As the owl walked up, Dr. Ananta Miura couldn't help but think of her own sweet snakelet. That cold gaze. The posture. The no bullshit attitude. The mask. That special brand of confidence that people had when they were compartmentalizing that special something. The good doctor was never one to judge a piece before noting its brush work though. She would meet the owlet as he came out very calmly hands inside of the pockets of her lab coat. She came here as her own entity, wearing no semblance of the Land of Lightning's name, insignia, or iconography though some might take her golden eyes and hair as a sign of heritage. They'd do so erroneously of course. When she heard the owlet inhale to address her, she use her pockets to pull her lab coat away from herself to do a curtsy of sorts. She did have a small blade and a couple of pouches on her, but it was nothing that would be a threat to any shinobi of meaningful skill.
The owlet would say less yet somehow more than anyone else she'd spoken to up until that point. Ananta was not hiding how she felt, if anything she was leaning into her emotions. Her face would quickly grow a smile. He was a little milquetoast, but his delivery was great. An easy 6/10, a passing score, but could use some work.
"I assure you there's not a brave bone in my body, though I guess whether or not I'm foolish remains to be seen." The trip already bore fruit. Ananta was taking him in. Sizing him up. She offered the owlet a level of respect she had stopped giving the chunin from earlier after her third time explaining herself. As always she remained fully blunt about her intentions, though she was a little more open now that someone, seemingly of authority, had come.
"I am Dr. Ananta Miura. I'm afraid you also misunderstand my intentions. My intentions have nothing to do with Ei Kanagawa herself, nor do I have any ability or interest to find justice for her. I was hoping to exploit the hell you've been raising for the old leadership of this village. I’m here to investigate the previous Kazekage, Ei Kanagawa, the circumstances of her death, and I am looking to discover any traces her assassin may ha-"Somewhere deep beneath the doctor's skin,
Naganori's bones writhed and itched. She hadn't thought to pause for the man approaching until he arrived and took off his mask. She hadn't even really thought to take note of him since he'd approached so casually. Ananta's processing power took a quick dip. She frankly wasn't even sure who he was referring to as friend, regardless she'd respond.
"No. Not at all." The casual smile she'd been giving had taken on notes of surprise and befuddlement as for the first time since the conversation started she held her reaction back. One she struggled to identify.
What an absolute delight, but why is he here now? She would curtsy again. She wondered for a moment if that bee that'd flown off earlier was his, or maybe the owlet's. It was weird to see one alone and in this climate.
She opened her mouth to respond more, but a moment's hesitation would get her cut off again as yet another legend made itself manifest. A third curtsy this time with a
"Your majesty," for she knew not how to address the princess except with respect. It was then she could identify the feeling. She was being lumped in with the nameless, milquetoast, Iwa ninja.
She would respond to the Iwa-nin, more than a little frustrated by her own frankly unspectacular presence. "I am impressed you recognized me as rubbish. Some of you retinue could do with a less or two from you." She referred to the chunin earlier who'd had the gall, in light of the current situation, to think
she might be a problem. "You have such a keen eye though to so quickly recognize me as one of your ilk." Answering the jonin's question but making eye contact with Raijin, she'd continue. "I am Dr. Ananta Miura. A researcher formerly from around the Kaijuu Ocean area. I bear no official ninja rank, and it seems that my business has found me." A cold fear pulsed through Ananta's veins as she spoke. How she wished in this moment that she was
both.
- Well...:
I'm just gonna go ahead and start analysis on everyone [Nameless jounin, Tadara, Sayuri, Raijin] This is magnitudes more wild than I had anticipated. What a game we play.
Also I'm continuing my analysis on the no names that were here before.
