while it was still covered in bandages, especially with both handles exposed. Raika stands now with her arms crossed under her chest, since there was usually little room over her chest.

"You two must be the new up-and-coming Ryuutei my clan sent me mail about. Phiwa, I presume? And Yunolesca."

Raika raises an eyebrow at seeing an actual tiger with Yunolesca; it seemed that their clan was somewhat compatible with more than just lions. She'd heard that Yunolesca had been banished from the clan for lacking their pure blood, which was quite ironic since Raika had been accepted despite the odd circumstances of her birth. She keeps up her mostly nonchalant look as she approaches Yunolesca, but stops a couple of meters away.

"You are a Ryuutei now. You have a family."

Raika hopes her more simplistic speech will help Yunolesca understand that she's not in danger of the other Ryuutei now; as the clan leader, Raika had far more authority than the council, especially now that she was a Red Lion.

Yunolesca would continue to sit, Khulan rolling in the grass, still on high alert as she would never let her guard down. Yuno cocked her head to the side and looked to Khulan. "Khulan." She would say, confirming the man's thoughts on who khulan was. His face would show an expression of being impressed. That's when her eyes would trail to a voice that would appear, the woman landing in the midst of them, standing up tall and showing off her body. Yuno jumped back, Khulan rolling over and prepping for an attack. Just before they were going to attack, the woman vanished, with a 'pop' like sound effects, as if to dissappear within thin air. This perplexed Yunolesca, completely putting her off guard and vulnerable as her body just kinda... went limp and questioned everything that happened. Was this a two leg thing?

The tiger would make its way around Yuno, sniffing these people out, especially Phiwa since he smelt the most like her. If phiwa were to put his hand out, Khulan would sniff and puff through her nostrils, then putting her head against the palm of his to let him know he was okay to her. Off to the.. blind boy I suppose. Khulan would travel around the boy and sniff him out, occasionally hissing but reluctantly bumping her head against his hand to say "I guess we're okay but don't try any funny shit".


Khulan would return to Yunolesca and sit next to her before huffi g and laying back down. "Good?"
