    Made none of this thread happen. So let's go again before someone else posts.

    IC:

    Miyu rested on Yua's back, gently nuzzling him subconsciously as her mind was really focused on seeing everything within 250 meters. Noone was sneaking up on them, and Miyu was going to guide them to victory.

    She wasn't going to let some crazed murder hobos get another chance to almost murder them. All would either flee or get crushed with the weight of her rage. She promised herself she'd never let her guard down again around a new person. New people were the real monsters and enemies.

    And she would not let their evil sink their fangs into them a second time. Not now, not ever again. She hated humanity, and she hated how disgusting, dishonorable, and malignant, like a cancer they were.

    So she kept vigil. 250 Meters. All the while ready to Talk to the twins or Shukaku through telepathy.

    Post by Chinoike Yui and Yua Tue Mar 03, 2020 9:10 am

    The twins would continue to move along with Yua carrying Miyu, this was not going to be fast movement sadly, he wasn't used to carrying another human being but this was best to prevent another ambush. As they continued they were excited they had their magnet techniques, they were unsure why they suddenly had control but now they did. This was good news for the pair, this meant they would not need to rely on the tailed form unless desperate, hopefully, things would not come to this. They would once again speak in their mind so only Miyu could understand or hear them, no more annoying listeners to annoy the crap out of them.

    "Miyu just let us know if we need to fight, we are more than prepared they won't expect this magnet jutsu. As long as you can keep us covered we can crush the enemy with our overwhelming might, they won't stand a chance against us."

    As they continued on they felt their fighting spirit rising up, sure their prize was taken but now they could have no prizes, the next group they face won't have the offer the previous one did, no they would not trust any of them anymore.

    Post by Short_Stack Tue Mar 03, 2020 1:06 pm

    Miyu would continue to scan the their surroundings, her wide range of vision with her chakra Sensory skill allowing her to scan far and wide as they made their way through the woods, the gentle falling of rain was calming but it did make their slow progress and attempt to hide their progress slower. But she had an idea.

    Shukaku-San, do you think we could use sand to float and hide our trail from others? I don't want those mean, filthy mouth breathers to have an easy trail to follow for when we crush them.

    And ... um ... I'm sorry to you all that our prey got away, we'll find out who did it, and make them regret it.

    Miyu would keep her 250 m range sight open, and try to keep them in as much cover as possible rather than out in the open. No one was getting close enough to hurt them again. And their relics would go from 2 to 3, maybe even 4 or more if they ran into a group of Shinobi.

    Team B and the Second Coming Empty Re: Team B and the Second Coming

    Post by Kye Tue Mar 03, 2020 9:26 pm

    Kye led the party, consisting of Kitsuki and the newly gain Rini and Verdandi is some sort of a pact. The others were kept close by and although the other two gave them more firepower their mobility was severely limited. Having a cripple did that. This made their mobility slower than he would prefer and generally made him a bit frustrated. But he couldn't argue the genius of partnering up with another team. They had to do double the work to proceed to the next round, sure, but the workload was distributed among them making the job easier. Kye himself was dressed in a pair of black dress shoes, pants, and blazer. A white collared shirt was worn in addition to a black tie being the completion of his outfit. Around his waist he wore a belt which carried only a single sheathed katana. Kye's navy blue hair swept over his right hair concealing the black eye patch he wore underneath.

    The convoy moved slowly through the jungle and eventually Kye managed to catch the sight of two travelers about two-hundred meters out, well within Miyu's sensory range. "I see a couple just up ahead. Lets pick up the pace." Kye said to his teammates before picking up his own pace. He didn't charge full speed with the forethought of that he may come off as too aggressive. Kye would likely be the first with possibly Kitsuki at his side, and the other team following behind shortly. Kye broke through the jungle's foliage and stopped ten meters from the others, a much more comfortable distance than three feet. The rain was pounding, a much easier rainfall than the other day. The moist earth and puddles broadcasting his approach. He'd appear in front of their path to prevent them from going any further. "Good afternoon. I am Kye Takamura, and I will be taking your relic. Now, that can either be done willingly or by force. The choice is yours. If you are willing to surrender it, place it on the ground, turn around, and start walking away slowly. I will take running or a false relic as a sign of hostility." Kye was confident that the plan was foolproof.

    Team B and the Second Coming Empty Re: Team B and the Second Coming

    Post by Short_Stack Tue Mar 03, 2020 11:50 pm

    Contesting this thread.

    1)In Battle Posting order. Yui would be next. Then Kye, and the rest of the 4 players. Then back to me, Yui, Kye ...

    2) Linked Thread Stated we are covering our trail and talking Telepathically. You would never hear us speak. And we are actively covering our trail.

    3) My first post Shows she's guiding them with Chakra Vision, and she is paying lots of attention to what's going on around them.

    4)The Twins post shows we are doing everything to avoid another ambush or getting easily attacked again. So us acting like idiots and walking in 0 cover and doing nothing to hide ourselves is laughable.

    And

    5) My last post. And I quote.

    Miyu would keep her 250 m range sight open, and try to keep them in as much cover as possible rather than out in the open. No one was getting close enough to hurt them again.
    invalidates your entire post.

    Unlike you we don't need to look for Handicapable trails. We are looking for the options that make it hardest to spot us, hardest to follow us, are actively working on covering my trail which I believe my A Int + C Per, Would Beat B Perc and C Int.

    We are actively hiding ourselves to the best of our abilities as we walk. And picking paths that make most forms of CQC or ranged attacks difficult. Because again "As much cover as possible."

    Edit:

    Yui and Yua are apparently responsible for our covering our trails. Since they are the ones walking and carrying Miyu.

    And they have Coord of B which is equal to your Perc. So definitely not obvious at all

    Team B and the Second Coming Empty Re: Team B and the Second Coming

    Post by Nozomi Wed Mar 04, 2020 8:30 am

    Ooc: I cant mod this, as a participant, but as someone experienced in combat threads and stuff like that, here's my two cents;
    1.) No. Kye can enter whenever he pleases. No combat is ongoing yet, and even if it was, he is invading. Your post order doesnt matter, especially since its a social. He can jump in whenever he likes, and from that point on follows the post order where he has inserted himself in it. Same with the rest of our crew. Your argument here is unfounded.
    2.) He never stated he heard you, and you are not actively covering your trail either. Yua is carrying Miyu, and Yui has not stated she was doing anything in this thread. Former threads do not cover what you are doing in this thread unless you state it here. I cant be bothered to go and read every single thread you have been in on the off chance that you stated you were doing something.
    3.) Sure, you're guiding them. That's whatever. Telepathy sure. Sensory sure. Cover sure. That doesnt make you untrackable. Same as if I said the entire convoy tried to hide. It doesnt really help that much. I'll reiterate that Yua is carrying Miyu and has been for a while. He even has the thought that its uncomfortable and he isnt used to it.
    4.) The twins post says nothing about avoiding ambushes. It says "let me know when we have to fight", and other than that calrifies that they are not talking out loud. Whih, again, wasnt ever stated to be something Kye heard. While you may have been walkig in some cover, you still leave imprints and trackable steps. Which, btw, is more prevalent when moving in cover.
    5.) Whether they are responsible for covering your trails or not, here's the biggest issue: They aren't doing so, and havent stated doing so. And beyond that, the rules of this are pretty clear: Lowest party coordination is used when it comes to being tracked. Miyu is being carried, an active hindrance to Yua. It would be different if maybe she was able to fly and actively work on keeping herself from touhing or interactig with the world, but she isnt doing that.

    From the rules of the exam:
    ```The tracks your team leaves behind goes off your team's lowest base Coordination. Tracking goes off your team's highest base Intelligence and Perception. How these work will be determined by DM.```
    Your intel and perception wouldnt apply regardless ubless you were tracking us and we arent being stealthy. Meanwhile, our team's tracking capabilities are at Rini's base intelligence, which is S tier mind you. Even if not, and we are still two separate teams, Kye's B perception vs your C coordination still results in win on his tracking.
    Tie in that its rained/raining, rain leaves mud, mud leaves trails, then youve got an issue when it comes to fully covering tracks unless youre moving slowly to actively work on doing so. At which point can catch up to you easily and then its not even an issue to find you, as your sensory wouldnt help if you tried to hide, based off out perceptions and intels vs your lowest coordinations.
    Now, that isnt to say that you cant do anything to respond. In case you forgot, this is an RP. Each post is an *attempted action*. What that means for you is that Kye attempted his actions. You get to then respond. If you hide when you sense him, it would invalidate his post a bit and his next post would address your new course of actions. Thats how it works. Its give and take, not "you cant do that im challenging." He does something, you respond and agree he can, or have actions that invalidate in your follow up. If he massively ignored set up and his post was entirely impossible, then thats when you challenge. If he is doing somethig He cant possibly do, thats when you challenge. But he hasnt said or done anything that would contradict earlier posts in this thread, nor is outside of the capabilities of our party nor himself as pertaining to the survival exams rules, in my opinion.
    Team B and the Second Coming Empty Re: Team B and the Second Coming
    Post by Chinoike Yui and Yua Wed Mar 04, 2020 10:01 am
    The twins continued to travel making sure to take very tough paths, if anything in a dense area of forest was fine, after all, they could soon turn this all into the desert. As they would continue to travel suddenly Miyu would speak in their mind, it was a warning someone was moving toward them and fast. So they did draw attention, as Yui would clench her fist, that piece of shit caused them to send out a giant fucking beacon to their location. She would begin to talk to Miyu in her mind, they likely had way more than one guest.
    "Miyu where exactly are they distance wise from us, give me the exact location we are going to need to react fast before they can get their plan formatted, no time to talk. Tell me when you are ready and we will react, its time to terraform this land, its exciting to be using this finally, and they won't expect this what so ever we never showed this at any point so far."
    They would wait in eager anticipation to know where the enemies were, once they had an idea they would be prepared to unleash hell on them. They would not be surprised this time, if it were one other person or thirty, they would soon teach them trying to trap a wild beast and cornering it was the worst idea possible.
    OOC: waiting for a location from Miyu to any targets in the area and will use a jutsu the second these locations are given to her
    Miyu felt when the team entered there range, grateful for Yui picking the harder paths. Since it seemed on of their members, she thought the chakra was of Rinni a Kumo Nin like them. Slowing them down, albeit a 'slow and steady pace' after them.
    Miyu let Yui and Yua know of the 4s exact location and speed, and  much like the last fight was going to let Yua and Yui know of their every movement.
    With them being slowed down by possibly-Rinni or a similar feeling wheelchaired Shinobi. They had time to plan.
    Or if the twins could, get them airborne. Or simply terraform the place and prepare for battle.
    If they stood their ground Miyu would see if and when they needed chains to make a protective, multi layered pile around them, and some extra to aide in their attacks. If necessary.
    Team B and the Second Coming Empty Re: Team B and the Second Coming
    Post by Kitsuki Kurahasa Wed Mar 04, 2020 7:39 pm
    Kitsuki followed Kye in silence as the Alliance moved through the jungle. Kit and Kye were up front with the Verdandi, her polar bear, and Rini bringing up the rear. Zizz, the Chronokinetic Angel, was sitting on Rini's shoulder. The celestial being had shrunk and zipped through her puppet at light-speed. It had cataloged the various intricacies within the construct and had committed them to memory. What it had analyzed had impressed it, and for this puppet to have been manufactured by a mind so young was nothing short of prodigious. Zizz had taken a liking to the spectacled redhead although it hadn't replied when Rini had tried to speak to it. She was still somewhat shy even though she found herself enraptured by the girl's genius. Kitsuki for her part wasn't the slightest bit jealous. She shared an invisible connection with Zizz. They were destined to be together. Kitsuki could feel it in her spirit. The strength of their bond could not be broken or replaced by a momentary fancy. Kit knew and understood this and so she had said nothing when the Angel had spent most of the journey settled on Rini's shoulder.
    Kit herself had taken a liking to the girl as well. She played the flute apparently and given how she was cleaning it she was more than familiar with the instrument. The flute was Kitsuki's secondary instrument and so while she would have ordinarily chastized Rini for using it in battle, ( after all why else would a genin bring such an object to the exams?) she declined to do so for two reasons. First, this was not the time nor the place. They could be attacked at any second and given Rini's limitations, Kitsuki could not rob her of a piece of her limited arsenal. Second, Kitsuki was curious as to how good Rini actually was. A bit of rivalry was stoked in her spirit and she wanted to see if this engineer could outplay her. Thus, Kitsuki had ignored the troubling implication of the flute for now and had instead spent her time focusing on potential threats.
    When Kye noticed Team B's tracks, Kit gave a quiet but distinct whistle. Zizz zipped from Rini's shoulder to Kit's. The musician and her angelic companion then made haste to follow Kye. She had increased her speed to keep up with him and as she did so she made a few preparatory seals with her left hand while her right gripped her cane. The girl was dressed in military fatigues, the colors of the camouflage being somewhat similar to the green of the jungle.
    After several minutes of running, the Gentleman and the Lady would be the first of their group to greet Team B. They were the strongest of the Alliance and thus bore the responsibility of making up the vanguard. Like before, Kit said nothing in the first instance. She preferred to instead yield the floor to Kye. If his words were not sufficient then she'd feel obligated to speak up and act as a gentle yet persuasive force to the negotiations. She figured that they may have to fight this time but there was no harm in trying to do things the peaceful way.
    Team B and the Second Coming Empty Re: Team B and the Second Coming
    Post by Verdandi Thu Mar 05, 2020 5:17 am
    Verdandi carefully moved behind Kye and Kit. She was mostly the silent type in the current case of things. There was no need for small talk. The initial worries of their alliance had faded by now. There was only a way forward now. It didn’t take long until Kye and Kit had picked up on a trail, following after them for quite a while but it seemed that the supposed prey in this case wasn’t clueless about their coming. Verd had personally hoped that they would encounter a neutral relic shrine instead of another group. Once the track was becoming clearer Kit and Kye started to speed up and enter their ambushing-gear of movement speed. Verd didn’t really mind to be the third wheel in this case, it would mean that the stronger two would be the first to face the potential opponent. While Kye was certainly going to exhale his rather demanding persona, Dandi was once again more hoping for another diplomatic resolution, putting her hopes into Kit’s ability and similar mindset on this case.
    Rini’s wheelchair had been re-attached to Avalanche for the most part of their tracking. Increasing her movement speed just about enough to make the groups chase viable. Verd was preparing herself to enter the potential battlefield with Avalanche on full attention, pulling out her blade this time just in case quick melee was required. Rini would most likely eject herself from the wagon-like setup with Ava pulling her wheelchair, allowing the four attackers to spread a bit out from their initial compacted group setup. Any skilled sensory would most likely notice now that there were at least five individuals incoming for them.
    Verd did not prepare any jutsu as of yet, partly cause she still hoped for negotiations, partly because she needed to properly assess the situation first, in any case the snow princess would focus on being a useful support to her primary partner, Rini and eventually backup Kit if she would find herself in trouble. Being unfamiliar with Kye’s skills he was probably her lowest priority at this point and considering that Avalanche was literally stronger than Verd herself, she wasn’t worried that he’d be the first in need of help.
    (Nothing prepared, Verd has full Chakra/Stamina)
    Team B and the Second Coming Empty Re: Team B and the Second Coming
    Post by Short_Stack Sat Mar 07, 2020 3:35 am
    Miyu decided that time needed to be bought and knew just what needed to be done, Yui, Yua, I'm sending out a clone and forming a dome around us. I need you to make as much sand as possible as my Clone runs off, and afterwards, I'll guide our actions as our eyes, and you can do the movements. This way we can be safe.
    Miyu then made a Shadow Clone, and watched it use Body Flicker to bolt through the woods. After Yui and Yua made the sand an X Rank Barrier would form around them. Keeping them safe from harm, and sealing chakra of anyone who touched it. Although i would do little against ranged jutsu, or physical attacks. It'd still save them from all but X rank damage, the only thing that would break their shield.
    But they could still effect the ground beneath them, and control their sand on the outside, but they wouldn't be able to send things out of that space, thankfully Miyu would be sitting down being their eyes. Guiding their movement, and letting them know what was going on around them.
    Clone Miyu (97.5 chakra)
    Having zipped a hundred meters out, she'd sit waiting for the soon to arrive intruders, but wanting to warn them of what they were walking into would hold up a hand, "Please, let me talk first before you make any choices or demands please?" Miyu would whimper. From the heavily singed clothing that looked to have been mostly damaged from a bomb blast, the ashy soot on her rain slicked skin, and her trembling body, it would be apparent to anyone that she had been through a lot.
    If allowed to talk first. She'd between gentle sobs, "The last team didn't care about rules, and moved from talking to blowing us up, where we barely survived, and I barely had time to shield us from a rain of 80 shurikens aimed to murder us. The rules apparently mean nothing, and we had one of our attempted murderers before he teleported away. So now we are scared, paranoid, and are going to be treating every encounter as if it were life and death.
    "Please, I beg of you, just turn away and let us worry about only one group of homicidal nutjobs. You have more than just us, you have two groups in your team, and 3 days to face people who aren't expecting you to murder them at any given second. Rest, recuperate, look for easier prey. Or ... well ... you can go past this clone and come after two girls who are fighting for their lives, and trying to find their attempted murderers, before they find them."
    With that, Miyu would wait for their response. Of course she would see the angel, but wouldn't know what it was. Nor that the angel could see past her body into "her". Even if she could, she wouldn't know how she'd judge a soul that placed freedom and happiness over cages and restraints, light and justice over evil and corruption, love over hate, and would do anything for those she loved. As well as the darker parts of her soul, her infinite loss and loneliness, her self-hatred, and fear of abandonment, her putting the lives of family and those she loved above all others. Nor her willingness to do anything to protect those she loved.*--
    But if he chose not to let her talk first, and gave his forceful demands and/or the others made threatening movements. The clone would simply poof away. Along with the knowledge that they were in serious danger.
    Team B and the Second Coming Empty Re: Team B and the Second Coming
    Post by Rini Sat Mar 07, 2020 12:22 pm
    Rini had fallen silent and focused on her cleaning and putting back together of her flute. Blowing a test sound out of it at a low volume just to make sure it was properly put together, she was satisfied that it was. Placing the flute between her knees, Rini then turned her attention to the path in front of them. She picked up on the cues that someone was close by even before Kye did. Pushing her glasses up on her face, Rini readjusted in her wheelchair, moving her hand to the metal wire loop that would free her. "Group close." Rini motioned to some broken branches and mud trails that had fresh prints in them.
    The feet prints were small, the same size even, but one was heavier footed than the other. That either meant that it was a heavier participant, or they were carrying someone. "Might be 3. Carrying, so tired? Probably fought yesterday." Rini's analysis was complete for the moment, and she sat up a little straighter, putting her hands between her knees to give herself a little bit more of a lift, as well as to grab her flute and keep it hidden from sight at the moment.
    They came upon the clone and barrier, and Rini immediately took in her sight. Definitely had fought recently, given the state of her clothing. To her, it was perfect. Barriers like that had to be expensive, and that meant they could whittle them down just by waiting it out. There was no way that they would be able to keep it up the entire day, and that meant that they would run out of chakra long before their group would. The super team was fresh and completely rested, with no injuries and no chakra expenditures. Their opponents were wounded, already used chakra, and that spelled a tough problem for them.
    Rini called forward. "Easier prey won't come. You're injured and using chakra. You are the easy prey. Probably won your last fight, but you won't last in the exams like that. We don't need to fight you though. We gave them our relic without a fight, hence the team up. You can set your relics at the edge of the barrier, and then leave out the back with no worry from us. In exchange, whoever tried to kill you can deal with us, or you can join us. Miyu, I know you. You're a Kumo nin, former Kiri nin. I'm Rini Nakamura, Kumo nin. Kye is a Kumo nin. Verdandi and Kitsuki are both Kiri nin. That puts you in the interesting position of being allies of both of our nations. Your ally, I'm assuming the twins? One carried you, size matches up. That's Kumo as well. Wouldn't murder my own nation's shinobi."
    Rini held no hostility in her, but she was completely fine if combat were to break out. She was incredibly logical when she spoke, choosing to forgo an emotional response and using pure logic and intelligence. That was the best way she knew how to communicate, since she really didn't know how to talk to people otherwise, unless she herself was upset.
    Rini examined the barrier, and made a mental note that she needed to learn Fuuinjutsu sooner rather than later. The barrier was definitely something else, a complicated seal for sure. She began to contemplate different ways to pierce it without breaking it with brute force. There was always some way around stuff like that, and the obvious answer was to just wait it out. They could siege the group easily if needed. But surely there were other ways. Conversation and sound passed through, so maybe?
    Rini had a plan if it came down to it.
    Team B and the Second Coming Empty Re: Team B and the Second Coming
    Post by Chinoike Yui and Yua Sat Mar 07, 2020 6:20 pm
    The Twins listened to Miyu as well as the girl that spoke after, her name was Rini it appeared and she was from Kumo along with someone named Kye. She did suspect if they were from Kumo they likely had zero plans to harm the twins, Shimiko was their known mother figure and if they valued living they would never betray the twins or Miyu. This was a tough choice, they would still have to surrender their relics and there was no way to guarantee they would acquire more, but at this time they knew fighting would be an issue. They did not worry about themselves but Miyu barely survived the attack she had taken. The twins would sigh, as much as they wanted to fight it would be unwise and foolish for sure, part of becoming a Chuunin was also knowing when to take a defeat.
    "We agree with Miyu we will hand over the relics and join your little group, however, if anyone dares to try to ambush us in any way we will kill each and every one of you and devour even your souls. Of course, I doubt anyone would be that foolish unless that wanted Shimiko our mother to come for them, let me assure you none of you would survive a fight against her."
    The twins would motion for Miyu to drop the relics outside the barrier and lower it with them showing their hands in the air. Clearly, they showed no movement or indication they planned to attack, Zizz likely would feel the dark and evil malice the twins held inside themselves are their eyes would begin to fade from the dark red glow back to normal. If anyone dared attack however the twins will kill all of them as promised or die trying, this was not a lie and if anyone could tell the twins were quite serious and ready to fight if needed.
    "Miyu let us hope this is the end to the fighting from them, I would hate to kill so many people, though I am sure Lord Jashin would be pleased."
    The pair would be wearing the black dress they often wore and were known and well famous in their own village, there was little to no chance Kye and Rini had not heard of them.
    Stats and Jutsu:
    OOC: Jutsu still prepared just in case of an ambush, once the threat has been shown to not exist they will stop being prepared.
    Team B and the Second Coming Empty Re: Team B and the Second Coming
    Post by Kye Sun Mar 08, 2020 3:24 pm
    Kye stopped his pursuit when he noticed one of the opposing teams approach him at a quickened pace, readying himself for combat. It was a natural reaction when being charge it, but his guard quickly lowered when she stopped short showing no signs of hostility. After a brief exchange of words from his party and the diplomat from the other team. Kye raised an eyebrow at the twin girl's mentioning of Shimiko, unaware that the blonde had any kids of her own. They certainly didn't look the part leading him to believe Shimiko was their adopted mother. That or 'mother' being used as a form of endearment. They failed to intimidate Kye despite their efforts, but none of that mattered in the end. The opposing team seemed cooperative in delivering the relic. Kye nonchalantly raised a half tiger hand sign to create a shadow clone and had the clone retrieve the two relics, inspecting them thoroughly for any tricks or traps. He'd prick it with his thumb nail to break any transformations that could possibly be in place while searching it for Fuuinjutsu writing or hidden traps. But once it passed his inspecting he would bring it back to Rini and Verdandi.
    Once the relics were delivered to the other two the clone would poof away and return the chakra back to the host body. "I'm sure Shimiko and your Lord Jashin will be pleased to know that you will both return home safely. Rest assured that any threat you both have in this jungle will be all of ours." Kye said offering some kind of positive sentiment to their newly found pact. "So what now?" He addressed the group as a whole. Kye's team and Rini's team both achieved their goal. Now would make sense to head to the center. "We are supposed to meet up at the mountain summit tomorrow. I don't think they're letting anybody out the gates anytime soon unless there is an emergency. I think we're supposed to ride the cable cars down."
    Team B and the Second Coming Empty Re: Team B and the Second Coming
    Post by Kitsuki Kurahasa Sun Mar 08, 2020 11:27 pm
    The pink-haired girl began to plead with them and as she spoke a growing sense of unease wormed its way into Kitsuki's stomach. Zizz sensed her host's nervousness and took the opportunity to peer into Miyu's heart. The Angel's resonance found goodness, charity, and compassion. The Uzumaki-Ryuutei knew what it meant to be in other's shoes and when she spoke there was sincerity in each syllable. The pair had been attacked by a duo with no regard for the rules. They had barely escaped with their lives and now they were telling the Alliance that if they pursued combat it would be no holds barred. Kitsuki didn't need Zizz to tell her that the girl meant every word of what she had said.
    Kitsuki was about to reply when none other than Rini spoke up. She wasn't exactly eloquent but what she lacked in persuasive force she more than made up for in cold hard logic. The girl's sentences and syntax were structured like a mathematical proof. As she spoke, Zizz analyzed. Miyu's benevolent exterior was a shell, there was something else at her core. Something rather dark and sinister. Either she was lying to them or she had some kind of split personality.
    ⵜⵀⴻ pⵉⵏⴽⴻⴷ ⵀⴰⵉⵔⴻⴷ oⵏⴻ. ⵙⵀⴻ ⵉⵙ ⵀⵉⴷⵉⵏⴳ ⵙoⵎⴻⵜⵀⵉⵏⴳ ⴽⵉⵜⵙⵓⴽⵉ. Pⵍⴻⴰⵙⴻ ⴱⴻ oⵏ ⴳⵓⴰⵔⴷ ⴰⵏⴷ ⵜⵀⵉⵙ oⵜⵀⴻⵔ oⵏⴻ ⵜⵀⴻ...
    Kitsuki's and her guardian Angel's eyes fell on the jinchurikki and in that moment they were both in-sync.
    ⴽⵉⵜⵙⵓⴽⵉ...
    ⵢⴻⴰⵀ ⵉ ⴼⴻⴻⵍ ⵉⵜ ⵜoo... Kitsuki thought in Mende.
    This was the first time that had ever happened. Usually her brain automatically translated Mende and reproduced it in her mother tongue. But not here and not now. There was something about the twins that made her uneasy and when they began speaking she realized who they were and what they were. They agreed to hand over their relic but in doing so there was an implicit threat. If they were betrayed or attacked they'd tear them to pieces. Even worse they uttered a name that chilled Kitsuki's spine.
    Shimiko....
    The Kumo Jashinist that had fought Nozomi in the Final Round of the Shinobi World Tournament. A woman whose sins against humanity were legend. The twins are her kids? That means... Kitsuki didn't even need to complete the thought. The Twins outright stated that Lord Jashin would be pleased if they were forced to kill others during the Exams. That settled it. These twins were affiliated with one of the most powerful and evil kunoichi in shinobi history. Zizz slowly lifted herself off of Kitsuki's shoulders. The Angel was stark naked but it plethora of wings began to shift and contort, covering its immodesty but also glowing ominously. Kitsuki locked eyes with the demonic pair of twins and in the moment Yui and Yua's glowed a faint red, Kitsuki's would turn a golden shade. She gripped her cane tightly and considered their words. Zizz did indeed feel a darkness inside of them. A darkness and malevolence that it was hard-coded to recognize. A malevolence it was hard-coded to destroy. Kitsuki had learned much about Jashinism back at the WASP School. They were reviled as being one of the most evil institutions in the modern world. The Raikage had gone insane and legalized a religion of wanton murder and mutilation. The thought had frightened Kit back at the Academy, but now, it enraged her. Everything Irui had done in the first stage of the exams seemed trivial in comparison. The boy was a cheat, a clever cheat, but a cheat all the same. This was different. This was murder.
    Kitsuki began to doubt their story. Knowing what she did about the Church, it would make sense that they probably brought a lethal attack on themselves. Either by threatening or cajoling others to up the ante. Once they did that, they'd be able to kill their opponents while claiming "self-defense". Justice demanded that Kitsuki put a stop to their reign of terror right then and there. The Angel amplified her thoughts and strengthened her resolve, its own programming telling it that the Twins must be annihilated. Fortunately, Kitsuki's rationality prevailed. The twins surrendered the relic and lifted their hands in the air. Kye spoke up breaking her focus on them and adding to the tenseness of the situation. He was playing to their biases, even she could see that, but that didn't make it right. He spoke as if Shimiko and Jashin's happiness meant anything good. The musician cast him a cold glance but said nothing.
    The thought of welcoming them into the Alliance turned Kitsuki's stomach. They didn't deserve the group's protection. Murderers and demon worshipers the lot of them! Kitsuki said nothing but it was clear from her body language that she was rather upset. It occurred to her that if Rini had not offered to let them join the group, they may have just given up their relic peacefully and without them coming along. Kye would make a clone who grabbed the relics, inspected them, and after deeming them safe, handed them to Rini and Verdandi. She was on edge the whole time, just waiting for something to go wrong. Once the transaction had been completed, Kitsuki lifted her cane and placed it on her shoulder. They weren't in any immediate danger and it'd be foolish to attack now. They had just turned over their relic and as much as Kit hated it, she was not in a position to refuse them. She had made a promise to Verd and Rini that the two of them would receive a new set of relics. Kit cut her eyes at Kye though. She had thought the man a model gentleman but the way he casually interacted with the twins reminded her of a simple fact.
    They were from Kumogakure.
    A nation that had allowed the Orthodoxy to thrive and spread its poison across the country. It clearly didn't bother him enough to leave the nation. She knew she was being unfair to him but the pent up aggression when faced with a Bijuu had to go somewhere and with no release, she found herself blaming her allies. She expected evil from the twins and their pink haired companion. She did not expect her own group to be so accepting of them. The girl walked away from the situation without saying a word. Rini appeared to be the smartest one in the group and that meant she would be the one most likely to receive Kit's message. The Angel floated from Kit's shoulder and made its way back over to Rini. Then it did something curious.
    It transmitted a series of signals into Rini's mind. Zizz's method of communication was difficult to describe. It operated on two channels. The first channel was the heart, the second the mind. The Angel figured with Rini's erudite nature the second channel was the way to go. The signals broadcast could be likened to Morse code or perhaps binary. A logical series of flickers and beeps that were invisible, soundless, and rapid. One would picture something akin to a beep, a light being turned on and off, or perhaps a heart-rate monitor. However, the signals were not random. They were precise. Algorithmic. A truly gifted mind could decipher the pattern and once they did, they'd find that certain sequences corresponded to pictures. The pictures were of words and sentence fragments. In the span of a few short seconds, a person of next level intelligence could decipher the Mende alphabet and communicate with Zizz as though she were speaking to them directly. Assuming Rini was such a gifted individual, Zizz would deliver a psychic message straight from Kitsuki.
    ⴽⵉⵜⵙⵓⴽⵉ ⵙⴰⵢⵙ ⵜⵀⴰⵜ ⵉⵜ ⵡⴰⵙ ⴰ ⵎⵉⵙⵜⴰⴽⴻ ⵜo ⵉⵏⵠⵉⵜⴻ ⵜⵀⴻⵎ ⵉⵏⵜo oⵓⵔ ⴳⵔoⵓp. ⵢoⵓ ⵙⵀoⵓⵍⴷ ⵀⴰⵠⴻ ⵊⵓⵙⵜ pⵔoⵎⵉⵙⴻⴷ ⵜo ⴳⵉⵠⴻ ⵜⵀⴻⵎ ⵙⴰⴼⴻ pⴰⵙⵙⴰⴳⴻ ⵜo ⴻⵅⵉⵜ ⵜⵀⴻ ⴻⵅⴰⵎⵙ. ⵡⴻ ⴰⵔⴻ ⵏoⵜ ⵙⴰⴼⴻ ⵜⵔⴰⵠⴻⵍⵉⵏⴳ ⵡⵉⵜⵀ ⵜⵀoⵙⴻ ⵜⵡo. ⵜⵀⴻⵢ ⵛⴰⵏ ⵀⵓⵔⵜ ⵓⵙ ⴰⵏⴷ ⵉⴼ ⵜⵀⴻⵢ ⴷo ⵉⵜ ⵡⵉⵍⵍ ⴱⴻ ⵢoⵓⵔ ⴼⴰⵓⵍⵜ.
    Translation: Kitsuki says that it was a mistake to invite them into our group. You should have just promised to give them safe passage to exit the Exams. We are not safe traveling with those two. They can hurt us and if they do it will be your fault.
    "We should make camp here for the night and take turns watching out for anyone who might attack us. I doubt anyone would be that stupid but desperation can make people do dumb things."
    Kitsuki looked at Rini when she said the last part. Normally it wasn't in her nature to insult others but she found the situation frustrating. She wanted to beat the twins into submission and call the proctors. She did not want to give them a chance to hurt others. And yet, she could not do that. And it was all because of her so-called "ally" and her supposedly higher than average IQ.
    Team B and the Second Coming Empty Re: Team B and the Second Coming
    Post by Verdandi Mon Mar 09, 2020 12:24 am
    Verdandi's face seemed almost devoid of emotion during most part of the interaction. Their clone came to negotiate, the team exhaled it's diplomatic agenda, they surrendered their relics which in this survival exam was basically equal to every purpose of even being here. Verd had been in their position only a few hours earlier. As an empath she could sense how emotions were edging. Kye just had exhaled his honest domineering attitude. Kit was being useful and prepared. Rini had analyzed and calculated potential threats. The fact that Rini wasn't moving to hostile position lead Verd to sheath her blade and joined her allies slowly, keeping a palm on Avalanche's collar while caressing him. He too had felt the excitement of the moment and was nervous. Kye was still trigger happy. Rini prepared her own wits just in case and Kit seemed to be unusually bothered by the situation. Now that their relics were confiscated, Rini would be able to check them properly for fraud.
    Verdandi walked towards the negotiation clone, it'd probably disperse soon as it had served it's purpose. The barrier would most likely be removed as well once the offered peace motion had settled into everyone’s mind. Verd ought it wouldn't hurt to help defusing the burning emotions. She calmly emitted a few waves of her ice chakra into the area, non-offensively, lowering the temperature slightly, literally cooling everyone down a bit. While she passed Kit, she'd gently touch her shoulder and give her a warm smile. Verd exhaled a soothing "Shhh" noise, telling her fanatic friend to calm and hold her horses, she didn't notice Zizz moving to Rini or anything, Dandi just tried to use her little usefulness to compliment the diffusing of the peaked emotions.
    Once Kit mentioned that they should set up camp, Avalanche moved to Kit and brushed his head to Kit's shoulder where Verd had touched her. As if imitating his Master, growling a few times calmly as if to try and mimic Verd's ambitions to soothe her friend. Verd had passed her team. She'd have to pass the barrier next or wait till it was removed. She'd probably have to get past the original clone-girl and eventually put herself in the vulnerability to be within the new unfamiliar people’s mercy. Verd's body still emitted a cooling aura, the temperature wasn't cold at all, just clearly removing a lot of sweat-working heat from the area. Allowing the situation to feel drier and more neutral. Verd still moved carefully and slowly. Like approaching a predator animal. Verd would be able to see both, the negotiator and the twins up close if they allowed. She slowly pointed at her clearly marked medical-bag at her thigh. Keeping her hands in visible range for everyone to slowly build up the trust needed to move on from this.
    If all went as Verd would have guessed it would, her team would eventually catch up, wheelchair lady and bear included, everyone facing each other at last. With Verd having put herself into the position of the freely-given hostage they could kill at whim if they felt threatened any further. Yes, they would have to set up a camp and come to terms what’s next. They still had some time left before the exam was over.
    "I'm a medic, intern - not fully trained, but I can give first aid. If any of you need it."
    (Verd uses a 1 stamina to alter the temperature from hot into soothing mild cool breeze via her basic bloodline ability.)
    Post by Short_Stack Mon Mar 09, 2020 1:04 am
    The Main Miyu lowered her Adamantine Sealing Chains Dome and let Kye inspect the relics, she was a little unnerved by the Twins show of aggression, but at the same time couldn't fault them for using intimidation tactics, what did get her was the fact that the small fairy and the one with a cane seemed on edge at the mention of Shimi-nee. An unease which she could settle hopefully once and for all, once the white haired one had cooled everyone off, using Suuin, she'd be bathed in a holy light that radiated holy-:divine energy. Like a cloak,  "I'm Miyu Ryuutei. Sister of the Clan Heads Satori and Midori Ryuutei. I notice that you and the small one are uneasy about us. If we are going to be in a group, I can apply telepathy seals to us all, it will allow us to communicate over distances, and for you two? You can enter my mind and see that I'm not a threat, nor the monster that most of Kiri thinks I am. You can see the real me and judge for yourselves if I am a danger or an ally."
    Miyu definitely needed to add that part. After all, the Ryuutei were a well known warrior clan, that was alloted a large swath of private land since the villages founding to train their youth, and with the Demon of the Mist being it's clan head, she'd need to show in no uncertain way that she posed no threat. Of course being awash in holy light was a good way to ease things, but it could never hurt to help ease things along by letting them see "the real her."
    Looking at Verd, she'd give a nod, "The power of love and friendship saved me from the worst of the blast, but if you could heal the twins that would be lovely, as for keeping watch. I'm a sensory Nin, I can stay up and keep an eye out as everyone sleeps. Unless, the cane-person wants to keep an eye on me and the twins personally, although I can say that as long as we aren't attacked, we will be helpful allies."
    Team B and the Second Coming Empty Re: Team B and the Second Coming
    Post by Rini Wed Mar 11, 2020 12:37 am
    Perfectly negotiated, Rini would pat herself on the back in a metaphorical sense. She knew that logic could win out in this instance. The survival rounds were a cinch for a girl such as her. In a way, it made sense. Rini was able to use her analysis and deductive abilities to take into account their every advantage and disadvantage. To her, this was nothing more than a live action shogi board, with her capturing the pieces that threatened her and using them for her own gain. Part of it was luck in their initial pairing, but her intuition hadn't led her astray yet. As she was given the relics, Rini tucked them away into her pants, and swapped out the fake relic she'd made while she did so. It looked almost identical to the other pieces, but under intense scrutiny wouldn't hold up. Placing that one in her pocket, Rini nodded to herself. Now, even if things went south later on, she could hand over a fake relic and still have the two for her and Verdandi. Most groups would only need 1. And with a group like theirs....
    She was cut off from her thinking by a sudden flash of symbols in her head, having been unaware that Zizz had flown over to her. She'd zoned out a little as she'd been contemplating things. Almost immediately, Rini's pattern recognition deciphered the symbols, and she knew exactly what Zizz said. It took a couple of seconds, even for her, but her memory was mind for such things. Pondering for a moment, Rini thought back in the same pattern.
    "ⵏo ⵏⴻⴻⴷ ⵜo ⵡoⵔⵔⵢ ⴰⴱoⵓⵜ ⵉⵜ ⵜoo ⵎⵓⵛⵀ. ⴰⵍⵜⵀoⵡⴳⵀ ⵉⴼ ⵢoⵓ ⵡⴰⵏⵜ ⵜo ⴷⵉⵜⵛⵀ ⵜⵀⴻⵎ, ⵡⴻ ⵛⴰⵏ ⴷo ⵙo? ⴰⵙ ⵜⵀⴻⵢ ⴰⵔⴻ ⵏoⵡ, ⵉⵜ ⵡoⵓⵍⴷ ⴱⴻ ⵙⵉⵎpⵍⴻ ⴻⵏoⵓⴳⵀ ⵜo ⵜⴰⴽⴻ ⵜⵀⴻⵎ oⵏ, ⴰⵏⴷ ⵜⵀⴻⵉⵔ ⴳⵓⴰⵔⴷⵙ ⴰⵔⴻ ⴷoⵡⵏ, ⴱⵓⵜ ⵜⵀⴻⵢ ⴰⵍⵙo ⴰⵔⴻⵏ'ⵜ ⴰ ⵜⵀⵔⴻⴰⵜ ⴰⵏⵢ ⵍoⵏⴳⴻⵔ. ⵉⴼ ⵉ ⴷⵉⴷⵏ'ⵜ oⴼⴼⴻⵔ ⵜⵀⴻⵎ ⵜⵀⴻ ⵛⵀⴰⵏⵛⴻ ⵜo ⵊoⵉⵏ ⵡⵉⵜⵀ oⵓⵔ ⴳⵔoⵓp, ⵜⵀⴻⵢ ⵍⵉⴽⴻⵍⵢ ⵡoⵓⵍⴷ ⵀⴰⵠⴻ ⴼoⵓⴳⵀⵜ ⴰⵏⴷ ⵜⵀⴰⵜ ⴱⴰⵔⵔⵉⴻⵔ ⵡⴰⵙ ⴱⴻⵢoⵏⴷ ⵓⵙ. ⵛoⵔⵏⴻⵔⴻⴷ ⴰⵏⵉⵎⴰⵍⵙ ⴰⵔⴻ ⴷⴰⵏⴳⴻⵔoⵓⵙ. ⵡⴻ ⴰⵠoⵉⴷⴻⴷ ⵛoⵎⴱⴰⵜ ⵜⵀⵉⵙ ⵡⴰⵢ. ⵉⴼ ⵢoⵓ ⵡⴰⵏⵜ ⵎⴻ ⵜo, ⵉ ⵛⴰⵏ ⴽⴻⴻp ⵜⴰⴱⵙ oⵏ ⵜⵀⴻⵎ ⴰⵏⴷ ⵙⴻⵏⴷ ⴰ ⵎⴻⵙⵙⴰⴳⴻ ⵉⴼ ⵜⵀⴻⵢ ⴳⴻⵜ ⴼⴻⵉⵙⵜⵢ, ⴰⵙ ⵍoⵏⴳ ⴰⵙ ⵢoⵓ ⴽⴻⴻp ⵜⵀⵉⵙ opⴻⵏ ⵜo ⵎⴻ. ⵉ'ⵎ ⴳooⴷ ⴰⵜ pⵔⴻⴷⵉⵛⵜⵉⵏⴳ ⴱⴻⵀⴰⵠⵉoⵔⴰⵍ pⴰⵜⵜⴻⵔⵏⵙ ⴱⴻⴼoⵔⴻ ⵜⵀⴻⵢ ⵀⴰppⴻⵏ. oⵔ ⵡⴻ ⵛⴰⵏ ⴼⵉⴳⵀⵜ. ⵢoⵓⵔ ⵛⵀoⵉⵛⴻ. ⵜⵀⴻ pⵔoⵎⵉⵙⴻ ⵡⴰⵙ ⵜo ⴰⵙⵙⵉⵙⵜ ⵓⵙ ⵉⵏ ⴳⴰⵜⵀⴻⵔⵉⵏⴳ ⵜⵀⴻ ⵔⴻⵍⵉⵛⵙ, ⴰⵏⴷ ⵜⵀⴰⵜ'ⵙ ⴱⴻⴻⵏ ⴼⵓⵍⴼⵉⵍⵍⴻⴷ. ⴼⵔoⵎ ⴼⴻⵔⴻ, ⵉ'ⵎ ⵊⵓⵙⵜ tryⵉⵏⴳ ⵜo ⵎⴰⴽⴻ ⵉⵜ ⵜo ⵜⵀⴻ ⴻⵏⴷ. ⵡⴻ ⵏⴻⴻⴷ ⵜⵔⵓⵙⵜ ⴼoⵔ ⵜⵀⴰⵜ. ⵉⴼ ⴽⵉⵜⵙⵓⴽⵉ ⴷoⴻⵙⵏ'ⵜ ⵜⵔⵓⵙⵜ ⵜⵀⴻⵎ, ⵜⵀⴻⵏ ⵡⴻ ⵎⴰⵢ ⵏⴻⴻⴷ ⵜo ⵍⴻⵜ ⵜⵀⴻⵎ ⴳo. ⵀoⵡⴻⵠⴻⵔ ⵙⵀⴻ ⵡⴰⵏⵜⵙ ⵜo ⵀⴰⵏⴷⵍⴻ ⵉⵜ, ⵉ'ⵎ oⴽⴰⵢ ⵡⵉⵜⵀ. ⵢoⵓ'ⵠⴻ pⵔoⵠⴻⵏ ⵜⵔⵓⵙⵜⵡoⵔⵜⵀⵢ ⵜⵀⵓⵙ ⴼⴰⵔ."
    Rini's own mind automatically translated her thoughts into Mende, given her knack for these sorts of things. She was used to thinking in cryptic codes so people couldn't just read her mind somehow and figure out what she had said.
    As for the rest of the day, Rini was more or less silent, keeping a watchful eye over the group. She wanted to make sure that nobody was in any further danger, nor would be a danger to others here. They had completed their goals, so all that mattered now was getting to the end zone and getting out with the relics. With 3 groups total, each with additional numbers than a normal group should have, they would crush any group in their way.
    Rini, her puppet, Verdandi, Avalanche, Kitsuki, Zizz, Kye, Yui, Yua, their bijuu, and Miyu. A team of insurmountable abilities.
    Team B and the Second Coming Empty Re: Team B and the Second Coming
    Post by Chinoike Yui and Yua Wed Mar 11, 2020 11:18 am
    It seemed everything was fine, as for the wounds they needed medical treatment for sure, just had no time to treat the wounds. They did wonder what others would think when they saw huge chunks of skin missing and raw flesh exposed, part of the fun of transforming into the tailed beast. They wondered how they would do this there was a male here but they did not care if others saw their bodies.
    "We have a lot of wounds, and some of you may feel sick if you see them, I suggest whoever is treating me go a little more privacy of an area. I am a girl after all and as I said the wounds we have are not something the faint of heart want to see. Yua can heal me but having extra hands with the bandaging will be useful for sure."
    They waited to see what the group would say as they began to move close by but not in the sight of the camp and began to remove the dress. The skin still gone it caused Yui to visibly show some pain however it was removed and the many many scars on her body showed. The skin was almost melted off it seemed as Yua would begin to focus his chakra and begin to try to heal as much as he could. He seemed to be focusing on the most discomforting areas for Yui as he healed the shoulder areas and began to move down toward anywhere where clothes would fit tightly. Ther body outside of the skin had so many scars, whip marks, burn scars, and many signs of clear physical abuse or torture showed.
    It seemed they were able to recruit the other team with no effort. They submitted quicker than Rini and Verdandi, but when you looked the way you did he was sure there was little fighting spirit left in their body. Verdandi offered medical while Kitsuki suggested camp. It didn't seem like a bad idea. After all it was pouring hard and moving in the rain was least desirable. Of course with as many people as they had, food was an issue. He turned his head towards the bear, the beast of burden who was capable of eating twenty or so pounds of food a day. If this were an ordinary fishing scenario, no problem. But he wasn't going to sacrifice his day and time trying to gather enough fish to feed that thing. He was sure the bear was self-sufficient and he only needed to focus on gathering food for the humans, which were still equally a lot.
    "So be it. Start getting comfortable. I'll find some food." Kye would memorize their location before heading off into the jungle to the nearest stream. He'd spend his time trying to gather as much fish as he could for the party.
    Team B and the Second Coming Empty Re: Team B and the Second Coming
    Post by Kitsuki Kurahasa Fri Mar 13, 2020 2:02 am
    Kit felt something nudge against her and she looked to see that it was Avalanche. Around the same time, Kitsuki felt a reassuring hand on her shoulder. Verdandi. Kit's anger cooled a bit both literally and figuratively. The Ice Princess had used her latent abilities to bring a soothing chill to the area. Kit breathed out and did her best to calm down. She was among friends. If these Jashinists tried to betray her, she'd have all she needed to defend herself from them. Kit scratched at Avalanche's neck, playfully rubbing his fur as she did her best to center herself on feelings of love and compassion. Zizz had told her that the essence of being a warrior is to fight to protect what you love, not destroy what you hate. The memory alleviated Kit's tension and the feeling immediately circuited back to the Angel which reminded itself of its larger purpose.
    ⵓpⵍⵉⴼⵜⵉⵏⴳ ⵏoⵜ ⴷⴻⵙⵜⵔoⵢⵉⵏⴳ.
    In the spirit of compassion, Verdandi offered to heal their newfound allies. Kit turned to see the pinkette bathed in a glow of holy light. It wasn't much unlike what Zizz had covered her in when she had practiced the Tenshijutsu style. Kit said nothing as she listened to the girl now identified as Miyu Ryuutei. The name rang a bell. More specifically, the last name rang a bell. The Ryuutei Clan was filled with cannibals and savages. It wasn't a bigoted belief, they prided themselves on their old ways. Kit did not approve of course, and she could see how being raised in such a culture could lead a pure-hearted woman into the depths of evil. She offered to let Kit into her mind to which the musician shook her head.
    "The cane-person has a name. Kitsuki Kurahasa....I'm glad that you're on our side but I don't have any interest in entering your mind. So long as you respect me and my allies, you have nothing to fear from me."
    Kitsuki would be keeping an eye on them, but she left it at that. She wasn't buying this holy aura or the "power of love and friendship" act. There was a deception at play here. It was possible Miyu wasn't even aware of it, but that didn't mean Kit was going to take any chances. It would take more than words and some fancy light tricks to earn her trust.
    She turned her attention to Zizz who at this point was pretty much spazzing out with excitement and joy. She had transmitted Kitsuki's message to Rini. Zizz had expected the girl to take a few minutes to process it and respond. The Angel was certain that the girl had the requisite intelligence to understand what was being communicated to her. The designs of the puppet she had built were simple yet belied a genius level intellect. Like most people, she expected Rini's translation and response to be rudimentary and basic. Instead, what she got was a full blown monologue in perfect Mende. Zizz had never seen anyone pick up the language so quickly. Granted, she didn't have much experience with humans but even Kit hadn't really grasped the nuances of the script to the point where she could think in paragraphs of it. It was like arriving in a foreign nation and coming across someone who spoke your native tongue with a perfect accent. Zizz started doing loops in the air as she listened to Rini utter her mother tongue with perfect fluency. It was music to the celestial being's ears. Kit raised an eyebrow and wondered what Rini had said that got her so excited.
    When Zizz relayed the message, she communicated to Kit that Rini not only understood Mende, she was fluent in speaking it. For the first time since she had known her guardian Angel, Kit felt a pang of jealousy. It had taken her months to learn the language. Her and Zizz shared an invisible connection and that was why they understood each other. It was a tether of the heart and soul, not of the mind. For Rini to be able to converse with Zizz in such an intimate way made her feel envious. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't good either. At this point, she could respect Rini's intelligence which by now she was certain was off the charts. Even her reasons for making the offer were good. Kitsuki appreciated that her ally's eye for strategy and social behavior. She thus deferred to her judgment. If the situation was about to get dicey then Rini would let her now and would back up whatever course of action she chose to take.
    Kit delivered another message to Rini via Zizz. The invisible line of communication between them would remain open for the rest of the survival bouts.
    ⵉ ⴳⵓⴻⵙⵙ ⵢoⵓ'ⵔⴻ ⵔⵉⴳⵀⵜ. ⵙoⵔⵔⵢ ⴼoⵔ ⵙⵏⴰppⵉⵏⴳ ⴰⵜ ⵢoⵓ. ⵍⴻⵜ'ⵙ ⴽⴻⴻp ⴰⵏ opⴻⵏ ⵍⵉⵏⴻ oⴼ ⵛoⵎⵎⵓⵏⵉⵛⴰⵜⵉoⵏ, pⵔopⵙ ⴼoⵔ ⴷⴻⵛⵉpⵀⴻⵔⵉⵏⴳ ⵎⴻⵏⴷⴻ ⵙo ⵇⵓⵉⵛⴽⵍⵢ ⴱⵢ ⵜⵀⴻ ⵡⴰⵢ. ⵢoⵓ ⵎⵓⵙⵜ ⴱⴻ ⵔⴻⴰⵍⵍⵢ ⵙⵎⴰⵔⵜ. ⵉ'ⵎ ⴳⵍⴰⴷ ⵢoⵓ'ⵔⴻ oⵏ oⵓⵔ ⵙⵉⴷⴻ
    Translation: I guess you're right. Sorry for snapping at you. Let's keep an open line of communication, props for deciphering Mende so quickly by the way. You must be really smart. I'm glad you're on our side.
    Kitsuki gave Rini a solid nod indicating that they were on the same page. When the twins had revealed their allegiance to Jashinism and Shimiko she allowed her fear, hatred, and bitterness to cloud her judgment. But the reality was that the deal made sense and while it was risky, it was a Chuunin's job to take calculated risks. Kit decided that the odds were in their favor and that taking this new group in was a smart strategy.
    Kitsuki looked at Verdandi who went off to help treat the twin's wounds. She wanted to follow but something told her Verdandi had it under control. Even so, both Kitsuki and Zizz would stay on high alert. If anything were to happen to her friend Verdandi, she'd never be able to forgive herself.
    Kit busied herself with some work. She unslung her backpack and began helping out with setting up camp.
    Team B and the Second Coming Empty Re: Team B and the Second Coming
    Post by Verdandi Fri Mar 13, 2020 4:08 am
    Verdandi moved to the wounded pair that did look alike enough to actually be twins indeed. She scratched her own head, from all participants in this group Verd had probably the lowest amount of intel on foreign clans or abilities, she never had seen a chakra beast either so the origins of these ghastly wounds were completely unknown to her. She wondered what kind of sick person would have done such damage to them. However, med school in shinobi world wasn’t really recruiting people with a weak stomach. Verd’s eyes became glassy and her emotions slowly shut further down, using her cooling ability didn’t just work on others but also allowed her to force-calm herself down to the point she did feel almost no emotion.
    Once they managed to set up a bunch of tents, Verd would occupy one of them with the twins and with Miyu if she wanted. Leaving Kit and Rini together with Avalanche at the center of the camp while Kye seemingly headed out to seek for food. Verd occasionally glared at the twins. A voice in her head kept telling her occasionally. “You have no defense here. They could kill you before…” but Verd shook it off. She didn’t care. It was an ethical question. She didn’t know anything about Jashin worshippers or Ryuutei and probably even if she did, judging someone from their upbringing was not Verdandi’s way. The twins eventually would be urged to fully undress as far as required.
    Yui seemed to have far more grisly injuries than her counterpart. Verd nodded pulled out her rather complete medical gear. She put her ointments and pills on one edge and unrolled the medical tool belt next to it. At first, she would repurpose one of her small cloth containers into some sort of cup, putting a mixture of military, coagulation and blood pills into them, crushing them and mixing them into a single medicine. The mix should restore lost blood, stop remaining bleedings and return some much-needed energy. She would hand the mix to Yua so she would feed her sister, there were enough pills mixed into it that Yua could consume some of it as well if wanted.
    Once the medicine was fed, Yui would be urged to bite down on the cloth. A common practice to avoid patients for accidentally biting their tongue off. Dandi would pour the wounds with alcohol and quickly wash them out with some water from her flask. It would be painful. Yui might scream, or not. Verdandi knew it was necessary to avoid infection of open wounds even if someone was used to flesh wounds. She figured that sewing the remaining skin pockets together didn’t make sense and a lot of chakra healing could eventually do a much better job as well. Verd just focused on cleaning the wound and then poured her healing ointment onto it. Once it seemed all well spread over the painful spots, Verd would help Yua bandage the whole area. On top of it, Verd would exhale a thing layer of ice onto the bandages. Brittle enough so it could break off and not restrict any movement, just enough to cool and fixate the bandages a bit better.
    For the remainder of their day Verd would try to help Yua as well and together look after Yui. Trying to watch and learn if Yua had any ways of treatment ready that Verd was not familiar with.
    Team B and the Second Coming Empty Re: Team B and the Second Coming
    Post by Rini Mon Mar 16, 2020 7:21 pm
    Things had gone rather smoothly. She could tell that she'd impressed both Zizz and Kitsuki with her ability to translate Zizz's language so eloquently. Having acquired their relics, Rini focused on keeping an eye on the group and making sure they weren't jumped by anyone. It was a boring job, but gave her the entire day to analyze the skills of the group. With the Twins and Miyu out of the way, and Kitsuki and Kye having already got their relics, that meant that she'd end up in the 1 on 1's potentially against one of them, and she wanted to see how they operated more.
    It was a bit of a shame that nobody ended up having to fight, but they had assured a safe victory with little difficulty due in large part to Rini's willingness to negotiate. When it came down to it, cold logic and diplomacy could often beat out bad situations. Theoretically, Rini's team had been one of the weakest in the exams, and should have lost, but using her ingenuity, she'd led them to victory without a single casualty. If that wasn't indicative of her skills, then she wasn't quite sure how she'd prove herself without fighting. It would actually be rather interesting if she could manage to win the exams without a fight, but she didn't harbor any hope that she'd win the 1 on 1's without fighting.
    Team B and the Second Coming Empty Re: Team B and the Second Coming
    Post by Chinoike Yui and Yua Thu Mar 19, 2020 2:34 pm
    Yui would continue to sit and be treated for her wounds, Yua would use Mythical palm to help heal the wounds and as Verd poured the liquid on her wounds she wouldn't flinch. This pain was nothing to her, she felt nothing to this sort of pain, after all, they had much worse done to them in their lifetime. After several hours her wounds were finished and she would take care of Yua injuries with mythical palms if Verd wanted they would teach her this technique if she did not already know it. Yui would show her exactly how to mold the chakra and how to effectively treat the wounds with it. After finishing the pair would stay with the group the next night as well before all would part ways, The twins would bow and be polite clearly not showing aggression. For being beings that were supposedly pure evil it likely felt like they really weren't and maybe just the way they were raised made them how they were.
