Cleaning up the Trash

Missions Being Done:

The market today was much more busier than it ordinarily was around this time. Esdeath marched through the streets her shoulders checking anyone who dared get near her. The scowl on her face made sure that not many people walked to close to her. She had a reputation of a quick temper and love of torture, she used it to her advantage many times. However today that scowl was more frustration at having to do "community service".

"How could Sero Sensei recommend something to lowly..." Esdeath spoke more under her breath than aloud.

Sero had Suggested that they go around Kirigakure and help clean the place up a bit. He had even told them to switch training partners for the day. She was on her way to the market district to meet up with Aoi the blue fox boy. He seemed capable enough to Esdeath but she did not know how well he would take to her tactics when it came to punishing the delinquents.

After making her way to the market square she waited for Aoi to join her. She was early but knew that even being on time for a shinobi could be detrimental. One of the shop keepers came to introduce himself thanking Esdeath for her time. She sneered but accepted his thanks anyway.

"Where is this kit anyway." Esdeath pondered aloud.

"Right behind you." Aoi gracefully jumped down from the roof of the building next to her, his light blue tails seemingly blending with the sky. He didn't like the idea of menial tasks any more than his "companion" seemed to, but figured he could take his annoyance out on the troublemakers. That was their job anyway, or close enough. He also didn't like busy market roads and preferred to travel undetected by rooftop instead. The fox woke early and left to arrive with plenty of time to stake out the area a bit, but didn't feel like being the one to talk to the shop keeper. His blue tails and ears were easily recognized and had dropped from these shops a few times himself in his youth. Last thing they needed was to be turned away because he couldn't hold his attitude if the shopkeep remembered him from before. "Any useful information from the old man or are we on our own for this?"

Esdeath jumped slightly as Aoi startled her landing lightly on his feet. Her scowl softened as she eyed him up and down wondering how long he had been waiting. His tails twitched giving of a sense of edge and annoyance around the common folk of the village. She stood up straightening her white military jacket and hat, brushing off the slight dust from his landing.

"I would request you do not startle me like that thank you very much." Esdeath's tone shifted from a gruff sourness to that of someone off in distant thought.

"He said the group we are looking for are a bunch of ruffians who not only have been tagging the shops but also mugging the elders at night." Esdeath said.

In her mind she could picture a group of thugs who could not earn an honest days work. They had not been touched by the gift of the shinobi. Her eyes shifted to Aoi again, she was not used to being around anyone for long periods of time besides Itsuki. The young man was handsome she had to admit and his fur looked soft and warm. He was only a year older but his fox features did him more than enough favors. Itsuki was lucky she had no interest in men or he might give her a run for her money.

"The way i see it is we can do this job one of two ways. Either we clean this mess and find those responsible and teach them a lesson." She could not hide how that option made her feel.

"Or we can find these little shits and make them clean this crap themselves or else." A sly grin crossed Esdeath's lips followed closely by the tip of her tongue.

She savored the thought of making these hoodlums scream, beg and plead for their lives before watching them on their knees cleaning the mess they had made to these average peoples shops. She bit her bottom lip out of habit before quickly remembering her company.

"I'll leave that choice up to you, you are older after all."

"Sorry for the startle. I'd rather not be seen by hundreds, or my presence sensed by any" he was wondering what had her head in the clouds. "We can do this two different ways then. We can either look around with no physical description, or we can come back at night, catch them in the act...." he said before lowering his voice to a whisper and pinned his ears back "and punish them for their crimes and make them clean up their mess."
He noticed the kunoichi eyeing him in his black skintight crop top and matching shorts, almost able to read her thoughts. "You're not part of this foxes menu. And yes, the fur is as soft as it looks."
Aoi saw the shinobis reaction to each option, which closely matched his own thoughts. He flicked his tail and extended out his claws on one hand.
"I know both of us are above the task of cleaning this up, and I feel like we should teach these guys a lesson in cleaning up after themselves. The question is do we look for them now or wait until the slime decides to come back"

Esdeath could not hide her grin at the possibility of bring these fools to justice. She also knew her brand of justice was not what most normal people would consider simple. She took a moment to ponder the question asked by Aoi tilting her head to the side at the obvious answer.

"We should catch them in the act." She said quickly.

"We should hide out on one of these roofs or split up to cover more visual area." Esdeath pointed as she spoke to a few rooftops around them.

One a couple of building in the immediate are had been tall enough to offer a good place to hide and still see everywhere with no possibilities to be flanked. Waiting for nightfall would be the best option for the two shinobi. Aoi could sit back and use his Sensory abilities scouting the area until their targets appeared.

"I'll meet you up there foxy." Esdeath's words trailed as she ran to and up a nearby wall heading to the roof.

"Catching them would be more convenient. No doubt on us catching the wrong people plus we can drop down and scare some sense and manners into them. I say we each take a separate rooftop to cover more ground."

Aoi looked around for which buildings might provide the best spot, easily being able to hide himself and see anyone in the area, as he followed his teammate up the side of the nearby building.

The fox also pondered if the trash causing this mess had anybody trash them respect, or, if anyone would miss them if they just happened to vanish. He doubted he would be allowed to take it that far though. He wasn't on his own anymore.

The day slowly became night as Esdeath waited on the roof watching for the vandals. She had begun exerting her chakra causing a small area four blocks wide to experience a small amount of falling snow. As the hours passed the snow mixed with the natural fog of Kirigakure making the area around look like the first snow of the winter seasons. The cold never bothered her being of Yuki blood, however it did make her partner Itsuki uncomfortable. Itsuki was not here now and in her stead was Aoi who seemed to not mind the cold given his beautiful blue fur.

She hoped the fresh snow would make it easy to find or follow their prey no matter what was needed. She looked over to the roof Aoi was supposed to be on and could not see him. He was good at hiding it seemed, he would be a good ally for when Sero was ready to fully take them in to the more dangerous training. As she sat there crouched making small sculptures of ice growing bored by the hour. The lights from any nearby shops and houses had gone out about an hour ago. In the distant darkness she faintly heard the crunch of fresh footfalls in the snow.

Waiting on the roof, he watched as snow started to fall. "Great. The one thing I didn't plan for. It wasn't supposed to start snowing yet this early in the season." Aoi covered the exposed parts of his outfit with his tails to keep warm. It was okay though as his tails usually helped him blend in with the sky anyway, but that was usually only during daylight. The fox didn't mind covering his face, as he could still smell any new presence and the snow would only amplify the sounds of footsteps.

The fox peeked out to glance over where Esdeath was sitting and only saw feint movements. He would have to teach her how to conceal herself better later, but for now she should at least be hidden from the ground below, especially since they watched all the lights go out a while ago for all the shopkeepers to go home and most likely in bed by now. Hopefully she is staying warm, though she didn't seem to mind the ice from her jutsu. His ears twitched as he started hearing footsteps in the snow walking in their direction. Aoi stayed balled up, keeping his face uncovered and watched, waiting for the people to enter his view.

One of the thugs came right up to the building he was on, and a soon as Aoi saw the paint, he dropped down, waving his tails quickly on the way down to signal to Esdeath, and knocked over the thug on his landing. He then pinned his head between Aois foot and the ground with a sadistic grin and remained silent to not scare of off there were others in the area.

Esdeath watched two shadows move down the street, they were no shinobi their foot falls crunching with every step. This job would be easier than she expected. She figured they would be able to hide themselves at the least. With the level of carelessness these had to be young teenagers at most stupid young adults. She waited for the signal from Aoi watching one turn down an ally by Aoi's building. The second moved past her to another building setting down a bag before they started to rummage through it. She saw a quick flash of sky blue against the falling white knowing the game was afoot.

The second hooligan did not notice as the frost fall around him went from a casual snowy night to a quick flurry. He shook his shoulders as the dropping temperature made him shiver. A gust blew past him causing his dark hair to blow wildly as the snow quickly began to cover his feet. Her footsteps in the snow were silent, this was her home, the air around them dropped to below zero hitting the negatives. The drop bothered her in no way shape or form, this was her element, slowly she approached only letting him hear the last step she took.

As he turned his eyes wide twin spikes of ice shot through his feet pinning him to the ground. She was upon him before he could scream covering him mouth forming as thing sheet of ice over it. He could still breath through his nose but he would not be alerting anyone to his position. She looked down licking her lips seeing the red liquid slowly pool beneath his feet mixing with the snow like a morbid childrens threat. She could feel the excitement run through her from the look of fear in his eyes. Itsuki better be ready for when she got home, it had been a while since she had gotten this wet. Esdeath leaned down whispering into the young mans ear.

"There is no point in screaming, I am here to punish you for your transgressions." A wide grin spread across her face, her eyes wide in anticipation of the torture that was soon to follow.

It took a moment for Aoi to register that Esdeath was making the snow when he saw her drop down. They would definitely need to talk about that one later, though it started getting too thick to see through.

Knowing she had the drop on hers though was all he needed to know. And so the fun begins. The fox stepped down a bit harder on the thug, hoping to get some fun out of this, seeing as Esdeath didn't seem the type to tattle on him for "going too far".

He pinned back his ears and extended his claws, leaving a small red scratch down the kids face. "For every noise you make is another, deeper scratch. Try to run and I'll track you down. Didn't anybody ever teach you to clean up your mess or do I have to do it now?" The words came out more growl than human.

He watched the blood run down his face, and eagerly anticipated more to follow

After some time Esdeath began to walk back out of the snow covered alley stopping the exertion of chakra making it snow. The name behind her was curled into a ball cry a small pool of blood beneath him. Next to him sat a bucket full of water and a sponge, tools for him to clean up his mess. She licked her lips cleaning a small speck of blood from them. She needed to find Aoi and return home to Itsuki, this night had gotten her worked up.

Aoi was monitoring the thugs cleaning progress when he heard footsteps in the snow coming his way. He went on the offensive until he saw Esdeath walk out of the shadow licking her lips. "Alright, funs over, clean up your mess, and don't even think about running away or doing this again, next time I'll leave more than a small scar on your face." He walked off from the man, over to meet with Esdeath.

Esdeath returned early the next morning to see the man she had disfigured the night before still cleaning his mess. Looking around she did not notice Aoi but shrugged knowing it did not matter. With a quick spin she turned and began her return home.
