Negotiations gone wrong Empty Negotiations gone wrong

Post by Kim Chang-Min Wed Dec 26, 2018 7:38 pm

(Interrupting EVERYBODY! Noz also places the time of the snakes arriving as Akame is speaking which I have not seen be contested by anybody, and since I'm the only one who has not had a chance to react to the snakes since they were made after my last post, I will be doing so here.)

The clones of Akame sensed that something was off, in particular the ones who were not facing away from Honiko. Both of these clones caught sight of the snakes doing stuff out in the distance, moving the village around and being dicks in general. The real Akame had not gotten past her first couple sentences when these things were noticed and both clones would have the same thought pop into their mind; Fool.

The duo of clones (which includes the one not facing her that is using sensory) would be the ones to act. Considering that one of the clones was looking directly at Honiko, the next sequence of events would happen exceptionally fast. Fast enough that Akame doubted she, meaning herself, would be able to react to it in time. A single seal formed as it stepped in front of the second clone, just before a torrent of lightning ripped through the clone's mask aimed directly for the center of Honiko's torso. It was a technique that required avoidance on her part if she did not wish to risk serious injury. The second clone, upon feeling the chakra build up of the first clone, would speak as quickly and coherently as her natural coordination would allow. The technique it had been preparing since the conflict first began would finally get to see its usage. It was also the first time somebody would be hit by it who did not die soon afterwards. Considering her coordination was superhuman in the first place, that would be a very short amount of time needed in order to speak. And what the clone said would change the course of this battle for better or worse, though hopefully for the better.

    "Unlimited Blade Works!"

And upon the name being called, all of those within range to hear her voice (everybody in the thread is within range, including Nariko and Iro) would fall uncannily still as the genjutsu took hold. If they heard her voice, even if not the full name of the technique, would fall prey to a powerful genjutsu. Since Honiko had not seen fit to utilize her senjutsu until Nariko had displayed outward hostility, it was unlikely such a skill would be of much use to her in the couple seconds that had elapsed since Akame made her move.

Iro, Nariko, and Honiko would all be greeted to an otherworldly sight. A sky that was full of nothing but frozen gears with a gray background, land that was nothing but sand and rock with a few hills here and there as far as the eye could see. These were not the most telling features of this genjutsu however, oh no. Within this illusory dimension was scattered thousands of blades, each one buried point first into the sand. Each of the afflicted would find themselves near each other while a copy of Akame would stand apart from them five meters away. Without a word, swords would begin to pull themselves from behind the group of people caught in the illusion a few meters away as they made their way to Akame's clone.

Three swords came, all of them point first, headed directly for Honiko as the clone Akame maneuvered around in this dimension so as to have Honiko in her direct path. This illusory Akame would also charge Honiko as the swords approached, intent on burying them in her back as the illusory Akame attacked from the front. One sword materialized in Akame's hands as she charged Honiko, bringing it down upon her left shoulder as the three other swords would be making their way to bury themselves in her liver, heart, and spleen. There were no words spoken in this world by Akame, no negotiations. No mercy. Honiko had chosen her bed, and now it was time to lie in it.

As the first clone spoke and the mental battle began, the physical battle would not be anywhere close to over. The clone near the one focusing on maintaining a genjutsu would rush Honiko, drawing its blade for a lightning fast strike as they closed the gap almost instantly. It had released the full force of the natural energy present within its cloned body, focusing the beginning of the transformation where it mattered most; the legs. Lightning would cackle into life around its form in a weaker but still potent form of the very technique Nariko had sought to use, giving her an additional burst of speed and strength to compliment that which she already wielded. In a flash, the Blade Queen would close the distance and deliver three strikes delivered at speeds too fast for anybody present to accurately follow. The first strike would be a horizontal slash aimed at the knees of Honiko's armor, a strike coming from behind where the armor was the most weak. If there was none there, then the cut was still aimed at the knees since that's a good place to cut. It was intended to cut the Lightning Disciple's legs off at the knees, literally, and would suffice to knock her free from the illusion she was likely under.

The next two came just as quickly as the first. Akame's first slash put her to Honiko's right and underneath her center of gravity due to the location of the first strike. A quick barrel roll and a flash of steel would claim Honiko's right arm from the elbow down, the ANBU again aiming directly for the weak spot in her armor. It was a cut that required incredible timing and finesse, a testament to her skill. The third would be a follow up that brought the blade around with a swivel of the wrist to cut the spinal cord at the base of her skull where the brain stem was. The reason for such a high cut was simple in that getting around the armor protecting the sides of Honiko's neck and face made it a difficult attack. Akame's coordination was simply stunning however, the precision with which the blow was delivered just before the clone leaped away to safety being something very few alive have had the pleasure of witnessing. Under the splintered mask, the clone's body took on a grayish hue as a wicked smile greeted the terrorist.

The other clone that was not using a genjutsu was not still during this. It had reserved its power, choosing to attack only when one clone had almost exhausted its supply of stamina with its blitz. While it began its assault, this clone would close in more slowly with its sword drawn. It would have a more simple task however. Raition coated the blade as it charged, intent on driving the blade into Honiko's chest an inch to Akame's left of her heart and would follow by slamming the terrorist into the roof of the building to pin her to it. The real Akame would be keeping tabs on everyone and everything while all this happened. As soon as Honiko was no longer in the illusion, the clone would release everyone else from its hold. Or, if she somehow managed to evade it, would release them as soon as possible.

"I told you, we do not get caught lying down twice." The ANBU captain would leave it at that for Nariko to take over, as the real Akame's attention had been diverted to the dragon she was sure was going to start approaching once it realized its master had been blitzed in the span of a couple seconds.

    NOTES:

Since the snakes disrupted the flow of the topic with their appearance in the background, Akame is going to use one of her precogs against Honiko to preempt everything that happens including her own speech. Please remember that this all begins BEFORE Akame has even finished her first paragraph.

Negotiations gone wrong Empty Re: Negotiations gone wrong

Post by Kim Chang-Min Wed Dec 26, 2018 7:39 pm

The snakes entered into the city thereby making her intended statement to the Kage and her ANBU Captain. Akame launched into a passionate defense of her Kage's proposal. She spoke about how intensely they had prepared and how the fight was a fair ask considering she was demanding the same of her own Nin. Honiko tilted head upwards just slightly in acknowledgement of the ANBU Captain. As she did so dragon wings began to sprout from her upper and lower back slipping through the pre-arranged vents in her armour. The dragons nestled inside of her body as still as a tree and gathering natural energy. Despite her insult she respected the woman. She was proud of her home and wanted to test her skills against someone who had wiped the floor with several of the world's best. Unfortunately for her, such demands were soaked in a sense of entitlement and arrogance. If Honiko was arrogant then it was well-deserved and well-earned. She was the Dragon Sage, she was the Snake Sage, she was destiny incarnate. Everything she did was to fulfill a higher order purpose and so when she walked among the spiritually dead she naturally carried herself the way a proud lion would if it came into contact with a maggot. She was not here to entertain Nariko's fantasies of battle. She was not inclined to fight for her amusement or need to know what she was capable of. Akame's warrior spirit was intriguing and had the woman asked her for a fight privately rather than ignorantly attaching it to negotiations then it was likely that the Dragon Sage would oblige her. It appeared as though her Raikage's desire to look strong in the face of a foreign terrorist outweighed the importance of mutual respect between foes. Honiko did not blame the Raikage for her demands. In the woman's shoes she may have done the same. The goal of a Raikage is to protect the village's interests and not cater to the egos of enemies or the pleas of their Captains. Honiko did not personally hate them for making the demand but she was agitated about how quickly they had forgotten who she was and what she was capable of. The decision to command her was admirable but ultimately a failure grounded in hubris and faulty memory. This was something she would seek to correct with fire and brimstone.

Fire was a cleansing agent. It wrought permanent and unending change on all it touched. It scarred and branded in such a horrible fashion that its victims would never forget the encounter. It was seared into their flesh and in their minds for the rest of their days. The visible effects recognizable to any who happened on them. That is what she would need to do here. Her disciples' contribution to this holy project would be their test. A determination of how far they had come and how far they had yet to go.

As Akame began to speak Honiko maintained key awareness of all persons in her vicinity, noting all things of significance and insignificance about their bodies. She noticed that Nariko had seen the snakes as did her clone. The moment her eyes narrowed and her jaw set Honiko knew what was to come next. The clone poofed and when it did all of the natural energy that it had gathered was transferred to the real Honiko. An invisible burst of natural energy infiltrated the area just as Nariko had entered stage two of the Lightning Release Armour technique. Just as the Raikage's appearance had changed so had Honiko's. The woman's burn scars had become a deeper red and the dull crimson of her eyes grew fiery with a red ethereal glow encapsulating her white hair. Her headband shifted to the the top of her head as two horns sprouted from her forehead as though she were a Dragon. Behind her, two invisible wings of nature chakra stretched and flapped generating an air current in response to the Raikage's sudden aggression. A technique bubbled just underneath her skin as she prepared for imminent battle. This in of itself may have been enough to cause the Kumo shinobi to flip out and Honiko was on guard and ready to react should it be the case. If not, then Nariko would continue to re-iterate her demands clearly angry that Honiko had escalated the situation.

Honiko looked at Nariko with with a neutral expression as she delivered her "final offer" so to speak. Her Sensei had a curious taste in jinchurikki candidates. Perhaps her disciples weren't the only ones destined to be tested today.

Honiko pushed off into the sky at her maximum speed using her wings to put significant distance between herself and the two Kumo-Nin. The Dragon Sage climbed into the airspace 80 meters above them as she called out her answer:

"勇敢だが愚かな影の少女! Then your village will burn and you along with it!"

Honiko formed a single seal, filled her lungs with chakra, and exhaled an unholy wall of flames at Akame, Nariko, and the rapidly exiting Iro. The gargantuan sea of fire was a technique that Honiko had been known to use before at the Valley of Jehoshaphat. The Great Fire Annihilation Technique would slam into the Raikage's building and consume everything ontop of it and reducing her targets to ash. The flames were white hot as was signature of the Dragon Sage and it tore through and melted the very foundations of the structure. The sheer might and range of the technique was sufficient to completely obliterate the building as a whole leaving nothing but ruination in the jutsu's wake. Any items, objects, or information of worth would be reduced to nil upon contact with the burning hot flames. The fire was so hot and destructive that it would likely burn the adjacent buildings coming close as to incinerate the entire area sans where Balerion and her disciples were.

Honiko kept herself afloat in the air with her dragon wings as she surveyed the damage her jutsu would wrought certain that the battle had only just begun. To all of those looking at her it would appear as though she was merely floating in the air, upheld and propelled by an invisible force.

If all went as planned she expected that Balerion would soon join her in the sky high above their opponents.

The two women before her were certainly outspoken and displayed great feats of strength. She was surprised Honiko had not lost her head and combat ensued. Instead cooler heads prevailed and they were still on negotiating terms...at least that's what it seemed. Shortly following Honiko's response brought aggression from Nariko making herself rather clear that she was the one in charge and she was not willing to bend to Honiko's terms. It had gotten to the point that either Honiko would kneel and obey Nariko's demands or a death match would begin. Iro was anxious, and before she had much to think or prepare before her name was called.

She was given her own supplementary task which was equally important and preferred in this case. She was no Kage or ANBU Captain. She was not incapable of fighting an S-rank criminal, but certainly they had the situation handled. Instead she was must needed elsewhere. There was no doubt Honiko's Society was a large organization. She, without a doubt, had spies and personnel in the village. If Honiko did decide to fight Nariko and Akame at this moment the spies would be in position to launch attacks to raze attempt to raze the village. Iro was tasked to gather whoever she could find to halt any threatened areas, the most notable being the large snakes slithering throughout the village disregarding the order and civility the city had.

Iro would nod. "Okay!" She said before departing with a backwards jolt spacing five meters between her original position next to Nariko before making a break to the right and eventually off the ledge scaling down the side of the building before making her sprint to the the downtown area.

As Akame asked permission to speak, Nariko nodded to her ANBU captain. She was completely fine with letting her talk, as the Raikage trusted Akame more than most people she knew. She was a capable warrior, and quite intelligent as well. Her opinion was well valued, which was one of the reasons for her swift promotions up the ladder. That girl was more intelligent than she was, and probably a more capable fighter, which was one of the reasons she had chose her to do the exhibition. Many people would make the mistake of thinking that Nariko, as the Raikage, was the most powerful in the village, but there were a handful of individuals she wasn't sure she'd beat in a battle.

Akame was among that group, with the Thundercats and Sakata perhaps the others. Together, they could handle almost any threat sent their way for sure, a group of Kage level individuals on their own merit.

Still, as Akame spoke, something set Nariko off. The city was in disturbance for more than just Honiko's appearance. She could see destruction and smoke billowing as the summons slithered through the city. Her eyes narrowed and her jaw set. Before Honiko could reply to Akame, Nariko was surrounded by an aura of lightning, heading straight to the 2nd stage of her Lightning Raiton Armor.

Her hair in the ponytail tried to stand on end, but remained in the ponytail as electric energy billowed from her. "Iro! Intercept any shinobi and go with them to secure the threatened zones." she ordered, knowing that Iro's kekkai genkai was an incredible asset to the village, especially against large summons. She was an incredibly useful shinobi, and Nariko didn't want to communicate her skills out loud, instead trusting Iro to know why Nariko specifically chose her. "As for you Honiko, you made a massive mistake, threatening my village in the midst of negotiations. You will fight Akame, outside the village, now, and I will be there to watch. The terms are now final. If you refuse them now, I will kill you myself."

She understood why Honiko made this move, but she would pay dearly for it. The truce they may come to would be temporary, and Honiko was a fool if she thought she would be allowed to leave once the terms were completed. However, she was right about this. Nariko couldn't make the first move while there was a potential threat to her villagers. She knew that she was in a tough position, but she didn't let it show, but her anger was on full display. If Honiko dared attack, she wouldn't live long enough to reap the benefits of whatever she attempted. Kumo would rebuild, but the Society would be fully wiped out for this.

Akame stayed silent as her kage and Honiko exchanged words. The woman's response to the conditions was interesting to see. As was expected, she appeared somewhat annoyed initially. The ANBU captain missed nothing, her mind processing Honiko's words even as they were spoken. From the way she had acted previously, this was the outcome that she had considered most likely once Nariko had delivered her own demands to the terrorist. That same calculating mind also knew the current odds. As it stood, two of the village's strongest were within striking distance of the woman. Akame also had a good angle of attack on Honiko, being on three sides. Her group was a ways away and would not be able to interfere quickly enough to be of any use in the initial exchange. As it stood, this was the most advantageous position they were going to have if they were going to kill her. That it was in the middle of the village was truly unfortunate, but the hard truth was that this was their best shot.

Despite this thought, none of the clones would move. Rather, the real Akame would take a couple steps forward before turning to Nariko and dipping her head respectfully. "If I may, m'lady." With Nariko's permission, Akame would turn her attention back to Honiko.

Like a switch, Akame's full attention was primed on Honiko. Every emotion she had felt before was wiped clean from her conscious, the cold and calculating mind behind the "Blade Queen" of Kumogakure coming to life. To the few sensors there were, a small shift in her chakra signature would be felt due to her complete and utter shift in her emotional state. Behind that empty mask burned two dark eyes devoid of emotion, their harsh glare staring at their target.

The words she spoke next sounded nothing like the woman who had initially greeted Honiko. They were cold and methodical, each one coming smoothly from her lips without any hesitation. Each word had meaning to it, as there usually were no words spoken when Akame decided to get serious.

"Your lack of self-awareness when it comes to arrogance is stunning, Honiko. Do not think that we have not prepared for this intensely over the last two years. We are not a land known for getting caught lying down twice," she began. Akame made no gesture to draw her blade, only pausing for a breath. Afterwards, the cold monotone would continue. "We will fight now, but we will not do so in the village. Your disciples will leave out of the same gate we do, and they can stay fifty meters outside the gates. That's enough leeway for a response on our side and a head start on yours," she continued, completely logically. This woman came across as the religious type, and had referred to her comrades as "disciples". Logic was the only way to break through that dogmatism in her experience. The Jashinists were multiplying like flies within the village recently, something Akame had mixed feelings about. If this woman had enough faith in her people to bring them to fight in the heart of their enemy, then she should have enough faith in them to survive with the odds in their favor.

"Only you and I will go. If both of us do not return by sundown to the same gate, the deal will be off and both sides may do as they please." Akame paused here before continuing with her next few words, these being mulled over as to whether or not to say them to this terrorist. Hopefully a woman who destroyed entire towns on a whim had a twisted sense of honor, as those without any were truly degenerate. Relying on your adversary to keep their word was not usually something one did unless both sides had a certain level of honor. It was how the samurai fought, and Akame could respect it to a degree. Sometimes though... you just had to get your hands dirty. "Just as you wish to test your people, so too do we wish to test ours. I can see the honor in that; can you?" The ANBU awaited her reply or an interruption on the part of her kage. Hopefully Nariko would not do so, as there were some other things that the two of them both wanted to know.

More than the fight, there were some questions that the ANBU wanted answered. First and foremost, if this woman knew anything about an old man sealing shit inside of people. Everything had happened in such a tight time frame that Akame could feel nothing but suspicion towards the timing. There was even a large forest fire in the Land of Fire a few days before that life-changing event, and then complete silence for two years. Perhaps Honiko would take Akame's curiosity from earlier into account in her judgement of all this. The ANBU had never gotten to ask her question, and she quite badly wanted to know the answer. As a show of good faith, the clones Akame had created would all disperse. It was a significant strategic advantage to give up, and given the circumstances, should be more than enough to know that Akame was being truthful in her offer. She did not want to destroy her village. She DID want to fight this terrorist, however. Once Honiko's clone was back in range, Akame would note its approach as well as its general actions.

The Raikage did not back down on the importance of using her village gates. The woman was not quick to violence but she was no slouch either. She did have a point though and Honiko admired the fact that she was willing to fight her on that small point. It was small but meaningful. A village had the right to secure its borders and while she did not care for the concept of villages to begin with it would be a declaration of war to willingly violate a base's sovereignty. If Kumo allowed the Society to do this and word got out then other villages might try the same. Honiko nodded her head in understanding. She was willing to assent to the woman's point. Nariko went on to agree to the terms and as she spoke the Dragon Sage could see her earlier made clone enter the skyline through her peripheral vision. The clone was rapidly advancing to her location by jumping from rooftop to rooftop in response to the tension and sheer presence of the shinobi she was in the midst of. Honiko's body language relaxed and became less rigid as Nariko agreed to her terms but posed certain stipulations. She wanted Honiko to fight her ANBU Captain so she could gauge her abilities. Nariko was so starved for information on Honiko's strength that she was willing to outright refuse the woman's proposition for it. She was willing to bring war to her own doorstep just for the chance to see the Dragon Sage in action. It was an unusual request and not one that Honiko had expected Nariko to make.

Honiko noted the presence of the real Akame, the apparent ANBU Captain that she was to fight. Honiko wondered if the woman feared sending her real form on the rooftop based on the Sage's reputation. She had spoken earlier as though she was itching to fight the Dragon Sage which piqued Honiko's curiosity. Honiko was more than confident that she could fight her way out of these circumstances but it would put a damper on things. She had not come here to wage war with Kumogakure but rather to test her disciples in a structured environment. There was much to be gained from fighting this ANBU Captain especially since Honiko was aware of her status as Jinchurikki. There was valuable information on how strong she was and what kind of threat she posed to the Society. Her Master had seen fit to endow her with the holiest of artifacts. This woman would not be an easy target and if Honiko was able to best her then killing would be out of the question on principle if her Sensei had deigned to give her a Bijuu. This of course put Honiko at a bit of a disadvantage as the Raikage was quick to point out. A kill from her would provoke a response from Kumogakure and would of course hurt her Sensei's plans (not that Nariko was aware of that), a kill from Akame would eliminate an international foe. The terms were a bit one-sided even though the Dragon Sage had marched in with bold demands herself. The Raikage was a shrewd negotiator and what she lacked in brawn she appeared to make up for in intellect and strategy. Menza would love this one.

    "Hm."

It was the first time in awhile that she was uncertain on a course of action. She considered the various options. The main barrier to her acceptance was that Honiko was not some prized fighter. She would not fight for the glory or benefit of another just because they demanded it. Who was Nariko to pit her against a jinchurikki? The idea of fighting at someone's behest grated against her spirit but what she stood to gain was valuable as well. A temporary base in the heart of Kumogakure to conduct her experiments and entry of her nin into the tournament to measure their skills. She was willing to pit Nozomi and Raijin against the shinobi of Kumogakure in order to gauge their strength, would it not be hypocritical for her to be unwilling to do the same? They were willing to fight for her, to die for her, and she would not fight for their sake? A mere exhibition match? Honiko considered accepting when something the Raikage had said stuck out to her.

"If we kill you, our deal is safe to assume broken as well, but then you wouldn't pose much of a threat if you lose as it is, so there'd be no reason to worry about your group waging war on us."
"so there'd be no reason to worry about your group waging war on us."
"so there'd be no reason to worry"

The Raikage underestimated her disciples. It was clear in their body language and tone that they truly believed she was alone here. That Nozomi and Raijin were not factors to consider. It was an insult to her organization and by extension to herself. Worse yet it was an insult to her Sensei, the man who was their true founder and leader. The impudence. The arrogance. Two years had softened their minds and healed their wounds. They had forgotten what she alone was capable of doing and now acted as though they were her equal. Perhaps their memory needed refreshing. Honiko was not an ooverly prideful woman. She was willing to fight if it meant her Society's work could continue but the crass and callous nature of the woman's words had provoked her. For all her talk of destiny and divine purpose, Honiko was only human.

"I think not. If you wish to assess my capabilities you may do so now. I warn you however you do so at your own peril and that of your village. My previous offer stands for the moment but your arrogance is quickly causing me to reconsider"

Honiko would not raise her hand to strike them or make a move against them. True to her word she would not strike the first blow. If they were intent on attacking her then she would fulfill her earlier promise. She hoped her disciples were watching and waiting as the battle could break out at any moment.

(Sorry guys, life's sucked a bit more than I thought it would.)

The real Akame simply joined up with Nariko as she and another ANBU made their way towards the scene. Apparently she knew already. Before any of the clones up top had a chance to ask the woman anything or really reply to the chuunin who had shown up Nariko and company would be there with Akame no longer holding seniority. Akame ignored the chuunin almost completely in this particular situation given that this woman HAD decimated some jonin and chuunin previously. What was a chuunin going to do against her now, then?

The clones would remain on guard as Nariko indicated for everyone to settle down. The various clones kept the level of caution they already had up, though they would not escalate without Nariko's express permission. Honiko gave her terms and Nariko replied with her own conditions. It was a little hasty on her part to so readily accept the proposition was Akame's first thought, but then her own gifted mind would start running a couple different scenarios in her head. She could understand Nariko's agreement in certain situations, but she was not sure if this was one of them and that was the problem.

One of the conditions was interesting; she wanted to see Honiko spar Akame. The ANBU captain said nothing, nor did she move upon this condition being spoken, though she did cease to hide her chakra signature so that she could instead sense Honiko's own. Things had just gotten interesting. An excellent play, Lady Raikage. I see now, she thought to herself. The blank white mask with a single black line running down the center of the face she wore turned its attention towards Honiko who would no doubt be able to guess that the real Akame was the one who had come with Nariko. Would she feel insulted that Akame hadn't deemed her worth her actual presence? From the way she spoke earlier, there was definitely a certain degree of arrogance and pride about Honiko. For once in her life, Akame wasn't entirely sure how things were going to play out in this negotiation. She would keep her eyes peeled to find out, however.

Notes: All the clones are doing the exact same thing as they were last post and Akame is now using sensory. I'll calculate stuff later, if it's necessary.

With the appearance of Nariko, Iro knew the situation was under control. Their exchange of words would end up in a bargaining process with Honiko requesting to set up base in Kumogakure in exchange for a foreign bloodline sample. Making Kumogakure a hideout for 'the Society?' What kind of fool does she take us as? Affiliating with an international terrorist in exchange for a foreign bloodline, which was without a doubt obtained maliciously, would definitely put a target on our heads... The deal did not sit well with Iro's stomach. It spelled bad news in the future for Kumogakure and accepting such an offer would be a greedy mistake. Iro would step away from the door she stood in and approached the side of Nariko at a casual pace stopping just a couple feet behind her.

Nariko's rebuttal was something Iro could respect leadership-wise. Her authoritarian demands regarding village protocol set the line of dominance letting Honiko know that she was a guest and not someone who could walk into any foreign village and bully its Shinobi because of some crimes she committed in the past. It undoubtedly raised a partial smirk on Iro's face to see the Society leader being stood up to. The power playing aside, Nariko did make a counter offer after considering what Honiko said.

Iro found this offer to be somewhat better, albeit still disastrous in the long run. Nariko practically agreed to all of Honiko's terms with some preliminary terms and tasks which needed to be accomplished before execution. What surprised Iro the most was the request of a spar between the ANBU Captain and Honiko. I don't know how much faith you have in our ANBU Captain...but Honiko was able to fight off several Chuunin and Jounin at once. Iro understood this was because Nariko wanted more information about Honiko's abilities, but she questioned if the risks she were pulling were even worth it. So what if the village learned more about her skills, elements, and technique? At what cost was she going to sacrifice her Shinobi and security for, as well as future foreign relations? Deep down Iro felt herself rooting for the latter option where Kumogakure would be forced to arrest Honiko and the fellow society members. It was the nastier route, but in the end serving as the most appealing for the longevity of the village. Iro maintained her focus on Honiko and the dragon, seemingly ready to spring into action now following Nariko's last words. Her mind buzzed as her focus was driven at maximum efficiency.

Rin can't exactly hear what was being said over at the meeting, but he definitely sees quite clearly one beginning to leave while the other emits a rather crackling aura of lightning. From the corner of his eye, and from the low rumbles that he can feel under his feet. Rin catches the sight two gargantuan sized snakes that were unlike any other normal creatures he has seen thus far. There was a mound that traveled along the ground lifting up the dirt and stone as it went including the buildings. It didn't really take a genius on how this was gonna turn out, but Rin certainly didn't expect Honiko to suddenly leap up at blurry high speeds and uttered something that Rin did not understand.

Roughly around the same time, Balerion gave new orders and took off assuming with Nozomi. “The Raikage's pet huh…” Rin almost asked which one, but he refrained from it. With a simple dip of his head, Rin turned on his heel with practiced swiftness and leapt off the building as that white hellfire was coming down on the Raikage Building. Rin quickly redirected slightly by lightly stepping on a wall from a different building to leap off. So as to avoid that initial flame storm threatening to swallow the Raikage building. Rin felt his clone dispersing, but that was fine as he formed the hand seals to perform the Gale Palm. Feeling the fuuton chakra increase his velocity to higher speeds, Rin directed his movement to intercept Iro assuming she managed to escape from Honiko's fire. Creating strong gusts of wind behind him from the amount of speed invested into his body.

Garaga was a complete and total dick. He slithered into the area destroying and killing people with his massive body. He had made his way into the area of the city that appeared to be mainly for manufacturing purposes. He them aimed to destroy the very first factory he came across. The giant monstrosity aiming to obliterate any and all the buildings that made up Senou Chemicals. He'd lash his large and massive body against the structure, toppling them like a deck of cards. He'd use his powerful jaws and also his tails to so the seeds of chaos and mass death. Once he was finished thoroughly annihilating Senou Chemicals then he'd move on to the other factories.

The Three Giant Snakes would see Balerion enter into the sky and at that moment they knew it was time. The three snakes began destroying the Kumogakure City Bank. They used their massive mouths to tear into the structure's roof. All three mouths working to systematically dismantle and destroy the building. They lashed their bodies around in the area annihilating several other important financial buildings that were adjacent to the bank while keeping their minds and eyes on the prize. The snakes continued to bludgeon and hammer those within, killing any guards who happened to be in the area and sending bodies careening through various structures as they mushed them and ate them. The area would be filled with smoke, fire, and the remains of dead bodies. The pounding was loud and reverberated in every direction: above, around, and below. The Giant Snakes had torn through the structure in moments, the six pair of eyes scanning the ruins and seeing the faux vault that was kept in the backroom. The lack of money and guards was enough to tell it that it wasn't here. The creature sniffed curiously and began pummeling the ground of the bank having enough sense to realize that the structure may be keeping its treasures underneath. The snakes continued to attack and as it did it could feel a rumble grow near. The snakes used all three of its heads as a unit to excavate into the ground until its super sharp teeth scrapped against the metal of a steel frame. Jackpot. The snakes let out a mighty cry and as if on cue, Manda made his move.

Manda was burrowing through the ground at an insane speed. He had disregarded what little pretense of care he had operated  under prior to the Three Giant Snakes roar. The creature sped towards the sound and commotion that it could feel aboveground. Manda could see the structural aberration stretching into the ground. A clear indication of an underground vault with money held within. Manda went straight for the bank and wrapped his mighty jaws around it from beneath as the snakes dug from above. Manda was huge. An absolute monstrosity of a summon and easily big enough to fit the entire vault into his mouth. He let the outsized metal fill his mouth before surfacing directly in front of the Three Giant Snakes. The trio of snakes slithered out of the way as Manda emerged from the ground. Manda gripped the vault and set it down on the destroyed street. He coiled his body around it and popped it like a cork using his Coil Technique increasing his strength to the point where it overpowered the steel causing the door to pop off and land several meters away. Inside the was the sum total of all of Kumo's funds. He placed his mouth over the open door and sucked out the money the way a Frenchman might suck the snail out of a shell. He'd use his forked tongue to lap up any remains. Once he had withdrawn all of the money and his mouth was filled with cash, Manda would unsummon himself effectively robbing the village of its entire Treasury. Manda didn't swallow, he wasn't that type of snake.

The Three Giant Snakes then left the area purposefully knocking over as many buildings in the district as their massive bodies could come into contact with.

The Three Giant Snakes slithered through the streets of Kumogakure searching for their prize.Using their eyesight and general human intelligence to ascertain the location of the Kumogakure City Bank. The creatures were gargantuan and had a terrific view of the city skyline. If they reared up to their full height which they occasionally did, they could see Balerion perched on a rooftop covering their Mistress. The trio of snakes growled in disgust at the sight of the dragon and pressed onwards. they would arrive at the bank with a not insignificant amount of displacement and destruction cause by his movement. They were not going out of their way to destroy the city or kill anyone but they were not moving with perfect care either. If people happened to get in their way or couldn't move fast enough then they'd be crushed under the behemoths. The snakes reared up and hovered over the bank as they primed themselves for attack by molding their chakra. They were all looking in different directions to cover a 360 degree view of the area ensuring they'd see anyone coming while maintaining an eye on the bank and Balerion. Millions of ryo just sitting there for the taking.

The sudden flaring of chakra and nature energy in the direction of her real counter-part caused the clone to tense. The clone made a seal and created another clone (Honiko Clone Alph) which ran off in a different direction while this clone (henceforth known as Honiko Clone Bet) notified Morikawa that their meeting was over "It appears our time together is at an end. Consider what I have said. When the time is right, I will find you scholar and when I do....I expect an answer" Honiko Clone Bet took off in another direction gathering nature chakra as it did so and using its Mind's Eye to search for the place where it was most needed.
