Capturing an Escaped Criminal

Description: A thief had been identified and captured but managed to pick his own cuffs and escape his captors. You are to track him down as a two man team and recapture him. Alive. (All D rank stats and a D rank switchblade)

Word had it earlier in the day a petty thief had been caught and captured by shop keeps after finding out he had been stealing from their market stands, but they somehow managed to get out of their handcuffs and was set free, taking off running and evading the shopkeeps. Now they have turned to the Village, requesting the aid in capturing this thief from the village, and putting up a reward for doing so--worth roughly the amount of goods they had stolen. With the lack of many helping hands around, Konoha still a bit short-staffed after the whole Iwagakure kerfuffle, and with many of the Genin away to the Chuunin exams, but luckily...tracking down and capturing a dumb thief was right up the alley of two Genin. The Shinku twins. Having spent years in the woods hunting for food...the two made for a hell of a tracker team. This may had been why they was picked for the Mission--they'd not too long ago tracked and captured a Dog...not a big jump from that to capturing a human. Hell maybe it'd be easier, at least a Human had logical thoughts and expectations to manipulate and exploit.

Tsukiyo stepped into the Cemetery of Konoha, the place they had seen the escaping thief run into to get away--making it the last place he was spotted. The woman had taken some time in between now and the last Mission to change up her outfit, a lot. She had what could be described as a Kimono, but the left shoulder, sleeve, and even most of the torso of the top was gone, almost like someone had simply cut it away...as that is exactly what Tsukiyo had done. She couldn't feel too traditional. The bottom part of the kimono hugged around her curvy hips like a loose skirt, the breeze able to easily make the lengthy ends flutter up. The split was right about her thigh, letting just enough skin to show to be suggestive, while also revealing her leg holster. Fishnet covered multiple parts of her, including her bust...due to the way her top was, the woman basically had half her bust freely showing, only covered by a single bandage strip wrapped about her torso a few times in that spot, and the before mentioned netting. Still didn't leave much to the imagination...the woman was attractive and knew it, she'd use it to her advantage against weaker minds who think with the head below their belts.

Her pink-red hues glared about the Cemetery, narrow with a natural angered look, basically default for Tsukiyo. "Well...guess we're starting here. You ready, Ten-Nii?" she asked, glancing over to where she knew her Brother was, hoping he was as ready as she was. She had all her gear, they simply needed to capture this one, not kill him...this really did feel like a repeat of their last Mission, but, it did have raised stakes. He was believed to be armed, although deemed not much a threat to most shinobi. Still, Tsukiyo wasn't the strongest physically, and had to watch herself around anyone it seemed. If her mind games and jutsu didn't work--she had little means to defend herself. She reached up, gripping her right wrist with her left hand, fingers pressing between the joint to make the wrist pop as she looked forward, ready to let Tengoku take the lead.

Tengoku would be very hesitant behind his ever so brave sister. He was in his usual black boots with black jeans tucked over the sides of his heels. His belt had a special slot in it now that tightly held a common katana on his hip usually but for now it was pulled free. He was wearing his typical black T shirt only this one had an anime emblem on the front for some sort of anime called Wolf's Rain. He had taken to watching it lately and even managed to acquire a shirt for himself at some point. His usual fur long coat hung down to his knee's and his white hair and ears twitched in the cold breeze. His silver eyes darting around as he clutched the before mentioned sheathed katana to his own chest with both arms. Hunched over as he looked around like he was on the verge of whimpering, Which truthfully he might be. It wasn't out of fear for some escaped criminal. That was just another idiot they had to track down. His sister would mess up the guys mind and they would drag in a drooling mess together. No it was something more sinister than a mere mortal.

A cemetery. Why did it have to be a cemetery? Spooky scary skeletons and ghosts that would haunt them and zombies were gonna eat them. Ghouls and vampires and all manner of unpleasant creature might be stalking them this very moment. He didn't feel like the hunter here. Instead his superstitions were getting the better of him. He would glance back behind them quickly as he thought he heard a noise as he looked around in vain. It was only when his irritated sister addressed him that he realized she had gotten a significant distance away. A whole five meters. He would let out a small huff of air in surprise before quickly gaining the ground back and staying virtually in her shadow. He would look to her and then back around them as she asked if he was ready. A couple of foot prints were in some soft dirt heading east nearby but what if they weren't the thieves? What if it was a vampire seeking to suck their blood and turn them into eternal slaves? He would shiver at the thought and almost bump into her as he tried to get closer. His ears flattening.

"F...Foot prints over there....heading east."

She had sort of missed it, having to turn juuust a bit further then expected in her glance to even find Tengoku. He was lagging a bit behind, hunched over, and looking around like he seen a gh--....Ohhhh. She didn't even need a mind link to read his body language and put it together with their location. She huffed a sigh and listened as he mentioned footprints. She'd look towards where she thought he was looking, after a second seeing them. She'd step over, glancing down for a slightly closer look, then looking on ahead, spotting more tracks.

Luckily, they would lead out of the Cemetery itself, hopefully Tengoku would calm down once they entered a more wooded area, Tsukiyo following the tracks. She wasn't as good as Ten at this, unable to find the tracks at some point, a low growl emitting from her as she tried to find more footprints. "Damn it...can you find more?" she'd ask, continuing to look around.

She led the way which was a relief. He could finally breath again as they exited the creepy ass cemetery. If something was going to haunt them now it didn't have much reason to. They didn't disturb much as they passed through but even after they left it behind he was still looking over his shoulder. His paranoia causing him to swear he saw things moving in the mist and shadows. He was quick to keep up with her until she finally exclaimed that she had in fact lost the trail. He would pause in his thoughts to blink and then look around. They were back in the woods. Back in his territory. This was where he felt comfortable. Where he held real power in his own mind. He would swallow and take a breath as he closed his eyes. His hands taking the sword and strapping it back to his hip as his body shifted from being hunched over to standing his full height. His ears returned to standing straight up as he focused on breathing in through his nose. Taking in the scents of the area. When he wasn't being a timid little pup it was easy to see the wolf in him.

His nostrils would flare as he turned his head to the right. Moving along the path until he reached a slightly broken branch. His silver eyes opening as he snagged the tiniest scrap of cloth. It had caught on the branch as a man ran haphazardly in the dark through the area. His silver eyes scanned the tree line as he took the lead now. His fingers bringing the cloth up to his nose as he got the scent. It was a couple of hours old but this led into the woods. There were cabins out here but not really much else beyond that. He would let out a growl as he stepped forward. "He went this way. I smell fear but its layered with sweat. Chances are our prey is already tired. Its a couple hours old but he wouldn't have gotten much further without needing to rest. Once we get closer to the cabins deeper in We can link up and I will cast my sensory." Suddenly he was business. More serious than usual as he prepared for a fight. He was afraid of ghosts and zombies but a thief? He had his own fangs for that.

She would shift her gaze from trying to find the trail to look over at Tengoku, who was taking a moment to respond--her watching as the young man composed himself after shaking off the creepy feeling of having been surrounded by the dead...at least most of it. She could see the change in posture--standing upright with no hunch, ears perked up now. She'd keep focus on him as he seemed to pick up the scent...maybe literally. Like a true Wolf, Tengoku begun leading the way, finding some clothe among some foliage as Tsukiyo simply went to follow after him.

Pinkish red orbs kept on the silver haired sibling of her's, both of their hair and skin tone being about the only thing one could quickly piece together to think of them as related, sans the ears and fangs...She watched Tengoku sniff the cloth he found, blinking as he did. She'd listen to what her brother had to say, a small smirk coming to her lips, proud of the serious tone he was taking. She'd simply nod in response, and would follow his lead. Eventually the two would make it to the cabins he spoke of, the Cabins able to be seen through the woods as they approached. Not wanting to waste a pre-made seal, the woman bit her own finger with her sharpened fang, making it bleed. Using the blood she'd go ahead and mark the Fuuin seal on her neck, ready to do the same for Tengoku if and when he was ready. If he gave her the chance, she would go ahead and do so--and activate the jutsu. If not, she'd simply wait.

Tengoku would press forward for a while as they moved in silence. They were on the hunt and by now hunting was second nature to them. Tracking their prey was just a weekly routine and usually they were out for the kill. They had been given instructions not to kill the man but all in all this was a hunt. Just a bounty hunt instead of the hunt for nutrition. Still Tengoku would keep those silver eyes on a swivel. Watching for traps and the like. When they reached the edge of the woods to a group of overgrown cabins the trail led right into them. He would kneel down and only turn to note his sister biting into her own finger. Well that was...both gross and metal. If she forgot to bring some ink perhaps a kunai may have been more pleasant than using her canines to rip open her own finger. Of course his eye would twitch a little as she moved forward to write on his neck. He wasn't averse to blood really but having it smeared on him? Oh god. He would stare forward and try to pretend the warm liquid wasn't just blood being smeared on him.

Still he would nod to her once they were done and the communication link would begin. He closed his eyes a moment to get used to the flood of information. The pain in her thumb, his queezy stomach. As per usual the world would flip like a switch was turned for a few seconds before she would see what he saw how he saw it. He would focus his own chakra as he would send out a long pulse of chakra. Filling the area as it seemed to highlight the form sitting on the ground in the cabin eating a can of god knew what. Besides that though Tengoku would hold out his hand to keep her from moving. Just a few feet ahead of them was a long trip wire hidden in the tall grass for the most part. Each end connected to empty cans hanging up high. If someone tripped it those would fall and alert the target to them. Oh so he thought he was clever. Tengoku would think to her in silence. 'I should press in, engage the target and push him outside. From there you can wipe his mind. Yeah?' It was their usual tactic anyway.

It was strange, even having returned to Society, even having access to food whenever--easily accessed in a market--the two of them wouldn't find their hunting skills getting rusty, the twins both had managed to keep this hobby up, even if the pray and reasoning had changed. It was strange, but good...the two wouldn't loose their edge if they had to keep this up. Narrowed pinkish-red hues gazed on as Tsukiyo followed after Tengoku, silent as she did, the both of them almost unnoticeable moving through the woods. Once the duo had made it to the cabins and Tsukiyo had prepared herself for the jutsu, she'd notice Tengoku seemed 'ready' for it too...although she noted the more grossed out look he had on his face. This caused her to roll her eyes and just do it anyways, the two was siblings--if he couldn't deal with a bit of blood then he had worse things to worry about.

The short woman made the Fuuin seal on Tengoku and held a Serphent Hand Seal, after a moment the seal activating, and once more connecting the two's mental wavelengths. It was always an odd feeling, the two minds linking up almost always seemed fuzzy at first, but always cleared up seemingly quicker each time. Now she could feel how uneasy his stomach was, but it simply made her roll her eyes again. Once Tengoku had activated his sensory abilities, her eyes would shift, turning to look at a specific cabin among the few...these buildings was old, overgrown even, so the one Tengoku was sensing--passed like a note between the two--was likely they target.

She almost went to move forward, but Ten's arm was held out to stop her...and with their mind link, nothing needed said, her eyes trying to focus on the wire he saw. She couldn't see it, but trusted her brother--his eyes was sharper, he could see the thin wire. What she could see is the cans at the end, her hushing an annoyed sigh she wanted to let out. Her eyes shifting back to Tengoku as she could hear his plan, and she simply nodded, him not even having to see it to know her response. 'Usually I make the plans...but honestly, thats probably the most simple way to deal with this.' would float through Tengoku's mind, sharing her thoughts with him.

The woman would follow Ten's lead, let him draw out their enemy--to let her cast her Genjutsu to eliminate him as a threat--at least long enough for the two too be able to get them into custody. 'Just be careful bro, I can't use this stuff instantly, he may have some time to put up a fight...' she'd go ahead and mentally warn Tengoku, him even feeling the sinking feeling within of worry exuding from her.

she mentioned how she usually made the plans and a moment of him feeling bashful came across the line. Almost like a silence followed by a sense of embarrassment from him. He was stepping on toes it seemed and he was getting ahead of himself significantly. She did usually do the thinking after all. However she gave her stamp of approval with a word of warning on it. He would nod and swallow as he took a deep breath. He was about to fight someone for real. Someone he was going to try and use his sword on. Could he do it? He would nibble on his lip for a second. Her abilities could take a second to take hold. If he was hesitant he could get hurt or accidentally kill the guy. It suddenly felt like a lot of pressure. The only thing that helped him step silently over the trip wire was the connection to his sister holding firm. She was a source of confidence and strength. Once he stepped over the trip wire though commitment set in. Like jumping off a cliff into the ocean. Once you were over the edge there was no going back. It was time to take the plunge.

Tengoku would slowly begin to press forward until he began to run at full speed right for the window leading into the room the thief was in. He pressed his toes in hard before he crossed his arms in front of his face and dove. Crashing through the window and catching the thief by surprise. He would roll across the floor to his feet as the thief struggled to get up quickly. Ten already reaching for his sword as he dashed forward in a quick draw motion. The sword arcing up only to be caught by the can. It cut through the can but made the cut itself shallow. Barely nicking the targets cheek. Still it made the surprised man stumble back. As he did Ten charged forward. Placing his sword into the floor like a platform and using it to double kick the man in the chest. Sending him crashing through the back door. The target wasn't down however. Instead he would scramble to his feet and pull out a knife of his own. He looked startled but with no intention of backing down. Tengoku would take the opportunity to take a second coming out. Giving his sister time to cast something without catching Tengoku in it. Catching onto a combination tactic. Still Ten would sling his katana over his shoulder and step outside. Looking at the knife.

"I don't have a desire to end you Mister. But if you try and kill me with that, I will cut you."

Tsukiyo blinked a couple times as she could feel his emotions go through her, noting the embarrassed feeling but intentionally not thinking any more on it to not send him any more signals to make it worse. She shifted her thinking to the task at hand as the taller twin took a breath before going forward--her watching Tengoku step over the trip wire. She followed, she needed to be in range and sight to be able to use her skills, the woman careful to step high over the area he did...she could still barely see it but once close enough she could at least avoid tripping it. The woman turned to look at her brother once she made it over the trip wire--only to see him already rushing forward towards the Cabin. She huffed a sigh and closed her eyes, fairly quickly gaining insight on what Tengoku was seeing--herself rushing forward too, but in a slightly different line, heading towards the back of the Cabin, already knowing he planned to go through the window.

She was able to run with her eyes closed due to her connection with Tengoku's sensory skill, it told her what her position was relative to him, and with such a complex mind behind it, was able to calculate the distances and know her exact position on the battlefield...even while effectively blind. The young woman set herself up a distance from the cabin, near the back door. By now Tengoku had burst through the window and the fight was on--Tsukiyo watching through her brothers eyes. It made her heart sink for a split second, just a hint of worry for Tengoku's well being sent across the connection between them. The scuffle inside was quick, Tsukiyo already beginning to shape her chakra within to prepare something to  a two foot drop kick to the chest sent the thief stumbling out the back door, at this moment Tsukiyo opened her eyes and watched the man stumble out in front of her.

She had positioned herself just outside of the doorway, off to the side. In the scramble of it all the rather average Joe thief he didn't even notice her at first, too focused on getting up from the crash through the door, pulling out his knife and looking through the doorway to Tengoku. Tengoku stepped slowly out the doorway and would find Tsukiyo joining him, the two side by side--the woman smirking at the thief. For a moment the thief's eyes went wide as he saw the Shinku twins before him, Ten warning the man that he'd hurt him if the thief came at him with that knife, while Tsukiyo just had this confident smirk on her face. This is when Tsukiyo's form seemingly disappeared, the woman faded from sight from everyone, it was almost as if she was made of mist and wind had taken its grasp, dispersing her form into the air and out of sight. The thief freaked out and in a despirate bit threw the knife towards the remaining target in front of him--Tengoku--before trying to run It wasn't but a moment later the Thief tensed up, a tree sprouting behind him, branches and roots curling around his form. This was Tree Binding Death, one of Tsukiyo's favorite Genjutsu...being in such close range to her, within 5m upon activation, the thief had no escape, and now was caught in it. Maybe her tactic would be somewhat quick to pull off, due to good positioning alone. Had he been further away, this wouldn't have been so quick, the woman would've had to get within range after disappearing.

The thief struggled, thinking himself wrapped up by a real tree. Even if he could escape via Genjutsu Kai...he stood zero chance of even realizing this was a Genjutsu. Slowly, Tsukiyo emerged from the trunk of the tree itself, that same confident and slightly sadistic smirk on her face as she did. This sent the thief into a fit, struggling as much as possible, but they could do nothing. Suddenly Tsukiyo's arm wrapped around the thief's neck, tightening around his throat. She was choking the thief out some, but not fully. Just the mental stress of this would knock out the man. That is, unless Tengoku didn't just do it himself, having a free shot at the immobilized man.

Tengoku would feel his sister step up next to him. The two of them weren't the most potent but even so his chin lifted and his head hung to the side. This man was quick but not quicker than the two of them. Once his sister got involved even armed that man was no real threat. The tiny thing nothing to the practiced hand of a katana wielder. A kenjutsu specialist. Standing before him was the future. A pair of siblings that with their might combined would one day rival anyone. His silver eyes watched the man as his sister faded from view. Panic ensued from the man. Surely he would drop his weapon seeing how outmatched he was. This assumption was naive. An experienced swordsman would never have let his guard down so easily. He saw the man shift and knew the blade was coming. His own sword whipped around as quick as he could. The blade heading for his chest barely catching the side of the sword just enough to divert the deadly object. The blade itself however would not miss him entirely. The knife was sharp and the throw was powerful enough that even diverted it dragged along his cheek slightly. Drawing a small amount of blood.

Tengoku let out a shuddered breath at how close he had just come to losing an eye. The fear of it nearly shattering the connection. For him it had been almost as if it was slow motion. An old blade flying through the air glistening in the light. Old blood stains on it filling his nose with the scent of those before him. Those not as lucky. The sound of it splitting the air as it suddenly whipped right at it. The sparks as it bounced off his sword and the clang of the metal as it did. Even now the scent of his own blood seemed so strong. Almost overpowering. His katana felt heavy. Trembling in his hands. Why had he been so confident? Thinking such a little knife didn't matter? It had nearly ended him or at least cost him dearly. His sister was on her own holding the guy down as he struggled in vain as Tengoku couldn't bring himself to move. Something else was starting to fill him though. Hate for this man. This man that would try and kill or maim him over some theft. The hairs on the back of his neck rose like the hackles on a wolf. His eyes seemed to narrow as he focused on the man unable to defend himself. His ears flattened as his hands tightened with the noise of leather being squeezed. He wanted to kill him. He wanted to rip his throat out. This man had almost killed him and now...fight or flight was kicking in and fight was certainly winning. His sister likely was entirely unused to this side of him but neither of them had ever had someone actively trying to kill him before.

Tsukiyo had managed to capture the man, and now caught in the Genjutsu the thief could only struggle. Even still, he managed to struggle enough to make trying to choke him out difficult for the overall weak girl. Her strength was only akin to a pup's, and the stronger enemy was able to fight against her even when trapped. She found herself being filled with emotions...fear...hate. This hate was growing...but not within Tsukiyo. She blinked and lost focus, lifting her gaze from the enemy to her brother. He was enraged...blood sliding down his cheek from the knife thrown a moment before. Her eyes widened a little, she'd never seen Tengoku this angry before, his hands balled up tighter, making the leather of his Katana groan under the tension in Ten's hand. '...T-Ten' crossed through his mind, him easily feeling a wash of her own emotions--worry, care...a hint of fear. Seeing Tengoku, feeling what he was feeling through their link...it made her loose focus completely on the task, all on Tengoku now.

This lapse of focus allowed the thief enough movement to throw his head back, catching her straight in the chin. This knocked Tsukiyo back, and deactivated her Genjutsu, instantly releasing the man. She stumbled and even fell, landing on her rear and wincing, both from the pain in her jaw and her bum. She didn't have long though, the woman looked up and found the one they was hunting now standing over her, and it seemed Ten wasn't the only one pissed. Tsukiyo tried to back up but was grabbed and lifted straight to her feet by the thief, her unable to stop him, and feeling a hard jab sent straight into her cheek, it instantly sending her back down onto the ground, her landing like a sack of potatoes. The man didn't even look back at Tengoku and begun running away from the two, Tsukiyo watching through a half open eye, the other winced shut from being hit like that.

She managed to move her hand, gesturing as chakra shifted through her. It sent a spike of rock from the earth jutting out, used to strip the enemy instead of spear right through him, making them fall pretty hard. It took Tsukiyo a couple seconds to go through the hand seals, Ox then Boar, before he placed both palms on the ground. By now the thief was back to his feet, but found said feet sucked in, the earth under them swirling inwards, enough to trap him completely, pulling him down slowly into the ground until it finally stopped, just short of making them buried alive, eliminating him completely as a threat, fully captured. She pushed herself up, turning to face Tengoku with a pained expression, but more worried for him now, the woman slowly approaching her brother, and reaching out with a hesitant hand towards his bleeding cheek.

Tengoku would see his sister get head butted and his mouth would open. Spit connecting his bottom row of canines to the top as he snarled. His eyes were wild as her pain shocked through his mind. He was already moving the moment the man began to run. Chasing down this being that dared to lay a hand on her. That would dare to cause her pain. Tengoku was quick as he held his katana with both hands to his right with the blade facing forward. He was going to cut the man. When the earth spike came up the man tripped as Tengoku narrowly missed a vital blow to the neck of the man and instead cut his upper arm. The man scrambled to his feet quickly and continued to run of course. Now he was unarmed and there was a man he hadn't taken seriously. Blood running down his arm. He had messed with the pack and now he would be lucky to get out alive. Tengoku flicked his blade and began to run up the earth spike as he launched himself over the man. The target getting his feet caught in the earth and then buried within it as Tengoku would somersault through the air.

Tengoku would land in a crouch in front of the man. His coat billowing around him as he would slowly rise to his feet. He may be weak now but there was an image into their future. Of the imposing power he would bring to the table for them. Raw physical prowess with a rage behind it that was simply animalistic. He would switch to a one handed grip on the sword as he held the blade mere inches from the mans eye. Something trickled through his senses though. Fear, worry...his sister was still connected. Ten would shake his head. Unable to hear the pleas from the man not to kill him. Unable to do more than focus on the connection with his sister. his sensory dropping before his katana slowly lowered to his side. The sounds of the man weeping now coming through to him. Tengoku would take a breath and grit his teeth. He wouldn't kill this guy. It wasn't the mission. He wanted to but he let it go for now. Instead his boot would lift before slamming down and catching the target square in the face and knocking him out.

Tsukiyo was still on the ground when her ear burned with foosteps, Tengoku rushing past her and after the man that had dared mess with The Pack. Tsukiyo happened to save the man's life by tripping him--this was all that kept Tengoku from killing the thief, and Tsukiyo knew it--feeling the bloodlust between the connection. It only filled her with more fear and worry, seeing him like this--feeling those emotions across the line between them. The woman pushed herself off the ground, just in time to watch Tengoku leap over the thief using the earthen spike she created as a launching platform. The woman stood in silence, shocked seeing her brother this way...she'd always been the fierce one, the one with the fury of fire burning in her, while Tengoku was quiet, reserved, timid. He never fought back...he never got so angry, at least not outwardly

But now she felt it, and seen it, every bit of it. A part of her was proud...but right now she just wished for him to calm down. She broke the connection, unable to take the feeling anymore--the seal that linked them deactivated. She felt his want to kill the man, right before the line was severed. She actually cringed, just a little, watching Tengoku literally stomp the man out cold with a swift movement. The young woman slowly approached, stopping a few meters away from Tengoku, softened pinkish red eyes with a pleading hint behind them trying to find Tengoku's Silver orbs.

"T-Tengoku...its okay. Please calm down...we got him..." she tried to reassure Ten, taking a couple steps closer. She glanced down, seeing the man who'd only moments earlier headbutted her and punched her out. She'd reach up and rub her own cheek, the sore feeling settling in. But this was quickly forgotten as she looked back up to Tengoku, looking at his cheek--seeing the blood. "...Let me heal you" she'd say with a soft voice, more stable then her shaky plea to calm down. She'd take a step closer, within his reach now. She'd perform a somewhat quick series of hand seals, three of them, before her left hand begun glowing with green medical chakra. She'd reach up, trying to bring this hand to his cheek, and let the chakra heal the cut on it if he was to let her.

Tengoku would let out a breath before flicking his katana. A reflex really as only after he did it did he look down to the weapon and the blood that splattered in the dirt. He was still holding that? It had felt like an extension of himself briefly. All of it replaying in his mind after the fact as his free hand rose to cup his forehead. His hair threading between his fingers as his eyes danced like watching it all playing back. The connection was gone? When did that happen? Had it affected him in some way? It was as if he had simply been watching it happen. His right food stepped forward now to balance himself. Idly he fumbled to sheath his sword and took a couple more steadying breaths. He had been so angry. He was still seething. This was new to him. He had always been able to contain himself. To keep to himself and take some abuse. He had never really fought back before. He had never been close to death before either. Reviewing it though he knew what set him off. He hadn't moved to try and kill the man until his sister was hurt. He had held himself until that happened. No one was allowed to do that. He understood now he was capable of killing someone. For her.

A voice brought his attention back to reality. The mans nose was bloodied and he was out cold. His sister was telling him to calm down. He focused on that. His heart was racing. He let himself relax and slowly his heart returned to a calm beat. He hadn't done anything yet he couldn't take back. They had caught their target. No one was dead. Silver eyes met pink hue's and they slowly returned to a normal soft pair of silver orbs. She insisted on healing him and formed some hand seals. He removed his hand from his forehead and leaned down. Pressing his forehead into hers and closing his eyes as she healed the cut on his cheek. His rage fading and his body aching from pushing itself too hard. He would sigh and slump his shoulders a little. Waiting for the pain in his cheek to fade. It was like a cooling and numbing sensation against the wound. Still he would speak up. Almost sheepishly.

"We don't have to dig him up right? Can't they just collect him here?"

Tengoku was receptive of her offer to heal him, her hand cupped over his cheek, hovering just off the skin and letting the healing chakra do its work. It'd regenerate cells, promoting quick growth to heal the cut somewhat slowly. This was a weak jutsu, but she didn't have the chakra for the much quicker Mystic Palm Technique, this being the much simpler but also less taxing Healing Hands. It'd be enough though, the cut wasn't deep. Her hand kept in place as he moved, the woman finding him leaning down and putting his forehead against her's. It made her blush, sure she was close to her brother, but this was very much entering her personal space. But she didn't make any fuss, just a bit flustered by her brother's action.

She'd continue to heal the wound until it was fully taken care of, as if it never happened. The green chakra would fade and now her hand actually met his cheek, a thumb wiping the access blood off of it as she sighed quietly. She'd remain like this for just a moment--the bond between the siblings growing with each outing it seemed. The Pack was strong when together...still, reality set in and she'd head him speak, asking about the thief they had captured. She took a step back, letting her hand fall from Ten's cheek to her side as she glanced down at their target.

"...I think they can get him here, not like he's going anywhere...besides, I don't see us both carrying him back...You cut his arm pretty bad but since its down in the dirt, he shouldn't bleed out...come on...lets collect our pay and go home." she said sort of quietly before looking back up at Tengoku. She'd make a mental mark of where the captured thief was to relay the information later. She'd motion with her head for Tengoku to come with her, the woman turning on her heel and starting to head back the way they had came. She'd stop only a moment later though, back towards Tengoku. "...I'm proud of you Ten...I'm sorry you felt the fear from me...but I hope you also felt the pride in knowing you are capable of standing up for yourself...of being ready and willing to kill someone to defend me....thank you." she said quietly, before continuing to walk, keeping her eyes averted away from him to hide the slight embarrassment she felt. The woman did have issues opening up...

He would feel the pain fade until it was gone entirely. Her ability to heal him had always been like this. Just small scrapes and bruises but she was always the one tending to them. Soon enough she was done and wiped the blood away. Pulling away from him as she mentioned leaving him here. He wasn't in danger of bleeding out or escaping. So it was time to go home and relax after getting paid. He would nod but still he would avoid looking directly at the guy. Something about the bloodied face bothered Tengoku. He had done it in a rage and he knew he had but somehow it felt like he hadn't. He liked being in control and was not used to that side of himself. He was a timid man and a follower. To take the initiative. He was also a hunter though so he had killed for food....would he kill in the heat of passion? Could he kill when they were sent on kill missions? He needed to figure this out for himself one day. Could his sister kill someone? Oh lord he didn't even want to think about this heavy shit right now. It was too much to deal with.

This time as they moved through the graveyard under the gravity of what just happened he didn't even seem to notice. Instead he was caught of guard when she spoke up. Mentioning that fear and her pride for him. Of what he had overcome of himself and what he was willing to do for her. They were both bashful now. Both of them blushing and looking off in different directions with an uncomfortable tension there. Neither were great at expressing themselves. They really needed a mediator at some point. Some third friends to join the pack and force the twins to grow up a little. For now Tengoku would look away with a mumbled "Yeah of course....sure thing sis." It was kind of non committal but that was just the way he was. His shoulders slumped again and he avoided eye contact as they passed through the crowd heading towards the administration building so she could make her report. He of course signed his pay over to her as per usual. All fifteen thousand of it as he thought she was due for all their financials since all he usually bought was fan boy t shirts and candy. Still he would tug on her sleeve when she was done marking the spot on the map for them.

"Can I have orange chicken tonight for dinner please?"

His response wasn't quite what she expected, it maybe even hurt her a little inside to think Tengoku may not have believed her words...or even if he had, that he didn't agree with her feeling on it. Still. The woman would remain quiet as they trekked back into the village itself, and made their way to the administrative building. Konohagakure was, for the most part, back to normal. The Cat-Kage's poor decisions had lead to their death, and basically everyone who'd went to Iwagakure was back. Well, sans the owners of Tsu and Ten's penthouse. Lucky them. Still, the streets remained full of life, and as the twins moved through the streets, she had returned her expression to her natural, almost angered but neutral look. She wouldn't look so 'soft' in front of others, how could she let them see her like that? Only Tengoku could see her softer side...well, maybe some others too if they earn it.

They would make it to the building and she quickly did a report...her writing was much quicker then it used to be, clearly all this Ninja business was doing wonders for her skills. The woman and her brother would be handed pay for the successful mission, but once more found her stubborn brother not taking his cut, signing it to her. She huffed as sigh as she marked the location on a map just in time to feel the almost familiar tug from Tengoku...his action and request was almost childlike, but she'd simply close her eyes in a hint of annoyance at it and nod. Chicken sounded nice anyways. "We'll order some when we get home if thats what you want."

She'd go ahead and leave the place, 30,000 Ryo richer then when she walked in, but she couldn't help but spend some money...although this time it'd be something that might catch her brother's attention. The woman lead the way back to their apartment, the woman leading the way in and through the building...but she made a stop. The same restaurant they had raided that night some time ago now, she'd request dinner be sent to their penthouse...the Orange Chicken Tengoku wanted, and she'd have herself some fish along with some of the same Chicken.

Once back to their penthouse suite, the woman opening the doors they had to tackle down before with a gentle push, she let out a audible sigh, relieving herself of today's burdens. She'd make her way to the couch and plop down on it...the pain in her face was getting to her so the woman once more performed the hand seals needed to use the Healing Hands jutsu, this time using it on herself to mend the bruise before it got worse. She shut her eyes as the soothing feeling calmed the pain in her face, leaning back on  the couch and relaxing.

"...Nii-san...I hope you know I meant what I said earlier..." she'd bring it back up, after all this time, trying to make sure they could maybe meet on the same page somewhere here. "I appreciate you're willingness to protect me..." she said, keeping her eyes closed--as to not show the embarrassment for her words creeping in, keeping a straight face as she looked relaxed. It wouldn't be all that long before food showed up, a cart just for them, a fancy spread even containing more then they ordered...complimentary, of course. The building seemed to have a thing for the new residence...being the Hokage's students did have its perks.

Tengoku was rather pleased when she agreed to get them orange chicken. He really liked it. The flavor was sweet and the chicken was always so soft. Melted in his mouth. Still they were quiet on the way home. He would smile and nod to the doorman again awkwardly while she ordered the food and then followed her up the stairs. They entered their apartment a lot less winded then they used to be and she went straight for the couch while he took of his coat and katana. Hanging both from the coat hanger as he rolled his shoulder. He wondered if he might have almost pulled something reacting like he did. He had certainly pushed himself into some acrobatics. He had never felt that way before though. His rage filled him with adrenaline and he just kind of went for it. Still he would hesitate As he hung his katana up as she mentioned the conversation from earlier. He would hold onto the little strap for the hook for a moment as he nervously rubbed his thumb on it. Remembering that desire to kill. He would let out a slow breath before looking over his shoulder at her. Speaking quietly.

"I didn't mean to make little of how you are feeling. I just don't know how I feel about what I did. I...I was going to kill him and all he did was fight back."

The doorbell rang and he was closer so he moved over to it. Now in jeans and a t shirt with boots. He opened the door and smiled before taking the cart. He would smile sheepishly as the delivery guy left for the elevator and close the door behind him. He would grin a little and immediately remove the lids to dive into some orange chicken. Shoving a whole piece into his mouth as he groaned happily. Barely chewing it before swallowing and then grabbing a second piece to shove into his mouth before turning to head to the fridge for a can of Soda. They likely recovered the guy by now. So he was comfortable getting some food in himself. He wasn't as freaked out now without his sword on him as a reminder of the whole ordeal. His stomach was settled and he was hungry now. If anything the Orange chicken just tasted all the better after a close call with death.

Tsukiyo would finish healing herself, hearing Ten's response had the woman open her eyes, glancing over her shoulder and the back of the couch back over to Tengoku, a moment catching eyes between the twins as he had been looking over his shoulder at her. She'd hear what he said as she watched him with her pinkish red hues, them lacking their typical fury. She sighed quietly and stood up, walking back around the couch and walking over to Tengoku. The young woman grabbed her brothers hand with both of hers, while looking up to her taller brother, trying to look him in the eyes.

"You did the right thing Tengoku. Trying to protect me is what you should do...that willingness to kill is what will make you a much better fighter. Without that intent you hold back...learn to hardness that anger...that killing intent. If you can fight with the intent to kill, but stay your blade when needed...you'll be an excellent warrior Ten." the shorter Shinku twin would say, keeping her eyes hopefully looking into his, and her tone was purely genuine. She wished for him to keep that rage...use it...but control it. This would aid him in battle. It'll shape the young man into the warrior he was to become. She wished to encourage this...she knew what it took to make a fine warrior, the woman was one of the smartest in Konoha after all.

This was interrupted a bit briefly after her pep talk, the cart of food had arrived. The woman would let Tengoku deal with it, her waiting for him to get the food from their room service. She watched him dig in basically instantly, shutting her eyes and letting out what could've been an annoyed sigh, but the smile that followed showed she still endeared her brother, even even he was a bit...wild. She'd go ahead and grab her meal off the cart, leaving the extras, when he'd went off to get a pop. The woman would go to the couch, sitting back down towards the side--and set her food down on the arm rest, beginning to each it, her not as quick to dig in, the woman somewhat formal with how she ate, slower but not too slow. The woman would eventually get through her food and lean back on the couch again, shutting her eyes.

This was about the time her ear burned with the sound of pecking. Tsu's eyes would blink back open, and she'd look over to their balcony. There was a messenger bird. She hopped up and headed over there, opening a door to access the balcony and holding out her arm, letting the bird land on it. She took a tiny scroll from it and opening the scroll, eyes scanning it. It was from Haku, and very vague. Simply that he may be in need of her talents...She'd remain with a neutral look on her face, the woman rolling the scroll back up. It didn't seem too urgent, but she'd oblige the Hokage and her Teacher. The woman would give the bird a few pets along its wings, before sending it on its way.

Tengoku would shove about as much as his mouth could hold before desperately trying to both breath through his nose and chew at the same time. Swallowing in bits at a time as he ate faster than he could really enjoy any of the food. He finally managed to chew enough to swallow the first mouthful before chugging some of his soda. About half the can. He burped and sighed. Basically ignoring his sisters insistence on any manners whatsoever. She had held him by the hand and told him it was okay to be ready to kill after all. He wasn't sure how he felt about it but they were more like wolves than people anyway. Wolves were more unique than many predators in many ways. They could be calm and wise creatures at times. However they unlike most other predators traveled in packs. They claimed territories and were extremely protective of their own. He supposed what had happened was nature taking its course. He felt an energy welling up inside of himself. He wanted to get stronger. She was the alpha of the pack but he was a member. He was her brother. His sword was his fangs for her. No one would get off easy with bringing her harm.

Five would finish eating rather quickly when a messenger bird landed. A little pecking drew his attention but he didn't make anything of it. No one sent him messages after all. He didn't buy much and he wasn't one for making friends often. He needed to but for now he was content just following her. His silver eyes watched her take a message. Catching glimpse of their masters seal. So the Hokage wanted something huh? Tengoku would wonder what Haku wanted them for until his sister rolled up the scroll and shooed away the bird. Awww but he liked birds. Still she didn't say anything about it but he was sleepy now with a full belly. He would wash his hands and finish his soda before leaving the dirty cart where it was. Hmm birds. His mind having forgotten the note for now and the fact that she didn't say anything about it to him. He trusted her after all. Instead he would stretch out and flop on the bear rug in front of the fireplace. Clearly planning on taking a nap after a long day right there on the floor.

It'd seem the separation of table manners between the two was a pretty vast difference, Tsukiyo was fairly proper while she ate, although at least not taking an hour to two five bites like some woman. She clearly liked her food, she didn't have her interesting curves without having ate like a goldfish. But still, the burp from Tengoku after chugging half a can of Soda earned him an annoyed glance, for only a moment. Once Tsukiyo had moved on from eating to getting the message from a bird carrying it, she'd notice a prying eye somewhere along the line from her brother. The woman did nothing about it though, not caring if he saw what the message was about. It'd likely been the Hokage's seal that caught his eye anyways, she'd think. Why else would he even look?

But it'd seem Tengoku wouldn't reply. Probably for the best, as the letter was specifically asking for her aid and not his. Sometimes things needed handled alone...granted any time she went out without Tengoku she risked herself...he was always the more physically capable one. Either way she returned inside in time to see him plop down on a bear-skin rug, her sighing quietly and walked over first to Tengoku. She knelled down next to him and reached out to scratch behind one of the young man's wolf-life ears, giving him a slight smile as she did. This was a silent way to express her care for him...even if from the wrong perspective it could look demeaning. Treated him like a pet. Luckily Ten would know better. After this she'd go ahead and stand back up, stretching some. She'd return to the couch and almost fall onto it, yawning...it wasn't hardly ten minutes later and the young woman had fallen asleep on the couch, noted by a light snore that could cross Ten's sensitive ears.

She wasn't far behind him with the napping idea. The adrenaline was gone and with food in their bellies and so they both had grown tired. He ignored her annoyances with his actions as he was just cheerful to be home. Not thinking about all the danger that had happened. Not dwelling on almost dying. Just the fact that he was full and comfortable. He could hear his sister approaching him and he tucked his face into his arms. His ear twitching as she scratched behind it. Almost like one might do to a pet. Still he was much too tired to fight her off and it wasn't that uncomfortable. If anyone else tried he would not hesitate to bite them but she was alright. Sister privileges and all that. No he was simply content to drift off into slumber. No worries about the days to come. No thoughts on his sisters obsessive snoring. Simply relaxing and warm on the throw rug. His toes twitched slightly as he began to lightly snore himself. What a life to live this life of comforts and luxuries. He just needed to grow strong enough to keep his grasp on it. To be strong enough to keep up.
