Shoot for the Moon Empty Shoot for the Moon

Post by Ikomiki Mon Sep 28, 2020 7:58 pm

The time had finally come. After all they had spoken about planning on that ship ride Ikomiki would finally get to see some action. Mostly she would just be happy to be on dry land again but the excitement of the operation itself was also coursing through her veins. Having infiltrated into Moonspire and past the Moonwalls in a particularly stealthy way which her allies seemed to be too smart to replicate, Ikomiki would be the first to seize initiative. With her Otsutsuki genetics and the Senju DNA that had been implanted into her she was essentially a walking ball of chakra, bundled so densely and tightly she was likely to give any sensor who caught sight of her tenketsu a heart attack. Finally she had a chance to let loose and start using the power that Akihiro had granted her. First she would form some innocuous seal to use some innocuous jutsu. The snake seal. It was nothing special. All it did was further reinforce that chakra output she had. Her tenketsu strained, and for a moment she almost felt dizzy as they rushed to handle the increased chakra output. It was the most basic preparation. Then the fun could begin. What happened next was almost too chaotic to follow with the naked eye.

The Tiger seal was made. From the ground surrounding her several hundred Wood Clones would rise up. Five hundred to be exact. Given that she had done this in the open, basically just in the center of the small town that surrounded the Moonspire, it would likely be with civilians surrounding her. These five hundred clones of Ikomiki rose up around the civilians who were just minding their business, and the moment they were created they would all rush out. A few of them moved to make a perimeter of the town. A lot went to guard the gates, but then any area that a potential escape could be made from would be cut off. Fifty or so were dedicated to this task. The other four hundred and fifty?

One would draw a kunai and simply swipe it at the throat of an innocent passing bystander. The rest in its group would follow. Their purpose here was wanton destruction. These three hundred simply went around slaughtering, using their basic ninja tools and weapons at hand to slaughter anyone they came across. Civilian, guard, soldier - All would be cut down indiscriminately. Chaos immediately rang out, people screaming and fleeing in terror only to be chased down and torn apart.

Her eyes activated next. Four beasts were summoned all at once to the surrounding area after the clones had spread out. She finally got the chance to flex her Rinnegan, and the Animal Path. The Giant Crustacean, the Giant Rhino, the Giant Drill Beaked Bird, and the Giant Multi-Headed Dog - All were summoned in sequence, and then all would begin rampaging. Buildings would be rammed into, torn apart, lifted and thrown, along with all other sorts of damage to infrastructure that could be managed. To start, the bird would give a flap of its wings and blow a massive gust of wind in one direction that the clones had made sure to steer clear of. The target was the Moonspire Estate, which would be presumably ripped apart should the attack hit. One hundred and fifty meters of land would be torn asunder by the slashing vacuum pockets coming from the Great Sickle Weasel Technique after it passed straight through its target, devastating the town behind.

The main, the origin of this carnage who hadn’t moved, would laugh. All her summons came with their own Rinnegan, and from their actions she could watch the ensuing battle.

Shoot for the Moon Empty Re: Shoot for the Moon

Post by Hana Kaguya Mon Sep 28, 2020 9:06 pm

Hana hurried to a vantage point near the Moonspire, leaping upon a large building several meters from the ground level being just a few dozen meters away from Ikomiki and Akihiro. As Ikomiki began the creation of her Wood Clones, Hana formed a short series of hand signs and charged her water release chakra from within. Inhaling deeply through the nose she expelled the water through her mask's mouth hole. This water would quickly expand and grow rapidly as Hana simuteneously shaped it using her chakra. Soon the woman stood upon a massive wave towered several stories high. Layers of the wave crashed down onto the population away from her allies. They indiscriminately toppled buildings in their wake, shattering the bones and organs of civilians unfortunate enough of being caught in the initial blast.

The waves didn't stop as Hana charged another freak flood right after adjusting her angle to flatten more virgin land. She would repeat this iteration for a third time until the majority of the town suffered a catastrophic flood, turning a fair portion of the land into a small ocean as the water settled in the low lands after rolling through the civilian populace and destroying important buildings in the vicinity. Water would inevitably flood towards the direction of her allies, but not nearly as deep and not concentrated to cause damage. A minor inconvenience for massive gains. Hana watched the destruction unfold with a pleasurable smirk under her mask. The years of abuse endured from Kumogakure. The hardline policies enforced and faked virtue, now all coming back to haunt them. It was like relieving years of stress in a few bursts of pleasure. The people dying were none of Hana's concern. Those choosing to live under Kumogakure's corrupt world view had the consequence or unfortunate odds of staying.

Kumogakure's decision which started this war was their own doing. Now it came to bite them back. Everything Hana needed to communicate was done prior to leaving the ship ensuring to release as little detail as possible about herself or her allies. Hana remained vigilant to her surroundings and watched the destruction unfold as well as her ally's plans to carry out damage.

Shoot for the Moon Empty Re: Shoot for the Moon

Post by Uchiha Akihiro Mon Sep 28, 2020 9:35 pm

Akihiro had followed Ikomiki inside the village, eager to know what she'd be capable of doing. Up until this point he had always been very protective of her, keeping him at his side all the time. But the apparently fragile girl was capable of far more than she let on at first sight. Despite knowing about the power of the Rinnegan and knowing he had granted her the power of the Senju Clan, Akihiro couldn't help but be impressed by the sheer amount of destruction Ikomiki was capable of causing. She was no longer the scared kitten he'd rescued from the Chuunin Exams, Ikomiki had grown into a fearless tiger whose only weakness appeared to be travel by boat.

He felt proud of the way she'd grown, and was only slightly disturbed by her maniacal laughter while she had her clones murder hundreds if not thousands of innocent civilians. It was indeed a nasty business, but war was nasty. The stench of blood running through the streets of this town would soon reach Akihiro's nostrils. It was a familiar scent, and one which he had learned to live with despite not loving.

As for Akihiro himself, he'd made a clone which he kept next to Ikomiki so there were two Akihiros next to the cat girl both wearing an enchanted spider silk mask and cloaks. The clone would close his eyes and activate Mind's Eye of the Kagura, scanning the town and other several hundred kilometers beyond its walls. He could detect four other major chakra signatures besides his allies...which meant those were potential targets. One of them had to be the man responsible for this place, and Akihiro would want to have a chat with him. The clone could also sense thousands of other smaller, non-trained tenketsu but they were fading away little by little. Like tiny light dots disappearing in the darkness, with each movement of those clones another light would fade out. This place would forever be tainted by this action. Above all however Akihiro was looking for desertors. People who attempted to run.. he didn't mind letting civillians run if they could somehow escape the army Ikomiki spawned, but if any of the present four chakra signatures in town seemed like they were making a move for the wall or gates the clone would immediately alert Ikomiki and stronger measures would be taken to prevent an escape. In addition the clone would detect anyone who tried to approach and engage in combat with him or his allies.

They were standing in the middle of a plaza somewhere near the center of the town, a few hundred meters away from Darhk Tower. Which meant Akihiro had chosen the perfect target for him. While Hana was more of a woman of quantity- indiscriminately bringing down any building that couldn't resist the power of all those gallons of water, Akihiro was more a man of quality. He didn't mind not causing mass destruction himself but he would certainly make sure there would be no building left to coordinate a possible defence. And the most important building on this town was outrageously obvious: The massive Darhk Tower.

Akihiro would waste no time, he made handseals and placed both his hands on the ground. He would use the Earth Release: Sandwich Technique for a couple of reasons: First because they were just the right distance away from the tower to make this a perfect technique choice, and second because an Iwagakure Exclusive Technique was likely to sour relationships between Kumogakure and Iwagakure which worked perfectly for both Kirigakure and Konoha.

And thus two enormous rock formations, each 250 meters in height and length, would rise from the ground capturing anything in their way and they'd close in on the Darhk tower from opposing sides with tremendous force, smashing everything caught in between. Both of these formations were big enough to dwarf even Bijuu in size, and each half would have the symbol of Iwagakure inscribed upon it.  The base and up to 250 meters of Darhk Tower would be completely and utterly crushed between these two rock formations of S-rank durability, and anyone who was inside this section would be mercilessly crushed by rocks. The rest would be crushed by debris and gravity as the immense structure began to fell towards the direction opposite of Akihiro, Ikomike and Hana. Of course this technique didn't affect Akihiro or any of his allies both because he properly aimed it but also because neither Hana nor Ikomiki were in crushing range. Some of Ikomiki's clones would likely suffer, but that wasn't a big deal especially because none of the ones setting the perimeter were killed due to how Darhk Tower was located in the centre of the town.

After this was done Akihiro would immediately stand up and stand guard, attentive to his surroundings and simply waiting for his clone to give the alert that a target had been found. His Sharingan would seek out targets as well, capable of seeing chakra even through walls.

    OoC:

The businessman sat back in a comfortable chair as he watched everything unfolding below via the security cameras placed throughout the town as the lone woman entered the gates. The man walked over the wall and the small woman that stood in front of the tower and making hundreds of clones.

"Do you think they mean to kill everyone in town?" "Well what do you think you moron, does it look like they are peaceful?" "Well their killing everybody..." "And what does that tell you?" "Their gonna kill everyone in town.?" "That's right! Good job Saburo, your so smart."

"Will you two shut up!" Damien glare at the pair as they stood behind him watching the destruction that was being unleashed below on the same monitors, safe within the AirShip hovering one kilometer above the town. The town was small, with the exception of the tower and the man's own mansion, the only thing in the village was the homes of his employees. The bank was empty, none of his extracurricular activities could be linked to this town. Leading the man to only one conclusion, they were there for him. Either they wanted to try and force him to craft something for them, or they wanted to ransom him for one reason or another. "Captain, Lower us down to 650 meters keep them all in view and ready the cannons. Target the ones on the rooftops and the center of that cluster on the ground." "Aye, Sir."

"Damien you cannot be serious. There are innocence down there, your employees do their lives mean nothing to you?" "No, They don't. Kill them All, they are a dime a dozen. There are always more waiting." "You don't mean that." "Oh dear sister I do, they are going to die anyways. Why not let their deaths hold meaning?" "I won't let you do this," "You can't stop me, Saburo take her out of here now." "Yes sir, come along now" "I will Kill Them All if I have too."

As Saburo carried Chloe from the command deck, Damien couldn't help but ask himself why someone would attack Moonspire as he continued to watch the people on the the cameras. The summons that tore apart the town and destroyed his Mansion, the tidal wave of water that destroyed homes of his workers, even the boulders that while tiny compared to the tower were strong enough to the crush the base of the 250 story tower causing it to topple over onto those that stood at the base of the tower. The destruction was untold and soon there would be no camera feed left, causing them to only have the windows of the AirShips command deck to see what is happening. As ordered the captain ensured that was possible, making sure they had a good view of the roof tops of the houses and the mass of clones in front of the remains once standing tower. "Cannons ready, Sir." "Fire." 4 of the 16 chakra cannons on the airship would fire simultaneously, 2 aimed for the cluster of Ikomiki's and the two Akihiro's in front of the once standing tower, and 2 aimed at Hana on the rooftops. The beams from the chakra Cannons would travel at 175m/s, travelling down from the AirShip hovering 650m above the ground in under 4 seconds dealing A-Rank damage and only adding to the destruction below. Destroying buildings, killing Civilians, hopefully some clones, and attempt to damage the attackers. "Ready the other cannons," Damien would order as soon as the first four were fired, the other 12 cannons locked onto the individuals primed to fire if the attackers tried to move towards the ship. The male didn't care if his employees died or his buildings destroyed, he can rebuild and hire new peons to work for him. However he was not the type to sit back and let an attack against him go without reprisal.

Shoot for the Moon Empty Re: Shoot for the Moon

Post by Ikomiki Tue Sep 29, 2020 12:42 pm

Ikomiki’s clones were only as fast as she was. Which was honestly not that much faster than the average human. Her skills in that field, raw speed, were still sub-Jounin in strength. This was relevant as, despite Akihiro’s lack of care for the matter, none of them were caught in his Sandwich Technique. He only used it a few moments after she created the clones, and none of them had the raw speed to make it to that section of the town by the time he had crushed up Darhk Tower. It was somehow her own lack of skill that ended up saving her clones. That being said she would make sure to be more careful in the future. It was tight maneuvering in here with all the carnage going on. She had to be careful not to end up having her own clone army destroyed by her allies’ attacks.

Of course, there was a more important thing to worry about. As it turned out having over a thousand eyes in the city allowed for some things to be noticed rather quickly. Her summons all had shared vision, and so once they came out they were able to spot the airship floating in the sky. The eyes of her bird were large enough to catch it in the peripheral vision, and some of the heads on her multi-headed dog were arranged to look straight up. There was also the fact that the airship was so massive it cast a ginormous shadow down on the city, and it was just so big that spotting it was child’s play. Basically it was impossible to not notice it in the sky, even at the height it was at. Ikomiki jumped on the Giant Drill-Beaked Bird in response. A gesture would be made to her allies for them to join her. Presumably Hana, Akihiro, and Akihiro’s clone would join that party. As the airship was still lowering itself the bird would begin flying straight up, and they would already be in the sky by the time the cannons fired.

Unfortunately there were a number of design flaws with a ship like this. With the cannons placed as they were, with three on the broadside, six on the bow, and four on the stern, there would be a significant dead zone in the range it was capable of firing in. Even if the cannons could rotate three hundred and sixty degrees it would be impossible to fire at things directly below it without blowing huge holes in the ship and tearing itself to pieces. Being the fact that they were on the ship itself they fundamentally only could have a one hundred and eight degree range without operating in some sort of suicidal firing techniques. This could have been solved by having a cannon on the direct bottom of the ship, but it seemed as though situations like this weren’t planned for. The same was true for directly above the ship, but they weren't approaching from above.

It took four seconds for the bird to fly six hundred meters up, traveling at one hundred and fifty meters per second. This was as the massive, lumbering airship was still getting into position. Being as slow as it was the bird could run literal circles around it if that was necessary. Even if the airship tries to maneuver away the bird would just be able to follow. By the time it would be ready to fire and had finally maneuvered into being exactly six hundred and fifty meters above the ground the bird would already be in the ship’s blind spot. Assuming those cannons were even still fired they would just end up destroying more of the town below and likely kill a chunk of clones. If they tried to still hit the trio flying up they'd just end up blowing chunks out of their own hull.

At six hundred meters up from the ground, fifty meters away from the ship, the bird would give another flap of its wings. The thing was nearly the size of a two story house. Large enough to carry them all on its back, although Ikomiki made sure to use the wall walking technique to basically glue herself to it just in case. That same wind jutsu from before would be cast, sending a massive amount of air currents to create vacuum pockets that would presumably tear open the ship’s underside.

Her clones and the rest of her summons continued their work in the city below, the wanton slaughter not ceasing even with the battle above.

Post by Hana Kaguya Tue Sep 29, 2020 2:23 pm

Hana remained mindful of the leviathan which suddenly appeared above the town, forced to maintain flight as it was too massive to occupy the town. It would take someone completely unaware of their surroundings to not notice the massive fortress in the sky, especially considering such constructs were so uncommon and almost exclusively to the Land of Lightning's budget that it existed nowhere else. The Heavenly Emporium was one thing, but seeing this airship was yet another marvel of the decade. Was this the future? Kirigakure was perhaps the first to take a step towards modernization, having advanced into a Metropolis years before the other nations and even invested into infrastructure to help accommodate its ninja. But what Hana was witnessing was almost abominable. Security cameras, airships, and who knows what else. The quickly advancing technology she felt directly threatened ninja life. It didn't take long to fantasize what could happen next, or what bizarre inventions could be produced after this.

She may never know, and frankly, she wasn't keen on dwelling on the thought. The short destruction the three created caught the attention of the vanguard which hovered over the town as its shadow grew with the ship beginning to descend slowly. Hana darted her eyes to the side at the rest of her party, mostly hoping for Akihiro to take lead as she was not equipped to deal with this sort of construct. But it appeared Ikomiki was the one to act first, beckoning the party to board the massive bird summon. Being only a few dozen meters away Hana seemingly appeared on the back of the bird in a single burst sprint from the two-story she stood on and used chakra at the base of her feet to secure herself on the bird's body. Immediately Hana expelled her chakra from her body to materialize a three meter wide shield of water which protected her directly, as well as Ikomiki and Akihiro.

During their ascent if any chakra cannon threatened them it would be shown in the mirror and expelled back towards each attack effectively cancelling them out. The mirror would remain in front of Hana acting as a first line of defense against any further attacks directed towards the ninja. Hana remained vigilant with her sensory active to detect any more potential charge ups as well as directional shifts of the cannons. She allowed Ikomiki and Akihiro to collaborate in trying to take down the thing. Hana knew what Akihiro was capable of in their battle at the Eastern Gate, so she expected nothing short of effective.

It was true that missing the massive airship above them was downright impossible. Not only did it cast an equally massive shadow upon the battlefield that Moonspire had become, but it also made a lot of noise with every crank and twist of its interior machinery. There was no way in hell anything of that size could ever be used for a stealth attack. Because Akihiro was observing his surroundings with Sharingan, he was able to notice Ikomiki's gesture even before she performed it and hurried in joining her on her bird. Since he was so close to her this took barely an instant. The clone also being alerted by the sound, would jump onto the bird. Both Akihiro and his clone would focus chakra on the bottom of their feet in order to make sure they wouldn't be blown away off the bird by any daring maneuvers- Akihiro trusted Ikomiki but one could never be too safe.

Protected by both Hana's Water Mirror Technique and the speed of Ikomiki's bird Akihiro had a lot of time to consider a counter attack. Not that he needed much of it, but it was nice to have some manoeuvring space regardless. He made the Horse hand-seal as they ascended and start molding a massive amount of chakra within his body. The technique he was about to use was, he had to admit, one of his favourites. Some called it the pinnacle of Fire Release Ninjutsu and while any Fire Release user could in theory cast it as long as they practised enough, as an Uchiha Akihiro had a reputation to uphold- even if none of his enemies could actually tell who he was. Hana and Ikomiki knew, after all. He positioned himself, angling the technique so that the initial fire stream wouldn't hurt any of his allies. This was actually simple because the stream was actually rather small until it advanced a few meters and suddenly turned into the deadly technique it was.

The seal was made, the chakra was molded. His Sharingan caught on what Ikomiki's bird was about to do and Akihiro couldn't help but feel immensely satisfied. This attack would probably be one the most devastating ones he'd ever pulled and that included the time he cast Amaterasu on Nozomi Himitsu.

At the six hundred and fifty meter mark and when 50 meters separated the bird from the ship, he released the jutsu. The small stream advanced a few meters and it suddenly grew immensely, fed by the Wind Release Technique Ikomiki's bird had cast. What had begun as a tiny spark inside him would suddenly grow into into a literal sea of flame, which would cover a massively wide range, making the technique extremely difficult to either avoid or contain especially for a target as large and slow as that airship, It was said this jutsu required the combined efforts of several Water Release users in order to extinguish the flames, but by being fed by by Wind Release the technique's power was likely to grow even further. It would extend as a massive wall of flames 250 meters in length and sweep through the target in its path as it advanced 500 meters, engulfing the airship in hell flames.

The tears in the hull caused by the wind release ninjutsu would grow wider due to the intense heat applied on the metal. That which had once been sturdy would be heated into a molten state and torn apart by the Wind. This resulted in not only the airship itself being engulfed in flames but also in its interior being invaded by wind blasts and fire, because the fire would then rush inside the ship through the gaps created compromising crew members and most importantly compromising the airship itself. Screams would certainly be heard from the inside depending on how many people were aboard the ship- and the stench of burnt oil and metal would fill the air around them. Because of how effective an overheat is against the so-called modern technology based on circuits, critical systems were bound to fail and bring the ship down. As long as the jutsu did its job the airship would immediately start falling towards the town in a catastrophic clash which would kill not only hundreds if not thousands of more civilians but also anyone aboard the ship.

Akihiro's clone frowned. Their original intent had been to capture Damien Darhk but the nature of the conflict prevented them from doing so swiftly and effectively so they'd been left with no other choice. The clone knew it had a job to do however, and so it kept a close eye on the chakra signatures it had locked on to. Not only to keep an eye out, but also to make sure Damien Darhk died. Akihiro believed it was virtually impossible for someone of Damien's constitution to survive the flames, heat and not only a several hundred meters fall but also the weight of the airship falling on top of him. Despite Akihiro's beliefs however, he'd like to be sure the job was done and so the clone kept an eye on Damien's chakra signature as well as the others. Not in the literal sense but through sensory because the clone's Sharingan would now be active and scanning the ground for any potential counter attack.

Chel had travelled to the ship that was under attack, and because they had to make contact with Masaru, would deliver Rini's message as per asked. Oblivious to the attack that was happening, because the Angel was unable to do anything that would make sense, Chel delivered Rini's message to Damien, putting Mende in his head. Damien was of course smart enough that he could understand and reply to Chel.

ⵔⵉⵏⵉ ⵡⴰⵏⵜⵙ ⵙoⵎⴻ oⴼ ⵢoⵓⵔ ⴱⵍⵓⴻ pⵔⵉⵏⵜⵙ, ⵛⴰⵏ ⵉ ⵙⴻⴻ ⵜⵀⴻⵎ?

The Angel was asking Damien for some blueprints, as Rini had requested them. She had access per her contract, but the Angel needed to see the blue prints that Damien had so it could convey the pictures back to Rini without a problem. If Damien had anything further to respond back with urgency, then that would be required.

Post by DamienDarhk Thu Oct 01, 2020 12:58 am

"Belay that order Captain," Damien shouted as he saw the woman jump to the bird, his voice echoing through the room to the point that even Saburo who was carrying Chloe from the room stopped. "Fire all cannons at the bird now. Fire Now!" All 16 cannons would fire off at the bird, since the bird was flying towards the ship they didn't have to wait for them to be 650 meters above the ground to shoot. With the bird closing the distance for them even though they were at 800 meters they would be able to shoot their target, this would of course do little more than slow the approach of the bird if the bird dodged the blasts. Damien knew something like the bird alone could destroy the AirShip and the three deadly attackers on its back only made what was about to happen all the more obvious to the man.

"Saburo, I think it's time." Damien would say solemnly before even seeing if the blast would hit or not, immediately Saburo would sit Chloe down and walked back to the window at the front of the ship. "Time for what?" Damien's sister would ask as she looked to him for an answer, "Damien what's going on?" Damien moved to his sister quickly placing his arms on her shoulders to get her attention as he knew there wasn't much time left, "there is no time to explain Chloe. Do you trust me?" "Damien tell me whats happening?" "Do you trust me?" "Yes, but I'm scared. You're scaring me." "I Know I'm sorry, but I need you to let me do this." "Just tell me everything will be ok," "everything will be ok, I promise." "Alright do it," Damien hugged his sister tightly as a single tear rolled down his cheek, "Captain, Protocol One." "Aye, Sir" The Captain started flipping switches, it only taking a few seconds to reach the desired effect. "Goodbye Overwatch," the male whispered softly as the girl disintegrated in his arms having used the body elimination Technique on her so that she didn't have to suffer through what was about to happen. Chel arrived asking for blueprints at the worst time mentally for the man, and Damien swung at the floating creature in anger even though he knew it wouldn't do anything to the thing. "Tell Rini to piss off I don't have time for this, Can't you see my entire empire is being destroyed you oblivious idiot!"

Protocol One was the last resort of the AirShips, when it became clear that the battle was lost in order to prevent the enemy for saving any piece of technology or torturing the crew. They were still descending to the 650 meter marker and at approximately 700 meters the AirShips power would cut off and it would begin a drastic drop from the air. The ship itself may have been slow, but without power keeping it in the air and it's large size gravity would take care of the rest. Damien was beyond given up preparing for the inevitable end that would come from the crash. The entire ship would rock as it was hit with a wave of wind and fire, the sound of the hull ripping apart could be heard even inside the command deck. Damien could hear the screams of those outside the command deck and knew it would not be long before the flames reached him, it was then that he felt a tug on the back of his suit and before he knew what was happening he was being carried.

"It's not over yet," came the voice of Saburo seconds before crashing through the window of the AirShip. "Saburo we won't...." His words would stop as he saw what was beneath them, his town had become a lake of water and Saburo was aiming to land in it. Damien doubted this would work and even if it did they would still be at the mercy of the attackers, but there was nothing he could do about it now. Saburo had lept from the airship with still 50 meters between them and the water, even if the impact didn't kill Damien it was sure to kill Saburo and Damien couldn't help but feel like the other man knew that. The ever loyal Saburo keeping his oath to the man to protect him with his life, though in this case it was more of a last ditch effort. Though in all honesty he was surprised Saburo even had a thought of his own, the ship exploding pushing them further away from the wreakage that would be left of the AirShip. Saburo taking the blunt of the force from the explosion to his back before twisting himself holding Damien in his arms and putting himself between his boss and the impact to the deep water below. The image of his Mistress flashed into Damien's mind as he looked up at the clear sky. 'I am sorry my love,' he thought to himself as he felt Saburo hit the water.

Post by Ikomiki Thu Oct 01, 2020 11:50 am

    Hold on!

The bird swerved around in the air. Even though the Water Mirror would reflect all sixteen of the cannons being fired at once Ikomiki would take evasive actions just in case. Part of it was just in case, at least. Part of her also had a sort of childish desire to just twirl around on this bird avoiding cannons. Even if they had a higher speed than the movement of her bird, these cannons only fired in a straight line. As long as she could avoid their aim, and she could by twirling around and  swerving unpredictably on the ascent, she could avoid them easily. For some reason the massive airship would deem to cut power before they actually got into place, but that basically stopped nothing with how fast they got to their position. The bird would flap its wings, and Akihiro would blow his fire. The entire ship would combust into flames as two S-Rank jutsu collided into it around the same time.

Of course, the problem now was the fact that they were all directly under a falling airship that was burning. The moment their attack was finished Ikomiki would begin their escape plan. The speed of the bird resulted in there only being seconds until they got out of the way, flying out from underneath until they were around the front, not too far from the cockpit. They were here for a purpose after all. It wasn’t enough to just slaughter civilians, destroy buildings, and crash this airship. They had to actually have some sort of confirmation that they got what they came here for… Oh.

Someone jumped from the ship just as they were getting near the cockpit, crashing straight through the window like a madman. She immediately corrected herself, realizing it was actually two. Not like that would do that lots of good. The entire airship had been consumed by flames, and by jumping through that window not only did they just shred themselves with the glass, they would both basically instantly be caught in fire by the remnants of Akihiro’s S-Rank Katon technique. They would both be dead long before hitting the ground.

She swooped forward on her bird, angling to catch the two charred, ashy corpses before they hit the ground, although it was a close one. Of course, Ikomiki wouldn’t be the one actually catching them. They would be up to Akihiro or Hana to play catcher here. She wasn’t really sure which was their target, and it would be hard to identify with the remnants of the fire.

Alright. We got what we came here for.” She assumed. Honestly neither of these could be Damien’s body as far as Ikomiki knew. It was hard to tell, and that wasn’t her job. “Let’s leave. Staying around here picking through scraps will be a waste of time. I want to go home.

Pointing a finger out to the side, a flare gun would fire out above the city. Immediately all her Wood Clones would see, along with the remaining summons. The three summons that hadn’t been the bird would poof immediately, and then all the clones would take care of themselves. Forming a quick hand seal, each would activate the nine explosive tags they held on their person at the same time. With five hundred clones doing this at once four thousand and five hundred tags would all detonate in the city. Only sawdust would be left from the clones, and the already ravaged city would basically be flattened as a result. No evidence. Of course, Ikomiki made sure to maneuver away to not get caught in the blast. The airship was likely crashing at the same time as well, so that would only do even more damage to the remnant of this city. Presumably Akihiro would teleport them all out after that.

The trio riding the bird served as a mobile fortress of their own, far superior than what any machinery could accomplish. While technology was convenient it came riddled with flaw. It encouraged Hana to speculate about her own nation. Targeting any of her radio towers would cut off communications making them vulnurable. Perhaps it would be wise to not rely heavily of these devices seeing as any ninja practice was superior. That's when everything clicked. Hana remained almost motionless on the bird's back feeling the radiating come off of Akihiro's fire display, a magnificent technique she utterly missed due to her daydream.

It makes sense now... She said staring blankly up at the ship through her veil. The practices tough by her clan and in the academy. The importance of tradition and nature. Why meditation and augmenting the spirit was just as important as the body. Why ninja practiced close to nature and mastered the elements. The gift of Ninjutsu is one of nature. The bird veered around the ship to avoid being swatted by the heap of heated metal now freefalling towards the ground. Hana snapped back to reality for the moment in order to focus on what was in front of her.

Focusing her attention back on the ship she would witness its destruction and something else. A man leaped through the glass cradling another in his arms. The summon positioned itself to act as a net for the burn victims, though Hana didn't intend to let any potential threat be near any of them. Reaching to grab her katana on her waist she stepped off the bird and gained aim momentary. Just a few meters off the summon she swung the katana in a single diagonal arc. With her incredible strength and quality forged blade she would be able to slice through both the bodyguard and Damian in a single swing, their flesh already tender from the cooking they've endured. Hana would fall back onto the bird summon safely resuming chakra control to maintain secure. The body part of the two would fall upon the bird's back and be safe for now, though any sudden shift would cause them to fall.

Sheathing the sword back into its scabbard Hana collected the body parts and dropped them before Akihiro. Perhaps he needed them for something was her guess. Akihiro requested the corpse of Tatsu, the former Hokage, and found some value out of it. So it would only make sense that the effort they've gone through in collecting the bodies meant something. Hana had already achieved her goal. "Let's go." The only words she spoke during this entire raze. There was nothing remaining, especially after Ikomiki detonated her bombs from below. Unsure what needed to be done she held into Akihiro's arm and awaited teleportation, albeit a bit nervous.

Shoot for the Moon Empty Re: Shoot for the Moon

Post by Uchiha Akihiro Thu Oct 01, 2020 6:14 pm

The sheer amount of destruction caused not just by the Great Fire Annihilation technique but also by the trio in general was nothing short of amazing. Within a few minutes they had managed to raze an entire town back to dirt and debris and reduce a large airship to ashes. Despite every effort made thus far it was hard to see technology ever reaching this kind of raw destructive power. The once prosperous town and mighty airships fell to the Sage given gift of chakra manipulation and Ninjutsu. There was just no competition at this point. The world could be cruel and merciless for those without the gift or talent to effectively manipulate chakra, but such was the way of the world and Akihiro could do little more than follow its laws.

Akihiro was done casting his jutsu but the flames persisted around the airship, burning all around and within the ship itself. The Uchiha too did stare up in awe at what would likely be a one in a lifetime picture. Despite all the destruction, the flames painted a beautiful picture in the sky. The burning oils and chemicals within the ship as well as the metals would create a unique mix of colours he'd never forget.  His eyes would then pick up on something crashing through one of the cockpit windows. Debris perhaps? No, too big. His Sharingan focused on it and he saw two men holding on to each other, badly burnt by his jutsu. He doubted they were alive, but only his clone could confirm through sensory. Hana wouldn't wait for this however, and instead jumped up to meet them in the skies.

With a precision and technique Akihiro wouldn't have been able to accompany without his Dõjutsu, Hana sliced both the man and his bodyguard in two. there was a certain grace to her movements which he envied, and the way she managed to not only land back on the bird at his side but also make her targets land there as well was nothing short of admirable.

In the meantime, Akihiro's clone used its Sharingan to watch as Ikomiki's clones made themselves explode and reduced an already damaged town to absolute dirt and dust. Their job there was done. So the clone puffed and its chakra was returned to Akihiro. Feeling Hana's solid grip on his arm right arm, Akihiro would produce a scroll from the seal on his wrist and with a swift movement open it and quickly seal the corpses within. Then he'd grab the scroll and put it in his pocket while taking out a smoke bomb from his wrist seal. Popping the smokebomb with a quick move, he'd reach for Ikomiki's arm grabbing it as well.

And within a single moment, within just a whisper of wind and smoke, they vanished in the style of the Flying Thunder God. The airship would crash upon the ground, killing any remaining survivors and becoming unrecognisable, but none of them would be there to see it. Their mission had been accomplished and while they had been forced to go loud, they had all managed to keep their identities a secret. They would thus move on to their next adventure.

The resounding crash from multiple levels above them resounded through the massive underground complex. The sound of the ship Damien had been on impacting the surface obliterating most of what was left up above in a fiery mess of rubble. The next explosion would come as well although Tamwyn wasn't sure what that was from. He couldn't know it was from the clone's detonation. What he did know at that point was the last of the security cameras had been destroyed. Tamwyn stood there for a few moments, his mask off, his yellow, piercing eyes looking angrily at the monitor that was now simply displaying the white fuzz some referred to as 'snow' on the screen. The town above was destroyed, everyone that had been above the underground complex, and probably even those within the first few levels of it, were gone. However it would seem the attackers hadn't known of the vast underground complex itself. That Damien had designed Moonspire, Darhk Tower, and Moonspire Manor, to be what was quite literally only the tip of a vast iceberg beneath protective layers of the very Earth itself.

Tamwyn stood within the security room, where all of the cameras in the area had linked back to. It was a massive room of monitors. They had managed to catch camera footage but Tamwyn was too in shock to know just how much at point. The resulting crash of the airship had been catastrophic, the airship had been brought down by one of those cowards directly above the city he was sure. Although by the time Tamwyn had zoned back in the feed displayed nothing but snow. Evidence that the cameras had all been destroyed by some manner or other.

He took the master tape, it switched between camera views every few seconds to make sure everything at any given moment was recorded. Then he put it in his coat, to ensure it's safety he would carry it personally. Speaking softly, he would turn toward his companion. "We gotta go.." He would say simply, before reaching for her hand. It seemed like the danger was past, although he expected the upper levels of the underground complex to be flooded in places. He did seem to remember lots of water going around in his relatively fuzzy memory at the moment. However they were too far below to be at risk of anything caving in on them and the underground of Moonspire had multiple exits.

Moving toward a button built in he would depress it and an alarm would begin to sound. It wasn't the alarm of an attack. No, they had one but it was mainly for conventional attacks or when a guard or scout saw something and reported in. This was the alarm of evacuation. The underground had employees still within and once the alarm began to sound they would begin exiting rooms, many of which were shock proof to prevent interruptions to their work. They wouldn't know what was going on. He'd turn toward one of the employees, a man who looked at him confused for a moment. "Damien is dead, the village is a mass of wreckage and dust. Everyone is to converge on exit 'AA-23'. They are not to exit before I get there, I'll be exiting first to ensure none of them stayed behind or came back or something." He would say, his tone crisp and firm. The man would have a moment of shock before nodding, emergency protocols, they were to evacuate and exit AA-23 was the underground sections exit not far from the gates of Moonspire. It was set apart from the gates a fair bit, to ensure that it wasn't overly damaged if the gates were attacked. It was labeled as a maintenance hatch, numbered 3263827. With the orders given the man would begin to distribute them, the word moving quickly through the various halls.

Sighing Tamwyn would turn, and provided he had taken the hand of his companion successfully earlier, would begin to lead her through the halls. Although he would move up the walls, using chakra to stick to the surface and run there. It was faster for security personnel to travel like that when things got crowded and it would help them get to the exit in good time before some idiot disobeyed orders. He had the tape with him, safely in his coat. The tape that hopefully held all of the information they would need to figure out who had done this, probably. Moving through the halls they would eventually reach exit AA-23. Tamwyn moved toward the ladder and took position at the, moving up a few rungs to ensure he could be seen by the gathering crowd. "Everyone move up as quickly as you can. I know it's a long climb, but bear with it. When I reach the top do not follow me out until I give the all clear. Then move as quickly as you can. When someone gets out, turn and help the next one." He would say simply turning to the nearest individual. It was Zhu Li, Damien's assistant of all people, she looked stricken, like she was going to be physically ill at any moment. However she held herself together with determination. "You're in charge when we get topside. I need to get to Kumogakure immediately and traveling at civilian speed will only slow me down." He would say, his eyes bright with fury and determination to ensure that the information was brought to Kumogakure as soon as possible.

She simply nodded, not even a word of acknowledgement. That was fine, he could understand why. Moving to the ladder, he would regretfully let go of the hand he had been holding, provided he'd been holding it. Before taking the first rung and beginning to climb, it would take time to reach the top, they were multiple levels down and climbing a ladder took time even for the fastest of shinobi. Eventually Tamwyn would reach the top and take the release. He would activate his sensory, ensuring that no threats were within the area, standing perfectly still and focusing he would sense chakra within five hundred meters. He felt those beneath him in the shaft, and no one else. All was quiet and the attackers had gone. He'd pull the release, and a hiss of air would come into the shaft, as well as some dirt and dust. He nodded, the explosions had caused quite a bit of debris. He wasn't surprised to find that it had been buried beneath dirt and dust, possibly stone and wall material too. However that was part of the reason why Tamwyn had gone first. He pushed hard against the hatch, feeling it give little by little, it wasn't heavy enough to be buried under stone, it was probably just dirt and dust then, which was good. Eventually he'd win out, and the hatch would abruptly swing open, the light of day casting downward into the shaft.

The pale haired man would climb out of the shaft and hold a hand up to forestall the next person. He looked around, and sighed dejectedly. The town was little more than rubble. Not a single building still stood. Darhk Tower had fallen, luckily not over this shaft, they would have to get back to Kumogakure quickly, he would have to get there faster. He searched around to ensure he hadn't been mistaken with his sensory before nodding and reaching down to take the hand of the next person in the ladder. Helping her out and then moving to stand guard as others began to come out. He would stay long enough to ensure they all got out. Then they would have to leave, immediately. He would have to travel at his best speed to Kumogakure to report in. To ensure this tape got to them. He'd keep his senses open and sharp, all of them, including his chakra sensory as he searched for possible threats, or maybe possible help. Once everyone was out, he would immediately begin to move, running to leave the area immediately.

Shoot for the Moon Empty Re: Shoot for the Moon

    Post by Yen-Lì Wed Oct 07, 2020 6:18 am

Yenn was in a state of shock and denial as she watched the battle that went on above ground. The viciousness of the attack was something she would never forget. She had thought she had known violence and fear, but seeing the wanton destruction of an entire city and its peaceful inhabitants made her need to turn and expel her breakfast into a nearby waste bin. She was equal parts anguish and rage as she watched the monitors, feeling helpless to do anything against such powers. Three people that quickly transformed into hundreds as clones seemed to grow out of one of the assailants and mighty creatures with ringed eyes were summoned. Massive waves of water and towering pillars of earth knocked the massive Darhk Tower to the ground, clones slitting the throats of any civilians nearby. And the screaming. She cried as she watched, horror keeping her eyes glued to the screen as her mind begged her to look away. The screams of thousands of people as they were tortured to death. Some drowning in the multiple water jutsu, some crushed beneath falling rubble and still others left gagging on their own blood.

A quiet “No, no, no. . .” would escape her lips as she put together what was happening. The destruction that was going on was not a simple attack, it was a devastating amount of power that was being levied against Moonspire and Damien Darhk. There would be no prisoners, no escape for anyone above ground. This was more than guerilla warfare or terrorism, this was the sort of attack no one walked away from.  She knew that she had been hired as part of a security team, because Damien had expected to need an army. She knew she should be stoic and strong, but it didn’t stop the tears from pouring down from her violet eyes as her heart broke.

As the final cameras above ground were cut and a white and black fuzz was all that was displayed she would turn and retch again, overcome with grief as she felt the seal lift from her bones, knowing that just like her; every employee of Mr. Darhk now knew he was dead. She hadn’t known much of Damien Darhk, only that he was a man of ambition who had wanted to help her achieve her dreams. He had hired her to help defend him and she hadn’t been ready, just as she’d feared. She could feel her panic rising and knew it wouldn’t be long before the storms would come again, but then she saw Tamwyn’s hand reaching for hers. Placing her palm into his she felt herself calm, his stalwart presence giving her the strength she needed in that moment to control her emotions. Yenn watched as he took the master security tape and placed it securely in his coat, nodding at him as he told her they had to go and follow along with him as he moved to take control of the situation underground. He spoke with authority and before long the employees in the underground base were mobilized and following the evacuation plan.

The alarm sounded as Tamwyn pressed a button and the sound of it beat in time with her broken heart. She had no authority here and so she would stay silent as her partner delegated the completion of the evacuation to Zhu Li. Running along the wall with him she took in the information that she had gleaned. Exit AA-23 and then out beyond the destruction of the city of Moonspire. The world was a blur of efficient and somber activity as they made their way to the exit, Tamwyn making his way up the ladder first with her following behind once he held his hand out to her to help her up. The monitors hadn’t prepared her from the reality of the city, the smell of blood and burning flesh and metal in the air turning her stomach and making her gag. Taking her free hand she would gently touch Tamwyn’s shoulder, her voice soft and meek as she tried to say something, anything to make this better. “Tamwyn I. . . I’m so sorry.” It wasn’t enough to ease the pain of this, and as she helped pull people out of the underground maintenance hatch, 3263827, she tried not to focus on the grief and horror stricken faces that she kept meeting. Once everyone was out she would move immediately with Tamwyn, running away from the area and back to Kumogakure to report the war crime.
