The Village Gates - Page 2 Empty Re: The Village Gates

Post by Seigi Sun Oct 04, 2020 12:52 pm

The vast expanse of sand had been no easier to navigate than the last time Seigi had traveled it, even with his gifts, but the village gates were now within view and Seigi breathed a slight sigh of relief. His bones ached and his body hurt from the journey, but it was nothing he hadn't experienced or felt before. As his feet carried him closer to the village, he would slow down and come to a stop just outside of the gates. The village itself looked like a ghost town, without even a single patrol at the gates. Sand had piled up against the open doors as the village was in disarray, the only sound grabbing Seigi's attention was a loud boom in the distance, seemingly to come from deeper in the village. Unsheathing his Survival Katana, Seigi would open up the bottom of the handle, dipping it into the sand to collect it, before closing it up and doing the same to the small gourd on his right side.

Keeping his blade drawn, Seigi would step foot into Sunagakure, hoping he wasn't too late to find his mark.

[Entering gates, heading to Wind Dome]

Kara wasted no time in leaving. She’d only lived in Sunagakure for just over two years and already she’d lost her taste for the place. When she had first arrived she had seen nothing but opportunity, now all she saw was the skeletal remains of human pride that were just as likely to be buried by the sands that they tried to conquer as they were to rise and take human form. After loading all of her valuables with, hopefully, the assistance of her ‘collector’ she would make her way out of the gates and across the desert in her sand skiff bringing her masked companion with her if he chose. ‘I’m coming, my love. Please be safe.’ Her golden eyes were on the horizon and her heart on the future.

    [C-Rank Guards Interrupting Kara]

Unfortunately, the gates were closed. Sealed shut, the S-Rank walls were now being maintained and manned again for the first time in years. Posted around the gates themselves and on the walls surrounding the gates were a large number of Chunin. Thirty of them had been stationed here, guards of the village who were supposed to keep track of who came in and who came out. Just like any guard, they were supposed to apply a level headed distinction to who they let in or out. None of them seemed to have matching uniforms or were armed, but the formation was just an ad hoc group of whatever could be scrounged together.

Seeing Kara Kazehana approach the gates, none of them made any forward effort to open them for her. Infact, one would approach her just as she approached the gates.

“If you’re looking to leave, you’ll have to follow gate protocol.” The man was young, perhaps only a few years out of the academy. How he managed to become a Chunin was unknown, but his dirty and tattered appearance didn’t assist in making him look particularly threatening. In his hands a blank form was offered forward.

A raised eyebrow was the only response the dirty man and unarmed man before her received for several moments. Of all the stupidest things to occur that day, this one took the cake. It was almost enough to make Kara laugh, and she might have had she not been raised better than the man before her clearly was. She would glance around at the assembled group of so-called ‘guards’ and slowly climb down out of the sand skiff she was piloting. With a ‘tsk’ of disapproval she would extend her left hand to take the form from the young man and place it on the edge of the skiff while she searched her bag for a pen. That absolute audacity of the ‘guard’ to hand a recently de-limbed woman a form to fill out was one of the many things she would seek to repress about the Land of Wind.

After a fair amount of struggling and repositioning the form she finally found a way to write without the paper skittering away under the pressure of her pen. With the bottom edge of the paper pinned between her ribs and the skiff she could just about hold it still enough to write legibly. As a doctor her handwriting was already nearly illegible and suddenly being forced to write without her other arm was difficult, but she was left handed fortunately. She muddled through and managed to fill out the form.

    Full Name: Kara Kazehana
    Citizenship: Sunagakure, Land of Wind
Reason for Leaving/Entering: Headed to Kirigakure for advanced facilities for medical care (re: missing arm)
Expected Duration: Until appropriate medicine and therapies have been applied. No longer than six months.

With another raised eyebrow she would hand the form back to the young man while still keeping her pen curled in three of her fingers. Assuming he took it, she kept her face otherwise impassive as she waited for the young man to allow her to pass, she was well aware that he had no reason to actually question her. It was plainly obvious that she was missing an arm, and that she was the most skilled medical practitioner in Suna, only the most idiotic would be unaware of who she was. Even a youth such as him would most likely be able to put together that she couldn’t patch herself up perfectly due to the nature of her injury. Or so she hoped since she was utterly sick of the sand and all the insanity the heat and sun had caused within it. “I assume I may go now?”

    [Analyzing everyone - (30 C-Class guards)]

The form was filled out, and once handed back to the Chunin at the gates he would scan over it for a few moments. It didn’t take more than a moment to read over it, but his eyes would glance back at Kara between each line. He didn’t fail to notice the lack of arm, and it wasn’t as if he hadn’t recognized her either. She was famous enough for even this riff raff to know her identity, but bureaucracy didn’t stop for anyone. It wasn’t as if they had stopped her out of any particular cruelty, but the picture of an armless woman traveling to the gates in a skiff, clearly recently injured, was suspicious in its own right.

“You do realize there’s a hospital in Sunagakure, right? It’s in the Heavenly Gardens…”

Not that Sunagakure likely had the top of the line medical procedures or especially skilled doctors, but when it came to a serious and immediate injury like losing your arm, it didn’t seem like traveling to an entirely different country for care, a trip that could take days, would be the most logical choice. Especially alone. What if her situation worsened and she passed out, or needed serious medical care on the way to Kirigakure?

“Well. Whatever, I can’t force you to go there. You’re free to do as you please.”

Of course, they didn’t get paid enough to care either. They were hardly paid at all. The man gave a shrug of his shoulders, and gave a small gesture towards the guards standing on the walls. A few moments later the gates would open, and the guard who had been standing in her way would step to the side so as to not be run over by her sandskiff. The gates would be closed behind her after she passed through, shut and secured just as they had been.

For the second time in that brief interaction Kara nearly laughed. The idea that the hospital in Sunagakure was sufficient was amusing. But she merely nodded keeping her wits about her and an eye out for her companion and any new potential threats. She was no longer in immediate danger from bleeding out as her mysterious companion had closed the wound with a medical technique, but she wasn’t about to let her guard down and allow any more harm to come to her person. Once outside the village gates she would slow down the skiff to allow Seigi to follow with her once he was through. It was going to be a long and interesting trip.

Once Kara was free of the gates and they swung closed behind her, Seigi began to plan his escape, knowing he couldn't use the normal method of going through. Sunagakure would most likely be sure to not approve of him being here unannounced, which meant he needed to be smart about this. Quickly forming the necessary handsigns, Seigi would use the Transparent Escape Technique, hiding appropriately. He would approach the gates, careful to avoid any guards, and would mold chakra around his feet, walking up and over the wall, and onward to meet Kara.

Approaching the Sunagakure village Gates, Ei would sigh. Glancing over at the massive stone walls and the variety of guards standing on them it was clear to see there was still plenty of work to be done. Simply put, Sunagakure didn’t have the funds or resources on its own to create an empire similar to Kirigakure or Kumogakure. Or even Konohagakure. In order for the village to be truly great she would have to secure more resources for her village, that would hopefully allow it to grow even further and expand even further.

A doppleganger expelled from her body. Not a clone, but an extension of the Fission technique. The Fission would be sent out, past the gates on a secret mission, while the original would return back into Sunagakure. Hopefully this would be quick. She would be flanked by a number of Sunagakure Chunin, following behind in a decent display of discipline.

    [Returning from Land of Rivers]

Ei returned to Sunagakure, only to remember that she had left an artifact in the Land of Rivers. How foolish of her. She would immediately double back and return for it. The Infinite Armor had been something that came with the Land of Rivers, and as a result by conquering it she would receive the armor as well, but only if she actually kept track of it. Returning it to Sunagakure would be her highest priority.

Nozomi had stripped Ei's corpse of all her belongings, the exclusive scrolls, and Suna's artifacts after she'd killed the woman, incinerating her body after a time. She left them in the village's vault, with her personal guards there to defend them while she dealt with the Konoha nuisance. She didn't really like working with the major villages, but she'd taken up the persona of Ei Kanagawa in order to benefit the Society by gaining more power and resources, so she was using Suna as a front.

While the other villages were wrapped up in war, Suna and the Society continued to gain resources and power, focusing on training rather than participating fully in the war itself. Ei's last acts had benefited Nozomi's agenda greatly, as Konoha wanted the Land of Rivers enough to deliver 3 nations to Suna, and by proxy, Nozomi's control, which would place her directly in control of 5 Nations, with diplomatic ties to another in Iron, the support of Okane, a debt owed by Kara, and the entire Society.

Still, maintaining her Perfect Copy for the time being as she left Suna's walls, NozomEi took off towards the Land of Rivers to rendezvous with Zenaku.

Fission Nozomi arrived back in Suna, having recently switched back to her Ei disguise when she entered the range of the city. Upon reaching the gates, she headed to the Administration building, dropping off the armor she'd been carrying with the rest of the vault, before heading back to the gates to rejoin Nozomi Prime.

Her assistant gave her two different letters, one with the location of the Land of Birds, and the other about the Kage Summit being planned. The Fission gave some new deployment orders in case they weren't back for the budget planning of next month. Then she took her leave.

Nozomi was a very independent woman, and being apart from herself for any real length of time was annoying, especially since she was weakened during the fission split a considerable amount. Not physically, but with half her chakra and being unable to utilize her highest level jutsu.

Having returned from the Summit, Nozomi entered the village. She had given over control to Iwa, but still needed to finalize that stuff and let people know so that they didn't think there was some sort of invasion force coming out of nowhere. Not that she really cared at this point. Her main goal was no longer focused on raising up the village as its leader.

Zephyr would sling a bag of travel supplies over his shoulder as he read his orders. He was to go to the another land and find any civilization there before reporting back to some overseer that Okane seemed to trust. So he would show his papers at the gate before taking off full speed to his destination.

Chen, Tadara and three bodyguards would arrive at the gates of Sunagakure no Sato. Along the way Chen would have explained to Tadara what his plan was. The old and elderly had had their way with the Village Hidden in the Sand for far too long. The people of Suna needed new leadership but they first had to be forced to abandon all pretense of self-sufficiency.

It had been quite some time since had been back to the dune like village. He had been fond of the weather and the improvements Okane had made to the place since he was last here. They had just been robbed by Ei. Whom had become the Kazekage anyways, but her disappearance said a lot. Which meant Nozomi had most likely killed her. Raijins world domination plan would be on hiatus without a proper squad. Looking for potentials in the major nations would have to suffice for now. He was going to have to conscript, the old fashion way if need be. Bayushi walked past the gates, as there seemed to be a ruckus going on in the city. He was of course cloaked in black with a mask covering his face. He sensed a massacre happening with his Sensory activated. What a delightful time to arrive in Suna.

Someone was doing Jashins work. Which put a smile on Raijins face.

Chen's minion ran through the gates at top speed. He had been told by the Child to conduct a security sweep of the nation's perimeter. By now, the world had gotten wind of what he had done which meant that some goody-two shoes had probably dispatched a force of Nin to stop him. The Iwa shinobi might not be able to engage all of them but he could spot them and bring back some vital information.

“Enough about my chakra. Enough about your Patriotic Sacrifice Brigade.” Ananta spoke a big game to the chunin -she assumed- that met her in front of the gate, but the threat placed by the Iwa nin, the child Chen, shook Ananta to her core. It didn’t feel hateful or rebelious just completely and utterly oppressive. There was a cold ess to it that was different from that of a ninja. It felt more like a doctor removing a cancer. Ananta wasn’t much for the allegory though. Chen was no doctor, and the innocent people who were being threatened were no cancer.

“Ma’am. Here’s the thing. You’re not getting in. The village is under very serious reconstruction right now, and there is a no interference policy in order. Period.”

”I get it. Your hands are tied. Maybe you could let me speak to your jonin commander? My intentions have nothing to do with whatever you’ve got going on in there. No judgement. I honestly don’t care though.” Ananta was almost agitated at the thought of coming all this way only to get stopped at the village gates. To say she didn’t care about the civilians wasn’t exactly true, but she knew there was nothing she could do about it without putting other people’s lives in danger. She didn’t care to explain herself to this smoothie though, so she tried to keep it simple. “I’m here to see investigate the previous Kazekage, Ei Kanagawa, the curcumstances of her death, and I am looking to discover any traces her assassin may have left behind. I just want access to any paperwork and art pieces I can to see if I can find any link or starting point. If I have to sleep out here and read it so be it.” Ananta realized that this was old news, but it also seemed like a great opportunity to get information without commiting multiple war crimes. She revealed part of her hand as a show of faith.

The guards of course held suspicion over anyone coming and going from the village. However commerce was not to be stopped but only delayed for inspection. Shinobi from anywhere would need to be identified if possible as the gates thus had become a control hub for any ongoing activity in the village. The smell of ashes hung on the air still from the burnt bodies but the rivers ran clear again and now there was more than the plenty of food that had been there before. Greenery had spread across the village and vines crept up the once desolate walls. Despite the desert this one location held itself apart. The oasis nearby had been famous for its comfort in its environment but this place...this place had been altered. Crafted by the hands of man to be its own man made paradise. Yet much death had spread throughout it recently. Of course it had been a necessity to anyone removing morales from the subject and even with them it was debatable. Only the close minded and proper did not see the value in it. Of course that was the majority so the guard was alert and ready to fight any attackers that may come...they had rebel factions fighting back behind those walls after all.

Still most shinobi had flat out abandoned this place. Not interested in crossing the powers that be at work here or trapped behind red tape and politics. Chen had no purpose for those and neither did his student. The owl of course was nearby...checking the papers of what was coming in and going out...measuring the economic impact of the village to plan its budgeting a little more thoroughly. Left in a hut with air conditioning and documents piled high with the gate merely fifty meters away. A convenient office space for him since the papers could go straight from the gate to his office every night. Here he remained secluded with no windows however. No direct inlet to the room he presided over. His identity still a mystery from all the citizens of Suna. However upon witnessing the fiasco happening at the gate a bee would leave the guard station and return to him. Flying through a small crack to get into the building before landing on Tadaras ear. Buzzing frantically as if it were speaking to him before sinking into his flesh...like it were sinking into water and rejoining the host.

Tadara would slip on his cloak...designed to keep the heat of the sun directly off his skin and reflect it away....yet still hold a dark color. His mask was designed to allow breathing but filtering the air...allowing him to see and breath normally despite the sand and harsh climate. That aside the hundred rivers in the village dropped the surrounding temperature noticeably. Still his boots would carry him out the door of his office dressed as the owl with the owl anbu mask hiding his features. He was by no means an ANBU but whispers that the owl was key to this all somehow could be heard as he approached the gate. His hands kept under his robes and hidden from view as his black eyes stared out. Empty and cold. Arriving in time to hear the purpose the person came for. The Iwa nin was exasperated but tolerating them but not for much longer. The crowd however near the gate would grow notably silent and those that could would abandon their business at the gate to go inside and lock doors. Those that could not kept silent and averted their gaze. This of course would alert the guard to something unusual and draw his attention to the approaching owl. He would sigh and nod to the cloaked figure before stepping to the next arrival for inspection.

Tadara would step forward. Hidden behind his guise....a purpose to it beyond his own protection. It was a symbol now to spread fear and means for control. Which suited him fin. Still he would approach their new arrival directly. Stopping two meters away if allowed tilting his head. Those empty black eyes studying this individual before him and analyzing them. As if nothing could be hidden from those all consuming eyes....as if they knew every ache....every involuntary flinch. No lies to be tolerated. No patience for games. HIs voice was as empty as those eyes. Lacking emotion.

"What business of a long dead person with no more influence here are you about? Attempting to find justice for them? I think you will find we have our own branch of that concept here. Making you either brave....or foolish. Likely a mixture of both. "

Regardless of the claims on the lands of the Sand. It was always Raijins favorite place to hide. It was he who brought the worthless might of Suna down to the ground with his bare hands. Defeating 40 different A-rank ninja to the death. Before Jashin accepted him as a worthy vessel. And before he became an S-rank missing nin. He had already proven that this land was his to toy with at his pleasure. However there was one thing that made him cautious about the whole project. Foreign ninja. Iwa seized control after Nozomi gave it up. However everyone else was suspect. They had a nasty habit of brining unwanted attention to himself. He was already in the Land of Lightnings bingo book, he didn't need their eyes on him.

Always watchful Raijin began making his to the gate. Armed too the teeth as usual, his swords hanging at his hips. He sensed a presence that was unlike those whom had come to the gates before. With tight security he was able to see another individual encounter this new person making a ruckus at the gates. He was the same one whom he had seen with the other fellow destroying the training grounds. Raijin removed his mask and settled to stop beside Tadara. It didn't matter who saw his face now. Bad news for them.

"My my. Hope there isn't an issue with my friend here?" Raijin said to the visitor with a smirk on his face. Easily recognizable now, it would also say a lot with not much said.

The Jounin's blood ran cold when he returned to the gates. The little ice witch wasn't a problem. She had given him sore looks after he had insisted that she cease whatever Yuki Ninjutsu that she was using, but ultimately she seemed harmless. She had followed him to the gates without incident and she was so petite and naive looking that he believed if it came to blows he could readily deport her should she act up.

The dark skinned man who was now standing behind the Owl was another matter entirely. The individual was immediately recognized as being Raijin. Third-in-command to Honiko Yoshidara and leader of his own secret faction within the Society. There were rumors of him being a deranged Jashinist who took a more...violent...approach than his sister-student Nozomi. Chen's actions in the Oasis were disturbing, but ultimately the Iwa Jounin did not fear the boy nor did he fear the welps in the Sand village. He did, however, fear the Dragon Rider. The high ranking Jounin walked behind the Anata and bellowed loudly to the Kumo shinobi.

    "STEP ASIDE"

He wanted to make it clear that he was in charge here. Although technically this was not true. The Owl was Chen's right hand and thus outranked him despite his formal military status. Assuming the Kumo-Nin made way, he'd bring Sayuri up to the gate to the Owl for process. He'd politely bow to both the Owl and Raijin. He did not wish to offend this man. The Jounin correctly surmised that if Raijin had a mind to he could end this little project with little resistance. The Child, the Princess and the Owl were not in any position to stop him.

    He first addressed Raijin.

"Raijin of the Enlightened Society. I must inform you that entry to most interlopers is forbidden, however Lord Chen has decreed that any one of significant rank may enter for talks. As a leading member of your organization, I do believe you would be well received."

He then turned to the Owl.

"This is Princess Sayuri Yuki of Kirigakure. She is one of their leaders and demands an audience with Lord Chen. You can take them both to see him. We can deal with this rubbish." he jerked a disrespectful thumb in the Cloud shinobi's direction.

He then turned around to face Anata. He didn't hear the early part of her speech as to why she was here but she didn't look that interesting. "Name, rank and business in the Oasis. Unless you are an important ambassador, get lost!"

Somewhere along the way to the city of sand Jareth had released his hold over Sayuri, and she now had full control over her own faculties. He had tired of walking after the jounin and left the more menial task to Sayuri. She didn’t realise that Jareth was giving her the terrible job, she was ecstatic to be in her body once more. As they arrived at the gates Sayuri took note of the people gathered; various guards or ‘official’ type people although they could have just as easily been regular civilians and Sayuri would have still paid them no mind, a man in an owl mask and someone she actually recognized - Raijin. She would lock eyes with the leader of the Death Eaters and give him a pleasant smile. Even she didn’t think this was the place to exchange pleasantries, so she would hold her tongue until she was safely inside.

She nodded to those present, in the sort of ‘regal acknowledgement of a person’s presence’, but she took no interest in any of those present. She had one goal, one desire. She wanted to meet Chen. Lord Chen by all accounts, she wondered if he’d given himself that title. She was still clothed in the snow white gown that she’d brought and at her hip were two small daggers, and a small pouch. She had nothing else besides, that anyone could physically observe, and she made no movements towards the daggers. Assuming no one stopped her, she would step through the gates with The Owl and into the village proper with all the grace and familiarity of someone used to getting their way.

As the owl walked up, Dr. Ananta Miura couldn't help but think of her own sweet snakelet. That cold gaze. The posture. The no bullshit attitude. The mask. That special brand of confidence that people had when they were compartmentalizing that special something.  The good doctor was never one to judge a piece before noting its brush work though. She would meet the owlet as he came out very calmly hands inside of the pockets of her lab coat. She came here as her own entity, wearing no semblance of the Land of Lightning's name, insignia, or iconography though some might take her golden eyes and hair as a sign of heritage. They'd do so erroneously of course. When she heard the owlet inhale to address her, she use her pockets to pull her lab coat away from herself to do a curtsy of sorts. She did have a small blade and a couple of pouches on her, but it was nothing that would be a threat to any shinobi of meaningful skill.

The owlet would say less yet somehow more than anyone else she'd spoken to up until that point. Ananta was not hiding how she felt, if anything she was leaning into her emotions. Her face would quickly grow a smile. He was a little milquetoast, but his delivery was great. An easy 6/10, a passing score, but could use some work. "I assure you there's not a brave bone in my body, though I guess whether or not I'm foolish remains to be seen." The trip already bore fruit. Ananta was taking him in. Sizing him up. She offered the owlet a level of respect she had stopped giving the chunin from earlier after her third time explaining herself. As always she remained fully blunt about her intentions, though she was a little more open now that someone, seemingly of authority, had come. "I am Dr. Ananta Miura. I'm afraid you also misunderstand my intentions. My intentions have nothing to do with Ei Kanagawa herself, nor do I have any ability or interest to find justice for her. I was hoping to exploit the hell you've been raising for the old leadership of this village. I’m here to investigate the previous Kazekage, Ei Kanagawa, the circumstances of her death, and I am looking to discover any traces her assassin may ha-"

Somewhere deep beneath the doctor's skin, Naganori's bones writhed and itched. She hadn't thought to pause for the man approaching until he arrived and took off his mask. She hadn't even really thought to take note of him since he'd approached so casually. Ananta's processing power took a quick dip. She frankly wasn't even sure who he was referring to as friend, regardless she'd respond. "No. Not at all." The casual smile she'd been giving had taken on notes of surprise and befuddlement as for the first time since the conversation started she held her reaction back. One she struggled to identify. What an absolute delight, but why is he here now? She would curtsy again. She wondered for a moment if that bee that'd flown off earlier was his, or maybe the owlet's. It was weird to see one alone and in this climate.

She opened her mouth to respond more, but a moment's hesitation would get her cut off again as yet another legend made itself manifest. A third curtsy this time with a "Your majesty," for she knew not how to address the princess except with respect. It was then she could identify the feeling. She was being lumped in with the nameless, milquetoast, Iwa ninja.

She would respond to the Iwa-nin, more than a little frustrated by her own frankly unspectacular presence. "I am impressed you recognized me as rubbish. Some of you retinue could do with a less or two from you." She referred to the chunin earlier who'd had the gall, in light of the current situation, to think she might be a problem. "You have such a keen eye though to so quickly recognize me as one of your ilk." Answering the jonin's question but making eye contact with Raijin, she'd continue. "I am Dr. Ananta Miura. A researcher formerly from around the Kaijuu Ocean area. I bear no official ninja rank, and it seems that my business has found me." A cold fear pulsed through Ananta's veins as she spoke. How she wished in this moment that she was both.

    Well...:

The owl would shift to glance over his shoulder at the sudden appearance of Raijin. The man was known ahead of himself by his reputation. A walking powerhouse of destruction that could quell an entire populace if he wished. Likely Tadara would be no match for him in a confrontation. However the words alone did not ring with threats but amusement...at least that was the emotion he attributed it to. It was hard to tell without having analyzed the mans personality in depth. Still Tadara would remain silent. Those black eyes watching from behind the mask. How interesting. The mans value surpassed everyone there at the gate. Perhaps even combined. That was until yet another arrival came. This time with a loud jounin who worked for Chen directly. He was leading a female behind him. Of course Tadara would recognize someone of so much importance within the world. Raijin was his own kind of beast but she...she was another all together. Two people of significant rank and power at the gates at the same time. If Chen were to gather them to his side it would ensure the security of his recent claim....if not...well than they could tear apart the whole village.

It was a gamble of course but one that Tadara would simply watch play out. Of course he was running theoretical trials in his mind of the different ways it could all play out. If positively it would be a boon but if negatively...his survival would have to outweigh Chens for him. Chen was an abrupt and proud man...how he clashed with these two would determine his features. Still according to instructions both would be granted an audience immediately. Tadara would merely nod from behind his owl mask and turn and lead them where they would find Chen. Only making a small detour to the chemistry labs in Suna to pick up his creation. Having spent a hundred thousand ryo. He would collect three black boxes. Each with three smaller black boxes lined with black velvet...filled with a god pill for each of the smaller boxes. Of course he had his own three god pills already...and chen his...so picking up nine more was for...other purposes. Six of them would go to their guests as a gift likely...but they would need to come from Chen...Tadara as the owl did not seek the attention from these two until their purpose was more clear. From there he would lead them to Chens Sanctum through the village hidden in the Oasis. Leaving the Kumo nin to be berated at the gates.

The Village Gates - Page 2 Empty Re: The Village Gates

Post by Bayushi Sat Feb 05, 2022 9:48 pm

Interesting developments at the gates prompted some type of enjoyment from Raijin. It had been some while since he had seen such interaction. His time in Isle of Whispers was but a memory now and none of it were good ones. The others had noticed that the Dragon King was now among them. Raijin didn't outwardly present a threat. However his dangerous reputation always made him as such. The Iwa and Suna ninja had nothing to do with interests at this point, though that changed when another guard led a woman behind him. It was Sayuri. She noted his presence and also did with a nod and a smile towards her. This chance meeting was how they met in the first place they had a lucky sense of timing with one another.

Before Raijin could note the entrance, the Iwa Jounin stepped forward past the visitor. Announcing to Raijin that he was invited to an audience to a Lord Chen. Raijin figured this was the man he was looking for anyways so that saved the effort of finding him. "I am no longer of the Society. But I guess I can meet this Lord Chen. Mostly because she's going." He said jabbing a thumb at the Princess with the same smirk on his face.

He was thinking to let the Iwa nin deal with the visitor. Baysuhi was about to turn and walk with the rest of the group with Tadara leading. That was until the visitor spoke again, stating with haste their business there. To investigate the circumstances around Ei's death. Raijin was aware they were actively hunting her and Nozomi for stealing from them before. Either way they  were looking into something that may lead back to the Society.

Triggered. As the others began to walk away Raijin activated his Sage Transformation. Going into the Second state, his body turned scaly with dark grey armor encasing him. He pulled out Kusanagi from his sash and pointed it at the woman. "I'll take that invite soon. But before I step back in. This Dr. Anita here is going to tell me where she's really from. The hard way." Bayushi sensed strong chakra levels with this Doctor and knew they were no ordinary citizen.

Raijin walked forward keeping the blade between himself and the Kumo nin till they were only a few meters away. Speaking directly to the Doctor. "Lets go for a walk. Just us, well and the Death Eaters of course." Raijin said this last bit loud enough for Sayuri to overhear. An open invitation into something she would definitely enjoy. He gestured for Dr. Anita to walk back down the path that led to the village. If she obliged his orders and they started moving, he would walk behind her with his sword still held high. His first question would be, "Now what village?"
