Smooth Criminal

Mission:

Ren had been sitting at a bar within the village, when he caught sight of the strangest thing. A man would approach the guard at a back door that Ren had assumed led to an office, the man and the guard would share in an unusual handshake before the guard would open the door letting the man pass. What was strange about this encounter was the fact that when the door opened, Ren saw the man move downstairs. He knew the layout of every building within the village, and this one was registered as a single story business, no other levels reported so seeing that the door in question led to a basement got him curious. Pulling down his mask and assuming the visage of the Dragon, Ren would move to the guard. Thanks to his Sharingan he was able to completely copy the hand shake the other man had used to gain entry and within seconds he was making his way down stairs to the basement. Once in the basement, it quickly became apparent as too why the basement wasn't on any plans, first it looked as though someone had used Doton to quickly create the place, but more importantly it seemed to be some kind of underground fight club. Men and women yelled as they placed bets and watched two men fighting in the ring, how they were not heard upstairs was a mystery but wasn't the big question on his mind. His biggest question was how he could get in on the fights, he had been looking for a way to get his name or at least his alias out in the criminal underworld and this now seemed like the perfect chance to do so. As the fight concluded with a knock out, Ren would move to the man who was handing out the winning. A quick conversation and Ren found himself in the next fight, introduced as the Dragon, Ren would smile under his mask. Unfortunately the man he was put up against wasn't much of a fighter and the bout was over in a matter of seconds, Ren remained in the ring ready to take out other fighters. Taking out four other fighters before the shot caller of the fights decided he wasn't going to allow Ren to beat up all of his fighters. Receiving his winnings, Ren would take his leave, more than satisfied that the Dragon's name was now on everyone's lips.

Mission:

The set up with the land of Rice was working in favor of the light, already request we're coming into the village for different jobs around the region. Of course, publicly the village turned down those with ill intentions. Not wishing to discourage the public opinion of the organization, but unknown to the public those missions that were turned down by the village were actually sent to Ren. As leader of the light he was in charge of the village of sound, even if not publicly. So it was just a simple matter of assigning the less than ideal missions to those that can perform the missions without drawing attention to the organization, of course individuals to perform those missions were currently in short supply. Ren would take it up on himself to handle these missions for now, and once the light grew more he could start assigning them to others. This particular job was an easy one, and Ren regretted not having someone else to do it for him, but would undertake the mission nonetheless as they needed a presence in the underworld. It was a simple task, take the package to the destination and see that it was delivered. While he was curious as to the contents within the package, he respected the wishes of the one who requested the delivery and didn't look inside it. The mask of the Ancients covering his face, giving off the appearance of a dragon head mask, Ren would set out under his alter ego of The Dragon. It was no surprise to him that the destination of the package was a well known criminal compound on the edges of the land of Rice, he had known about them for sometime now, though he didn't make a move against them. His plan was to use them to gain a foothold in the underworld and this mission would help in that regard, while most just wished to wipe out the criminals that infested the different lands Ren saw use in them. The criminal network was often more informed about situations than the major villages, so having an ear in the underworld society was something that he couldn't pass up. Making his delivery to the guard at the door, Ren would receive his payment and then take his leave to take care of the next mission.

Mission:

Having finished the delivery, Ren would move quickly to reach the meeting point for the next mission. This one would likely be easier than the last. Some thugs wanted to break into a local home and take everything of values, but they were short handed. It seemed as though they needed someone to be a look out in case the village Shinobi caught onto them, it was simple enough, of course it was made simpler by the fact that Ren was already in control of the guards. Shortly after he had seen the request for this job, he ensured that the guards patrol, at least for tonight, was diverted away from the area that the thugs intended to rob. Of course, even if the guards did happen by there, they knew of Ren and his altered self with the name Dragon, one sight of him and they would know not to intervene. Meeting up with the thugs, Ren almost thought he was in the wrong place. The two men were scrawny and didn't look like they had bathed in over a month, if they had at all in their life. Luckily though thanks to his mask he did not need to worry about the smell, the two men would go over the plan as well as explain what they expected from him, Ren would nod and they would take off towards the estate of someone that while Ren did not recognize the name, he had to assume the man was rich. When the trio arrived at the estate in question however, Ren was suddenly second guessing the plan. The house didn't look all that fancy, in fact it was rather run down. How anything of value was within the walls of such a shack was a question that Ren couldn't shake from his mind, though he would keep it too himself. He wasn't there to ask questions, he was simply there to ensure that the other two got away without any trouble. Thirty minutes after the two men disappeared into the house, they would come running out with sacks full running at a full sprint. Following them, Ren would ensure that there was no trail for any tracker to follow. Arriving back at the rendezvous spot, Ren would collect his payment from the two men and take his leave.

Mission:

This next mission was closer to home than the others had been, mostly due to the fact that it dealt specifically with the Light. Since it was established within the land of Rice, the organization had set clear rules on the sell of wares within their borders. Every shop pays, simple. They pay or they don't sell. The money they pay helps funds the projects that keeps the country safe, and when someone doesn't pay it can affect those projects. Because of this, Ren has kept a close eye on all the businesses with the land of Rice. While most understood and paid their dues, a shop that recently opened up has not. Ren wasn't the most patient of men, and so after the first visit to the shop where his men had explained the rules and the owner didn't pay them it was decided that the Dragon needed to pay the shop a visit. Arriving in the dead of night, his mask affixed to his face and the snow chakra armor on, Ren would tear through the shop like a storm. Stopping only when he found something of value which would quickly disappear into the Kamui dimension, using Katon to mark the shop with the symbol of the Dragon so that the shop owner and everyone else would know who caused this destruction. Once he was satisfied with his work and sure that everyone who saw the scene would know it was the Dragon that destroyed the shop, Ren would take his leave off into the night.

Mission:

Now that his name as the Dragon has begun circulating among the criminals within the country, it was no real surprise to him when rumors of interested parties looking to work with him. If he could meet with the right people and start making connections then he could use them later for his own purposes, making deals and paying favors was just his kind of work. He knew they would ask something of him, but that wasn't an issue, what would determine the deal as with all of his deals was what he would get out of it. Of his three deals this far he now had 2 powerful allies in Raijin and Tadara, and owed a favor that has yet to be decided from his clansman Zenaku. He only made deals that benefitted him, however for now he was going to have to lower his stakes. The deals that he made with the other three was as Ren, this time is different. The Dragon was an unknown, so it wasn't that he could ask for much. He would just have to play his cards right, and work with what he can get. He couldn't just go in threatening, not with what he needed. He had to earn their trust and prove his worth, just as he made those that joined the light prove themselves. With his mask covering his face the dragon would meet with three of the five groups that he knew about within the land of Rice, they weren't very big but they all controlled a portion of the crime within the country. They worked together and didn't encroach on the others territory or business, now Ren needed to convince them to work with the Light while maintaining his cover as the Dragon. His hope that through his work with them he could get a meeting with the other two bosses of the country, it was going to take time and work but it was something that had to be done. His meeting with the first two went by rather fast the first one controlling the shipping of the country and the second controlling the land transportation. Having to perform a series of jobs for the both of them before his ask of information. His goal was to sell the different groups on the fact that the Light was an information gathering organization and he was an enforcer for them, and once they saw what he could do they were more than willing to work with him. The third group was different they weren't so eager to connect like the first two were. It would take a full two days of talking and convincing before they finally trusted him enough to work with him. Satisfied with his work he would return to his room within the base to rest, it was beginning now he just had to wait.
